Happy Tuesday- Day 2 of the Oscraps DSD Party!!!!!!!!!!

I felt so bad, I missed most of it, but I hear that everyone is having a lot of fun. And to everyone who left a comment on my blog-- TY!!

I had another brain scrambled day, but hopefully I can settle in and do what I have go to do.... Play in the O-Zone! I have some work I need to do first. But the O is my priority.:)
Isn't it everyone's?

I am going to try and catch up on personals for the last 2 days, but if I miss anyone, I apologize in advance. And I am pretty sure that they are gonna be all over the place, so sorry for the messiness!

Linda W-- Yay- I know -- this week is going to be rocking!!!

Sally- hope you got in a great nap. Thank you so much for your prayers. Can you explain to a non-Christian girl what "confessing is." I was raised Catholic and confessing sins doesn't seem to make sense. ;) Is it like positive affirmations that the hippy dippy tree huggers like me do?

Kat- you had me ROTF! I got a visual of you all in knots falling over onto the floor.
Poor Nick - how sad for you and him. Bet there was a very happy homecoming!
(((Hugs))) So glad you are here again- missed you tons and tons.

Linda S- *pours you some more oj, and slips a garlic pill in* JK! That would taste *awful* ick! Cait was home yesterday with a low fever and swollen glands. I made her take garlic and oj. I made some home made broccoli cheddar soup for her too from homemade chicken stock. That has got to help right? *sending a bowl to you too*

Kat- when my guys were little and Gary and I went on vacation w/o them, we left them little notes every day. So each night they got an envelope with some piece of $1 store junk that little kids love, with a letter from us saying good night. It really helped. Too much - they wanted more envelopes after we got back home. Hope it all goes well. But no worries until it happens- it might go great!

*posting so I don't lose this*

Clara- how are you feeling today? Hoping that the worse of your cold is over. *sending you some soup too* If you don't like broccoli cheddar, I made baked potato soup the night before- you can have that instead.
Hmmm, I would know nothing of silly boys/men who punch things.;)
Thankfully, no broken bones here....
LOL @ you and Derek having competition of who takes prettier x-rays.
That is crazy about the insurance- hope that you get your camera replaced asap!

Dawn- hey girl- how are you? And my Davy?? Doing good? Give her some lovin's from me.

Oh no, Sally- you can't get sick. You know moms are not allowed- is against all rules of nature LOL
Sending huge hugs, a comfy blanket and some lavender scented candles.

I should add for people who don't have/want to take garlic pills, that fresh garlic is really even better- but it is supposed to be raw. If you have to cook it, saute it lightly. My BFF's DD was really sick and I suggested she saute broccoli rabe in garlic for her, and it helped.

Dawn- ITA with Linda S!! Yay for being a Cheery-O

Now I am going to try and see what I missed from the weekend.....

I am a bit lost in the weekend thread- ahh!

Going from the bottom....

Clara- you got it babe- it might be a bit of a relief to not have the world revolve around me!
I *love* Overboard!!!
*Pee Wee Herman Voice*
But I like it when she goes buh buh buh buh buh buhhh

I voted by mail again- thank goodness. Makes life so much easier. NJ has a really rough Gov. race- personally I would have *loved* to vote for Daggett, the independent candidate, but there is no way he can win. Its too close between the other two, and one is a worse crook than the other. I help my nose and voted lesser of 2 evils. I hate that:(

Linda W- LOL at the mad face! I saw that and couldn't imagine why it was there. Similar thing happened to me on FB- I was msg-ing my friend (the ex) and an angel smilie got inserted into the post.weird ;)

Clara- that sounds like a rough day- even if you felt healthy!
I can relate to the not feeling good and having everyone leave me. When I was on bed rest w/ Caitlyn, Scott had just turned 2. My mom would come up, cook, clean, keep me company. My MIL would come, take Scott out for the day and leave me stranded!

I know I am missing stuff, but I have to get ready to drive Scott to school. This is getting really old, and this is only day 3 of 5. :(
Did I tell you that I made him pay me? $1/trip- so he gave me $10 which went right into the Coz fund. :)

Happy DSD Day 2!

Hello Sherly...very nice to have you joining us at the Daily O's.

Chris, I love that you are making Scott pay you for his transportation.

No fever for about 36 hours for Sydney but I'm going to keep her home one more day. Don't want a relapse. I sent Brian out last night to the deli at the store for chicken noodles and mashed potatoes. By the time he made it home...about a 40 minute trip, he was having chills and was sick! I told him that he needs to rest so that he can get over it. But he is getting dressed for work. Not smart...but not much that I can do about it.

Uh oh! We can't have my O-fam feeling sickly! Y'all girls get to feeling better ASAP cause we are having a party this week! Seriously, I hope you all feel better soon.

