Hello and good morning! How are you all today?

I am doing pretty ok. The sun is actually out today. Yesterday was still mostly cloudy and chilly and the grass was still damp from all the rain we've had. I'm not sure if the weather was making me feel "off" or that my yard is an utter wreck or my ankle is driving me batty. But I was a little cranky/on edge yesterday. Maybe the sun will help with that today.

I have been staring at the screen here for a really long time and I have nothing to say! (That's a first! HA!)

My mom didn't come up yesterday since she wasn't feeling good so I guess she will stop in this morning. I have to catch up on laundry, finish my grocery order, then I get to work in the yard.
Yoga first. I got in three days in a row. PT stretches, too. Which is why I am most likely annoyed that my ankle is stiff and a little sore. When will that go away??? *grumbles*
I don't get it, it should be perfect by now. /s
Hehe. Faery is not known for her patience when it comes to herself. :nod1:

Wishing all of you a wonderful day!

@BoatLady I am sending you some of the sunshine we have here. It is 47° so I won't send the temps LOL
Happy to hear you have good internet. I bet that makes it a lot easier to get TV as well as computer connections.
Yesterday I noticed the guy next to us with his binoculars looking for birds. so last night we had a campfire and invited them over. I had an interesting bird chat with him. I told him about "the bird book" He spotted a rare thrush by the river we were going to go look for it today I was going to take my camera to try to get a shot of it but not with this rain. so nice to have some bird fans here.
I love this! I hope the weather cooperates so you can take your camera out again.

@tanteva I gave you an angry reaction, but that is for the ketchup. Your photo is otherwise very nice :D

@tanteva MY granddaughter would do the ketchup but I would have to have it plain with course ground pepper
Oooh, this is a tough one, I don't know if I had to choose-- ketchup or black pepper- which one I would dislike more :floorlaugh:

I honestly wasn't crazy about that name, but it's growing on me. It's actually gaining in popularity. Who knew??? His middle name Yona means bear in Cherokee. Peanut's daddy is Cherokee. I'm teasing Ava that after Peanut is born, I'm going to call him Little Bear.
I love it all! ♥
I slept in until after 8AM!!! Talk about lazy bones... :floorlaugh:
You? Lazy bones? Not a chance! But I am glad that you slept well. It feels like it is never going to get hot here. Probably a good thing ATM since none of our window ACs are in and Gary isn't in any shape to get them out of the attic. He is at the tail end of 10 days on Tindamax AKA abx from hell and is in all sorts of feeling awful.
I hope the weather and wind cooperate and you get some awesome photos of the balloons!
Just over 2 weeks to see our kids and grandchildren. :woohoo:
Yay!! I bet they are super excited to see you too!

hugs!

@faerywings You make me laugh... 3days of yoga and stretches and your ankle hurts-duh -no wonder. thanks but keep your sun you have been long overdue for some and till now we have had lots of it.
I read this article awhile ago about cleaning out gardens too early. "Many butterflies, bees and other pollinators overwinter in the dead leaves and hollowed out stems of last year's plants. If you clean your garden prematurely, you will literally be throwing away this year's butterflies, bees and other beneficial pollinators." You are our Nature Lady so do not stress about cleaning up.

Funny story about cleaning up gardens. In CT our old house had a walkway to street with circle garden in the middle. each side was lined with pachysandra plants all the way around. We had huge trees and lots of leaves that would collect in the winter. I'd get out first thing in spring to clean it all up. One year I was late only to find that the whole area had crocus in it. hundreds of them in many colors it was a gorgeous spring display.

FYI we do not watch TV in the trailer we travel 3-4 months but don't use it. We use our phones for news and keeping up with friends. Other than that it's all about camping and touring the area. East coast had internet most everywhere and good service for data but out west and mid-west not always.

Where is our @AK_Tracy I haven't seen her lately I hope she is not stuck in the mud someplace or did the moose chase her off.

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your ankle might be stiff for a year!

