i have this very funny feeling that this summer vaca is going to fly by. I am going to have to keep reminding myself to slow down, and let myself recharge, or I am not going to be able to make it!

Good news for yesterday- Cait's finger is healing nicely- we go back in 3 weeks to make sure she won't need PT, so she is thrilled to have the splint off.

And we are off to the lake this afternoon- I am so excited for that- first time this summer. If I can even soak up some sun for a couple of hours, I think it will feel so good to me

Trudy- I hope that today 's weather is perfect for you. It sounds like your weekend was very nice. What did your Dh make for dinner?

Hello everyone. I am currently waiting for my kids to finish their shower and then I'll take them to VBS. Once I get back from dropping them off I will be off to take a nap. Whoohoo!! I stayed up too late last night and want to sleep. Then I'm taking the kids to get their hair cut. Ethan wants Justin Beiber hair but right now it is ridiculously long in back and looks awful. So time to get it trimmed just a bit. Then Addie's hair is just a little uneven so we've got to get that fixed up. Should be fun.

Once we get back it will be time to do some packing...maybe some laundry. I have piles and piles of clean laundry. I need to fold it but I don't wanna!!! At this point I am just trying to get it clean.

OH!!! I posted about this behind the scenes but let me tell you guys about it here (sorry, I'm cutting and pasting for those who may have already read it). So, today we went to the on-post housing office to see about getting on a wait list for a house. So Derek and I ran around and looked at a few neighborhoods and picked out a pretty cool neighborhood. After we filled out all the paperwork we went to the community center for that neighborhood where they also do the placements and they just gave us a house for the date that we wanted. Life is good and soooooo much less stressful. After we left I let out a HUGE sigh of relief and Derek laughed.

This place is awesome. The neighborhood has a pool, a gorgeous community center and is 5 minutes from Derek's work (and hopefully eventually my work). One of the coolest parts is the school for that area offers Pre-K so I'll be able to put Addie into school. Whoohoo!! I've been trying to get something figured out for her for August when school starts. Such a relief.

I also got a note from the housing manager yesterday. I was right. The company got fired, which means I got fired. The owner is this diva who is beyond princessified. I'll be glad to be out from under her thumb. Now get this...She wants to be present for the final walk thru. She kicks us out of her house and then wants to walk around and rub it in? She is horrible. I told the manager that I won't be able to be pleasant and so my husband will be doing it. He might be pleasant but it won't upset him either. I will get a little too feisty.

Well, I am off to take the kids to VBS!!

Chris - I hope you get a lot of relaxing lake time. And please don't overwork yourself. HUgs!!

I can't believe June is almost over already too....didnt it JUST start?!!? geez!!! summer is already flying by so fast! but then again we have been keeping SUPER busy around here....

lets see my weekened consisted of going out to the lake....twice....going to the neighbors house to bbq....sunday we watched true blood!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeee so excited for that!!!

umm yeah July is going to be hectic as all get out.....

July 3rd is my stepdaughters bday...although she isn't with us this summer boo

but we are also going to a friends house on the 3rd to celebrate 4th of July early...the 4th i have no idea what we are doing but i think we'll just stay home and watch the firework show from town from our deck or something lol apparently we can see it from here which will be cool and just relax!

then the 7th is my birthday weeeeeeeeeeeee dunno what im gonna do for the big 3-0 eeeeps

then we got Helena's birthday on the 20th I still have no idea what im doing for that either *sigh*

i also applied for a job....haven't heard back yet from them...i have not worked in 10 years! so who knows how this will go LOL

okay gotta go get dressed and get helena ready and off to school then me and the older 2 girls will probably head out to the lake again.....

Morning everyone... just a quick flyby lane: for me today, I gotta get ready for work and I am dragging my butt today. Just a short day for me but I would rather be home!! Oh well a short week too as I will have the friday off for Canada Day on the 1st. :canada: Hope everyone has a great day and wish I could go to the beach with all of you!! :wave:
