I am not going to be scrapping today, it is the last day forecasted for the nice weather. Tomorrow we get clouder and cold again.
Today I am off to Shop Rite then my BFF's to sit out on her deck and catch some rays!

Sandra- bet your iris are going great! Mine are about ready to bloom- I'd say maybe by the weekend. I thinned and moved a ton og them last year, so they should really look pretty when they go. Its so exciting! hope you were able to relax and watch your soap

Sally- hope you had some time to rest in there! How did the recording go???

Tali- sounds like you had so much fun! You're braver than I am- my bones are too brittle to even think of skating hahaha! I'd be the "I've fallen and I can't get up faery."

Cora, I didn't notice all over fb.... are you excited about something? What could that be? Glad you are having fun! MIL has an iPhone and my guys think it rules (they also want one- NOT!) LOL

Dawn-- good for you!! I hope that even just renewing contacts will help you out. And i feel your dh-pain.....

Clara- Woo hoo! So good to get validation from someone who knows you IRL! I seriouslythink you'd be so great at it. Does the school/training center give scholarships or grants to offset the costs?

ME- Cait siad the same thing- she didn't want to got to school yesterday b/c she said it felt like summer. How are you feeling physically- don't push yourself and get a relapse!

Add me into the no-pullups pile. I guess it depends on the particular child, but mine two went much faster than some of my friend's kids who used pull ups.

Krisitin-- sound sliek you were busy and having fun!! Black Bamboo! How cool is that- I hear bamboo is really awesome "hedge" plant.

Joslyn-- keep on walking!!!!!

Morning all! I am running soooooooooo late this morning, haven't even gotten my clothes for the day ironed, LOL and I need to leave in like 10 min...did I mention that Davy chewed through my cell phone charger AND the satellite cable in my room?! LOL I looooove the little guy....but sheesh! Everytime I catch him doing a big N-O he stops dead in his tracks with the object still firmly locked in his jaws and looks up at me with this big uh-oh look on his face. It is adorable and sooo hard to get upset with him.

I'll be back after work, after a really GOOD day at work, for personals!

Vicki - Congrats!!!! And - what book is it?? Must know! I just finished a really good one written from the view of a woman diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's. It is called "Still Alice." One of the better books I've read in awhile (since I finished the Twilight series, lol!!)

Chris - send some of that weather our way! Our track and field night was so cold. Not even 50 degrees. Ugh.

Dawn - crazy bunny!!! You need to get some bitter apple spray.

On the pull-up issue, I know a lot of people don't like them - but - they worked for Ella. She was day-trained at 2 years and good to go through the night by 2 1/2.

Not much going on today other than Ella's dance class tonight. I wish it were nicer outside. I'd like to take the kids on a walk. But, it is only going to be 50 again.

I just realized I forgot to swing by the Ooos... got busy with getting breakfast for the kids, making beds, dressing the kids, and taking a shower LOL... I just finished breakfast myself thought I'd pop in and say hi!

Chris - I've got a gazillion blooms... I need to thin some of mine out and re-organize, but I think that will have to wait until the fall...

Remember me? I'm barely keeping my head above water. State convention last week, now annual awards banquet, blood drive and washington dc trip all next week.
Our convention went really well, my kids did awesome! yay! Glad it's over and behind us now.
I'm frantically working on my requisitions - all the stuff that needs to be ordered for next school year. Just found out I'm getting a new Promethean board - interactive white board thingee - that will be so cool. I love integrating technology into my classroom.
Our weather is shaping up and the lawn really needs to be mowed. I hate mowing It takes too darn long! Mr. Wonderful started on it last night, I suppose I'll climb on a mower when I get home from school and see if I can get some done tonight.
My endocrinologist passed away unexpectedly! I have hypothyroidism and take thyroid meds every day for the rest of my life. My appointment for my annual check up was supposed to be next week. I called his clinic, they said just to see anyone to have a blood draw and renew my prescription -which also expires next week. So, i go today to have that done. Hope they get a new doc soon!
Jenna texted last night - Condoleza Rice was in her dorm when she got back from practice yesterday afternoon! Condi will be teaching some classes at Stanford next school year! Jenna is pretty pumped about that.

OK, no more rambling for me. Hope you are all well, I've missed you!

Good morning ladies!! So yesterday i was reading something and got a wild hair and have decided to organize all of my supplies in the Elements Organizer. I am currently, for now anyway, just sticking to Oscraps supplies and will probably do a little bit for another CT I am on. But it is quite time consuming since I have nothing done up to this point. I think I should start doing pictures too but I don't know. I'm putting all sorts of tags on everything. It will be nice to be able to put in a couple of words and have things pop up. Plus it will be nice to not have to have extra copies of things in different places all around my computer. So much work!! I'm not even halfway done yet. It will be easy once I have it all done. then I can just plop it in when I buy new stuff pretty easy. Although considering this weekend coming up we'll see.

