helllllOOOO!!
We are finally getting semi-warm days here. It got close to 70 yesterday, and the forecast is for 73° this afternoon. The best part (and I am crossing all of my fingers and toes that it stays this way) is that the forecast for next Tuesday is sunny and ~80 °. I planned my lessons so that Stream Study was this/fifth week and Water Cycle/Clouds was the final/sixth week. I switched that up b/c I want to finish out this session doing something really fun. That's a little risky because if it ends up raining, the stream study is not going to be as much fun. If it thunders, all plans go right in the trash. But as of now, my ideas seem to be paying off.
(Sidenote: Anyone else who uses Grammarly notice that it's been twitchy? I am getting some really odd spelling/word suggestions and it wants me to put commas *everywhere.*)
I finally got to spend a few hours in the yard, clearing out the dead leaves off of the flowers. Gary trimmed back the damaged parts of the rhododendron and it looks silly and pathetic at the same time. But it means the patio will get some extra sunlight in the mornings and hopefully, all of the veggies we planted will grow well. I have soooo many new milkweed plants popping up too!
They simply needed a little extra time. Don't we all when the temps are cold? I moved two of the ones that had spread to the front of the driveway and a couple from the garden area. They get really tall-- taller than me!- so the ones by the driveway kinda got to be PITB. Plus, I still have 6 left in the front garden and the seeds from last year.
I got some sad news from my friend-- they are moving. She and her family moved in when our girls were 18 months old and we have been friends and family ever since. Her DD was the one who officiated at Caitlyn's wedding. They had been looking to move/buy a house at the same time Cait and Tom were but like them, there was nothing on the market that was affordable. Now their landlord has lost her freaking mind and is kicking them out. After 25 years. I honestly can't imagine not having them across the street. Every time I think about it, I have to stop. It's too much. If they were moving on their own schedule, at least I'd have a reason to be happy for them. This is just painful.
So I'm going to focus on my lessons and the weather today. Wishing everyone a FAB day ahead!! ♥

Needless to say, my feet were killing me and I came home and crashed!
. No wonder my back has been bothering me too. Anyway it took a long time to get over the shingles vaccine and feel like I have all my energy back now. It will soon be time to get the house ready for the kids to come home for my brother's celebration of life. That will mean a trip to Costco to stock up on items that we don't normally buy, it could be a more expensive trip than usual, but thats ok I am glad to have everyone here! Then DH and I will travel back to Ontario to stay with Heather and family and get some projects done for her while we are there. Still no set date as to when we plan to start travelling, but that's ok we are so busy just getting things done here. We really want to be somewhere warm this winter, so that will be our first vacation, most likely someplace like Mexico or Cuba because (sorry my USA friends) but we are not travelling to the States. Anyway I just wanted to pop in to say
I hope that all of you are having great weather and even better having a wonderful day what ever you do today!
