I survived Monday, now on to Tuesday!! *throws confetti* And guess what is on the forecast for Wed??? More snow!! ahhhhh, make it stop!

I was able to get into the eye exam later yesterday. I am loving the contacts. I have to check back with the dr on Thurs and let her know how they feel. I don't know if the more you wear them they better adjusted your eyes get but as of right now, I think I need a slightly stronger Rx for the reading part of them. But was really nice being able to see far and close and not be dizzy or disoriented. I had been dropping things and whacking my head even more that usual-- I realized I had no depth perception when wearing the other ones. ooops!

Off to ShopRite this morning, limping along. Really really hurt-y today. Still. But if i get there early enough I won't have to battle the Old People and hopefully no one has run out of their toilet paper, milk, and bread from the last storm.

Did everyone see we have a new O-Designer in the house? DaniMoy! She has beautiful and richly colored designs! Yum! I had a chance to scrap with one of her kits and just wow!!!!

Tip on Tuesday:
Make sure that you check out the O-Blog frequently. The Cheery-O's really have some great info and ideas up there.

Laurie-its so funny- I cannot see a sheep ever and not think of Sally! Yes, you really are getting more fit and that is what is most important, keeping the heart healthy :)

Phyllis- I think of that all the time, how did my parents let me out of the house and not have any way to reach me? Even at college- we just had the pay phone in the hall for a while. I remember coming home from my grandparents house and we would have to ring his phone once and hang up. This was back in the day when calling to another area was expensive and my grandpa was frugal so rather than get charged a few cents to say I'm home, the one ring did it for free. My mom would wait up onthe sofa for me too, many times..... eesh. I wish I had babies again. At least when you couldn't sleep at night you knew where they were!!!!

How did the rest of the b-day go? Hope that is was wonderful like you are!!

Nana- now, why didn;t I think of adding vodka to the jello??? :D Love that Sharron calls you like that! My brother calls my parents every morning on his way to work too, which would be nice except its at 7 am. My mom likes to sleep late and can't get back to sleep after he calls.

Love the vodka spinny cake!!!

Terry- hope all os going well with the insurance and loan stuff. WHat a headache that all must be.
I tell my kids when they get all aggravated at me, that if I am going to make a parenting mistake, let it be that I am over-protective then not protective enough.
Sounds like we are all on the same page!

Nancy- do you want the snow we are going to get tomorrow, and possibly more this weekend? I'll be happy to ship it down to you:) It had better not get in the way of me working cuz I am flat out broke. :(

Oh Trudy- what an "odd" dinner party. Misery loves company eh? Hope that the food was good at least! :D

Off to get the kids to school.....
love to you all!!

Morning O fam- workout for only 30 min that makes me feel wonderful, or I wouldn't do it- DONE!! Here is a funny from last week-my husband had to go out of town, so before he packed, I put some tickets I made with my silhouette that said- love, love you, in the folds of his pants. After he left I noticed one of the tickets on the floor. He had a rough week and his original hotel reservation was not available, so he went to stay at another (much skeezier) hotel. He never mentioned finding the tickets, so finally Saturday night I asked him- did you find any love tickets- he had, and couldn't figure out how they got on the hotel floor- so he didn't mention it. I nearly bust a gut- try to add romance to an old marriage and well doesn't always work the way you planned. Phylis- hope yesterday was marvelous!

Laurie, i keep imagining your husband trying to figure out where those notes came from!! sheepishly opening the door to his room, looking out in the hall, horrified, expecting to see some sort of "fallen woman" out there, eager to solicit some biz!! ah, romance!!

Chris, we used to do the same phone-ringing thing to signal home! when you think of how you always had to worry about home much calls cost before, the way things are now seems to be one of the few improvements. it is SO nice just to pick up the phone and dial, without worrying about "long-distance" call charges.

Trudy, the dinner party sounded grim. how uncomfortable for everyone. well, i guess you can't tell someone how to grieve. they just have to find their own way. my MIL didn't do well with all that after my FIL died. she'd always say to me that she wished she was dead. how the heck do you respond to THAT? then when my dad died suddenly, she said to me: it should have been ME who died, not your dad!!! i know she was just trying express her sadness that this had happened, but i wanted to say:right. 'cause he actually WANTED to live!!! well, hope your SIL can ease into a better place as time goes by.

Nancy. the Penguins stink.

Terry, every time i hear a weather forcast for the East, i think of you, golfing in the sunshne. sigh....

i actually did have a nice BD yesterday. (aside from the 63-years-old thing. :hurt:) the best thing was 55 degrees and SUNSHINE!! DD sent me flowers, which surprised me. i guess we're making small step back toward "normal."

it's weird old Tuesday. :twitch: make whatever good you can of it!

Good morning!! I will do a very quick fly by.....I have a meeting with Social Services at 9....They make you come down and re-do all the paper work every 4 months for the little tiny bit of money I get for the kids because neither parent is paying child support...but hey...some is better than none...It's enough for 5 days worth of groceries :becky:

I told Mike to be showered and ready to go, when I get back, he is going to help me buy a month's worth of groceries....that will be gone in less than two weeks!!! No really they all eat like there is an unlimited supply....well they try anyway....I limit them as much as possible!!

Okay....see you girlies this afternoon!! Have a great day!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies.

