CHEERY O
Good morning my O-Fam!

wheeeeeeeeeee! I am blond again! So nice to get my hair done. I love my hair girl. $100 for three hair cuts, foils and a keratin treatment for me. Its not very papmpering to be sitting in my kitchen but i think the foils alone would be way more than that if I went to a salon.

it was so "warm" yesterday- i think it was about 45*. i was able to chop a lot of ice off of my driveway. Its all frozen over by now tho. And laurie, next time, keep the wind my you- it was howling out there last night.

Not much else going on here. I have been still in a cruddy, unmotivated mood. I should be doing some Faery-Wings stuff today to get ready for the next Spring Craft Fair. But blah. I just don't wanna!

Tip on Tuesday? Anyone have a good one?

Laurie- hope you had a nice and relaxing day yesterday

Petra-- oops! You just reminded me that I never got around to paying my bills. uh-oh! Better get that on the To-Do list for today...
So exciting that you mom is coming soon!

nana Linda- that is one awesome smilie!
Ugh- it sounds like Mike's brother is not helpful at all. But I bet it was actually more productive w/o him at the meeting. Good luck with the situation.
How is your mom doing? Is the pacemaker surgery scheduled yet?
Congrats on new g-babies!

Trudy- not a problem- I'll come help clean up your yard, Any excuse for me to get outside is a good one. I think that is why oi spent so much time out there yesterday hacking away at ice.

Kayleigh- what a sweet valentine!!

xoxox

Meg- you are too funny! Hope the sleep schedules work themselves out quickly.

TTYS!!

Good morning!!!

Well.....as days can go....yesterday came and went with some good news and no hair raising/nerve wrenching activity!!! YAY!!!! The kids were very good and calm yesterday....Connor was in a great mood for a change (in over a week)...and my Mom went to the heart Dr that was going to put in the pacemaker.....after speaking with my Mom about all of her history...he decided she definately did NOT need the pacemaker. Which is what we were all wondering to begin with. It will not stop her passing out...and since the heart rate drop was a one time incident and they have yet to find WHY it actually did that.....WHY were they insisting on a pacemaker?? I know during the the TILT test her heart stopped, but from my understanding...they had to put her under the most extreme circumstances for her heart to stop, and that DR said it would have possibly caused a young person with a very healthy heart to stop. So they are going to monitor her very closely over the next few months and go from there...if she passes out again...we have to take her straight to the ER so they can put her on a monitor to see if there are any similar circumstances. WHEW........LOAD OFF THE MIND!!!! Although, we are still in the dark about the passing out.. ~sigh~

So now if someone could tell me I won the lottery...it would have been a perfect day

Well the winds about blew us away here too Chris.....it was aweful yesterday.....but it was warm!! Cooler today..no winds...but we are working our way to a weekend of SUNNY AND 72 degrees!!! YYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! :clap2: I will get my camera out and see about some NICE outdoor photos for a change!!!!! I HATE MY INDOOR PHOTOS!!!!

Chris............yay for the blonde!!!!!! I need some work!!! I am hoping my girl will call me today...well....I am calling her again anyway...I AM DESPERATE!!!!! I hear ya on the unmotivated....I am trying to do things to motivate myself to get things done on a more timely basis....right now my screen saver says RIDE THE BIKE.....my exercise motivation!!! I am thinking I might not want to see that everytime I open the laptop...so I will just go do it!! and not get on the laptop!!

Morning everyone... looks like the sun might make an appearance today, hooray!! It got pretty soggy yesterday with all the rain!! We also had the winds and so my back yard is a real mess of branches and pine cones. But can't get to it until it drys up a bit, the grass is all mushy and soaked!! Day off today and because I got called into work early yesterday and put in an 8 hr. day they also gave me Wednesday off too!! Hoping to get out for a walk today and get lots of scrapping done. MG took me for Chinese food last night, yummmm, it was great!!

Nana Linda - love your new profile pic!! Hope you get to have your hair done soon, it just makes you feel so much better!! Hooray for no pacemaker for your mother!! And I am so happy for you that you had an almost perfect day yesterday....It's about time I'd say! Oh ya BTW can you give me any good tips on using Lightroom?? I just got it and am having a hard time understanding it. I found a few sites with presets, but I think this is going to be a long learning process for me.

Chris - How great that you got to spend time outside, you are going to have arms of steel by the time this winter is over! What a great price for all of your haircuts and foil!! You are right it would have cost way more to go to a salon!! Think your girl would do a house call to my place LOL!

I am off to get a cup of coffee and then spend time on Photoshop! I have missed scrapping!!

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is doing great! I have actually got to relax and sleep the last couple days. Kaylyn has been staying up ALLLLLL day long and sleeping almost all night (except to eat lol).

Chris - Yay! I am going back to blond here in a few weeks! Going from black hair to blond hair is gonna be nuts but I'm excited! =]

Sorry you guys are feeling unmotivated, that's how I was Sunday & Monday but TODAY IS A NEW DAY! I have a GAZILLION pages to scrap!

Good morning ladies!!

