Dang!!! I think Nana and I and everyone in between on the East Coast is going to turn into ice cubes today!
last night I slept in sweat, a thermal shirt, a sweatshirt, 2 pairs of socks and I was s till cold. Gary really needs to tget the AC out of the window in our room! *whines* I have to go food shopping this morning Wah!!!!
I don't want to leave my house!

I didn't have a very successful trip to Walmart. The tripp should have taken me 20-25 mins to get there. Right before I take the ramp to the highway, the road was closed- i was 5 minutes away. I had to detour all around, get on the highway in the opposite direction, take a U Turn with every other person who had to detour with me. It took me almost an hour and a half to get there! Then I wandered through the store, found a few things i needed, picked up something Scott asked me to get for Gary- only to get it home and Scott tells me it is missing a piece. Gah! i don't want to have to go baaaaaack!

Then I tried to wrap some presents only to find out the the kids used up almost all of the scotch tape.
I am steam cleaning a spot of cat pee, the dog barks, then proceeds to pee right next too me.

hahahahahah! Easier said then done Dude!!!! Maybe if you helped a bit more around the house, I would have that hour to relax :rofl:

Tee hee, enough of my complaining
its all good- I was able to get some gifts wrapped, made another batch of cookies and ate up all of the crumbs left on the bottom of the pan (yummy) and ....yeah.... thats it...

Laurie- Do they sand/salt if you get any snow? My town is huge- largest sq. mile Twp in NJ. They will sand the main roads, but not the side roads, which there are millions of- all winding and hilly. Its always an adventure to get out of my driveway and off
my street LOL

Good news about your FIL- hoping that each day brings him better health.

Nana-- how sad and scary for that girl and her family.
*lecture time* If you want to get better, you need to eat! You have to take meds with food (unless specifically prescribed on an empty stomach). If you are on abx- make sure you take acidiophilous or some probiotic too. Good to hear you are better- but keep it going in the right direction, Stay warm!

ME- hope you got lots done yesterday!

Trudy- did you get pics of the Christmas party? sounds simply stunning! I am going to try and post a few more recipes for you today.

Sally- I don't even want to know what Ctrl-Q does!!! (I am tempted to try it, but I don't want to lose my posts either LOL!!
I want to see Tangled! I have been hearing great things about it. we haven't been to a movie in 2 years i think. i want to see HP- but it hasn't happened yet.

We were able to figure out what to do about the guitar. FIL bought a new one, rather than the used- it is going to be a combined gift to Scott and Gary, from the IL's and us. It is a double neck guitar and I am sure my 2 boys are going to love it.

morning- another ice cube here 9 degrees, not sure about the windchill. Oh well- need to shower and dry my hair or I will have it freeze to my head on my way to work.
chris- I have not yet bought presents for my boys- only stocking stuffers- so i best get moving- I tried to involve my husband this weekend, but he was not helpful at all. Guess I will have to actually go shopping soon!

morning y'all! I am definitely feeling better. I'm not 100% yet, but getting there. I've had walking pneumonia for several weeks now. I had it mid-Nov and went to the Dr then. I was on augmentin then and got to feeling a bit better, but then it seemed I was just stuck at 75%. I kept thinking my body just needs time to recuperate, but over the weekend I went downhill again so went back to the Dr. So, it's still the walking pneumonia and he's put me on a different antibiotic and i gotta say, the change from yesterday to today is seriously noticeable! Thanks for the well wishes, y'all! I knew I would get cyber get well hugs and it did make me feel better

Kristy - yikes on the wisdom teeth! it's been more years than I care to remember since I had mine done! hope you feel better soon!

Brrrr ... it is cold here too, 20 degrees, but feels more like 9 with the wind. We had a dusting of snow here too. Yuck. Did manage to make it to Michaels last night, and get a few things checked off my list. Yay!!

Wow and we think it is cold here at 50 degrees! I would not mind it getting colder, if only we could have some snow. I am like a kid when it comes to snow.

Gotta get our Christmas cards out today as well as a package for my mother. Also working on wrapping up some end of the year projects with my day care kids. Looking forward to having the next two weeks off and being able to spend quality time with my own children. (I only provide care for teacher's children. So when they have off, so do I.)

I changed the theme and format of my blog yesterday. I did now realize it had been so long since I even posted.

Laurie, bummer on the shopping trip. I went out on Sunday and spent the first half running from discount store to discount store and still not finding anything the kids wanted that was in our price range. Then I hit the mall and Kohls and found some great stuff, who would have thought? Still have to get stocking stuffers, stuff for hubby and oldest son, but after that I am done.

Morning to all of my chilly friends... Sounds like winter has sure made its apperance at your neck of the woods!! Dusting of snow on the mountain tops here but still nice and mild for the West Coast today, who knows what tomorrow will bring?? I have to finish my christmas letter today, but finally finished everyones Calendars "Horray"!! :biggrin:

Chris - I would have had a fit if it took me that long to get to Walmart!! Thanks again for all the recipes, I will enjoy them so very much!! My tummy thanks you!! You would think that I would have lost more weight than a lousy 5lbs. but so far that's all I have lost, I could stand to lose another 20 at least, but this menopausal time of my life and my stupid thyroid are not helping me out at all. Oh well I guess this is the way I am and there's not much I can do about it. I am sorry, but I have to agree with Vicki on the Dog ound: tooo funny!!

Nana Linda - Keep warm my sister!! I hate it when its that cold, hope you don't have to leave the house today, hope you are feeling a bit better today and keep wrapped up in a blanket and warm slippers, I will send some warm vibes your way and pray that winter lossens its frosty grip on where you are!

Vicki - :hug: I sure hope that you are on the mend!! That is way to long to be feeling down in the dumps!! Get better please! Thanks for your recipe!! I watched the video it looks delicious and Pastor Tom seems like quite the character!

evening all - still cold here! Well my shopping procrastination may have paid off- youngest son txt me and said- if you haven't finished shopping for me- I would love help buying a new computer- it is tops on my list- seems to me his brother made it through 3 years on the first one and then needed it replaced- 0oh yeah - that was cause the dog peed on the keyboard and fried it! I need to make a birthday card tonight and start to sew some curtains!

Vicki- glad you are feeling better- my walking pneumonia drug of choice- started with an L man kicked it right out of me 2 years ago- keep feeling better!
