GoooooOd Morning to all of my O-Fam.

I had a long but good day yesterday. Scott's dr's appt went really well. We all just so thrilled about the progress he made in the last 6-7 months. In March he'll have been under treatment for 3 years. That's so crazy! But wow. It does a mom's heart real good to see her son "back." Its scary to look back to where he was at this time last year. He was so incredibly sick. What a difference!
His protocol is going to stay the same and we don't have to go back for 10 weeks!
Cait's better, Scott's getting there, I am having more good days than bad. Now if only Gary would see some change, even a little bit, for the better... :(

Today I have to go food shopping, and I have no idea what is going to be going on w/ the weather for tomorrow. I have heard everything from blizzard-like conditions to rain. That means SR could be either nice and quiet or a total madhouse! LOL

Tip on Tuesday: Never go to the supermarket the day before a storm without football pads on. Those little old ladies and their shopping carts can be dangerous!

Good morning Laurie- did you get everything done that you needed to?

Amy- welcome to the Daily OOos! Were you able to get your gym-time in? That is awesome that your gym has child care.

Nana Linda- Uh-oh.... more Packers people here. ;) Thanks for rooting for the Jets for us. Would have been nice to have a local team.
I am so glad that you had a great b-day weekend! You deserved it!

Kristy- last year was like that for me.... if I could get the kids out of the house w/o screaming, it was a good day.

Trudy- hope you are not in any pain today and that your appt went as smooth as possible.

Meg- hugs to you and Jeff. Hope everyone is on the mend!

ME- oh wow- thank goodness for your neighbor!

Kayleigh- a dairy cow.... yup that sounds about right. At some point inthe middle of the night when you are completely sleep deprived and it feel like you are nursing 24/7, you *are* going to want to moo. :D
Keep it going, you are doing GREAT!!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK ETHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give that big guy a hug from me, and I hope that you have a great day both of you!!!!

Gotta run- snowed a bit last night and the car is going to need cleaning....
blah!!!

xoxo

morning all - apologies for not doing so well on personals lately- I do think of you all

Chris- yea for the good news- and I got some of my procrastination done- that is a start! More tonight

Kayleigh- Chris' comment reminded me that just like a cow- you can get mastitis- happened to me with son # one- take time for you and listen to your body!

Amy- welcome to the O daily version - always lively in here!

Clara- hope school goes well for Ethan today- it will work out

nana- hope the birthday love goes on all week!

Meg - praying for a good week for you guys

Trudy- praying the splint does it's job- it is not a dynasplint is it? We had a rep show us those last week- but they were for daytime - yours is for night.

Waving and hugs to everyone i missed and those who come in after me!

"Oh hello 6 am, its been awhile. How are you?"

Bleh. Pumping again.

Be back later to let you guys know how the doctor went

ugh im here for a bit...gotta head down to the dmv today JOY JOY...NOT...anyways....yeah thats gonna be my day...i may or may not make it back sane

Good morning ladies!!

It is quite early for me. I was up at the crack of dawn...well earlier even to get Ethan ready for school. This is new for me. We all like our sleeping in. This morning went really well and Ethan was very excited. My mom went and got McDonalds while Ethan and I got ready. I think he got a good teacher. Of course her list of things were different than the 3rd grade list, which it said on the list "each teacher may have their own list also." Go figure. So more school shopping today to get the few other things he needs. It isn't a lot, but still. So much turn over in the school. 27 kids the day after winter break and then 5 more kids today. Unreal.

This town has to be 80-90% military. I think 1 out every 20 people I meet is not a military family or retired and not moving or whatever. Everyone is transient. It is just crazy. It is busy town, we have all of the things we need here but just lots and lots of turn around...but no x-ray jobs. Not that I'm looking yet. I am going to start volunteering at the military hospital in February or March though to get my skills back up so that when I do want to work I can. I'm excited about that. I went to the Red Cross last week to get the process started and met with the person in charge of the x-ray department who works with Derek somewhat...but Derek and I will have nothing to do with each other. After talking with the guy in charge I think I will go in at lunch time once a week and help cover lunches so that I will be able to get some actual shooting in. They have too many techs and I want to actually get some x-rays in so timing is everything. I don't want to show up and just stand around. So it sounds like lunch time may just be perfect. It actually amazes me that they have this monstrous post and such a small hospital, but they mostly serve just the active duty and then just a handful of dependents and send everyone else off post. So they don't have a need for a giant hospital like they do at Ft. lewis where they try and care for as many as they can on post. Such a different concept.

Well, I have a hair appointment for Addie, so I'd better get. It is at a fancy salon but the same price as anywhere else for kids. The last place I took her kinda butchered her hair and it looks horrible so I want them to get it fixed so it lays nicer. She has hair that always falls forward and into her face. Makes me crazy.

Chris - I am so glad to hear that things are improving for your family. One day you will see improvement with Gary but he just went so long without knowing what was going on that those yucky germies have a stronger hold in there so it will be a harder fight but you guys will win it. I just remember first coming in here and not hearing of any improvement and now with every appointment there is always some and if not there is always a plan. One day you will all be well. I have complete faith in that. Have fun with the football pads in the grocery store. I hate grocery shopping too. I am still willing to push you around the store in the shopping cart and we can push all those crazy old ladies over for 10 points a piece. The nice ones would be negative points of course.

