Why isn't it Wed? It sure feels like a Wed to me?
Can I just say how happy I was to clean someone else's house?????? I walked out of there, extremely pleased with myself. I was cleaning the ex-husbands workshop/furnace room. lots of cobwebs in the rafters, and dust everywhere. But I swept it all out, arranged the stuff on the shelves all evenly, and what a difference!
She also told me there if I saw anything that Gary or I needed to take it. Anything left there by the ex was free game. There was a Craftsman set of die cutters (don't ask, I have no idea!) and drill bits. Plus I took a bunch of spray paint ( I love spray paint!), some wood filler, gasket sealers, adhesives etc. I brought home two shopping bags full and Gary was like a kid on Christmas.
I got home to find boxes of old paperwork in the LR and Gary in the attic. He called SSA about the Disability Award letter but noticed that his records show that he paid nothing in for 1990. Which wasn't the case. SSA said that he needs to find either a Tax Return form or a W-2 to update it. That was before we were married and I have my old paperwork but we could find his- until 1992. We were married in 93, so that makes sense since we bought a condo in 93 and would have needed that info.We found his parents income tax forms from 1990 and 91 which I REALLY have no idea why he would have them.
Of course, now I know who held our very first mortgage if that ever comes up on a security question LOL I also realize that I save everything paperwork-related. I can toss knick knacks, pieces and parts w/o a problem, but papers, I guess you never really do know when you will need them.heh.
In the afternoon, I scrapped 3 LO's for the March challenges. One just needed shadows so really only 2.01 LOs' I really dislike them all. Mojo has flopped again.
Did I tell you that my niece and goddaughter got accepted by Rutgers and committed?? Soooooooo happy for her and *really* happy for BFF. Niece had been looking mostly at U of South Carolina, and had also been accepted into Michigan State. BFF was having a hard time thinking of her being that far away. She and her DD have a close relationship like Cait and I have. But after visiting Rutgers a couple of times, meeting people on FB, she committed over the weekend and is so happy. She has a roommate and everything already. She will be about an hour away from home, and no car, so won't be coming home "just b/c" but she is a social butterfly on steroids so she is not going to want to come home.
BFFATS is down in FL with her DD looking at Central Fl State (or something like that!). She is going into Hospitality and since that school is in Orlando, they have good connections for internships. But her first choice is U Mass and I think this trip will help her finalize her decision.
All that said, I am thrilled to not have to be doing all that! Cait had Scott trying to not bust out at the seams the other night at dinner when she said that she might like to move out in a couple of years. He knows more than she does at this point what tuition/books/car maintenance costs and he lives at home, rent free. I thought his eyes were gonna pop out of his head and across the room  LOL
Today I have to fix tech. All of it is screwed up and I need Gary to help me. Blergh!
Hope everyone has a frustration-free day (esp. me!!!)
xoxo
