The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
GooooOd Morning my Ooooos!
How is everyone today? It rained again yesterday here. And it is pitch dark again this morning. Will NJ ever see the sun???? Cait told me that her gym teacher said that 13 out of the 15 days in June, it rained. We all have wells in our town, so that is good for the water tables, but man.... a little bit of sun/heat would be nice! LOL I just cannot get warm. It is 53* outside right now... crazy!

So have you all checked out Joanne Brisebois Designs is in the Spotlight!! ***June 15-21, 2009*** What a great concept- I loved this challenge. And it was a challenge for me, I had a really hard time putting it all together, but once I was done I was thrilled!
And the other Lo's that have been posted so far are amazing- the meaning behind them gave me chills at times.

Sandra- how did your first day go? I hope it went well and that you have a nice office to work with. and the kids? How did they get off ok? Thinking of you!

Linda W--(I guess we don't need the W anymore, Lindas S and P and been MIA :()
Awwww, how awesome for you to have your little guy all summer! I can tell how much your kids and g-kids adore you. I am the same way with my hair- one huge reason I keep it long- so easy to pull it back when it gets ratty  The roots and greys don't look so good, but Oh well! Too bad I don't live near your DD either.

Sara (and Linda) thanks for the reviews on Up. We get the 2 free movies passes from Optimum Online so I like knowing which ones are worth it for the kids. Gary and Scott went to see Drag me to Hell while Cait and I were out -- so not my kind of movie. But HP is coming out next month and that one is a *must see* for me. I wish you could be a Cheery-O for ever too ....

Sally-- I missed you!!!! So happy to hear what a great weekend you had and that you survived your week. YMG is the best!!!!! Carry that song with you always! (Gary wrote a song for me on his guitar, no lyrics before we were married and it always makes me smile when he plays it) What a great message too- yes, you are all so blessed!!!!

Sara and Sally- I am writing down all of your book recommendations- I just finished Sookie Stackhouse #1, and The Grift (really liked it) and now I am reading an older Jodie Picoult, Harvesting the Heart. Not too crazy about it, I dislike one of the characters (I think you are supposed too) but it puts a damper on it for me.

Clara- ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) my allergies get really bad at times, but nowhere near as bad as yours. I am so happy to hear that you are going to be starting shots soon. You need to feel like yourself again!
Whew- good to hear about DH beingok with reenlisting. He is sooo close, it seems like such a waste to throw allof that time away.
Wish you would move closer to NJ tho....:)

Ona- Secret Squirrel! LOL! Soooo happy that everything pulled off perfectly! And isn't that the worst part of parites that you feel so busy you don't get a chance to sit down and talk to anyone? Great idea about the BBQ!

Dawn, how is your headache today? Hope it is lots better. LOL about you and Davy- quite a pair :D
If you need any other pics of kids on beaches, shout out, I am sure I have some.

Tip on Tuesday
Oh crud- I had a really cool PS trick I figured out yesterday. Now I can't remember it! I hate when that happens.

Well, I can give you a tip about roasting garlic in the miocrowave. You can roast a head of garlic in the micro by cutting the top off, drizzle a bit of olive oil and put it in for 1 minute at a time. Don't burn it!! My MIL burned a head of garlic and it smelled so bad- I have tried to clean out her micro now two times- and we still cannot get the smell out.

Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning my friends:p Hope everyone is doing well!!

We are very cloudy and dark outside and rain on the way...but it's okay...need the cool down...it has been so HUMID!! WELL...I am blonde blonde blonde again...usually do in the summer.....and I must say that my backup hairdresser did an excellent job this time!! We talked and talked for 3 hours...it was very relaxing to be away from everything else for a while and NO CELL PHONE....left it in the car!!

Tonight is the night we go to Wrestling...YIKES!!!!! I am not sure if I should be happy or SCARED!! LOL!! NAH....it will be fun, just because Cameran will be so excited....guess you have to try different things to be well rounded....just never knew this was suppose to be on my list...LOL!!

I am going to run for now...be back this afternoon for some personals....DH took the day off and we are headed out for breakfast:p

Morning!

I have some cleaning to do before my dad and his wife come to babysit tonight for Ben, some work to do for the class I teach, and want to put together a basket for a friend whose husband passed away. It's so sad.

I've decided to create a new gift basket business. Practical gift baskets. When my mom died, we ended up with food busting out of our house. Our running joke was, "Sorry for your loss....here's a ham." (Seriously, we got four hams!) But, one group of people brought us over toilet paper, kleenexes, plastic silverware, cups, etc. And someone thought to give us stamps and note cards. Since then, I have always given stamps and a pack of nice note cards to people when someone they love passes away. Well, I went online to see if there were any baskets I could have sent to this person and everything has cookies, chocolate biscotti....junk like that. Stuff that you don't really want or need. I totally came up with ideas for gift baskets that were practical...baby ones, new house ones, sympathy ones, wedding day ones...I got ideas man. =) Anyway..just a little ramble...