So right now Addie is hanging out in the fireplace. I don't know why that is her fave place, but it is. When we had no heat Derek kept saying he was going to use the fireplace and I fought tooth and nail to keep him from it. She just sits or lies in there. It is all clean and new since the last tenants burned up the house and they replaced it. So today she has a pillow, blanket, snack and some toys. Crazy girl. Now I'm waiting for my coffee to finish and then we are going to do some clean up. Or maybe I am going to do some clean up. I need to get busy today so that I am tired tonight and go to bed at a decent hour. I have the car tomorrow. Whoohoo!! And on Thursday. Then the most exciting thing happens on Friday...Derek has a training holiday so we are going to put Addie in daycare and we are going out on a date. We're going to go see a movie and eat lunch. It will rock. I'm stoked. No kids for a day?? I just don't know what I will do with myself. This hasn't happened since we have been here. It was Derek's idea. Yay! Yay! Yay!!

So, I haven't been here in a few days so I will tell you about my weekend and stuff. Hmmmm...well, I had a church group on Saturday which is always fun to spend time with the ladies. We only meet every two weeks which has been something that people have said they would like to change so I have come up with a new plan to have a coffee meeting in the interim during the week that I am going to start in March that I am pretty excited about and I talked to the leaders about...which reminds me I need to send a message to one of the leaders about after I write this. Then I came home and napped. I love naps. Love them!! Love them!! Ethan was off with Cristian since he lives here now. I still can't get over that. We ended up going to get him and watching Inception...Holy weird movie. If you want your brain to be freaked out...it is similar to the weirdness of say Vanilla Sky. Just weird. Sunday was our Valentine's Day celebration. Derek and I decided when the kids were born that instead of doing the usual cheesy expected romance of VDay let's do stuff with the kids instead. We can't even remember our anniversaries, so why are we going to add in another day?? So, that's what we do. Even if we take the kids to see amovie, it is no big deal because the kids movies aren't usually filled. So, we found out on Thursday that the Ringling Bros. Circus was in town. And actually in Fayetteville, not all the way in Raleigh or something. We also heard that they had discounted military tickets. So, I looked all over online and couldn't find the discounted tickets so we went to the theater and bought them there and for the 4 of us it was only $52. You can't beat that. It was awesome. The acts were typically cheesy but fun and we all loved it. We had gone to circuses before where Derek and I were just disgusted by it. This was a lot of fun. And then later we were off to Cracker Barrel. Ethan has a math writing project he has to do and so we had to go to Cracker Barrel to get some pictures. It was fun. Then yesterday we had our usual Monday night hoopla of running around and I was cooking dinner for us and everything went wrong and was running late. So, I was throwing something in the oven and I set it back on the counter for a second and here is the result: Valentine's Dinner So, we went to Chick-fil-a instead. It was funny. I didn't get upset amazingly enough.

So, today is a good day. I think Addie and I will get ourselves together, clean up a bit and then go for a walk. It is getting nicer. I hope it starts warming up soon for the rest of you guys. The snow, rain and wind all need to go away. Blech!!

Chris - Yay for blond!!!! That is so fun that you got to get your hair done. I think sitting in your kitchen chit chatting can be just as fun as going to a salon. I hope you feel pretty today.

Linda - Lots of good stuff for you. Yay for the newest baby!! Whoohoo about no pacemaker. That is awesome. That is crazy about Connor's sister. Unreal. I did get a reply back from my friend. She said to avoid using the word no and to real a book called "The Explosive Child." The results are slow and sound like rubbish but really have worked with her son. Also, I hope the powwow about your MIL help. It should never have gotten this bad. If it doesn't get better then you need to have an intervention with the brat brother and just show up and railroad him and tell him what needs to happen and how it needs to be. Then change your phone number. :)

Trudy - Yay for sunshine. Enjoy your time off of work. I hope you can enjoy the sunshine during your no work time. That would be especially nice.

Kayleigh - Yay for an awesome baby sleeping schedule. Also, I was at the store the other day and I had heard a rumor that teething tablets had been taken off the shelf so I looked and it looked like they might have been. BUT...the same brand Hylands, is now making a gel instead that has all the same stuff in it. I would totally recommend that over oragel for little miss "getting her teeth too soon." I still can't get over that. So, blond in stead of black, huh? Make sure to show us how that comes out. I'll bet you look awesome as a blond, but I'll bet it is a lot of work to keep it up and to get it there. Have fun.

Alright ladies...I'm off to get motivated.

Nana Linda -- I'm going to send you some links over FB today to the heart monitor system that I used, it's a subscription service my insurance covers. Basically, it's constantly monitoring me when I wear it, and when my heart stops or races, I press the button and it records what's happening. Since it's constantly recording but dumps it's memory every few minutes, when I press the button it saves what was happening before my heart had its episode so they can also see if there was something off happening. Then when the memory is full (after like five button presses) I use a land line to call it in. I hold it up to the phone and it makes awful noises into their computer, and the computer saves it. To me, that's a much better option than trying to rush to the ER for an EKG, we never made it in time for my recording to be viable. The subscription usually is for a month, but I've had the monitor up to six months at a time bc of medication and so such. It's also tiny, like wearing an insulin pump.

Clara - I looked for them the other day in walmart and they weren't there, not even a spot for them on the shelf. So I figured we just didn't have them here but that's good to know. The only teething stuff I could find was Orajel. But I was told not to use it because she's so young so I'm going to ask my doctor tomorrow.

The stuff I saw was at Target. Also...doctors of course won't suggest it but grandma's all over the world will tell you to put whiskey on their gums. Just put some on your finger and rub it on the affected area. It really does work.