Laurie - Big hugs for you. You are always forgiven for no personals!! I hope you have a great day and I am glad you were able to get some stuff done.

Kayleigh - I always would mooooo when I would pump. It would make me laugh and I wouldn't feel so ridiculous about it...especially at work. Don't you just love those early mornings? I hope you are able to get back to sleep some mornings? I couldn't function getting up that early when my kids were tiny and not go back to sleep a little bit. I'd grab them up and bring them to bed with me and we'd sleep some more after they were fed. Like Laurie said...make sure to take care of you and get plenty to eat and drink.

Alright...I'm outta here. I'll try and come back to love on everyone else who comes later.

Kristy - cross posting. DMV = vomit!!! I hate going to the dmv and am so glad we can renew our driver's license for a certain amount of time online. Good luck not ripping your hair out while waiting.

yeah i usually do it online...but since we moved..i cannot do that this year LOL boohoo....

ugh now im just sitting here waiting on an email from my hubs....he repaired my tire last night as it had a leak...and im not sure if its okay to drive on it yet?!?! UGH....not that im in a hurry to get out the door...but i just want to get this over with LMAO gotta get my lizzards some food too

Totally dying this morning. I have to drive across town to a more rural area, fog is already nasty over here. I have to be there in half an hour, and that's lucky on a good day. Oh well. I need my O Fix!

My BIL is here, he got a flat last night on the freeway and was going to change it himself... in the center divider... in the fog... and wouldn't listen to his mother. So a CHP pulled up behind him and turned on his lights so people could somewhat see them in the fog... lol... turns out he didn't have what he needed to change tires!!! Exactly what I knew would happen! So Petra got to hear the play by play from me last night, because she knows exactly where it happened and what the road conditions are like... he finally called AAA and they fixed it. So he's here. And I had no warm water for my shower. And I still have this freaking tummy bug. Jeff had three officers call in sick last night, and his Corporal should of stayed home... but their Lt had the night off. I hate getting all the bugs from Jeffs work.

Ok... off to the meeting of death....

Good morning everyone!! Well my appointment went very well!! It took a total of 10 minutes and I was out the door again. 2 hr drive for a 10 min. appt. :frusty: Oh well I have my splint and so far it is relativley painless. It is very much like a retainer, but fits on top of my bottom teeth and is built up a bit in the front to keep my teeth from touching each other and makes my tongue sit where it is supposed to. This way my jaw relaxes and teaches my brain not to clench my teeth together all the time. Seems to be working so far as I do not have the pain in my jaw from sleeping last night. I have to wear it all the time except when I eat. It will take some time to get used to, but at least it takes the pain away yay!!!! Here is what it looks like...yuk I know.

Chris - thanks for the PM... I have to get busy don't I!! So happy that Scotts appt went well and he is improving, 3yrs isn't so long, My Heather took 10 yrs and she still has issues with her balance, just so happy that there is improvement, it hurts so very much to see them sick and you are not able to fix it yourself!! You are a wonderful mom for taking such good care of your babies!! I pray that Gary starts to show improvement soon and that you finally get rid of those nasty bugs also, take care of you so you can take care of everyone else!!

Laurie - so nice that you think of all of us, and you know that we forgive you for not doing personals, we all have busy, complicated lives and it just gets in the way sometimes...we love ya!!

Kayleigh - Too funny on the Cow thing!! Hope that your Dr. appt goes well and remember to give lots of love to that precious baby for all of us!!

Kristy - I always hear nightmare stories about the DMV your system must be so much different then ours in Canada, It takes no time at all to go to our License place. Hopefull you will not have a long wait!!

Clara - I hear ya on the eary mornings... I love to sleep in also!! Hope your Ethan's teacher is a great one! Volunteering sounds like a great way to get your foot back in the door, hope it works out for you!

Nana Linda - So glad you had a great birthday, you do deserve to be spoiled more often!!

Meg - Yikes meeting of death??? Hope its not that bad, glad that you are feeling a bit better, darn bugs!!

Off to work today and hope that I can get used to wearing this splint! Hope they don't laugh at the way my lower lip sticks out. The doctor said that he was saving me 4000 dollars, because women pay that much to have that pouty look LOL! I love Dr. Donaldson, he's a real hoot!!
 have a great one everyone!!

Ooook well I'm back! =]

I did not go back to sleep Clara! I didn't have time lol. Doc went good! Except I forgot to pack a bottle in the diaper bag and they took forever so she was hungry again by the time we left...not so good. I'll never do that again!

Kaylyn weighed in at 6 pounds 3.5 ounces. I thought she would be heavier because she's eating so much but I guess not.

Laurie - Yeah my doctor told me to be really careful about that, he said to make sure to go to the hospital right away if any signs show up.

woohoo im back from the dmv and registering my van....on the card i got in the mail it said i owed 245 dollars (just to get a new sticker) well i get there and i get NEW plates....and i only paid 194!!!! wooot!!! 50 bucks in my pocket!! haha

Kayleigh - you should try a nipple guard and see if that helps her with feeding. That saved my life with my babies and latching. My kiddos just couldn't get their poor little mouths open wide enough. Something to try out. I would always carry one in a pacifier container or in a ziplock bag especially for those moments I didn't remember a bottle.
