Good morning all! What beautiful weather we've been having in Iowa...wish I were on spring break with the rest of the family!

And what about those chatty girls in the gallery run! Wow! Love all the lovin' going on!

Got to run...but wanted to tell all the Cheery-O's and designers how awesome the celebrations have been! Good job my friends!!!

good morning... I've got to hit the gallery, I'm soooo behind... yesterday we spent a lot of time working on the yard... in the front of the house we're re-locating a non-fruit bearing pear tree and putting a pink dogwood in its spot... we got an azalea from Daddy's services so we took out the evergreen by the front door (which I'm allergic to), and we're going to put the Hino Crimson azalea in its place... then I'm going to put a topiary or something on each side of the front door, but Lowes doesn't have all their flowers and stuff in yet... I trimmed all the shrubs and cleaned out last year's debris, and we've got rubber mulch to put down in the front!

In the backyard we're creating a flower garden complete with fencing so the dogs won't destroy it... it's gonna have pink, climbing roses, 2 yellow Hotel California rose bushes, and miscellaneous other flowers... then we're also planting some raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. Then we're gonna complete the backyard with both a regular bird feeder and a hummingbird feeder... my hope is to make a concrete pad at the side of the deck for the grill and move it off the deck so we can place a small set of table and chairs there. Plus I want to set up some kind of canopy over the deck/backdoor to offer shade since the sun shines on the backyard from 1 p.m. on...

sorry I'm a blabbermouth this morning... gotta get going in the gallery while I can - today's ballet class!

Happy Hump Day!!

The O'Birthday has been so much fun!! SO glad everyone is enjoying the festivities, I know I am!

Last night I caught the impromptu chat with a few of the lovely O ladies....it was a good time.

Today I am headed to my friend's house, she is prego with her 2nd and has a DR appointment, so I am watching her 2 year old with Nico and they always play really well together. Then well have lunch and hang out until naptime. Then Ill be back. and in between sometime I have ot do laundry, vacuum, and a couple of other things.....yay fun. That's it from me ladies...see you all later!!

Wednesday! Yay! it will be a busy day here. Plants arrived via air shipping yesterday afternoon so the greenhouse will be hopping at school today. I just hope we can get the bulk of them planted since we have a four day weekend starting tomorrow.
Sandra I'm so jealous that you're out working in your yard already! I can't wait! The robins are back so it won't be too long. Just one more good snow storm then spring!
I'm so jealous of all of you that have been able to hit the gallery and leave loads of love. No time at all here

Oh I am so happy with the weather forecast for today- it is supposed to get neat 60* wooooot!
My mom is coming up today, she want to take me out of the house for a bit. Gary and I are starting to feel like hermits. I have nothing to buy, no $ to buy with but it might be nice to get out and see the sun!

Linda-- there is no way I can even think of keeping up with the gallery run.Its crazy in there! LOL

Ooooooh Sandra!!!! Your yard and yardwork sounds sooooo wonderful! I wish I could come over and help you!! I think that would make both of us feel better. Gardening is my oxygen, and to be able to do it with you would make it so much nicer! Please take pics, I would love to see the progress!
BTW- what zone are you? We're 6 and it is still way too cold to do anything- although I am seeing little bits of green popping up!Crocus and lillies!

kelly- have fun withthe boys! It was always so nice when I was pg with my #2- I would leave scott at my cousin's. She was close to my OB and she had a boy Scott's age, and was pg with her #2 as well. She liked it as well, until the time I went and didn't come home- they sent me straight to the hospital with Pre-term labor! Whoops!

LindaP- oh please stop making me jealous with the warm weather! Glad the kids had fun. I know, I am one of the least competitive people around, but for me, it is how the kids "feel" about the contest/game rather than the actual score that makes you feel like a winner. Glad your kids felt that way!

Dawn, hope to see you in some of the chats! But work must come first (boo hiss to work!)

Tali- LOO at the cheerio fight. Vut-- much better than a Cheery O fight lol! Your chat as great too, thanks for coming to mine!

I'm a 6-7... don't they just use these to tell you what plants will live where? I'm NOT a gardener... we're getting a LOT of green around here... the trees in my front yard are already starting to bud, but my hackberry tree in the back buds really late... I know with the temps we're looking at some really decent weather in or near the 60's all week with some rain, so I figured now would be a good time so that we can use the rain to our advantage...

Clip off some forsythia branches (mine are getting buds) and put them in a vase in your house. This will force them to bloom early!!

I'll be back in a bit but I wanted to say hi real quick before I do the dishes this morning. I like having time to do the dishes before work but hate having to do them. Blah!!

So, today I should be able to make the chat. Whoohoo!! I can see the chat room and how many people are in it but not the chat itself. It looks awesome though and I am so glad so many people are able to make it and learn their way around the Os. How awesome. I should be able to get to the chat today. Yay. Hopefully the docs will run on time and I can get out for lunch, over to starbucks and online in time to get most of it. Yay for laptops. Well, I have to do the dishges, like I said and pack up the laptop. I'll be back soon though.

