Hey there, O-zies!
Gary and I want to head out around 9 so I am going to try my best to keep my ramblings to a minimum. Of course, *your* minimum is likely different than *my* minimum, so take that statement with a grain of salt. Ha!

Did you have a good day yesterday? I worked as diligently as I could to get everything done. The biggest accomplishment-- Christopher's album! Done, ordered, and will be ready to pick up next week. *wipes sweat from brow* Power-scrapping should be considered an athletic activity, I swear I worked up a sweat. :rotfl:

I searched all over the internet to find a few new recipes. I added vegetarian spinach and cheese enchiladas to the list. I am hoping that the tomatoes will be good for Caprese pasta. Fresh tomatoes, mozz, and basil over linguine. Lots of garlic. But if the tomatoes are mushy- blech. I am making honey and sesame chicken/tofu for dinner tonight. I usually save tofu for when Tom is here, but he doesn't eat honey so I haven't made this meal in a long time.
I dunno--- sometimes when I watch outer space shows I wish that I could pop open a can of "pre-fab" food and be done. :/

Other than car inspection and shopping, I don't have any plans. My head is still a little messy, I just feel so unsettled. The yoga routine I did yesterday was a Stress Relief video and it definitely grounded me, but the feeling never lasts long enough.

TfT
I use Paprika as a recipe and meal organizer which helps a bit. There is a free version but I use it enough and thought $5 was worth it to purchase the app. One of the best features is that you can create a meal plan from the recipes you save. I still use paper to scribble them out but this works to keep it neat and all in one place

That is amazing news. I don't know how I would decide between the two possible houses. Eh, I know I would choose the house closer to the ocean. LOL Do you have any pictures of them? What do the kids think??

@Su_Sanne how are you feeling today? I hope that the pain and itching are much less.

@taxed4ever I know you will scrap some gorgeous pages with the photos you took over the weekend, can't wait to see them. I am thrilled that you had a great time and got pampered. Such a wonderful birthday!
I saw Rae's photo on the cruise, I am really happy for her too. :heartpumppink:
How are you feeling today? Hope you get to the pool. Don't sink from the extra spa weight :giggle4:

Gary and I did struggle but we lucked out in the most amazing way with our first home. He was in a lottery for low-income housing through his town and a spot opened up about 5 months before our wedding. He (we) was able to buy a small 2 BR condo and I just moved in after we were married. Our mortgage was under $500/month. It was teeny tiny, not more than a box of a unit. But we were able to save instead of renting. We ended up moving all the way up here in the boonies because we couldn't afford anything closer to where we grew up. And we bought a fixer-upper like you wouldn't believe. LOL!! My kids are astonished every time they see the pics of the house when we moved in. It was disgusting. Reaaaaalllly disgusting. When Linda said that she can decide between ocean or new construction, lemme tell you "New Construction" sounds damn good to me. :D

PS: No sign of Tif...... maybe it is still too early for him to be out

@Cherylndesigns I have regular Black-Eyed Susans, but never heard of trailing variety. I bet they look gorgeous in the pots. And your ferns... Have you hugged them yet? LOL

@Nonni F I had dreams about rain, we need it here too.
One of the nurseries in town has alpacas and baby goats on the property- A tortoise too. Caitlyn and I have to slow down and wave to them whenever we drive past. I'll see if she has time to come with me when I head there and make a field trip out of it. :D
Do you use poison ivy remover soap? I got some on Amazon and it helps, but says you need to wash 15 minutes after exposure. Really? I'd never be in the yard, only in the shower hahahaha!!!

Waving hello to all of you who pop in, thinking of Kay and Vicky too!

@faerywings within fifteen minutes of exposure! HA! That's funny. If I realized I'd been exposed I'd have never touched my face in the first place! LOL (oh, you should see me this morning!)
@Su_Sanne, I hope the shingles pass quickly. They truly are evil. My grandmother use to get them often. Not sure why. Don't know if stress aggravates the virus, but it seemed every time she had to go to the hospital... shingles paid a visit.
@LSlycord SOLD!!!!!!!! How exciting! Big things happening. How far away from where you are now are you moving?

Have a fabulous day, everyone!! I'm guessing is TfT is (Tuesday fun Tip?) If so: LEAVES OF THREE, LET IT BE! That is all. Florentino Out.

@faerywings your fixer upper story sounds like us. Let me tell you, we had to see the POTENTIAL and not the current view when we were shown the house. It was also "what we could afford". After we got the keys and went in to clean I didn't know if I should be burying the stuff I was finding in the yard or calling the PD. There were Rx bottles, pipes, mirrors, razor blades. Yup.. pretty sure I bought the local coke addicts house. It's tiny. It's one bedroom, but it works for us. There are times I wish we had a least a second bedroom, or a dining room (when we open our kitchen table you cannot open the fridge door) but, the older I get I'm thankful I won't have to downsize someday. It's manageable. Not to mention when we bought the house, I'd lost count of how many times I'd moved, especially while in the Air Force, so I told Bob he'd be burying me in the yard... and I'm sticking to that. (hopefully he won't bury me with those crack pipes)

Morning ladies... Well I am officially sick with COVID!!! Dam it!! I tested positive this morning and I am really bummed about it! Last night was awful, so stuffed up , bad headache sore throat sore ears and I ache all over. I was thinking this morning that I haven't been sick, not even with a cold for almost 4 years!! Guess I should let the resort know, or do they even care anymore?? Anyway I am feeling way to crappy to stay on here and I am so sorry for not doing personals, but I need to go lay down once again!! I will pop in here perhaps later today. Take care everyone! :heartpumppink:
