Hello and Happy Wednesday. This is my advice for today. I tried it out yesterday and it seemed to help.

If rearranging letters doesn't help, then try a margarita next. :hosed:

Talk about a gorgeous weather day yesterday and I loved every minute I was able to spend outside. I swear I am a different person when the weather is nice. Gary and I debated whether to go for a regular walk or a hike and we decided on a hike. The four of us (dogs included) did really good. I pointed out a few of the things I saw when I was out with Scott. Baby white pines and the general area we saw the blue heron. We took a different trail this time and saw where some of the other trails branch off. Gary's pain levels were a lot lower yesterday so he was able to take the trail that had a little elevation to it.
After lunch, I spent more time clearing the dead leaves off of the side garden areas. The Vinca vine is completely taking over one spot. I hate ripping up plants and not replanting them so I need to take a peek at some places where I can put them.
Unfortunately, I didn't see any sign of Tif. I have been peering into the pond (tiny water feature in the front garden area) looking for possible tadpoles, but I only saw two more baby goldfish. We threw in a couple of feeder goldfish years ago to eat the mosquitos and they have been fruitful and multiplied and gotten huge. There are too many for the tiny pond but we don't know what else to do with them! They have lived through some really hard winters, snakes hanging about, and even bear cubs taking a bath in the pond.
These goldfish are the same kind that you get from a carnival and that die in a week. The ones we got seem to be indestructible :floorlaugh:

Scott and Sam were here for dinner and OMG, Sam has some of the funniest stories and such a hysterical way of telling them. She had us cracking up over a turkey that befriended them and would chase their car down the road. LOL You can see how the two of them make a great pair. ♥

No big plans today. Grocery shopping- well- pickup. Yard work. Scrapping. And the dreaded paying of the bills. Yuck.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

@Nonni F Ahhh, yes. Dirt Therapy is the best. Hope that the weather is cooperating and you can spend some time outside again.
I am still smiling at my forsythia. Also noticed that it's growing too close to the fire pit, so it going to need some trimming.

@taxed4ever I saw the picture of your gifts on FB and love the solar lights. And I also had to look at that Spa. PLEASE take me with you!! I won't get in the way, I promise :D The hydropath spa has me swooning! The pictures of the place are incredible, have you been there before?
Your weekend sounds like it was full of fun and love, only a little bit of frustration with FIL's Gmail account hah. Enjoy your hike today, and no more cleaning the house. You've done a lot.

@bcgal00 That's good you were able to catch up on some sleep. That is a really smart idea to take a picture of your suitcase now. It stinks that the airlines charge so many extra fees but hopefully, you'll get everything packed and under the weight limit. My friend is going to FL to visit her DD and was saying that one of the airlines had a good price but they charge for everything, carryons, backpacks, even a large purse!
Good luck to Jen, I hope the bracers are coming off!

@Cherylndesigns LOVE the photo of you all at the table. I can see why it was an important feature for the family.
The image I have of Ava and Braden wrestling, I bet it was way funnier in person but I am LMBO as it is :giggle4:
Kisses to your plant babies!

@tanteva Should I be insulted that you think of me when you cook something disgusting? :rotfl:
Miss you, Lady!!!

Confession: I still prefer ravioli with butter over red sauce *hangs head in Italian shame and guilt*

@LSlycord Good luck at PT today. Make sure that if it hurts or is uncomfortable-- speak up! I have had a few PTists who push too hard and made things worse and I wish I had told them to ease up.

@vickyday Wow-- I am so happy that you are feeling better! 10 lbs in 10 days sounds nice on paper but it's no wonder you feel dizzy and weak. This is where Mama Chris comes in to tell you not to push yourself.

Thanks, Arline-- we are fine up here but have been getting fire warnings the past few days and long with NY and PA. A few weeks ago, someone was burning garbage (illegal in NJ), and sparks set off a huge fire that spread and took out three homes, one to the ground. *fingers crossed that doesn't happen anywhere else*

HAGD!

I remember when I lived in the desert in California. Darn campers would set the entire ridgeline on fire going to sleep without putting out their fire. We've been under a fire warning here for the last two days but thankfully nothing big has come about.

For the record... I usually eat ravioli with butter as well. Also for the record.... the older I get the more any red sauce or gravy hits me in the acid reflux department.

@vickyday HOORAY for feeling better. I hope each day things continue to get better.

@Cherylndesigns I love that my family is not the only one that wrestles. I'm a whole generation older than three of my siblings and my brother who is eighteen years my junior and I still fight and wrestle...and my mother STILL yells at us. I was already grown, married and in the military when he was growing up so it's sort of like we're going in reverse and getting my childish today as are ages begin to seem not so drastically different.

