I am so sorry to hear that so many of us have been or are stil under the weather. I think it is goign to be a rough winter here. Make sure you get lots of sunshine, good nutrition and no stress! I have also been hearing a lot of good results with Vit D and good health and immunity. I take calcium and Vit D supplements already for my bones, but I might have to see if I should up that dose.
And yes-- do not forget the garlic pills

Linda W did you survive the babies yesterday? Hope so!
That whole Balloon Boy thing- so horrible... how could the father do that? Wacko!


CLara- I am withya on that-- no way could I pout while eating apple crisp! Hope the kids were good for you yesterday too.

Good morning! Back to reality. Logged on to work and it looks like it has been crazy while I've been gone. But I am really relaxed...and going to try to hang on to that feeling for at least a few hours this morning.

Chris, how is Scott? He's in my prayers this morning!

I'll be back tonight to check out all of the spotlight stuff. Can't wait to see this challenge of the old and new unfold!

Good morning girls!!

Sun is shining very bright through my window...it appears that it is going to be a beautiful day...crazy weather though, we had our first frost yesterday morning (it was about 33 degrees), and it got up to 75 yesterday afternoon!!! HEAT WAVE!!!

Miss Savannah is watching Wiggles!!! YAY! I was hoping for Mickey or Pooh like Jaiden! And the boys liked Elmo when they were babies...Although Cameran got into Wiggles when he was 2...I say I don't like it, but it's not that bad...it's just SOOOO much of it gets on your nerves....Sharon discovered she liked it before she went back to work. It's the only show she would just watch and be silent! LOL!!

Clara...I know what you mean about staying away from it...I used to be that way...but staying at home all the time, I have to see what is going on out there!! and it's an age thing too...seems the older you get, the more you NEED to hear about the world! I don't get it. What am I doing every day that causes my post to suddenly go away when it is almost done???? Yesterday I was too sick to rewrite it. Today I'm feeling a little better so here goes, I'll type fast and keep my fingers crossed (while typing?) that the post doesn't dissappear this time.

I'm still sick, but today have not had a fever, so that's good news. Here's hoping and praying that it lasts. Gen was throwing up all weekend too, no good. She seems fine too. Atha so far is not sick. However yesterday she told the teacher that she was not going to clean up her toys, and the teacher told her to move her fish (their behavior system) and she refused, so the teacher moved her fish TWICE. Whooo! On to the fish hook! So yesterday I had her practice putting toys away and being obedient.

Linda W- I don't mind the Wiggles. I actually think Anthony, the blue one, is cute. There, I said it. I like swarthy, mediterranean looking guys with blue eyes. Hey, that's my hubby's description! But some of the girl's shows I don't like. That new show the Fresh Beat Band??? GRRR! That kid who does the beat boxing makes my skin crawl.

As for the balloon guy? Well, I'm surprised more people from Wife Swap don't end up in the news. People are on that show because A) they live according to extreme belief systems and B) they wanted some kind of attention. That's a bad combination. I think that a lot of them are unbalanced in some way or another. So I'm not shocked at all. i feel bad for the kids of course.

Anyway, I'm going to post this right now before it dissappears!

Hello! I'm feeling a little blah at the moment. Not bad. Not bad at all. Just not overly excited I guess. A little sleepy. I wish I were 2 and could take a two hour nap every day. That would rock. Eat lunch at noon. Drink a glass of milk with 2 cookies and then take a nap be up by 2 and still have the rest of the day. you can't beat that.

Tomorrow I meet mith my pastor about my ministry. We need to come up with a plan for it. Find a new leader and stuff. Someone who networks better. I love this ministry but I am sooooo not a networker. I have a zillion ideas for it and want to participate in it but networking is just not my thing. I have a group of friends and sporadic friends throughout the church but I just am not the type of person who networks. I never have been. I have never been good at it. I'm not shy, but once I know a few people I am good. I don't feel like I need to know half of the people in the room. Other people do and so they are better than I am at things like this ministry where you need to know a lot of people. It took this ministry for me to realize that I guess. We'll see what happens with it tomorrow.

So, last night was interesting. I try and make dinner at least once a week that feeds the neighbors too. They feed us all the time and my kids come home with full bellies all the time so I make enough food for all of us too. So I took food over the last night and we were all eating. Well, the oldest boy is very mad at his grandma because his mom told him that it is all his grandma's fault that he doesn't get to see her. She is being horrible (the judge ripper her and her husband a new on in court last Friday). He was being very rude and disrespectful last night and my husband about came unglued on him. It was very interesting to see. He was not used to seeing a male authority talk to him with authority without being abusive, yet demanding respect. His tone changed so fast. He didn't start acting normal by any means but he stopped being so horrible. It has been very hard for them because the grandpa work evening so he's not home during the week. I think the boy is going to start hanging out at our house a little bit after school. Derek gets home a couple hours before I do so he can send Addie next door for a little bit and trade her for T and they can hang out for a bit. I think it could work well for everyone. He's a good kid. He just doesn't have a lot of good positive male role models to be around very often. It stinks. Plus he's always surrounded by girls and babies. Poor kid.