So, I was going through my mail today and I opened up a random envelope and found checks. I believe they are rebates from over payment of taxes for our house but they didn't come with any paperwork besides the check stub. They are big checks too. I was so not expecting that. Now I have to decide if I want to be good and responsible and pay something off or do I want to talk my dh into letting go ahead and buy my big girl camera. Oh, and for those of you who gave me advice...I have decided on a Nikon D60. I found a pretty good deal on it and I am totally excited about it. It is random money...or at least seems like it...so I should get to spend it on what I want, right?? DH got a trip to Alaska, right (it was kinda a Christmas present, but I wasn't expecting $500 tickets when I gave him that gift...trying to think of valid arguments here).

Tomorrow Ethan has his first belt promotion test for Taekwondo. I am pretty excited for him about it. I have no idea how he will do. We'll see tomorrow. Unfortunately DH has a work meeting he has to go to and so he won't be able to come. So sad. Oh, that means I need to sit down with him tonight and come up with some weekends he can take call so that he doesn't get stuck with crappy weekends that don't work, like Memorial Day. He's such a dork. Love him...but he can sure make me crazy. I'm guessing each of you have moments of feeling the exact same way.

Well, it is almost lunchtime and I have a deposit to make so I will cut this a little short. Shorter for me anyway.

Chris - There are no scholarships for that class because it is a credentialling class. It is often paid for by your employer but since I am not employed to do mammography, I can't get it covered by my employer. I just didn't figure it would be so freakin much. Have fun playing in the sunshine today. Soak up that sunshine while enjoying your BFF!!

Dawn - Do you wear scrubs? And iron them? Wow! If that is the case i am so impressed. I don't think I have ever ironed mine. Is that bad?? I hope you got everything done and were off to work on time.

Vicki - Yay! So happy to see you. I was just organizing your Natural kit. I hope you enjoy your guilt free reading. How fun. I wish I could read but I really don't do any reading except for once in awhile. So sad. I'm glad you have all your work done.

Tali - Isn't that crazy how different kids are at potty training. Addie has been wanting to wear them but uses them just like a diaper. So frustrating. One day she'll get good at the potty. have fun at dance class with Ella tonight.

Sandra - I think the O's are more fun when you don't have to run off real quick because your get ready list is still looming. Not fun for me. Sounds like you have a gorgeous yard. I hope you put pics up soon.

Linda - Hi! I'm Clara. Welcome to the Os!! Lol!! JK!! Welcome back. Sounds like things have just been crazy. I hope things slow down soon and we see you more often. Do you stay pretty low key during the summer? Have fun with mowing the lawn. I guess it can't be so bad when you can sit to do it if you have some music to listen to or something.

ME - Enjoy the sunshine. I hope they start the AC up soon. Isn't it crazy how we all long for summer but when it shows up we aren't quite ready for it. So funny.

Happy Evening everyone! First day back at work was not too bad, we are in our new little nurse's station and it is quite nice. Each station along with their doctor got to decide how they wanted it and ours is u-shaped. We have a small black fridge that locks (a nice feature as the cleaning people tend to have sticky fingers). Overhead cabinets all around, a sink, 3 different hts of countertops, I wanted mine 32" so I could stand or sit as I do all the running, Cindy(my cohort) wanted to sit so hers is desk ht", and the dr's is 40" as he is pretty danged tall. In the corners the cabinets are angled and the fridge sits under the counter there and opposite is the sink. Then we have a locking floor to ceiling cabinet for our injectables and samples. We also have our very own fax/copier combo which is an awesome thing as there are only 2 large ones in our floor of the office and we get lots of faxes from Hospice. It's almost like we are a separate practice. Another thing that is way cool is under cabinet touch lights, they are little bitty and have 2 settings, I didn't have a headache all day!!!! I hope it sticks .

On a sad note, Cindy found out her sis has thyroid cancer today, she had half of it removed a couple of wks ago and at the time it was benign. They sent it for pathology and it came back bad. She's Cindy's last relative on her side of the family and they're very close, neighbors in fact.
She has to go Monday for surg to have the rest removed and I guess to decide what treatment, she won't know until then if any lymph nodes are involved and I imagine she will need ct scans and probably a bone scan...and she is a smoker . They lost both their parents pretty young to cancer.

Well, enough about me...personals to follow!

I can't wait to see pics with your new cam, you are totally justified in getting it LOL! And yup, I iron my scrubs haha, kind of out of necessity cause they sit in the basket instead of hung up . That's about the only thing domestic I do anymore.

Tali-bitter apple spray, huh? I'll run by the pet store and check into that, gotta do something! The book you mentioned sounds good, I have a very soft spot for Alzheimer's patients, we see a lot of them at work. It is such a devastating disease. I'll have to find it and read it!

Mary Ellen-I hear you on the pollen! I looked like I was in tears at work today LOL. It was even raining and it was still bugging me. I hope you get some a/c soon, it's no fun working without it.....or with it sometimes LOL.
