Really? How can it only be Tuesday? Yesterday was sooooooooo long and I don't know why. I went food shopping and thankfully got out of there much faster than normal. I was planning on going to Walmart on Wed (yuck-- hate walmart) but I figured since I had the extra time and the weather was good, I would head down there. After that I ended up going to BJ's on the way home. Have I ever complained about how much I despise shopping? I mean really, really REALLY hate it?? three stores in 3 hours. :yell: :drama:
Got home, then started up Faery-wings stuff. Then I heard that the woman who is running the fair and usually rocks it is getting the run-around from the church and there has been no advertising at all in town. There is also another craft fair at the Presbyterian church the same day and its info has been all over. Ugh- so why bother?

After that I struggled with some scrapping stuff I want to do for C-mas gifts.... ordered something online from a local shop that I have to pick up later this week..... made dinner and collapsed soon after.

I know, Chris-- cranky cranky!!

Today should hopefully be easier. Babysitting for an hour this morning and then off to clean for one client. Yes, I prefer cleaning and scrubbing over shopping any day. When I get home I need to wrap and label the wax tarts I made yesterday and figure out what else I should even bother making.

Tip on Tuesday: Its probably too late for all of you, but my tip would be to *not* read thing whiny post of mine. :pound:

Oh debbie-- so happy that you were able to get your camera back!!!! And Pie for b-fast, yum. Good for Mawmaw to have that happy memory. Nuts have protein so its actually quite good for you *wink*
Its like my thoughts on carrot cake- counts as a veggie, right?

Eva- how was DS's day? I can't get over how much he looks like you! You have the same smile :)

laurie-- slow and steady and you'll get those rooms all set soon. Great job- I saw your card- in another thread- so pretty!

Phyllis- how did your hair appt go? My eyebrows are all crooked too- i am letting them grow in and I have been asking Caitlyn to do them for me, she does an amazing job on her own. brows But has she yet? No. *pouty face* I am begging her to do them before Thursday or I am going to have no choice and do them on my own.
In case you didn't see- yes,, I can ship and I do custom orders- ask clara, she wanted me to make "Coal" Soap" and I had a blast figuring out the best way to do it.
In fact, that is my fav. part of it- the creating new recipes and scent blends.

Fran- oh man, I am not sure if that was a good start (latte and scone) or bad (being locked out). But def. a great end to the day-- that was me last Friday- had a horrible start but going to babysit my godson put is all in perspective for me. He soothes my soul. I am sure your grandson does the same.

Oh-- a soy wax tart- its like the wax tarts from Yankee Candle- that you put in the burners with a tea light underneath. Soy wax is more Eco-friendly than paraffin so that is one reason I use it instead.

Donna- YMG sounds like my kind of shopper

nana- good for you trying to contain the toys. That way you can just close the door and ignore that mess.
So sorry to hear about your neighbor. :( Good thoughts to her family and friends.

xoxo Sally love!! I love your posts and you soothe and rev up my soul too!

Kristy- hey hey!! I'll check out your gallery later on.

waving hi to Diane and Maurren and Trudy and Sandra and Trista- gotta run.... kids are running late and so am I!

lOve the O!
morning - moving slow this morning- did the important stuff- ct scrapping- now to get ready for work- dropping my car off at the shop- the brake light keeps popping on and off for no apparent reason. I told the shop guy to please find out why by noon so I can get back to pick it up, and that I don't want it to cost $$$ to fix it. We shall see.

Morning ladies, worked late last night. Made a salad, ate watched Terra Nova and passed out.....today, well tomorrow too is non-stop at work since everything has to be done for payroll.

Chris - soy tarts...lol....I was thinking it was some sort of food.....hee hee...shows you where my mind is. I hate shopping too, my husband always wonders what happened to my shopping gene.....it went out the door as I got older....I'm just not good with traffic and crowds. Hopefully you'll get the crowds checking your craft show from the spill over from the other one.

Laurie - I think you need a little slow after all that activity......enjoy the scrapping time.