Chris-LOL about making Scott pay up! Great idea! And Davy is as loving and hyper as ever, I swear I think she must be the happiest bunny ever :) and soooo sweet! I got some cute photos of her nibbling on paper the other day...I didn't get to shoot the part where we were playing tug-of-war with it though, it was soooo cute!

LindaS-sounds like Sydney is over the hurdle, yippee! Poor Brian, I don't know if he's anything like my DH but OMGosh when mine gets sick it's like the world is ending LOL. I hope he and you feel better soon!

(((((Sally))))) I've never ever heard you 'whine' so I know you don't feel good! Get plenty of rest, I bet that's a great part of homeschooling...get to nap whenever you want to ;). haha, yesterday I noticed Cora was here at the O in the middle of the day and I thought then it must be awesome to homeschool. Like we were discussing here one day a while back about kids not being allowed to talk in the lunchroom at school, that's just nuts...and of course then the drugs and violence. You have some very lucky kids that they are able to be homeschooled :).

Clara-I have a feeling everything will work out...you'll get the camera you want and a check for more than $34 :). I feel it in my bones. I hope you are feeling better today!

Sherly-welcome to the daily-Os!!

Oh, and LOL everyone about me being a Cheery-O, I'm a cheery person by nature...just recently have been down over the lost $$ from losing my job. I still miss the $$ a lot. Tomorrow I am going to the unemployment office to find out what the heck about my benefits...I've been over a month with no $$. I have put in some applications online to different med facilities...all fulltime ugh...it's difficult applying for jobs when I'm so happy being home LOL. Anyhow, enough about me. I have to run to Wally World for cat food and dog food, yippee...I think I'll take Amanda somewhere for a cheap lunch. Then it's back to my fave place online...hmm...where's that you say?! Well, the O silly girls!! duuhhh! hahahahahaha

Love and hugs to all my fave peeps!

Good morning!! Totally stalling. I am so not a flybaby these days. No family help so I;m protesting, ya know?? Although hubby did the kitchen last night. I feel bad for him at the moments so I should be nice. He's having a rough time with some work issues. His one weekend a month has been cut and it is mostly because of his attitude and it sucks. He's going to be making some calls today to see if anything is fixable so we'll see. Things may be tight for a bit. We'll see how it works out. He was freaking out last night so I called up a friend of mine and sent him off to have a beer with her husband. He fought me on it and said he didn't need it but he came back feeling so much calmer. he just needed to head off and bs with somebody for a bit. Somebody, not me, ya know? It will all come together as long as he gets his crap together. He's just not following through with things and it is making me crazy. last week he was supposed to maske some phone calls and I reminded him several times and he kept putting it off and it now may be too late. He is just a cocky person by nature and also one of those people who thinks he can take care of everything tomorrow but sometime tomorrow is 3 moonths from now and then he doesn't understand why opportunities aren't still waiting around for him. Ugh!! Very frustrating sometimes. Hopefully new opportunities will arise and things will be good. Keeping all of these things in my prayers.

Well, enough procrastinating. I'll be back once I get to work.

hey girlies!! Thanks for all of the love today!!

I slept a LOT last night!! At least 10 hours...so i'm hoping that PLUS the garlic I'm taking will knock out whatever it is that is getting me down!!

This morning I woke up and decided to do all of my errands and stuff this morning so I could crash this afternoon and get better!! That seems to work...plus I dont' know about you, but when i lay around day after day, i feel even worse (unless I'm fevered - which i'm not! :) )!

So, Chris, "confessing" is just a process of saying that IT is a certain way!! So you would just say outloud Gary is going to prevail in his SS hearing. It the same thing as telling your children "you are the best thing since sliced bread!!" or "you are going to be the best football player out there!!" I know we don't talk religion or politics much here, but the Bible does say, "By your words you will be justified and condemned!" so what that is saying is that whatever we say, it will come to pass!!! (there is a lot more to it, but this is it in a nutshell!!) This is one of the reasons why I used so much scripture in the gratitude challenge. For me, the Bible is the living breathing Word of God...and what better thing to confess?? It worked for me this morning...I woke up feeling better!! (Garlic helps, too!! heehee!!!)

okay...I'm gonna drive Cora to geometry and i'll be back in a bit to personalize everyone else!! :)

Nina...so glad that you felt up to a post in the Daily O's. We miss our Nina coffee!

Sally, glad that you feel better today!

Dawn, can't wait to hear how things go at the unemployment office.

