Woot woot for Hump Day!!

I better get this started quickly, since She-Cat who must not be Named is trying to escape from my bedroom ATM. I tried to convince her that she wanted to hang out in there with Ravyn, but you know what it is like trying to convince a cat anything.

It was so nice to see my MIL. She lost both of her cats last month. 2 in 2 weeks and MIL is an official crazy cat lady so it was weird to see her house pet-free. I helped steam clean her carpets, no that they won't be peeing on them anymore.

Have any of you ever heard of a cat that doesn't pee on carpets? Everyone I know who has ever had cats has complained that they do that. In fact, I need to steam clean my own carpets again soon (again!). Short of ripping up all of my carpets and getting new ones put in, it seems like a never ending battle.

And "good news" (I think.... LOL) I picked up 2 more cleaning jobs. One doesn't start until the summer and the other starts nextweek. I could not turn the woman down- this is the one I cleaned for last month who had a double mastectomy and MS. And she can't get her reconstruction done until she finishes chemo which can't start until her MS is under control better. How the heck do you say "Nope, sorry I can't help you, my ankle is swollen today" to that? Its just going to be vacuuming and light dusting, so it simply means that Gary and kids are going to have to do a bit more *here.*

(Good luck with that one Chris.....)

Do any of you have cute and easy craft ideas to make for Mother's Day? I have been looking at pinterest and haven't found anything I can make for the moms yet.
Last year I made these amazing coffee can lanterns, but sheesh, they took forever. I had to drill patterns into the metal cans. They looked really cool, but since I need to make 3-4 of whatever I decide to do, it can't be that time consuming again!

Gary's birthday is also next week and I think I am going to make him home made short breads.
Starting tomorrow through the end of June i have 7 b-days, 3 anniversaries, Mother's day and Fathers Day, and Cait's graduation. I think that is it, as I count on my fingers hahaha!

OK, that is all I can write for now. The "Zilla is pounding down my door. ;)

WWW:
I wish cats respected personal space and time.
I wish that people wouldn't experience so much illness.
I want a personal chef, trainer and housekeeper. Now.

HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ooh, she ran off....... looking for the Dub Step Mice that live under the fridge. (don't ask LOL)

Phyllis- love your vet's name. Great response to YMG!
Whew on no snow. in my next life I am either going to be a cat or a weatherman.

How was your day off Trudy?
More school stupidity: Caitlyn missed her Peer Mediator Ice Cream party yesterday afternoon along with the majority of the PM's. The school has State Testing this week and can't say Announcements. So they couldn't remind the kids that the party was yesterday after school. She didn't remember it was yesterday until she was already on the bus going home.
No announcements? B/c of testing??

Hope that R feels better today Kristy!

Maureen- can't say I blame you one bit for not running out in hail. I'll share pizza with you!

Laurie- hope today is better for you!!

xoxo

Morning...I am not really in the mood to go up to the Detention Center but once I get there I mostly enjoy it. That seems to be my typical reaction.

Chris - our Siamese cats never peed on the rugs but when the last remaining one was on his last legs, he occasionally dropped a turd. It just fell out of him and surprised him just as much as it did us! He was still fastidious about his box though.

Laurie - a house on the water, er I mean ocean? That has been my lifelong want also but not in this lifetime I suspect. btw, there is a bayfront home not too far from me which has dropped $500k down to $700k. A great buy but still out of our price range at this time of our life. Just sayin'! in case you're buyin'!

'morning, everybody. the sun is shining again. how'd THAT happen?? going to the opthalmologist today for my yearly, mainly to find out why i have so many "floaters" in one of my eyes. i've never had such a BIG one. really annoying. it's like being able to SEE your contact lens!

Chris, my cat doesn't pee on carpets. at least not yet. i've never had a cat that lived to be 10, so what happens from here on, who knows. i've often thought about what i'd do if he became dribbly in his old age? preemie Pampers? somehow i can't see a cat tolerating such a thing.
you know what it is like trying to convince a cat anything.

Laurie, have a happy day thinking of beaches! wouldn't it be great to be able to live someplace where you collect happiness just from being in the place where you want to be? i'm a mountain girl myself. the older i get, the more the ocean scares me. and i've never been one to enjoy baking in the sun. i go out and do yard work for a few hours on a good day, and i've got a dark tan that lasts until the following January!

Trudy, we must be on the same sleep schedule. no matter WHEN i go to bed, i always wake up around 6 hours later. i've been fitting in a few more hours though. i started doing this "old people" (or GUY) thing. i go sit in my recliner and try to read around 10 p.m. i inevitably fall asleep and wake up about an hour later. THEN i go to actualy BED. so i sneak in another hour on the front end!

Kristy, hope your daughter is feeling better. i remember those days so well. my son was spiking fevers and scaring the wits out of me on a regular basis when he was young.

Maureen, good move for not heading out in the hail! and, hey. your pages are bowling me over.

Happy OTHD!

Morning All!

Chris- How about some note cards with some of your lovely digital kits. Or maybe resize a few of your already done pages into note card size. Congrats on the new jobs you were able to get.

Laurie- Have a good day and when you get that house on the beach you will not be at a loss for company becuse we will all want to come visit you!!

