Daily Ooos: Tuesday, December 9

faerywings

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Yesterday I was shocked that it was Monday. Today I am more confused that it is already Tuesday. Who wants to guess how I will feel tomorrow morning? Probably nothing calming. LOL!

Wow, yesterday was non-stop for me, and I didn't even leave the house other than briefly going outside with the dogs. I found the soft, lined belly sling for Jaida in the attic by sheer luck, no less. It was hanging on a clothing rack, and I caught it from the corner of my eye. Gary and I were both saying how we had no idea where we would have put it 2 years ago. The Kong Donut we use instead of a cone is always closer to hand. ;)
My poor girl is *very* confused that she isn't getting breakfast. She has a "toy" bowl that she carries around and throws at us when she wants to eat. She'll use that to get our attention. Today's appointment is just the X-rays and isn't until 11.45, which means she has a long morning ahead of her.

I spent much of the morning on my field trip prep and Scott brought over his beaver educational supplies. He built the coolest diorama of a lodge/dam/ecosystem for his beaver programs. He was showing me all of the details, down to the fact that they don't eat the wood of a tree-- instead, he glued tiny wood chips at the base of the felled trees. One of the dead "trees" has woodpecker holes to show how their habitat helps other animals. I am really excited to share this with the kids. He also has a chunk of wood that was taken from a tree and the kids can look at the teeth marks, plus he has a real beaver skull, so they can line up the teeth with the markings.

I hope that kids are as stoked about this as I am and that it all goes wonderfully. :praying2:

No scrapping at all for me. This happens every year for the 12 Days Parties. I end up so far behind. I have to remind myself that the challenges are open all month, so I have time.......possibly..... to finish them at some point.

Today's links for ya!

DAY 9 - WINTER FUN DOWNLOAD

DAY 9 - Use ONE of these photos | CHALLENGE

The photos in the challenge are all so gorgeous!

HAGD!!

I am making time to do personals-- they might be shorter than usual but I will get them done.

I can not believe it! I have done all challenges and played all games so far in the event! I will work a full day on Wednesday though, but it will hopefully be a quick catch up on Thursday.
I am so happy for you-- you had said that you were in a bad scrap drought. Fab news that you are out if it!
a new freezer and a new computer!
Congrats!!! As long as you don't find any body parts in the old freezer, you are good to go :lol23:
Finished my devotional for tomorrow but we are having a mix of rain and snow today so the meeting may be postponed.
I hope the weather cooperates!

ortunately Friday's snow was melted by midday Saturday. However, it's snowing again today and they are saying to expect another 2-3". I have a meeting this afternoon that I'm hoping will be moved over to Zoom. That's one of the best lessons of the pandemic -- now we all know how to do Zoom or Teams or something.
How much snow did you get? It is brutally cold here too. 8* right now. Way colder than usual.
Hope that the meeting went virtual.
I'm planning on making chicken enchiladas for dinner, but I don't have the Swiss cheese I usually use. I think regular "Mexican blend" won't kill us because I don't feel like driving to the grocery.
Hahahaha! This cracked me up because I make those kinds of substitutions all the time, and it makes Gary crazy. If the recipe calls for XYZ, then that is only what he will use.
Glad that you had a nice time watching Die Hard on your own. That is how my family feels about It's a Wonderful Life. They hate it and I love it so I watch when I wrap presents.

The moose were in the corner of our house trying to get out of the wind. We have an L shaped house and they were in the inside corner. Up close and personal.
Once I biked on the bike trail around Anchorage and everyone had to stop because there was a moose just hanging there. They look cute on TV but holy smoke, they're huge in real life! I hope they don't come so close in the summer when you're enjoying your deck.
This entire exchange had my :jawdrop2:

Hubs loves weather type apps and he's watching this horror and says that its sending all our winter weather south to you all in the lower 48!!!!! Sorry girls, youre getting my weather. Send it back please and send this wind back out into the nether.
i would, I am trying, this weather is terrible!!!! I am getting notifications that "Temps break another Record" almost every day!
Best decision ever! God job Chris! Faery can learn new tricks!!!
:coffeedrinker:
It was tough and I felt a little guilty but yes! I did it! :wehaveawinner:

pick up Darrell hopefully on thursday to come home, fingers crossed that doesn't change b/c my grammas party is friday and our party is saturday so coming home thursday is the best day. He explained our plans to the respirologist at the hospital a few days ago and she agreed that coming home a few days early shouldn't be a problem but a new respirologist has taken over the ward now so hopefully he doesn't mess up our plans.
Every last finger and toe is crossed that D is home on Thursday!!
Good afternoon. How did it get to be Monday? How did it get to be afternoon? Ugh...guess that happens every December so no surprise there. Had a doctor's appointment first thing this morning. I'm doing prep for tomorrow's colonoscopy so my COWS
Did you read my first sentence today?? I so relate!!!
Good luck with the colonoscopy xo
I had to read that at least a couple of times...no stress for the faerywings...doesn't really seem possible. You must be re-wiring your brain like I am (trying to do). Good job by you!
:floorlaugh: if *I* can do it, so can you!! :cheer:

Ok, my lovely ladies, time to get in the shower and get this long and hopefully not too stressful day started