Maureen - What an awesome appurtunity to check out the store...enjoy your day.

brrrr...had to fire up the wood stove this morning. it feels fa-REEEZING in here. now, with the stove going, it'll get toasty downstairs, but when i go upstairs to take my shower, it'll be about 30 degrees up there! winter. love it or leave it. WISH i could leave it.

my daughter's coming over to do laundry and go out to lunch with me. unfortunately, she's probably also going to get a mild-ish lecture on working harder finding a different job than the one she has. she's not happy. the job leads nowhere. the working conditions are difficult. but then there's the job market in the world. WHERE are the jobs for a college grad who isn't an engineering major?

no idea what i'm going to be up to today. it's one of those days where i don't care whether i accomplish something or not. i might try to figure out how to scrap a rude old email from my son, but i don't know whether i feel like thinking about it on such a gray and crappy day.

Chris, you think YOU were whining???? ;-D

have a lovely day, wherever you are. and smile in my direction. i need a little glee.

Hi ladies - hope you all had a good Monday and that Tuesday is good to.

Maureen hope your pitstop on the way home is interesting!

I worked in the basment yesterday and I found a picture I had cross stitched years ago in its frame all dusty and dirty and definitely thinking I didn't love it any more.... just the opposite - it was on the MIA list and I was very pleased to find it. Its hanging in my office now - by the door as I leave the room. I think there's another tray that I stitched in the box so that's the first thing I will find today - if I'm right .... and I oh so hope so - you might hear me scream all the way in Canada because it will be a good day!

Phyllis ....on such a crappy day - Phyllis take that crappy old email that you want to scrap - print it and then take the paper and shred it in a zillion pieces of little bits of paper .... spit on it and throw it in the trash.... then when you scrap it .... you'll remember the fun you had ripping it apart..... but do it after the daughter leaves too much family on some days is more than any one shoud have to handle!!!!

Hi everyone!
Oh Maureen I am reading the Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt! It's so cool! I heard about the shop too...I attended the webinar. How neat that you will visit the ephemera shop!

Oh Phylis I hear ya...mine too, just working at internships over a year out of college...they are progressing her career, but not enough money...so hard for young people these days.

So Debbie, did you move and that's why you are finding all this stuff? I still have some missing stuff I hope to find.

I'm with you, Fran, hate to go out and shop. The crowds and traffic at Valley Fair, eg...yuck! And I feel like these days, it's already too late if you don't have presents by Halloween. I love making things for people tho, so it will have to do.

Better get crackin...lots to do, including a hair appt today which means a few less hours to work, which is good and bad ;-)

Diane - I moved in 2005 when I got a divorce after 21 years together - I moved from 2000 sq ft plus a basement to about 750 sq feet in the upstairs apartment (I own it and its a duplex) to begin with .... the downstairs was rented ... when the downstairs guy moved out .... I went to work painting and refinishing the upstairs floors. I had a nephew and my 4 nieces off and on with me .... then I was just getting settled and then Mamaw moved in with me in Sep 2008.... its a long story but I had about 1 weeks notice for her arrival.... with 1/2 day off work the day I moved my stuff to make room for her and 1/2 day off work the day she moved in. I took almost everything to a storage locker to make room. Now everything is back in the duplex... either upstairs away from Mamaw or in the basement..... the first floor looks like a home..and has since the day Mamaw moved in... the upstairs was referred to as the warehouse and after a lot of rerranging it's starting to look like home to.

Morning ladies... yay it stopped :rain: , well for a bit a least! I can see blue sky here and there. Its my full day off and I am going to do whatever I want!! I love Tuesdays, I get the house all to myself and I don't have much cleaning to do because its all been done on the weekend. So I think that today I will spend a lot of time on the computer and try to get some layouts finished and work on my calendars. One floor to clean downstairs from the mess left behind at the Christmas party (which was so much fun) . A quick trip to get a few groceries and that will be my day.

Chris - Sorry that you are cranky this morning! A trip to Walmart would make me cranky too, I hate Walmart!!! I sure hope you get some good sales at your craft fair. I am going to check out your faerywings site today also! You sell anything to help with hot flashes?? :flame: I'm burning up here!!! LOL.

Laurie - Hope you get your car fixed without having to pay the big bucks!! Have a great day at work!

Maureen - Have a safe trip home, enjoy your time at the shop!! I will have to check out this book you are talking about, sounds interesting!!

Fran - Sounds like you work too darn hard!! I think you need a vacation!! Take care of you sweetie!!