@LSlycord good luck at PT

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Good morning ladies. I'm off for my hike in a few minutes. My right eye is hurting from the glaucoma drops, sure hope that improves. I still have a low grade headache and light sensitivity. Hopefully as my eyes get used to the medication it will improve. But the main thing is that the drops hopefully are doing their job and helping to stabilize the glaucoma. It's bothersome but tolerable.

I've got to go get dressed for the hike. I'll be back later. HAGD.

Enjoy your hike. One of my coworkers takes the drops and I remember in the beginning it was uncomfortable. She doesn't mention it anymore. I'll have to ask her if it got better.

Morning everyone! I am going to have to be quick today! My hike is in a little place called Mesachie Lake and beautiful little spot but quite a ways away. So I need to get my back pack ready and get going very soon! I did have a lovely lunch with my sisters yesterday and they got me some very beautiful presents. :lovey3: Is it wrong that I was a bit annoyed that they did not have one thing prepared for lunch that was Keto for me?? I mean really?? I have been Keto for 6yrs or so. My one sister said to me well can't you break your diet for one day??? NO I CAN'T!!! So I had about three cups of tea and a super small portion of birthday cake without the graham wafer crust. The rest was all sandwiches with really thick bread and big chunks of Cantelope, and other melons all of which are packed full of sugar . Maybe I am being too much of a princess :princess:?? But why are you trying to sabotage my way of eating?? I love my sisters but :holysheep:. I told my sister Wendy who prepared all the food, that I didn't want her to think I was ungrateful but if I were to eat all that bread I would have terrible stomach issues and all that sugar would have thrown me out of Ketosis. Am I wrong to be feeling a bit hurt?? They have done the same kind of thing for the past three birthdays for me and every time I tell them that I can't eat that way!! I think maybe its time to stop doing these birthday get togethers. Anyway thanks for listening to my rant!! I really have to get going, its a super sunny beautiful day here so maybe the hike will put me in a better frame of mind!! Sorry no time for personals today!

@bcgal00 oh, dear.. here I am playing Oscaps Dr again.
Just checked with my coworker. She said the eyedrops irritated her eyes and she told her doctor who changed the Rx.
The new one was much better.

You're better than me. I would not only have been annoyed but by the third year would have brought my own lunch bag. ;)

Good afternoon all.

It's 11:59 so it will be well into afternoon when I finish.

Chris @faerywings how cool to be able to hike and even take the dogs. You're learning so much from Scott - remember Ava's BF, Ryan? He knew EVERY tree and always pointed them out - he was such a nature guy like Scott. He never did bring me some bamboo before they broke up. LOL Yes, I knew you'd get a laugh about the wrestling - that always takes the decibel up about ten notches. @Nonni F I'm glad our crazy family isnt the only one who wrestles - that is always on the agenda - after dinner, the wrestling breaks out. It's nothing for the kids to be rolling around on the floor. It's always been Looney Tunes when our family is together. We got to laughing again yesterday about that poor guy who had never been around us. :pillowfight:

Chris @faerywings I remembered that you said your mom's doctor made a comment about your ripped jeans! I was telling Ava about that yesterday and she said "WHAT?????" i always say "but they're strategically ripped". :rotfl:

Break the catsup out - Eva @tanteva made an appearance!:D Miss you, girl!

Hugs to all and Happy Hump Day!

MEET STEVE. My voodoo doll.
Steve is actually my coworker who has lung cancer. When he was in the hospital a couple years ago I sent him a photo of a voodoo doll I got off the internet and said, "did you feel that?" ...and that is how it all began. A couple years later and a whole lot of treatments and procedures... we progressed. He started sending me photos of his drains. I'd send another photo of another voodoo doll. Last fall he had to have a procedure and his wife sent me a photo of him (the one I made a transfer of and made into the doll. ) He thought he was funny. He told her before going under.. when I come out you need to send Arline a photo. I one up'd him and made a real doll of him. For the next eight weeks he was out of work, I sent daily photos of his employees mowing the town green with him on the riding mower (he's in charge of buildings and grounds) The folks who always aggravate him in the rec department... actually posed for pics USING the pins. He went everywhere with me.... with photos taken all over town. Now that he's back at work.. Voodoo Steve sits on my desk.

If he has taught me one thing, it's to laugh every day and live life to it's fullest. A lot of people ignore the giant elephant in the room... he and I laugh in it's face.

PEACE

Good Evening!
Had a bit of nausea today. Ate a dry piece of toast but that didn't really help. It did ease up throughout the day. I finally ate around 3:00. I've felt OK this afternoon/evening. On to day 3 of the antibiotic!
:bye2:

OMG!!!!!!!!! Hysterical!!!!
:lol23:
Laughter is the best medicine and I can only imagine how this makes him smile.
And man, I really appreciate people who have warped senses of humor. Tell Steve that I adore his voodoo sidekick and am mentally added some pins to the cancer cells