Clara, it sounds like things are a little rough right now. But it sounds like you are being a supportive wife!

always chatty at the O!!
Chris - Just to touch on what Sally was saying about confessing...it is basically like envisioning what you want to happen or having a positive attitude about an outcome or negative attitude about an outcome...glass half empty/half full. If you believe something is going to happen is going to happen thinking it isn't enough you have to say it and act on it as if that is the way it is going to happen kind of proving that you really and truly believe with your entire being that it is going to be that way. Not half assed...I guess if if I hope and pray I might wake up feeling better...but if I take these garlic pills and tell every body I am going to wake up healthy tomorrow and be able to sing an opera. Now granted that doesn't always happen that way but you can make things happen by treating them as if it is so. And in Christianity it is biblical as Sally said. Out of Christianity it often is mind over matter. Say as you do do as you say...kwim??

So, a few minutes until lunch time so I thought I'd throw in a few personals real quick. I'm meeting a friend for lunch for Thai food. Yummy!! Gotta love me some Thai!!

Chris - The O is off to a great start this week isn't it? I love how the O is always looking for a reason to PARTY!! That is great that you are charging Scott for his rides to and from school. Way to make him accountable. How is the extra time with him on the way to and from?? I'll take some of that Potato soup. I love potato soup. yummy.

Sherly - Welcome to the O! Perfect timing for DSD!! Make yourself at home and get to know everyone a little bit and jump on in. That's how everyone gets started. Nobody has been here forever so feel free.

LindaS - Yay for no fever. how about you? Any fever? Silly Brian. Heading off with a fever getting everyone else sick. Sometimes I think we need to just strap them down and make them take a sick day. I couldn't believe I had to force my dh to go out for a beer last night. Usually I say beer and he says where. I had to kick him out of the house. What is going on with these boys? Dorks I tell ya.

LindaP - You have a wonderful day too. Make sure to try and find at least a moment for yourself.

Nina - I had no idea that you've been unwell. I'm glad you are getting better though. Sending well wishes your way.

Dawn - I know everything is going to come together for you and your employment situation. Of course the money would be nice but I just know it will come together. Go throw a little fit at the unemployment office and hopefully it will all come together on that end. I'm sure the perfect job will fall in your lap at the right time and if dh gives you grief kick him in the knee or step on his big toe and stick your tongue out at him. Children's antics don't fix the situation but always make me feel better.

Kat - I did that with the notes while we were gone on a trip and it really helped. I also got Ethan a webkins when we went on a vacation that he knew about before we left and he couldn't get it set up online until we left so he was really excited for us to leave so that he could set it up. that really helped out. And we did dollar store candy and toys...one a day...with a note about our trip...prewritten of course (we knew our itinerary ahead of time making it easy to write out ahead of time) and Ethan got to open up one a day. he thought it was cool to get something from us each day when we weren't even there. The lady who watched him would get it from the mailbox every night. He was young enough to not understand it wasn't really real so he thought it was awesome.

Sally - you are soooooooo close to 10K. I am trying to love my dh extra. he makes it hard so i am trying extra hard. he's a hard headed twerp though. he made his phone calls this morning though, so that was good. have you ever noticed how much more defensive we get towards our spouses then towards anyone else. why is that? silly grown ups!! Oh, I sent you a PM...did you get that? Just curious. Have a fantastic day lady!!

To all others...LindaW where are you at? You're not allowed to not be in here? (hope you are having a fantastic day) have a Great day!!

Okay, it has been altogether toooo long since I have been around!! First I was sick, then I had to spend a week doing projects I should have been doing for weeks, then the kids were sick, and then my second term at school started, meanwhile, my CT duties are all but forgotten, I've barely been scrapping, I haven't been here, I feel like a hermit and AAAAAAGGGHHH!!!

Okay, deep breath.

The good news is, I am mostly over being sick. Here's some irony for you. I had some problems with a weak immune system a year or so ago, so I started a pretty vigorous vitamin regemin (SP????), which helped a lot. Recently, tho, maybe some of you remember this happening, I felt like ulcers I'd had before were coming back, so I reduced my vitamins because they seemed to be really harsh on my stomach. The ulcer feeling went away, but then I got sick again, and it was a doozy!!! So there you go. I guess I can't have it both ways.

I don't know if you remember, Chris, but I was tested for lyme once and it came back positive, so the doc wanted to do more tests, and then one came back negative so they ruled it out. But from what I have read, lyme is really hard to diagnose. But sometimes with my lousy immune system and all my seemingly munchhausenesque difficulties I wonder.

Anyway, I haven't read anything that anybody has written today, and I don't have time tonight, but I just was here checking out the specials and trying to get some inspiration to do some CT LO's, and I wanted to drop in and say hi. so, "hi!" I'll be sure to come back tomorrow and check in again.

Andrea!! We've missed you girlie!! Glad you are feeling better. Maybe you can find a way to mix those vitamins up in a shake or something to make them not so hard on your belly. Good luck getting all caught up. Hugs!!