Phylis - How nice that you get to have lunch with your daughter!! Hope you start to feel your mojo come back to you so you can get your scrap on!! Sending big smiles to you, hope it helps!!! :becky:

Debbie- Wow you are just finding pieces of treasure everyday aren't you!! I am listening for your shouts of glee, way up here in Canada!! LOL

Diane - Enjoy the hairdressers!! I love to have my hair done, wish I could have a personal hairdresser to do my hair everyday, then I wouldn't have to.

Nana Linda - What a great neighbor you are!! So sad for the family, its just devastating to lose a mother!!

Waving  hi to Sally and Jacqueline... "J" we did not get snow here in Duncan. Live in the Cowichan Valley which means Warm Land , guess it must be so!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Popping in before I go try to be productive!!

:D:-D and ::grouphug to all who need them!!

I'm childless today as my 1 and 4 year olds are at their Auntie's (DH's aunt - kinda like another Grandma but younger) to play. I guess I should get on with the exercising and cleaning since Tuesday is our cleaning day.

I hope everybody has a fantastic Tuesday and gets everything that needs to be done, done.

Yeah!! I'm home at my wonderful iMac. I hope I can do some scrapping tomorrow. When I took my portable ehd, I erased the new digi folder I had added to it, not the old one I was replacing..ugh. I only had my stuff up to this summer, pre O's and not as organized as my uptodate folder is. grrrr. I had a few other issues down at the beach, all user - ME - related, so I'll just let all that memory go...and be grateful to be home and comfy with my stuff.

Tomorrow, I'll be back to personals like a good camper. Hope everyone's day improved for those who needed some sunshine! and that if your day was already going good, that it got greater!

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!! I have been so bad about dropping in and saying hi. I have still been checking on everyone though. Right now I am just sitting around waiting for it to be midnight so that we can leave. Here at Ft. Bragg you can't sign out after work before going on leave. You have to wait until midnight. I want to get on the road. I've been ready since about 3 or 4. So, we went out for Thai food. The best Thai we've found yet. Thank you Yelp for directing us to yumminess. They had awesome Thai Tea. Ugh!! Two more hours to just sit here and get sleepy. It stinks. Fortunately Derek has slept most of today. He had an overnight duty last night so now we're just sitting here tapping our feet. I just wish I had something to do. Sitting at the computer does not help with that antsy feeling. Okay...gonna go find something to do. Hugs!!

Oh...Yes..Chris's stuff is amazing. I should probably order up some lotions. I love them. And Chris...I'll have to send you some lip gloss we made for Addie's birthday. I am so proud of us. It came out awesome and even though we added flavor...it already tasted good.

O so scrappy!
So I am the night owl and always popping in here late after everyone is done with their day. Today's recap...
Woke up to rain, rain, rain! By midday the sun made a showing and dried things up a bit. I did laundry and packed for our trip to my mom's for turkey day festivities. UGH! Would it be terrible of me to say that I just don't want to go! :( There, I said it. I don't want to go! There are family members that will be there that do not get along, and others that are there only to stir the pot. It's just not something I am looking forward to. Ok, whine session over for now. So laundry, packing, paying bills (ICK), and then a little snuggle time with 4yo DD. I passed out while we were snuggling and watching a show. :O
Picked up the boy after school and the rest of the day melted away so quickly. While the kids played outside with friends I painted in my journal a bit. Soon it was dark and time for dinner. Spent some time after bedtime ritual playing silly stuff with the kids. Watche Parenthood and listened to Storage Wars (DH show). Now the house is quiet and I am trying to catch up so I can do it all over again tomorrow.

Oops.. sorry for the novel! ;)

@Chris... whine all you like deary. No worries from me! It's good to be able to vent. Hope things work out with the fair. Sad that there is no advertising.

@Laurie... Oh no... hope they figure out your brake issue without it costing a fortune.

@Maureen... Oh I do hope you were able to find a bargain or two at the ephemera shop. What a dream this would be for me.

@Phylis... I hope you were able to enjoy a nice lunch with your daughter, even though a lecture was in order. Oh goodness... my bones are too fragile for the kind of cold you endure. I am shivering in the low 70s, which is what the temps were today.

@Debbie... congrats on your find. Don't ya love it when things work out that way? Hope you find the tray too.

@Diane... waving hello!!

@Nana... wow you had a busy day! Hope you get to slow down and catch your breath soon.

@Sandra... sounds like the perfect day for a little "me" time.

@Clara... bummer to have to wait so late or early to leave. Have a safe trip!