As always I miss you guys terribly here in the Dailies but I am working in the OR today and at the moment there is quite a bit of hurry up and wait going on so I thought I'd come in for a visit. I am actually hoping to leave early today since we are going on a trip back to seattle for a long weekend. By long I mean 5-6 days. Almost a week. It will be quite the whirlwind trip for a wedding of my "pseudo" sister. (A girl I grew up with and family friend doesn't quite explain the relationship since her, her brother and dad are more family than most of my family). Her wedding will be interesting to say the least. As my sister puts it...she's trying to schedule wedding "moments." The things that should just flow and happen she's trying to force...not to mention she has the day packed so damn tight that nothing can go wrong and she's also expecting that people are planning to spend their entire day at the wedding asking people to be there an hour early for cocktails and stuff like that. So, we'll see how it all comes together. So tell me...what is up with the pre-wedding reveals? I just don't get it. I get that it cuts down on picture time during the wedding and stuff but doesn't it take away from the whole walking down the aisle thing? I don't get it. BUT..it's not my wedding so I'll show up...put my kids in their outfits and carry on. I packed for the trip last night but realized I packed way too much. I am so thankful that due to my husband being in the military we don't have to pay for baggage...so we do pack a little heavier. I'm sure if we had to pay for luggage I would be packing us in carry on bags. LOL!! WE were able to get tickets significantly cheaper flying out of Charlotte instead of Raleigh or Fayetteville but it is 3 hours away and our flight is at 6am. So, I think tonight we will drive out there, get checked in and then go to the USO, have the kids sleep on the floor and sleep in the awesome recliner chairs they have. Sometimes they even have cots and stuff. We'll see how it all comes together. I'm sure I'll be exhausted tomorrow when we get there.

So...let's see what is going on with you guys.

Chris - What do you mean you don't like the snow? I was under the impression it was your very favorite thing in the whole world. LOL!! Yes, I know, you love it as much as I do. The one thing I love about NC is that there is almost never snow. Are you wrapped up head to toe in bambbo clothing and your terrorist hat?? Have fun grocery shopping. Hopefully you don't have to knock over any of the old people in your way. HUgs!!

Laurie - that is so funny about your husband. I am also picturing him all sorts of confused. Haha!! You and your working out always inspires me...unfortunately never quite enough to actually start myself. bad Clara. One of these days I will convince myself that i love it. Hahaha!!

Phylis - I hope you had a great day. Yay for flowers. Getting flowers is always nice. I like the number 63 for some reason...not so sure how I'd feel if that were my age...but I like the number. I'm weird like that.

Linda - Have fun at DSS. Always a good time. I know what you mean about the grocery shopping. The worwst is when you buy specific things to make stuff and then you go to grab it only to find out that someone used it for something random because it sounded good and you're halfway through making whatever it is. My boys do that to me all the time.

Well, unless someone posted while I was writing I will chat with you ladies soon. Hugs to everyone!!

Morning everyone... Sorry about the  yesterday! I am in a much better mood today and ready to tackle the day! Sadly I did not get any scrapping done, my head just was not in the right place. MG and myself went for a nice long walk and cleared the cobwebs out and had a good long talk, it was nice to just be us, he has always been my best friend and we do enjoy each others company very much! (even though sometimes I would like to the throttle him!!) :becky:

Chris - Glad that the new contacts are working out for you! Hopefully you will stop being dizzy and dropping things! Good luck fighting off the old people in your drug store LOL. Now I have visions of you pushing your way through a crowd of elders trying to get your Rx filled!:boxing::becky:

Laurie - :pound: would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when your MG found his love tickets!! Keep trying to keep the romance alive my friend LOL

Phylis - You are right, everyone has to grieve in their own way, SIL has also said that she wishes she were dead too! I suppose it is hard to imagine what it is like to lose someone you love so much, I will try to be more patient with her and understanding, but like you said, what do you say to that?? Glad you had a nice birthday!! How wonderful that your daughter sent you flowers!! Baby steps my friend, baby steps!! Sending you lots of good wishes for your weird old Tuesday

Nana Linda - What a PITA that you have to reapply every 4 months, do they really think that suddenly you are going to start receiving tons of money from either parent after all this time?? Have fun grocery shopping (ughh) Now I picture all of your kiddos lined up in the kitchen with their dinner plates ready to consume all those those groceries :hungry: LOL

Well off to work for a full shift today and then hoping to get another good walk in afterward. Enjoying the mild temps these days, don't mean to rub it in, but you people out east, please keep the snow there, we don't want it!! :sorry:

Good morning! The sun is shining and the temp is above freezing. And yes Chris please I will take your snow. I want you to be able to get to your jobs! Should be a very small snow storm. Got all my laundry done and put away which is what I find the hardest to do! Got my week 5 photos scrapped. Today is a walk outside and off to another hockey game. I so love my hockey! And I got two free tickets so my son and his friend are going. I love creating new Devils hockey fans. I know that once you see a game in person you get hooked!

Phylis so glad you had a wonderful birthday - how sweet he sent you flowers. The Penguins do not stink my Devils just frustrated them and when you frustrate them they take penalties and get off their game.

Nana Linda good luck with social services!

Have a great day!

just passing through. Still taking care of insurance stuff! But, finally have it all finished and son is on his own insurance--saving me $1600 a year!!! Woo hoo! The funny thing--his insurance on his own is $1750 a year.

Still dealing with the insurance company to get the $$ for the totaled car.

Heading out to go to the city to see the doctor. Nothing wrong--just want to get checked out by the cardiologist and baseline studies and labs done. Now that I'm getting old I figure I better get the ole ticker checked out. Heart disease runs in the family.

Today is Fat Tuesday. Any of you going to church tonight for pancake supper?
