HelloooooooooooooooO!
How is everyone. It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous day here in NJ- Sunny, hot and humid! Well, the first two I love- can live w/o the 96% humidity (yes, I typed that right LOL)

Caitlyn had a friend sleep over last night. I am off to food shopping, then we are meeting my mom and going to the lake yahooo!

I wish Scott would come with us, but nope... still way too cool to come to the lake with his mom. (although I hear that several girls think he is the "awesomest guy around." )

Good morning, Dawn, what did you get at McD's? A McCafe? Anyone have them? They look really good, but I am more of a plain DD coffee girl.
Hows the satellite?

LindaW- yeah, Scott is awesome- makes me realize I am doing ok with him right? He's such a good kid, and he dose love me. (God forbid I say that too loud!)
Tip for you: When the mop screams at you- throw it outside.

Sara- oh I so totally do not envy you. I think part of the reason we did the addition, was that it was too overwhelming to think about cleaning/packing/moving!

Merkee -- wow! Your spotlight looks great!!! Good luck and have fun :)

Karen, ((((hugs))) sounds like you have way too much on your mind. I hope that things work out for everyone. My mom has had uncontrollable HBP since my brother was born. She finally found meds that helped her a couple of years ago. I will ask her what she is taking now. It has been the only med that can get her into a somewhat normal range- and she was like stroke BP levels.

Andrea- hey girl! Missing you :) How a re you feeling? Hope really great, you should be flying through that first trimester right?
I liked your FB status update

Clara-- too funny about not being able to sleep- I have to sleep with my hair in a pony/topknot or it pisses me off too much too. Is your long enough now to do that?
Hope that you slept better last night.
Good luck on your LO that sounds really tough.
My mind.... yes I did find it, slightly tattered, but it is back. It never worked righ tin the first place.

Sally- yay for Starbucks and rain for you! Cannot wait to see all of your AK lo's!

NeeNee-- I like what you are doing in the Healhy-Os! Rock on!!
Fish tacos- mmmm, I have lobster tacos on Cozumel (all of you who are going, make sure that you order them!). They sounded kinda weird, but sooo delish!
If you get a decent amount of sun, you can definitely do some herbs in pots. I usually do rosemary, basil, thyme- the basics.
I love to garden, it is therapy for me, I put my ipod on and just relax.
Thanks for the Lyme support! It isn't always easy but we'll get through it. It is sad how the Lyme is hurting our finances more than our family- and our health, in some ways :(
No news on the disability and it is making me crazy!

DawnV- ooohh, I so do not envy you- the worst part of camping is totally all of thelaundry. and *everything* gets dirty! Can't wait to see your new designs- I loooove your stuff!

Happy wednesday Ona! :)

Linda S- how fun for your chain!! *ahem* Scott has a countdown on his cell. I asked him what he was going to count down too, suggested the first day of school. Um, no way, Mom. I jokingly suggested "how about an estimate on your first ISS/" (In School Susp) "Great Idea MOM!" Ahhhh! No no no!!!! 8th grade is going to be a *good* year!

Sandra- oh poor guy- I am glad he is feeling better. And poor you- you must be exhausted! Hope you have better days up this week!

Hi Sudesh!! How are you!!??

Tip on Tues: got nothing good ATM, I'll come back if I can come up with a good one!

good morning! I'm at home today... Matthew is still having potty issues so the daycare won't take him... this is the second morning in a row he's needed a shower when he gets up and that I've had to wash the blanket and sheets on his bed *sigh* I'm really glad this job is a casual position because I've needed it! I just have to manage to get in enough hours so I don't get fired... if Gabe didn't have this project going live this week or next it wouldn't be so bad b/c he could take more of the staying home...

so... I'm just hanging out at home today... maybe Matthew and I will lay down for a nap later... :) there are advantages to being home LOL!

hi Chris... unfortunately not... we thought we were turning the corner, but it appears not quite yet... we'll see how today goes!

goodnight, Ona!

have a great day everyone!

He's a hoot!!! We have to go to Walmart today...he's gonna be even less happy with me!!! Don't really blame him...I hate Walmart too!! Good morning all! Another quickie from me....

One word of advice, if you are thinking about satellite internet don't do it. There are limits on bandwidth. I had no idea. My son can't watch his Netflix on demand and can't play his Xbox with others online now. Ugh. I have a limit of 300mb per day I can download anything above that it gets very, very slow.

Love and hugs to all! Have a great day :).

