Happy tuesday.....
How many of you are all snowed in? I can't get over how much snow has been in the South. Six inches in GA? Do they have snow plows in GA???

We are going to get hit up again... 6-12", 8-14" depending on where you look. Like the almost 3 feet we have gotten in the last 2 weeks hasn't been enough. :Cry:
I just posted on FB that I am gonna need a shot in my coffee before I go to the supermarket today. I had to wait on line for 30 min's last week and all they were calling for was 4-6".

So other than that, I have to do cruddy filing and paperwork around here this afternoon. And I want to scrap- I got a new yummalicious kit from Meg for her CT- can't wait to play.

Quick personals- I want to get out shopping asap!

Laurie- did you get tot the dr? Whats the verdict? Hope you feel better. My SIL is goign through the same thing. Dr finally dx'd bronchitis, but after 3 days of abx she isn't any better.

nana- The eye dr said I could try bifocal contacts or just get a cheap pair of readers to wear. Dollar store here I come!

And Laurie- thnx for the Zenni site- I was able to get 3 pairs of glasses for $60!!! One to keep in my car, one to wear 'for real" and one just for fun :) I don't have any vision coverage at all, and even going to Walmart for glasses would have been more than that for one pair.

nana- how are you doing w/ the snow??

I need to check yesterday's Daily O's to see what is happening. We have snow today but the 5 or 6 inches that we got came slowly and no wind so don't even have a school delay here. I'm taking full credit for our wonderful winter weather...by purchasing a new snowblower, I have single handedly stopped the dreadful stuff! :-)
 
Well...got up this morning....It appears that our weather people have been way overpaid, because so far this Winter, they have missed it by mile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got a DUSTING.....There is another storm moving through today...and just got through watching the weather report...they say that it will be some ICY conditions for us...given that report...I am thinking I SHOULD expect a foot of snow!!!!!!!!!!!! BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never know how to react to the weather. BUT...LindaS....that dusting closed schools here!! It doesn't take much for us!!!

Guess I am going to have 3 kids again today.....they were all WILD yesterday!!! I am sure it will be worse today!!!

BRB....gotta go get lunch packed for DH...

Kayleigh...I am a laptop user....I got my first one about 5 years ago and never looked at that desktop again!!!! I have a Dell...DH has an HP...I have to say, I have never had these problems with ours...we love them both!!!! My computer is about a year and half and his is about a year old. My old Dell laptop, I still have it, got clogged up with junk and came to the point of barely running, but we let our children on it when they came over...MISTAKE....it probably had viruses eat it guts out!!!! We were stupid too....did not know about the heat thing and did nothing to keep it from getting hot (which is what I believe ruined it)...but....I have to say.....I am one who has to have a new computer every two or three years....because I want UPDATED stuff!!!!! I suppose that is my DAD coming out in me....he is an engineer, and he ALWAYS had to have the newest, latest technology!! Okay....went on too long about that....any news on the baby front??

Clara...YIKES...what is our little princess doing up in the middle of the night like that??? Hope you got your nap!!! It's weird hearing you say it snowed there...because NC never gets snow much....especially where you are!!! It's gets icy....but that's about it. OH...I think I have finally shaken the crud!!! YAY!! I coughed some yesterday...but I woke up and have not coughed once this morning...FINGERS CROSSED....Thanks for the well wishes...and YES...They all love to be at Nana's house....I spoil them rotten!!! and as for Cameran being sick....HAHAHA...he was so wild yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Meg.....I seriously have not had any problems with the Dell or the HP...but you make me think if I am going to see some in the near future..

Laurie....OH you poor dear!! that is alot going on with your head!!! I hope you don't have to fight it as long as I did!!!! Glad you went to the Dr and got something!!!


Chris.....Don't get knocked down at the SM!!! YIKES!!! I hate to go when they are calling for bad weather!!! I hope your Weatherman is wrong too sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LindaS....well............you should have bought that snowblower LAST YEAR!!! :rofl:
 
Ugh. So I woke up at 7:30 this morning, that's earlier then I've been up in weeks and I'm wide awake. I don't feel hyper but my head is buzzing. I feel like I have a million things to do but I don't know what they all are. Its driving me insane!

Btw today is my useless pointless due date.


Enough whining from me, I'll check in later.
 
Hey all,

We are supposed to get snow here - only about 1-3 inches, starting later this afternoon, just enough to create a messy rush hour, but not enough to close work and school. If it's going to snow, I want it to snow enough to close things. hehe. Not like last winter, but a substantial amount.

Kayleigh - will they induce you if you go until next week?

Nana Linda - hope it's not too crazy a day for you!