Chris - Isn't the spotlight fun? I loved Joanne's story and immediately thought of the pictures of my mom and I on our wedding day. I hopefully will do one more with my dad and I too.

Linda - (Chris, I think I gave up on the W a while back too) Enjoy your day and if we don't see you, hope the wrestling was EXCITING! =)

I better go wake up Ben or he'll never sleep tonight or at nap time. Have a good day y'all!

Good morning ladies!!

I am feeling much better today although my eyes are still on fire. Hopefully after some allegra and eye drops that will go away too. I have been having the craziest dreams lately. If I didn't know better I would think I were pregnant but since that is not a possibility I guess I'm just having crazy dreams lately. Some of them are wacky and some seem so real. Dreams are such a strange thing, aren't they??

So, 4 more days until skydiving. My husband asked me yesterday if we were going skydiving, so now he knows. I can keep a secret until the end of time as long as nobody asks me directly. It is okay that he knows though. He said I did an awesome job at keeping it a secret, he just randomly thought of it before I got home from work yesterday. He is impossible to keep a secret from because he does always guess it. That gives him a few days to get pumped up about it. Now that it is so close and my brain is completely wrapped around it I am excited about it. It will be lots and lots of fun even though I am scared out of my mind.

Well, I have to finish up real quick. I have to get my house together before I go to work and I need to walk Ethan to the busstop in a couple minutes.

Chris - I wish I lived closer to NJ too. That would be so fun. The closest to NJ I thing we could live is DCish if we were stationed at Walter Reed. Who knows where we will end up. Did you see that Jodi Piccoult's book "My Sister's Keeper" is going to be a movie? That is the only one of her books I have ever read. It was a great book but really ripped my heart out. I can't deal with all that emotion when I am reading. I am trying to send you some sunshine but I can't seem to get any of it into a jar to mail off to you. That sounds like our summer last year. I hope you get some sunshine soon.

Linda - Have a blast at wrestling. I love watching my kids do stuff they love. Granted I am not going to spend zillions of dollars on things but I love watching my kids have fun and don't want to wait until they are old enough to remember it. I remember it and sometimes that is good enough for me.

Sara - That practical gift basket plan sounds awesome. If I ever need one you will be the one I call. What are you off to do tonight? Anything f un?

To everyone else that is on their way...Have a fantastic day. I want some coffee so iced mochas to go around. Hugs!!

Hi ladies- just super quick- I am supposed to be cleaning my house!
But my MIL just shared a link to Caitlyn's winning quilt; here it is! If you click it, you can see it :D

Mornin' ladies. Busy stuff here. We spent the weekend at my parents' house. Ella caught her first fish. :) I did a page and it is in the gallery. It has 4 photos! WHOA! :) Appointments and meetings yesterday. Eric is building us a fence so I hope to have my children corralled soon.

Chris - I just finished the #9 Sookie Stackhouse book, and I am already VERY impatiently waiting for #10 to be released in October. I am SO nuts about that series (shhhh don't tell - but I think I like it better than Twilight!). Gorgeous, gorgeous quilt. Cait is so talented!

Sara - really, really great idea with the gift baskets. A friend of mine puts together baskets for parents who have lost children, and it is an awesome service.

Linda - I bet your hair looks amazing. I am SO overdue for a hair appointment. Have fun at wrestling!

Clara - 4 days! WOW! I bet you will have a blast. Some friends of ours went skydiving together as one of their first dates and it is so cool to look at the pics and the video. They had an amazing time. I am jealous - it is something that a tiny piece of me wishes I was brave enough to do.

Well, I'm out. Gonna take the kids to the library. :)

Hi O's! I've been lurking the last few days because I've just been too tired to post, but last night I got 4 solid hours of sleep so today is a good day. Plus the sun is out and it isn't supposed to rain today. We spent the morning outside and now all three kids are down for a nap and I am going to join them soon :).

My little porker is such an eater that he is already 12 pounds and his one month check up. Hopefully as he gets bigger he'll be able to sleep for longer spurts.

Chris~WOW that is awesome with Cait and her quilt. Very cool.

Tali~ Fences are the BEST!!!! I don't know what I would do without our fenced in back yard.

Linda, Clara, and Sara waving hello :D

good evening! I'm finally getting home... we had to meet my sister in Richmond to drop Piper off which helps with the daycare bill this first week... she's going to be there until I go up on Friday night... we have the reunion this weekend...

My first day of work went well as did the second. I've just been training the last couple of days... LOTS of reading... I took one test yesterday and had to score an 85
% and I got 90%... on the 2 tests today regarding the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and HIPAA regulations, I made perfect scores. Tomorrow they'll set me up in the computer system, and I'll do system training... then it will be observation and stuff until I fill comfortable making calls. I'm a little nervous... consumer collections is COMPLETELY different than commercial collections... I hope I can do it!

Chris - thanks for asking about my day... I think I covered it all... and Cait's quilt is fabulous!

hi Tali, Sara, Jos, Clara, and LindaW!

alright... gotta get the kids bathed and in the bed... I'm totally wiped out! hope everyone had a great day!