Good morning all! Looks like I'll mow again today :) We have been pretty dry for a couple weeks so hopefully the grass slows down a bit!
My second daughter, Jenna, has been planning a surprise for me for months. Well the time has come. My cousin, who I have not seen for 10 years ( since my Dad's funeral) will be coming to visit tomorrow or the next day! It will be a quick visit, he's just flying through but I'm so looking forward to it! We're planning a big brunch since that's about the time he'll be flying in. House cleaning this morning, mowing this afternoon to get ready!
Sandra - sorry your little man is still sick! Thank heavens for your flexible schedule!
LindaW - you could really be a friend and come do my bathroom floors :)
Hi Cornelia, Dawn, Ona and all else who stop through today!

Morning all. I'm trying to get my booty moving and head to work. I'm not succeeding so far. I have a headache. I'm sure it will go away when I get up and moving, but it's comfy on the couch and it's sort of overcast so it's kind of dark in the living room. =)

I think Chris merged the two threads because all I see is this posting. =) I don't think I'm too confused.

Hi Sudesh, Cornelia, & Linda S.!
Chris - ugh...96% that stinks. I hate it when it gets that way.
Sandra - Poor baby! On top of feeling bad for Matthew, I can't imagine how tired you are of the sickness too.
Ona - Hope you had a good night out. Sounds like you had fun!
Linda W. - Ben loves it when we go to Walmart. It usually means he comes home with a toy. =)
Dawn- That's good to know about the satellite! Stinky for you to find out, but good to know.
Linda P - What a fun surprise! I hope you have an awesome time!

OK...Now I really need to get going. =) Have a good day ladies!

I'm meeting my sil for lunch which is cool! I haven't hung with her in a while, so it'll be nice, even though I'll have two little girlies with me...(i'm thinking she - my sil - won't spill all her dirt with my girls along, but oh well...!)

So I'm gonna play on here until I have to take my boy to the gym in 5 mins...

love you all!! I'll check in this afternoon and give some personals!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning!!! So, still no coffee for me today...but it is easier today. I think rather than find something that will work I will just try and not drink it anymore. I hate the idea of needing something that comes out of a cup. I slept so much better last night. I used a bandana and it worked perfectly. It doesn't stay on all night but it is easy to find and put back on when it falls off. I used to pull my hair back when it was longer but it is just too short now. So, last night was fun. I was about to head home when a friend of mine called and said that some of the church staff decided they were going to have movie night in the new children's church sicne it was air conditioned. So, I went home and grabbed the kids and we watched a movie. they were going to watch "Faith like Potatoes" which I haven't seen but I wasn't sure how much the kids would like it, so we watched "Because of Winn Dixie" instead. That is my very favorite kids movie. For one Dave matthews is in it (although I didn't know that before I watched it the first time) and it is just an awesome movie. It is awesome even for grown ups. So, if you haven't seen it before, I would totally recommend it. By the time we got home the house had cooled off quite a bit and dh had fans placed around to get the upstairs cooled. This morning I tried to arrange the fans so that it cooled the downstairs. we'll see if it worked later. I just tried to set up a breeze.

I keep forgetting that everyone has different climates. Well, let me explain western Washington a little bit. As most of you know...it rains a lot. The volume isn't the highest, but it rains often. We always have beautiful summers. The really nice part usually last from July through August and sometimes into September. The heat is very moderate. The highest around 85, but usually low 80s during the nice periods. So this year, because we had a very short summer last year (I think we had 3 weeks of really nice weather) we got extra this year. It started in May and has been carrying on. It has been awesome. But now we are having heat in the 90s and we don't know what to do with ourselves. Nobody has actual AC in their houses. A few people have window or stand up units. But in general we just have to buck up and deal. It is rough. Our bodies are just not used to it. So we have a whole half of a state that is a bunch of big fat cry babies. Now Eastern Washington is desert, with really hot summers and really cold winters. Sally, as nice as the weather there in the winter and spring sounds, I don't know how you can handle the heat. That is my biggest fear of getting stationed someplace in the south. I hope if we move anywhere we go to Germany. That is the only weather I think I could handle. It is just like here. :)

Okay enough about my weather ramblings...Ethan is leaving me again on Thursday to see his grandparents. It will be his first airplane ride on his own. He'll be gone for 12 days. Oh, so the lady he went to Florida with made me crazy in so many ways...but one thing she did that was awesome was make sure he didn't get sunburnt. I told her lots and lots of times about putting sunscreen on him. Her and her ds are both pretty dark skinned (they are peruvian) and so sunscreen is still necessary but not as necessary and my lilly white little boy. So she was diligent. She said she was constantly putting sunscreen on him. So he gets back with no sunburn at all!! You would have no idea he even went to Florida. So yesterday I took him to his Taekwondo camp and they went down to the beach. One of the instructors is a teenager. he's a great kid, but he's a teenager. He was incharge of getting sunscreen on the kids and I don't know what he did but he didn't get Ethan completely covered. So he has these weird sunburn splotches all over his back. One on each shoulder and a strip across his lower back above the waistline of his pants. It is so weird looking. I don't know what it is...but if you miss a spot with sunscreen, it is like all the sun that your body is deflecting goes to that one spot. My sister one time when she was a kid got her entire body, including the part in her hair, but didn't get the back of her ears. She ended up with these huge blisters that made her ears stick out. Poor girl.

