Goooooood Morning ladies! I just realized I haven't been in here in a while again. I've been busy busy busy. I am finally done running all over the state, not to mention to NJ, PA, and DE as well! I have found a horse! Yay! I am now awaiting adoption approval.
I finally made some LO's too! yay. The ones I did for my CT I feel are way too simple, except for the Mardi Gras one. But I just finished one this morning, drawing inspiration from our galleries and I feel great about it! I did not use anything from my CT though. Hopefully I'm back!
I am debating whether to sell all of my paper goods, or hang on to them for hybrid work, and for the kids to play with. You should see the disarray my cottage is in right now. The kids got into my stuff over the winter. There is paint spilled all over the carpet. Now mind you the carpet is just remnants thrown over a very old yucky wood floor, but still. It was new carpeting in great condition! Now it's multicolored and crunchy! My scrapbooking supplies are all over the place too. I had everything neatly organized, which for me is no small feat! This is why I like digi. No Clean up! So that will be my project for the spring.
The cottage is bare bones. DH plans to put up insulation, 1 panel at a time, and then drywall- the same. We plan to eventually be able to let guests stay there. We got a really nice futon from Goodwill last year for only $20! I also plan to eventually turn it into my portrait studio. So if I do keep my scrapbooking stuff, I plan to make it all portable and move it to the cellar so the kids and I can use it here in the house. Right now the only time I am able to go out there is in spring and fall when it isn't too cold or hot. No heat or cooling system in there. That will change within a year's time though hopefully!
I think Spring is finally here in MD. The temps have finally risen above the 30's. I have tons of flowers popping out of the ground. I can't wait till they all bloom! Now that the rains are here we were able to re-seed the lawn. It literally is all weeds, though it is pretty much green! I love how everyone is getting into making their own gardens. That has been my plan for the past few years, but has never taken off. I want to make raised beds so I have less weed problems and don't have to dig up the ground. I plan to use them to create a sort of patio border, though I do not have an actual patio. The kids are all excited about starting one too. We hope to start up one special garden just for the kids to plant whatever they choose.
Well, I have written a novel here. I need to go get ready for the gym. I joined a local gym. Only $20 a month and I get to bring a friend for free every time I go! So T,W,Th I go with my friend. I just bought Zumba for the Wii and man does that kick your butt! And on Fridays DH and I go out ballroom dancing. I cannot believe how much I have learned in such a short time. In the beginning I had a very hard time following. I had a couple nights out without DH and had some great dance partners, most were instructors, and have finally learned to follow. Not to mention tons of new steps. So now DH needs to catch up and learn the steps as well. Unfortunately I am a terrible teacher! I absolutely love dancing now though! I used to hate it. So long as there are steps to follow I am good. You won't find me out free dancing though. I feel like I'm just flailing in the wind and look ridiculous. So I now know how to: Samba, waltz, Rumba, salsa, cha cha, east coast swing, west coast swing, club swing, foxtrot, and merenge, some tango! Next to learn Viennese waltz and quick step. And on top of that the last dance we went to was a benefit to raise money for a MS bike marathon and I won a free month of Zumba classes at the silent auction! Woo hoo! Now to just find time to actually go.
Ta ta ladies. Have a fantastic day!
