Yesterday I was shocked that it was Monday. Today I am more confused that it is already Tuesday. Who wants to guess how I will feel tomorrow morning? Probably nothing calming. LOL!
Wow, yesterday was non-stop for me, and I didn't even leave the house other than briefly going outside with the dogs. I found the soft, lined belly sling for Jaida in the attic by sheer luck, no less. It was hanging on a clothing rack, and I caught it from the corner of my eye. Gary and I were both saying how we had no idea where we would have put it 2 years ago. The Kong Donut we use instead of a cone is always closer to hand.
My poor girl is *very* confused that she isn't getting breakfast. She has a "toy" bowl that she carries around and throws at us when she wants to eat. She'll use that to get our attention. Today's appointment is just the X-rays and isn't until 11.45, which means she has a long morning ahead of her.
I spent much of the morning on my field trip prep and Scott brought over his beaver educational supplies. He built the coolest diorama of a lodge/dam/ecosystem for his beaver programs. He was showing me all of the details, down to the fact that they don't eat the wood of a tree-- instead, he glued tiny wood chips at the base of the felled trees. One of the dead "trees" has woodpecker holes to show how their habitat helps other animals. I am really excited to share this with the kids. He also has a chunk of wood that was taken from a tree and the kids can look at the teeth marks, plus he has a real beaver skull, so they can line up the teeth with the markings.
I hope that kids are as stoked about this as I am and that it all goes wonderfully.
No scrapping at all for me. This happens every year for the 12 Days Parties. I end up so far behind. I have to remind myself that the challenges are open all month, so I have time.......possibly..... to finish them at some point.

HAGD!!

if *I* can do it, so can you!!

this event! There will be hundreds of people in a concert hall, and we sit in sections (soprano-alto-tenor-bass) with our Messiah books, and sing our hearts out. The music department provides students for the solos, and anyone who plays an instrument can come to play in the orchestra. The director is personable and fun, and keeps it light, but serious enough to make it worthwhile to sing along.
Of course, it could be because I have been reading good books lately and hate to put them down until I 1) finish reading it.. or 2) fall asleep and drop the book!!! I did finish the one I was reading... So glad as I am taking all the library books back and picking up an on-hold book. (psss - don't tell
)
Moooooooooooorrrnnnniiinnnnggggg
) is behind??? that means there is no hope for all of us.