Maureen- Enjoy your day at the Detention Center.............that does not sound quite right now, does it!

Had a fun Girls Night Out last night with several friends. My mom has an eye appt. this morning and time to get her some new glasses. Hopefully, I can catch up on all my other jobs this afternoon.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

mountain lake, ocean or lake- as long as I can hear the sound of the water lapping and don't have people totally on top of me- I will be happy. my favorite small lake- cayuga lake- favorite park- long point park- favorite beach activity- searching for beach/sea glass- I even have a rare red piece- and if at long point- hunting down lucky stones-stones that had worm skeletons in and the surf has washed them out leaving round holes!!

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!!

I have a busy day planned. I have a teacher conference for Addie today. then I have to run home and cook food for a potluck at my husband's work. After that I begin the journey of starting a business. I am nervous and extremely overwhelmed...but I've got to do something. I'm opening a coffee stand. they have the stands on every corner in WA but here there is nothing. A couple of Starbucks and a couple of shops but not a single stand. I'm in the process of looking for a trailer but most of them have waaaay more than I need since I don't need any cooking stuff. Just counter space, water, AC, a refrigerator and a way to hold ice. So today I have to contact the property manager/Owner where I found a spot I like and talk to a bank or two to see what I need to try and get a loan. I know I need more than an idea. I am sad to not be doing x-rays...but there rae just no jobs. My mom is being a brat with her support. You've heard of a backhanded compliment? Well, it's like she's giving me backhanded support. It's frustrating...but I have support from my husband, kids and friends, and my sister. So, that's good enough for me. I just wish my mom was more useful with this because I want her to be my accountant. What do you do?

Well, I have done any personals in FOREVER...so I'll do some before I have to race to get ready.

Chris - Yay about the jobs. I know how much that helps you guys out. How ridiculous about the no announcements at Cait's school. Lame.

Okay...we have these loud speakers all over post where they play the military music from...they also play cadence in the morning when the guys are doing PT and now for some reason they are playing bells...like a clock. Weird. I guess that is my alarm clock to get moving.

Laurie - Just listen to Kenny Chesney's Some Beach (I think it is Kenny Chesney) today. Hugs. I hope your day goes quickly for you so you can move on to tomorrow.

Maureen....isn't that how it always is. Going places just sucks...but being there is good. HUgs. I hope your day is good.

Phyllis - so weird about the floaters. I need to go get me and my DD eye's checked too. I just keep forgetting. I don't want to go while my allergies are so bad. Soon hopefully.

Donna - glad you had a good night out. Those are so necessary sometimes. good luck getting everything done.

Okay...I used more time than I alloted (as always) and now I have to get ready. Later!!

Clara, isn't that an endearing trait of some moms? i know JUST what you mean. mostly, though, i get that kind of "support" from my sisters.... and good luck on the business venture. it could be FUN!

Donna!
I once knew an ortho (bone) doc whose name was Dr. Bonebraker.

Morning ladies... it is pouring here today!! :rain: I am just here quickly to say hello and then I have to high tail it to work :bolt: Did get some shopping done yesterday bought two new pairs of running shoes for work and some capri pants. The shoe store had buy one pair get one pair for 1/2 price so how could I resist??

Chris - yay on the new jobs !! Every little bit helps right?? My Mr. Abu never peed on my carpets although he did leave me a few hairballs as gifts! yuck!! Even when he went blind he still made it to his litter box. I still miss him!!

Laurie - I would love to be right on the water also, I hope that one day you get your wish!! I can see the lake from my house, but can't hear any waves lapping.

Maureen - I feel the same way about going to work, but once I am there its all good!!

Donna - Went for a nice long walk and thought of you... sometimes I wish I didn't have to walk alone. But after dinner hubby and I went for a long walk again.

Phylis - If I fell asleep in the chair, I would never be able to fall back to sleep again, its so frustrating :frusty: Oh well guess all I need is 6hrs.

Clara - How exciting that you are going to have a coffee stand!!! Bet you are a bit scared too! Good luck finding that perfect trailer!! Hope the Bank is generous with their loans!!

Well I gotta get outta here and grab my umbrella, hope you all have a great day!!

Okay.....I am no computer whiz...so yesterday was strange...First...I had to call my IP to let them know I was having problems...you know how that goes....they switched our IP address (I think) and "hoped" that would fix it....we were having intermittent service....
but then it got really weird...every time I tried to post in the forum it wouldn't let me...and when it finally did, I got this really scrambled up mess that looked like a computer brainscramble :mmph: I gave up for the day and just said forget it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My furniture is coming today...new living room furniture for us...first "real" furniture for us!!! Our living room furniture has always been bargain basement stuff, or hand me downs....so this is a real treat for us!!!

We have the D.A.V. coming to pick up the old...should be here most any time..and the new will be here this evening between 4-6 pm (which I might add, we HAD to pay $100 for delivery..I tried to get out of it...and I told them I wanted a morning delivery....could they have put me any further away from morning??)

That's about it from me...other than my aches and pains....I don't have a lot of strength to scrap these days....I am going to make an appt for the DR next week...It's time :frown: The only thing that helps is very hot :emptybath: One could only wish she could live in the hot :emptybath: ALL DAY..with a :champagne
