good morning....our spring break will consist of April 22-25th LOL yep they only get friday and monday off...nice huh? but they also get this friday off....so whatever...works for me LOL

Goooooood Morning ladies! I just realized I haven't been in here in a while again. I've been busy busy busy. I am finally done running all over the state, not to mention to NJ, PA, and DE as well! I have found a horse! Yay! I am now awaiting adoption approval.

I finally made some LO's too! yay. The ones I did for my CT I feel are way too simple, except for the Mardi Gras one. But I just finished one this morning, drawing inspiration from our galleries and I feel great about it! I did not use anything from my CT though. Hopefully I'm back!

I am debating whether to sell all of my paper goods, or hang on to them for hybrid work, and for the kids to play with. You should see the disarray my cottage is in right now. The kids got into my stuff over the winter. There is paint spilled all over the carpet. Now mind you the carpet is just remnants thrown over a very old yucky wood floor, but still. It was new carpeting in great condition! Now it's multicolored and crunchy! My scrapbooking supplies are all over the place too. I had everything neatly organized, which for me is no small feat! This is why I like digi. No Clean up! So that will be my project for the spring.

The cottage is bare bones. DH plans to put up insulation, 1 panel at a time, and then drywall- the same. We plan to eventually be able to let guests stay there. We got a really nice futon from Goodwill last year for only $20! I also plan to eventually turn it into my portrait studio. So if I do keep my scrapbooking stuff, I plan to make it all portable and move it to the cellar so the kids and I can use it here in the house. Right now the only time I am able to go out there is in spring and fall when it isn't too cold or hot. No heat or cooling system in there. That will change within a year's time though hopefully!

I think Spring is finally here in MD. The temps have finally risen above the 30's. I have tons of flowers popping out of the ground. I can't wait till they all bloom! Now that the rains are here we were able to re-seed the lawn. It literally is all weeds, though it is pretty much green! I love how everyone is getting into making their own gardens. That has been my plan for the past few years, but has never taken off. I want to make raised beds so I have less weed problems and don't have to dig up the ground. I plan to use them to create a sort of patio border, though I do not have an actual patio. The kids are all excited about starting one too. We hope to start up one special garden just for the kids to plant whatever they choose.

Well, I have written a novel here. I need to go get ready for the gym. I joined a local gym. Only $20 a month and I get to bring a friend for free every time I go! So T,W,Th I go with my friend. I just bought Zumba for the Wii and man does that kick your butt! And on Fridays DH and I go out ballroom dancing. I cannot believe how much I have learned in such a short time. In the beginning I had a very hard time following. I had a couple nights out without DH and had some great dance partners, most were instructors, and have finally learned to follow. Not to mention tons of new steps. So now DH needs to catch up and learn the steps as well. Unfortunately I am a terrible teacher! I absolutely love dancing now though! I used to hate it. So long as there are steps to follow I am good. You won't find me out free dancing though. I feel like I'm just flailing in the wind and look ridiculous. So I now know how to: Samba, waltz, Rumba, salsa, cha cha, east coast swing, west coast swing, club swing, foxtrot, and merenge, some tango! Next to learn Viennese waltz and quick step. And on top of that the last dance we went to was a benefit to raise money for a MS bike marathon and I won a free month of Zumba classes at the silent auction! Woo hoo! Now to just find time to actually go.

Ta ta ladies. Have a fantastic day!

im in Nebraska...but its weird cause the school the girls went to before we moved they got the whole week off so i guess it just varies here LOL and i know the catholic schools where we used to live only got 2 days off as well....

Good morning ladies!!

Addie is in the bath making a big ole mess so I thought I would hop in here real quick. Sorry I haven't been in more but with my mom here it was hard. But I am here today. I had a great visit with my mom and got to hear the other side of the conversation going on between my mom and sister regarding the wedding. I am pretty sure my head is going to start spinning very quickly. I ended up having a total meltdown yesterday. My mom is hard to vent to because she tries to show both sides of something and when you are upset about something you don't want to hear about the other side you just want to yell or cry and hear "This will all work out." My sister has already started having bridezilla moments and I am going to pray that by the end of it I can enjoy the wedding with her instead of just being thankful it is over. She does not handle big events well...she never has. Yay for only 4 months of this stuff.

Today I am starting my bridesmaid diet. I haven't quite decided what the bridesmaid diet is...but I am guessing it will include zero sugar and some separation of carbs and protein. I lost a ton of weight on the Suzanne Sommers diet...but I gained all back as soon as I started mixing foods. I just need to accept it as a lifestyle change and stop eating so much junk. I love candy...all candy. Anything from skittle to snickers. So, no more of that and much more water.

Alrighty, I need to hop off of here so a couple of personals...

Chris - Ugh!! Supermarket time stinks. I hope you survive it. I did a Trader Joe's/Costco run yesterday which helps out the other grocery store runs.

Kristy - That is so weird about the shortened Spring Break. Our spring Break was left alone as far as snow days...which was great, but we lost all of our long weekends. Now I just have to figure out what to do for it.

Katrina - Welcome back. I sold all of my scrap supplies at a garage sale for $75. If I need anything I just buy what I need and that's it. I kept a couple of things that I might use but in general got rid of everything after not scrapping for over 2 years and I have never looked back. Good luck trying to decide.

Suzy - How is Suzy-land?? Isn't it unreal how early Chris gets up? And she doesn't go back to sleep. That would kill me.

Poppin in here to wave hi wildly!!! I have a bunch to do today (what's new, right????) and hope to get at least some of it done!! yipeeee!!!

hope everyone has a HOPE-Filled day with their dreams in the forefront!!! :)

hugs,
love you all!!

Hey Clara! Diets are so tough so I don't envy you but I promise I will be here if you need someone to talk you off the Snickers ledge!

My mom does the same thing!!!! She's always trying to keep neutral when all you want is someone to agree with you or even just a simple "yes, I know". Drives me CRAZY!!!

Thanks Sally! Was that smoke I saw coming out from under your post as you whizzed back out to start your day?!?!

Good Morning everyone, Happy Hump Day!! So far its sunny here today, but that could quickly change around here. Short shift today and then a day off...Horray!! Sure hope to at least get some scrapping time in on my day off and also going to get my eyebrows tinted, they get so light that it looks like I hardly have any eyebrows. Then hubby is taking me out for dinner. Horray!!!

Chris - sorry that the weather is not cooperating for your spring break, I think that it has been a slow start for spring everywhere, sending warm sunny thoughts your way today. How did your dr. appt. go?

Sorry can't stay to do any more personals... gotta get to work :bolt:

Hey everyone- Clara good luck with the bridesmaid diet!
Katrina- good luck with the Viennese waltz-I love it, but only to my wedding song
Chris- hope your day went well
Trudy- hope work went well

I got to mow lawn tonight- I love to mow lawn. I love the smell and seeing my property from new angles! I need to finish my taxes tomorrow and see my OBGYN for annual- bleck!
