I am shocked at myself. It is 35* right now and that makes me *happy.* Yeah, happy, how crazy is that? It was 40* colder 5 days ago. It is utter madness.
Scott was feeling better and he and Leah ended up going on a hike yesterday afternoon. I was enjoying driving home in the sunshine.
My Drs appt was fine. I think.
Looks like I am going to need surgery on my ankle. It is a ganglion cyst and I need to get an MRI done first to get a better look at it and then a follow-up appt and discuss surgery. He seemed pretty confident that was the best/only option. For some reason, I knew that was going to be the answer before I went in, but I thought the surgery was a something super-simple, like an in-office procedure. Don't ask me why I thought that, I don't know where that came from. :noidea: But when I got home and I looked it up, depending on the size/location of the cyst, it could be anywhere from 1-6 weeks of recovery. Yikes! I won't freak out about it until I know for sure, but that was not what was expecting.
Lunch was nice. I rarely get to see my family, just the 4 of us. My brother hasn't had a chance to see what kind of waiver might even be possible to get into the alternate route courses. He needed a 3.0 GPA and his was a 2.3.
I asked him about maybe going through a more traditional route- getting a second degree rather than just the education classes. He needs to figure out exactly *what* he wants to do and then come up with the plan of how to get there. My mom is jumping ahead to next year when his package ends and what if he isn't employed.
I have to go food shopping and I *really* am not in the mood for that. But when I get home, I need to deal with the insurance company to get Prior Authorization for the MRI and make that appt and then go for bloodwork too. So the grocery store looks like it might be the highlight of my day, oh goodie!
But the great part of it is that we have another day in the 50s.
Wishing everyone a happy day today too.