Anyway...balloon guy. Wow!! I'm with you Andrea. I'm surprised more Wife Swap types don't end up on the news. Some of the people on there are straight up crazy. I understand about editing and all that but some of them there is no way it is edited that extreme. I remember one lady who brushed her teeth with baking soda and ate raw chicken and her kids didn't go to school. A lot of them are just kinda weird but some of them are just straight crazy. I can't deal with a lot of those shows. Too many people think the world revolves around them when we all know that the world switches between me and Chris. It is almost time for it to switch to me, right Chris??

Okay...time for some personals...

Chris - How did the meeting stuff go today?? Thanks for getting our day started with some music. That was exactly what I needed. In my head you sang just fine. As long as it stays that way in my head you're fine. Oh, I just had a plan for Cozumel for next year...do you save change? What if we saved change until next year in jugs and then we shared a room. We wouldn't be able to bring the fams but it would only be a few cents at a time. Just a though. You could put the jug next to your bed and empty pennies out of your pockets everynight. I know you don't have a lot of pennies but they add up. Anyway, I have some other thoughts going through my head. Send me a pm if you think of it. A year out isn't so hard to plan for if you plan ahead.

LindaS - Relaxed, huh? I'll bet you are. Isn't that the best feeling? I love that. Everyone else is running around in a panic and you are like...just chill dude. It is all going to be okay man. Just drink an umbrella drink, it's cool. Life is good. Can't wait to hear your stories.

LindaW - How do you not like the Wiggles. They are so fun. OKay, so they wear their clothes a little fitted but still. I like them. I think they are funny. Ethan always liked them and he saw them a couple of times. I just like that their songs are about normal everyday silly things and that they are a bunch of dads. I don't know. I just like them I guess. Yeah, PMing was fun. So, the reason I don't watch the news was because of the war in Iraq. I just know too many people over there and watching how the media portrayed it was horrible. Whether I know everyone over there or not the military is a brotherhood and the way the media was painting the picture wasn't appropriate. It wasn't like they were doing in vietnam or anything but it still wasn't right either and I just couldn't do it so I see a few things but in general I avoid it. One day that could change but for now, not so much.

Andrea. You need to be better. I'm glad you are getting better but you need to just be better already. Gosh!!! Poor Atha not being able to behave herself. Great plan making her practice behaving. Hopefully it isn't her getting sick causing her to act out and she was just having a bad day. I'll say a prayer for health for your family.

hey girlies!!

Oh MY Goodness, I am like a crazy woman!! You guys know that my normal mode is BUSY mode, but lately, I've just not taken a break. I took this "Cut the Crazy out of Christmas" class on Big Picture Scrapbooking so that I could be calm about Christmas, but it's done just the opposite. I'm stressing out about Christmas, sorta! I get into "IDEA MODE" and then think I need to do that...I need to do this...and on and on...LOL!!!

So one of the things the class (and the quilt show) inspired me to do was to make a date with my quilting friend to be accountable to finish my 7 quilt tops that I have had sitting around. I am really hoping to have time to bind them and give them as christmas gifts. It's sooooo exciting. In 2 days, I've finished quilting 3 quilts!! totally excited here!!! I'm also, Chris, gonna use your mil's book to do a couple of little art quilts for christmas gifts!! (sheep applique!! yay!!!!!!) I'll definitely BLOG about it!!

Speaking of blogging, I'm reworking my blog a little bit, adding some widgets and stuff and a splash page for my web site. I'm trying to get this all set up before my "Thanksgiving" cards go out. My mom promised to mail them for me so that they actually go out this year!! and with an earlier deadline, I'll probably make it!! yay!! Megan is coming over on Thursday to take fam pics!! WITH mr GOrgeous!! He signed out of work for an hour to do it!! I love that man!!! canNOT wait!!

So, just to make you guys sigh one more time, I have even been doing school with the kids, too!! LOL!!! the hardest part of all of this busy-ness is that my Otime is cut down!! BUT I have two BIG digi projects to do for Christmas, too, So I'll be sharing a lot of that!! for sure!! *whew*

I'm off to post my grat challenge for tomorrow, and to maybe get a bit of sleep!!
