CHEERY O
Done!!! I am done with winter, with snow and ice and with school closings! Blergh!!!
We are now in the middle of a snow and ice storm. This is so not fun! Thankfully, I didn't have anything going on today except a dr's appt for Scott that is local and in the afternoon. we should be able to get there. Gary had an appt with his Lyme dr that he has already had to cancel twice due to weather. This is just brutal. I was so cranky yesterday and today it is just worse.I'd cry but then the tears would freeze. :smow:

Its so not fair!

But yay there is good news!! Kayleigh's having her baby! So happy for her and lots of good thoughts for a very easy delivery!

Laurie!! Yay for flowers- he *is* a keeper!!!!!!

Clara-- 2 days... so nice! You must miss your big guy so much. Hope you are feeling tons better today.

Hi ME!!

To all my O-Fam-- I hope all of you have a very wonderful day!!!

Wow!! Where is everyone?? They must all be huddled in the cold. Well, I am trying to get motivated. I think I am going to take Chris's advice and write some lists and try really hard to check things off. Usually I write lists and then they go to the way side and don't get followed. But my mama and my boy are getting here tomorrow and I have stuff to do before they get here. I am so excited. I miss Ethan a ton and he is finally ready to be here. I think this trip was really good for him. It was 2 weeks long so he got a good fill of Washington but it was long enough that he got to really miss us and is ready to come home to us. He has had a lot of fun. Once he gets back it will be time to get ready for him to go to school...which reminds me I need to call the school to harass the principal about finding him a teacher. Ugh!! I do not like the principal at all. What is up with assigning a child a teacher the day they arrive. That is ridiculous.

Well, I am drinking my coffee and am motivated to get things together. So, I'd better get moving. So, let me write my list and get moving.

Chris - I am thinking warm thoughts for you. You are welcome down here anytime. It isn't warm here yet but will warm up here sooner than there.

Kayleigh - Sending prayers for a healthy delivery for you.

Good Morning everyone...I'm baaacck!! I really missed everyone, but had so much fun at Mickey's house with the kids and grandkids! Now to get the pictures downloaded and start scrapping!!! I am off work until thursday and plan to spend most of my time on my computer, its time to clear out all of the old and get started on the new, make room on my hard drive so my poor old computer can run a bit better. We had a very long trip back home and missed a connecting flight from Seattle to Vancouver, so ended up sitting in the airport for an extra 4 hours waiting for the next flight, then could not get a flight from Vancouver to Nanaimo where our truck was parked at the airport. So we had to take a bus from the airport in Vancouver to the ferry terminal, ride the ferry 2hrs then a taxi to the airport in Nanaimo. We started off getting up at 1:30 am in Orlando and got home in our bed at 12:00am here. Needless to say we spent most of yesterday taking many naps to get over the travel and the time change. Also did lots of :washing: and grocery shopping. So now I can spend time here with all of you and get back into routine. Whew!!

Clara - I bet you can't wait for your son to arrive back home!! I hope that he fits in with his new school and things go well for him! Being away from you must have been hard for him, but also was very good for him too!
Looking forward to spending more time with you Clara as we work together on the CT!!

Chris - Oh poor you and all that snow and cold!! Come and visit me here on Vancouver Island, where we have had a very mild winter, we did miss a snowfall while we were gone, but it was all melted by the day before we got back, now it is :rain: again but that's ok, we don't have to shovel rain.
I hope things warm up for you very soon! Wouldn't it be great to just be able to go visit the Aussies for the winter!! We could sit on the beach and scrap all day with our laptops LOL!!

Hello to everyone else wherever you are , and Kayleigh I am sending good thoughts your way for a speedy delivery and beautiful healthy baby!!

