Happy Birthday to my Babygirl! Today is her real b-day but we pretended that yesterday was. Today, Scott and I and Gary (hopefully) are driving down to Scott's Lyme dr att. Thats a whole day affair, and an exhausting and expensive one at that. Then Cait has gymnastics tonight so its a quick dinner on the table and then she is gone from 6:15 to 8:15. Add in HW and it isn't much of a fun b-day.

Gary made home penne and vodka a la Pioneer Woman and we made ice cream sundaes for dessert. She got a few gifts and the family did their "singing" phone calls.
Now I won't feel bad that today is going to be a hectic one for us.





Ok, gotta post quick, the kitten is terrozing the keybd
 
crud! *looks at time* Now I have to run and get Cait to the bus. Shouldn't it be illegal to have to be at the bus stop when it is dark outside?

I tweeted this morning that i was going to do something today. I don't really know what i'm going to do, but i'm going to do something. I figure it Tuesday and didn't we used to do Two for Tuesday or something? So, I've decided. I'm going to do two productive things.

1. Laundry
2. Take things that have been piling up to donation!
 
Good morning ladies :wave: I had a suprise happen to me yesterday, when I got home from work a girlfriend of mine called and offered me a job with the company that she works for. Part time approx. 4 days a wk. straight days and would be at work no earlier than 8am and no later than 6pm. Hmmmm, by george I think I'll take it!!! Now to work things out with my present employer, I hate to quit,but really this is a no brainer right?? Pay is the same, better hours, better working conditions too. Wish me luck!

Congratulations!! That sounds like a no-brainer to me.
What to say? You just tell them you appreciate the opportunity they have given you, that you enjoyed working there but that you were offered a new position elsewhere. I wouldn't just walk out without say a week or 2 week's notice unless they agree to let you go. I personally try to keep positive connections to previous employers as you should never burn your bridges behind you (you never know - you may need the connections again one day).

I will be making some Dutch food tonight - even though in the Netherlands we eat it as a winter dish and I live in Florida :pound:
We call it boerenkool in Dutch; you boil potatoes as if you're making mashed taters, boil the kale with it, then when done mash it all together as if making mashed taters, add a little spoon of vinegar (not much!) and you eat a smoked sausage with it or large meat ball, cracklings something like that. Although I don't have any of those in the house so we will eat ours with pork chops :mrgreen:
A friend will be coming over he wants to learn to scrap so that's what I will be doing today as well :) Need more addicts!

Morning girlies...I'm trying to get over an Antibiotic hangover...I was on some strong stuff and I've decided it knocked me out too badly, so I'm calling the dr for a do-over!

Chris, enjoy your time with your boys, even though it's long and expensive!! What a great time to bond, right??? LOL!! (you know me, always trying to look at the positive side of things!!) and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CAIT!!! yay!! I need to go post that pic of us on her fb!! LOL:)

Soooooooo, today is a sewing/designing new quilty things day. I need to whip up some Christmas angel ornaments and some sheep ornaments. I also have a mini quilt in the works using the fun embroidered car that I created for the Oscraps collab, retrO (which if you don't have, you HAVE TO GET!!! omgosh, it's a HUGE kit full of so much wonderfulness!!!). I also need to start on Krista's advent calendars...they are soooo darling!! (I posted my prototype on my blog!! yipee!!)

What else? I need to get tonight's rehearsal planned for our music team and go to that. No band rehearsal tonight after that (we always do two rehearsals on Tuesday night - worship team and then Brazos River Turnaround) because Mr Gorgeous is in CA *SOB* okay...i'm okay, i'm okay!! LOL!!

Thank you for the welcome! And no you didn't miss me; I haven't posted here a lot yet as I am new. Madi, Madigirl and Laurie seem to have O's as their regular hang out so I came to check it out (I had never heard of this site before I met them - believe it or not :redface:). And I think this may be one of my new hang outs as well!

I am actually a truck driver in my daily life - hard being a diva on a semi! :biggrin:

Hi everyone, just a quick drive by for me today. Looks like everyone is chatty. :) Dutch_Diva, welcome!!

Had a funeral yesterday out of town. It was for my uncle whom I really wasn't close to but we went for my Dad. He wasn't able to drive himself. It was sad as funerals are.

Have a good day everyone! Do a good deed for someone. That was my Uncle's Motto. A deed a day!

Typical day here .... girls, fighting, girls, breakfast, girls, getting dressed, girls, fighting, girls, walk to school, girl, walk home from school, girl and i go for breakfast, drop off last night's movie, see my blog for more details on that, home, girl, dogs, clean up breakfast mess, clean up livingroom, girl outside washing her little tykes house, girl outside killing a spider, sweep, ahhhh finally O time :)

I'm off to work tonight at 5 ..... have to take the doggies for a haircut at 1:30, ya know all the normal stuff!! LOL!!