Morning ladies! Quickie from me for now. Busy, busy busy!! My gosh. Last night Ella had dance and then I left right away to get a spray tan (can't be pale for this wedding in Vegas) and tons of grocery shopping. Eeeks.

Today I'm co-hosting with Marie-Laure's chat for a bit, and then dear, wonderful Sally is going to help out. I'm so excited about this chat and I hope some of you can make it!! Clara - REALLY hope to see you there girl!

not- you are most likely ok- we are closer to Zone 5 than 6 I think anyway- you are warmer than we are.

If you put anything in and you get a freeze, make sure you mulch it good-- even with old leaves, and/or put a bucket or some sort of cover over it.

Okay I am back!! I just tended my facebook farm. I'm lame, I know. I am getting excited about the chat today. I think I will throw a little temper tantrum if I miss this one. Can you picture a 30 year old lady laying on the ground kicking and screaming? Well, that will be me. I am really hoping the docs are done by 12:30. That would give me time to get over to Starbucks and set everything up and maybe even get a coffee or a snack. Then I can party like a rock star with all of you that will be there. I'm so excited.

I am so happy to see so many of you guys slowly finding time in your days to let us know what going on in your world. I have been missing that for the past couple of weeks. It so stinks when real life gets in the way of our little community here. So...

Chris - That is so great that you have a mom who pays attention to what's going on in your world. My mom is like that too. I think even (sometime especially) as adults we really need that mommy time to get back on track. Your mom is awesome. Yesterday for me was strange because my mom needed me to be the mommy one. She got into an argument with my sister (this doesn't happen hardly ever) and she needed consoling. It is very strange because, until about when Ethan was born I was the one that caused all the family drama. Now I cause almost none of it and everyone that was always making comments about it are the ones that cause the drama. Silly family. We're actually really close and I love them. Sorry, rambling tangent there.

Sandra - It is so good to hear from you and a little bit about your day. maybe it is too early for flowers but sometimes having something to do is worth having to do it again. Of course I hope that you don't have to do it again and everything comes out gorgeous. I really wish I enjoyed yardwork. It seems so relaxing. I just hate it. It is hard enough to keep our yard mowed much less green. We are always getting angry letters from the HOA about our yellow yard.

LindaS - Yay for gorgeous weather. It was kinda nice here earlier but now I don't know since I work in a dungeon.

Kelly - that is so sweet of you to watch your friend's kiddo. It is so nice to get a little break when you are preggo with number 2. Baby shopping and doctor's appts are much easier by yourself. Will we be seeing you in the chat?

Dawn - I'm sorry you have to stress about anything medical. I hope you get good answers and get to move on from it. Hugs!!

LindaP - I have to say...your job sounds great. You get to play with plants all day long with your students? I'm sure it isn't always great but it sounds like it would be a lot of fun.

Tali - I am going to be there. Or like I said...big giant temper tantrum. If that happens I will try and get video so that you can all laugh at me.

Joslyn - I know jelly beans are yummy but how did you eat that many lady!!!! My goodness. Your baby is going to come out looking like a jelly bean. I hope you don't have to watch your sugars too much. Do you have to do another test? I sure hope not because the test sucks to begin with.

Hey Clara - Im going to try and get to the chat, not sure though because usually Nico wakes up around 4ish - 430 ish, although yesterday he was up by 3 because he went down earlier than usual....you know how it is!! so we'll see...he just went to bed at 2pm....and its only now 215ish, hopefully ill catch some of it!!!

good afternoon, darlings!!!

Well, apparently our 10 hour field trip on Monday wiped me out enough to keep me from going anywhere for the rest of the week!!!! heehee!!!

We went to two museums, ate lunch at Pappasitos, went to a big park in downtown Houston and then went home...*sigh* it was totally awesome!!!!! I was pretty hacked that we couldn't take pics in the exhibits that we went to (and paid a LOT of money to see!!). We saw an exhibit about Genghis Khan and then another called the Birth of Christianity. Very very cool exhibits...and you can ask me ALMOST anything about Mongolia and I'll answer ya!! heehee... (all of those details are for you, clara!! heehee!!)

Yesterday, I sat on the couch all day and played and played and played!!! It was fun!!

Today, I've been moving from chair to chair and still playing and chatting and chatting and playing!! heeehee!!

Can't wait for dumpty's chat this afternoon.

I'm off to go and see if that birthday fairy is spreading any more dust...i need some more freebies!!

1 hour left. I'm going upstairs to harass the doctors and see if they are done. Some get done at 12 others run late until 1-1:30. Hi everyone! Another quickie from me, I'm worn out tonight, didn't sleep well last night so going to take a lovely little Ambien tonight. I've been working the gallery run all evening...how do the *queens* do it?! I really like to take my time and look over each layout, add some to faves...LOL
I'm having a lot of fun 'competing' but it's more for fun than trying to win.