Morning everyone. Been away yet another week. I don't get on here much when the family is home. Man yet another snow day. I swear if it snows here, they cancel school. What is up with that? I don't really care today though cause it meant I got to sleep in! Today is DH's birthday. Stupid head is allowed to take the day off, but of course didn't. So I am making him a mini album as a gift and should really get started on that. I still haven't scrapped since before Christmas. Feels weird not to scrap for so long! Gonna clean up the house a bit and find my table once again. It has been taken over by my sewing machine now. (I finished sewing all the patches on my cub scouts vests! yay!) DH requested his favorite dinner and I figured it would be nice to eat it at the table vs in the living room. We've taken up the habit of eating in there while either watching a movie or Glee. Yes my husband is a Gleek and has now gotten all of us into it as well! Sometimes we all wonder about my husband, but it's all good!

Kayleigh: Yay! The baby is coming! Hope you have a wonderful hospital experience and get lots of great drugs (unless you are planning a natural birth then just disregard that!)

Clara: I am sorry but I think Folgers is great coffee. I could never get used to the burnt taste of Starbucks. Though the best coffee ever is Santo Domingo from the Dominican, though it has to be ordered online. Good luck with the whole teacher mess. That doesn't make any sense. Our kids are assigned their teachers at the end of the previous year. Not knowing till the day of is just bogus. I would demand that I get to meet his teacher before his first day. All the kids are given that opportunity before school starts and Ethan should be no exception. I need to start searching for a school for Brittin to go to next year. He's such a good kid. He's responsible and almost always has a great attitude in general. I am so afraid that will change if he goes to this middle school. But he keeps going back and forth about homeschooling and that would mean me giving up school myself. Though my children are worth it. I can always go back later. Plus it will give me a year to bond with him.

Chris: How did the interview go? I hate cleaning my own house so I could never do it as a living. I think my problem is I just feel I never do a good enough job and then of course not too long after you clean, it just gets dirty again. I hate that! DH says that's just because we have kids, but the 2 of us can create quite a mess as well.

Meg: Have you finally found a permanent home for your store yet? I am on here so infrequently I've missed out on a bit.

Laurie: What kind of dancing do you do? Do you take private lessons or group? I am so glad we signed up for dance lessons. We are having so much fun! The studio has open dance nights friday and saturdays. Can't wait to go on a date there. My riding instructor dances there as well so I know someone there! I am thinking about trying Zumba and maybe even belly dancing. I've always wanted to do belly dancing. I got a dvd but I think it would be better to be in a class with someone helping me. My hips just don't like to move correctly!

Hello to everyone else out there in O-land!

So I've done it. I have invited like 30 people over to my house for a surprise party for my husband. But my house isn't big enough for that many people. We shall see what happens. I have never held a surprise party for him, but see everyone loves Matt so they will probably all come. Anyone want to come help me knock down some walls?!!!!

Well, shock! I'm on here lol. Quick update : baby will probably not be born until tomorrow. They gave me the stuff to soften my cervix last night and I started to have mild contractions and then when they checked me this morning I was 1 CM dialted. So they started the pitocin and almost right away I started to have really bad contractions, however, shock, I wasn't dialting. I went from 1CM to 2CM in 5 hours. And the contractions I was having were insane, I don't know how bad normally looks but I'm pretty sure I was beyond it. So my doctor came in and basically agreed that something wasn't right but he's still a resident so he called his boss and they decided to take me off of the pitocin and to put me back on the stuff to soften my cervix. So in an hour they give me that, and then 12 hours later I go back on the pitocin. So this little angel will probably not be born until tomorrow!

It took me 3o mins to type all this. I'm drugged up. Love you ladies!

Hi!

A quick driveby! We have a ton o ice here too. School is closed so I am home with the little man! Definitely not getting much done at all.

Thinking of you, Kayleigh! Hope you aren't too uncomfortable.

Blah!! Taking a break from stuff. I called the school and of course couldn't get ahold of the principal. I know they are going to drag their feet. they don't want to help me. Above all I want to send Ethan to school his first day ready for school with the appropriate supplies, ya know? My unemployment is transitioning from state to federal so we won't have any income for a couple of weeks while it is doing that and I don't want to buy things we don't need for one. Plus I just want to talk to the freaking teacher to just talk to her, ya know. This principal is just lame. I really hope the teacher is significantly better and I hope my attitude can be let go before I speak with the teacher. I have issues with that.