Good Morning
Quick in and out as I get ready to get my cobbler together and in the oven. Our church is sponsoring a tri-state preacher's meeting from 2-5 today with a light meal somewhere in between the preaching. 3 preachers in 3 hours + a meal. We shall see! ;) The preachers are from WV, VA, NC.
Rainy day here.
I'll be Mia most of the week and next as I begin prepping for my kids coming in this weekend, along with my sister coming in from FL to spend the next week with me.
Have a great couple of weeks, if I'm not on here much! I just remembered I downloaded a pre-release from Vicki R. that I need to do a couple of pages for, but other than that, not much scrapping will be happening. :waving1

We're taking a few days in Williamsburg VA just for a change of scenery and because there's good biking in the area. I had a weak moment and agreed to go to the timeshare thingy today. She told me, No, they aren't going to try to sell me anything, but I know that's a lie. I'm usually very good at not doing those so I don't know what happened. If I can sit it out for 90 minutes and not get engaged in a real discussion (because they're just trying to gather your financial data etc) I'll get a $300 credit for the next time I trade a timeshare. It better not make me mad.

We took a boat tour of the Navy base at Norfolk yesterday which was very interesting. I had no idea Hampton Roads (the body of water) was so huge. I probably should look at a map once in a while. Every time they said it cost $2 billion to build this ship, and $6 billion to build that one, and $12 billion for the aircraft carrier, I just kept thinking about what a great world we could have if we weren't all spending so much on making war. The hippie in me comes out every now and again.

The weather forecast for the next couple days is rainy, which kind of puts a damper (heh heh) on bike rides. If we decide it's not worth staying we'll go home a day or two early. There may be some indoor activities we can do, or we just take it easy here where there are no weeds to pull or floors to mop.

Good morning ladies. I've been busy creating jewelry for the markets. Whew. It's a lot of work, I'll be glad when I stockpile enough so I can get back to my own stuff. It's fun though so I don't begrudge the crazy time schedule but slowing down again will be good. My first market is coming up soon so my schedule will depend on how much I sell and need to replenish before the next one 3 wks later. No matter what tho, things will settle down by the end of the summer. I'll have a few xmas markets to do but I'll have lots of time to get ready for them.

I got out for a few bird walks this wkend and enjoyed the summer weather. This wk we have a euchre tournament on Sat and will be playing beforehand twice this week at different venues.

This afternoon I'll head out for blood work and banking stuff. No scrapping today.

@faerywings I'm sure the ankle will slowly improve with time but I know its hard, you just to get on with life.

@Terri M Enjoy the family time!

I'm off to get one more coffee before getting ready to head out. HAGD everyone.

We are headed to Lanexa Va to meet old army friends for a few days. We plan to go to Williamsburg with them if they have not been there yet, we have but would go again. Since our men were military I'm thinking they might like the Navy base and I saw your boat tour so I would love it you would share what the tour company is called so we might be able to do that same tour. Hubby and I had our boat near Groton/New London sub base so plenty of submarines .
Sadly war keeps many people in jobs.
Thank you for the help.

Wow... what a day it has been!!! Woke up around 8AM... thought I heard the cell phone chime but was busy doing 'First things in the morning things" before I looked at it. Message from grandson... "Hi, grandma... this is Joe... We are at the Rust hospital ER with Mom..." Asked if he needed me... answer was "well, I have son (5 years old today) with me"... so would be Okay if I came there. Quick shower/dressed and out the door. Thank goodness the hospital is only about a mile away. Sent Joe and son on home while I stayed with DD#3. Long story short... after several tests... and strong pain meds... around 1:30 PM the reason was a gallbladder attack. No emergency surgery for it... but it should be dealt with sooner than later. (The sooner, the better was the doctor's take on it.) As luck would have it, DD's other son just got off work and arrived at the ER just as we leaving. So he took her home and got meds for her. No coffee or breakfast for me before rushing over there. I did take water with me so I stayed hydrated. Just grabbed a bowl of cereal to tide me over until supper.

Yes, the hot air balloons were filling the sky over our neighborhood. I manage to take a few photos before dashing over to the hospital. I was going to stop at the grocery store on the way home but big black clouds were moving our way. Will wait until tomorrow morning to go.

Called DD#1 after I got home and she is going to pack up and be on her way here tomorrow. She had planned on driving here on Wednesday.. so decided to move it up a day. Joe had sent her a text earlier and I talked to her while we were waiting for the results of tests on DD#3. Also talked to my sister and she was going to come on Wednesday... but also decided to move it up to tomorrow. Be nice to have them staying here with me.

Need to check to make sure I have all my pre-release LOs done and ready to go... and warp up any challenges I want to finish.
Have a feeling I am going to crash early tonight.