Okay...enough rambling from me. I'm going to start a new post for personals. Lova ya!!

Cornelie - We've missed you!! How has the summer been treating you?? That is exciting that you get to hang out with your sis for a week. I hope you enjoy your time with her.

LindaS - Hey!! I hope you have a great day!!

Chris - I am so not looking forward to the days where my boy can't love me in public. You seem to handle it well. I hope he doesn't really get ISS. Silly boy!

Ona - sounds like your work event is a success. I hope you are enjoying it. We'll see you in your morning.

Chris - I almost forgot...what do you mean the world revolves around EST?? Totally PST, or more precisely...ME!! Didn't you get the memo?? :)

Sandra - Poor Matthew. Get him stuffed full of bananas. That could help some. I hope you are able to get your hours worked out. That's cool you may get a nap. I love naps.

LindaW - you are so much more motivated than I am. I hate cleaning. I can straighten like no other but cleaning and I don't get along well. Ethan doesn't like Walmart either. He'll go but he always tries to make a deal and get some gum. He is too smart for me.

Dawn - I am so sad about your internet. Boohoo!! I hope there is a fix for it? I'm guessing not though. That stinks. At least you have a reliable connection though, right??

LindaP - enjoy your visit. That sounds great. It stinks that we don't get to see our family that lives farawy. I wish they all lived closer. 10 years is a long time. Have a great time catching up.

Sara - Have fun at work. I hope that headache goes away soon. I'm glad it is one you think will go away.

NeeNee - I hope the dentist goes well. I'm glad you posted that because I need to get my kids scheduled for their appointments and I had forgotten. We'll see you tomorrow.

Sally - don't you hate that when you want to hear some dirt and it just isn't a good time. Curiosity makes me crazy. I hope you guys have a good lunch.

Well, it looks like that is about it. I will chat later. Ciao ladies.

Sandra - don't you worry. Dehydration is so easy to fix...even though a little scary. They'll give him lots of fluid really quick and he won't have to worry about throwing up. IVs are the best way to get hydrated which is all they will probably do. And then he'll start feeling so much better. Prayers and big hugs!! You will both be okay.

Hello to everyone! Hope you are having a great day/night! It is SO hot here and just miserable! The kiddos are going nuts because they want to be outside! Maybe later much later! My oldest has about 20 mosquito bites...EEK! Luckily, the little one didn't get any. Other than that I am browsing the gallery and checking out Merkeley's challenge. WOW!

I am so sorry to hear that their is a sick little one. Poor baby. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Have a great day/night everyone!

Ok. I usually don't just dump...but.....

My headache didn't go away. I got to work and one of the people that I went in to help had emailed that she would be coming in. Annoying. So I decide to work on my big bulletin board in the back of my library. I'm determined to not be making it the day before school starts like I have the last five years. =) I had a "Reading is Always in Season" idea in my head. So I pull out my borders. My plan was to put one season on each side of the board. After futzing around trying to find a "summery" one, I settle on a yellow with some sort of starbursts on it. Yellow on top, grass on the bottom, leaves and snowflakes on the sides. I don't like it. It looks goofy. But I'm thinking I can deal with it. I pull out my trees that I ordered and they are too cutesy cutesy. I'm not cutesy cutesy. They bug me, but I think I can deal. Then I start to put them together because they were in two pieces, and the bottoms are bigger than the tops. It's not a ton, but I just couldn't deal. I decided to scrap the whole thing and start again from scratch. Looks like I'm making my own trees.

Then I go to start my computer. It was being a tad wonky so I restarted. I get a circle with a slash on it. FUDGE. I restart. Same thing. Restart with the tech boys. Same thing. Try to do some minor software repairs, same thing. DOUBLE FUDGE. Take it to the college I teach for that issued it to me and the tech guy (who likes me), says if it's hardware, I'm probably hosed. Apple probably won't fix it under warranty with the big dent in the top. Even though the dent happened months and months ago and it's worked fine since then. TRIPLE FUDGE. At least I had just backed up with time machine and physically backed up my files. So that's a good thing.

I realized I left one disk at school, even after having gone back for a different disk and picking up the other one. I just set it down and forgot to pick it back up. I hit a bird who just landed on the street in front of my right tire when I was going 55.

And my headache is still here.

Remember how I really didn't want to get off my couch this morning? I should have listened to myself.....

=)