I finally have a new doctor's appointment with a doctor for Ethan and with the doctor I wanted no less. The insurance issues are not yet resolved BUT this is a MUCH better doctor and I am very hopeful that the referral situation can be worked out this time. Now my little not in my chart has been erased so I can't be seen but Derek is working on that. It is such a mess but as long as I can get Ethan worked out I am okay with it. I talked to Ethan and he was happy. This doctor came from Washington which made Ethan really excited. He wants all of this taken care of as much as I do.

Today I figured out how to keep track of all my CT work and put all of my deadlines into Google calendar. I was pretty proud of myself. I have used Google calendar before but Meg reminded me of it. Today is just a get thing done kind of a day. Now I just have to keep on doing laundry and get it all put away and we're set. I'm just moving moving. Our freaking coffee pot is broken. I finally figure out how to drink coffee and the pot breaks...go figure. And of course, no money to buy a new one. But I found some of those Starbucks Via packets around. I know they are instant but for instant they are pretty good. I have some of the cold packets and mixed with milk and some creamer they are pretty yummy. Maybe my mom will get here and take pity on us and buy us a new put...here's to hoping. LOL!! I found a Black&Decker for $20 at Walmart. I really hate Walmart being my first place to shop but around here it is the only place to shop. Ugh!! In Lacey I had choices. When my mama gets here she's taking me to Costco...I can't wait. Maybe Andrea will want to come. I'll have to ask her. I need to try and find someplace besides Starbucks to go to get coffee since she's still pretty upset about my dad losing his job there..but there isn't really anyplace around here with good coffee. Washington has places with good coffee NC doesn't. There is a coffee shop down the street but it is pretty not good. It is cute shop though. I never understood the burnt coffee taste. I think it is just a bold, dark taste. I don't know...I like it. Derek always drinks Sumatra, which is one of the darkest blends so anything lighter than that tastes light I guess. Just what we are used to. A Washington thing I guess. I mean the first Starbucks was on Pike Place across from the famous Flying Fish and I grew up going there as a kid. Did you all know that Howard Schultz (The CEO of Starbucks) started as a coffee maker salesman?

Wow...it has been a long since you all a crazy rambley message from me. Holy Moly!! Alrighty Laundry and stuff to do. I love you all!!!

Trudy - I cannot wait for Ethan to come home but he had so much fun with my family. He was gone the perfect amount of time. Time enough to get his fill but long enough to want to come home. Just what he needed. I need him home now though and I am so ready to see my mama!! Can't wait to play with you on a CT!!

Katrina - That is exciting to have a surprise party. I love surprises. Both giving and getting. They are the best. Good luck.

Kayleigh - Go baby go!! If you have to get pitocin again...see about maybe getting a epidural first so that it doesn't kick your butt if you can. Just a suggestion if you are going to get one anyway. Hopefully next we hear you're a mama!!

ME - You stay safe with all that ice.

Oh Kayleigh, I hope that your little angel comes soon!

Clara, really hope that the teacher is easier to work with! And yay for everyone soon being home!

Chris, hope the snow gives you guys a much needed beak soon!

Trudy, glad to hear that you had a great trip! Sounds wonderful!

Nothing new here...too much to do, too little time! ;-) Hope things get back on track soon.

Quick check in... the last few days have been rotten for me and made me want to up and quit digiscrapping at one point. Hopefully everything is over with!!

Jeff and I had a great day off from everything today... we slept in way too late, took Riley to the pet store to pick out some new toys, went to target and managed to buy everything but what we went there for, and then I promptly passed out when we got home. My allergies/sinuses have me in a haze :( We were going up into the mountains tomorrow... but the snow isn't fresh, the temps are too high... so we're probably going to the movies and then happy hour somewhere for cheap appetizers.