Me - I'm scheduled to check in to the hospital at 5pm on the 17th where they will give me the stuff to soften my cervix, then they will start the pitocin first thing in the morning of the 18th, if I don't have her on my own by the end of the day they are doing a c-sec. Apparently she is really big so they wont let me go past 1 more week.

HOWEVER, my doctor is stripping my membranes(I have a feeling I should be glad I don't know what that is...) on Thursday which he says should help me go in to labor on my own...

I had that kind of experience with my son too and ended up having the emergency c-section after being in labor for hours. He was big - 9 lbs, 4 oz.
 
Good afternoon ladies!!

Just watched The Little Princess with miss Addie. She wanted nothing to do with it though. My nap kicked my butt. I was up so late not sleeping last night. DH came downstairs and made me go to bed and I still didn't sleep and then he was up from then on. But now he is taking a nap.

They closed post today so he just had to go in and see if they had in-patients and then he came home. He helped another guy get in so that he didn't have to use a leave day and check on things and then came home. So now he is sleeping and me and Addie are watching tv. I am loving Netflix right now. Addie is now watching Veggie Tales. It is a good day.

Ethan is living it up in Washington and can you believe this is snowed in Washington too. So his plans of eating sushi today may not happen. I am jealous of all his sushi eating. I think it is funny that it snowed there too. The snow here is awful. It is yucky and icy because it rained some too. Ugh!! Grossness!!

Chris - good luck with your grocery shopping. The shopping stores here were crazy last night. Everyone is having snow panic. Yay for the glasses site. Rock on. Always good to find good deals.

LindaS - so buying a snowblower ends major snow issues? Maybe we should buy a snowblower and then wherever we are we'll never have snow. Hmmmm...

NanaLinda - Don't you just love crazy weather reports? that's how they are in Washington too. They always kinda know but when it comes to snow...it is always a maybe. Have fun with your houseful of kids.

Kayleigh - how you are feeling right now is a good sign. that anxiety of not being ready tends to come right before baby comes. I stayed up all night trying to call my mom because I was in Europe and our phone wasn't calling through. Other people do the nesting thing, I had a neighbor clean her bathroom with a toothbrush and her mom found her and made her stop. Just relax. You need your energy for baby. You are just antsy and nervous about baby. If you do need to get your membranes stripped it isn't a big deal. A simple non-graphic explanation...the doctor basically just manually stretches your cervix from 0-1 cm dialated to 2-3. Sometimes it will stay that way and continue onn or it will shrink back down and do nothing. It is a bit uncomfortable and crampy but not horrible. Everything is uncomfortable, so nothing new. Just relax lady...you have done everything you can so make yourself some hot chocolate and be chill. Whatever you do, do not do any of those crazy old wives tales to induce labor unless it is simple exercise or sounds really safe. Things like eating spicy food, walking, and sex are all safe things that people do and try. I ate spicy food the day before I had Addie. Did I mention you should lay back and relax? Take a bath, watch some chick flix, or bake yourself some cookies.

ME - sorry you didn't get enough snow. I know what you mean. Either get enough to shut things down or don't bother. Drive safe on the roads.

Alright my allergies are making me insane and my entire nose tickles and feels like it is going to fall off my face. Off to get some allegra. Ciao.
 
evening all - we got snow- meds for my sinus infect and ear infec are working- more voice today. But I so need sleep- I'm hoping for a full night tonight. DS is home- he was coming home to pick up his social security card (didn't tell me that he lost his wallet, canceled his cards and need the card to get a new drivers license) on the way home to get it he was following a tractor trailer which apparently was following a car that decided at the last minute to stop and turn into a gas station. Truck stopped quick did not hit car, son stopped, not quick enough- car hood meets rear bumper of tractor trailer- truck fine, son fine, no airbags deployed, car insurance company called and I have someone to shovel my drive tomorrow! He will ride into town with me tomorrow and use my car to run to all the places he needs to have items replaced. Kind of nice to have non pet conversation on a Tuesday night face to face!
 
I'm home from working most of today!!!! I could of posted earlier when I came home from lunch, but I was upset and Jeff and vented to Clara instead.

I got three reports done today -- the second one was amazing, I hardly had to do anything because I did a house in the same neighborhood a month ago, so I copied that report and added two more comps! Wooo easy report!!! I also got paid for today and the last month, so that was nice.

Hehehehe while I was at work... Riley decided to make a coat out of poo... she came inside and sat down next to jeff... who slowly realized something didn't smell right. So, hehehehehehe... he had to give her a SECOND bath this week. Last time she had barely rolled in cat doo, this time she had huge turds matted into her fur. SOOO GLAD I had to work today and his was his day off!!!!!!!!!! PTL!

Jeff's just came back from Panda Express with dinner, since I'm craving red meat and refuse to eat most fast food. I'm going to go change into some sweat pants and I'll be back after dinner for some personals... if I don't fall asleep!
