Hola!! Happy Tues. Its a Hump Day for us Americans. Is everyone gearing up for the big feast?

I am going to say a quick hi to you all. Have to get the morning chores going.
Big day- I get my results back. I'll post back when I get back home.

huggles!

Quick hi. I'll get back in tonight...between grocery shoppping for Thursday and making strawberry butter...and making cranberry relish...and...well you get the picture.

Have a great day all!

mmm, Linda S- sounds yummy!!
Hope you get everything down you need to!

Jaime- Happy Vacation!! Hope you get in lots of scrap and "O" time!

Sally- thanks sweetie!!!! Hope Q is feeling better!

Clara- sounds like a fun weekend! I have to admit- its probably good that you didn't get that photo of Addie Paddie. The Walmart Photo Police might have to come and take you away. grrrr...
But what a cutie- she is too funny! LOve your idea of the gift giving too.

Kat-- to channel Sally- don't forget your oxygen! Love you!

Elisa- have fun with the photos- so glad that things worked our w/ the wedding client.

Linda W- ack! Hope you get everything transferred to that new drive. I am asking for a year's subscription to Carbonite for C-mas this year. Hope today is calmer for you.

Ok, gotta get going, xoxoxoxo!

Good morning ladies!!!!

I have had a wild and crazy morning already.......Traci called at 6 (as I was getting ready to leave to go to Walmart) and said she was really sick...so instead of grocery shopping, I ran to pick up Jesse and Jaiden...My Mom came by to pick up Jesse and take him to school...he goes half days for preschool....Guess I will try this evening for groceries...

Well my EHD finally finished downloading at 8 this morning...LOL...13 1/2 hours....but at least the old one hung on!!! DH could understand the urgency...I explained that the urgency was this: "If I lose everything on that hard drive...someone will be picking up the turkey on Thursday out of the road, and he may have to live downstairs in the basement for a couple of months!!!" I think he understood better after that LOL!!!!

WEll...I have a fussy baby...think he wants to eat...I will be back in a few for some personals!!

(((HUGS))):p

I'm thrilled to report that I'm spending my morning still in my pjs sitting in front of the computer letting my creativity run wild! :) Ahhhhhhh, vacation (and the kids are in school today!).

Sally - Hoping you got some good news about Quentin yesterday. My dd is like that too and we usually don't know she has an ear infection until they rupture.

Clara - Sounds like Addie's party was a lot of fun and you got some great memories!

Kat - Hope you get some downtime today!

Elisa - You're sure keeping busy this week! I hope I can be even half that productive this week. :)

Linda W - How scary! My first EHD did that and it was touch and go as to whether I would be able to get my files off of it. I hope you were able to get it all taken care of last night. And woo-hoo for the new camera!

Chris - Sending lots of positive vibes your way and hoping you get some great news today!

Just got back from the hospital- there were two things in the calcifications, but both are benign. I have to go back for a recheck in 6 months, but otherwise- its all good to go!

Now I am just feeling exhausted- been a long week or so. But feeling very thankful as well.

Thank you all so much for your good thoughts!

xoxoxoxo

Ohhhh Chris, I'm soooo praising God for your good news!!! yay!!

So I gotta jump in the shower to get all cleaned up to face the day. I woke up with a full head...my ears are so full that I've said "what?" too many times to my family!! I didn't think any of my fam mumbled, but that's what I'm hearing from every one of them!! and Mr Gorgeous has the aches, so I made a drs appt for both of us for this afternoon!! LOL!! Quentin is on antibiotics and is jumping around like a typical boy now. I'm so thanking Joseph Salk (is that his name??? and i'm a homeschooling mom??? LOL!!!) for the discovery of pennicilin and antibiotics!! LOL!! Hopefully I'll be able to hear the rest of the week....although I'm a terrible antibiotic taker...we'll see how it all turns out!

hugs to everyone...i'm in fast mode today! Love you ALL!!!!

Chris - I'm so glad for your news - really relieved for you!!

Sally - I hope you and the family starts feeling better soon!

Everyone else - Hi!!! Sorry I haven't been checking in, but I have been following the posts. I just haven't had anything exciting to post about lately - good or bad.... Next week we should hear what the results are of DH's tests earlier this month (fingers crossed)....

GOOD MORNING!!

Today is a good day. Not for any good reason. It just feels like a good day. I really want to go get some coffee but I am lazy and not wanting to get off my butt to get it. Ugh!! Last night we ended up going to a friend's house to help them celebrate Thanksgiving early. They made ham and it was yummy. She was going to make some brown gravy for her mashed potatoes so I had to teach her how to make ham gravy. She had never had it before. But she liked it and life was good. Plus my hubby is always a big fan of ham gravy.

Today Ethan has his belt testing. I was about to squish him yesterday though. They have to write an essay about different things for their testing and his was on Rights and Responsibilities and getting him write it was absolutely painful yesterday. He finally got it done though. So he can do his belt testing. They want him tostart testing next year which may mean a trip to Florida next year. Eeek!! I didn't realize we were already at that point. We'll see how it goes. I want to see him compete locally first before we go traveling. That is a lot of money. But hopefully not too much after some fundraising. We'll see how it goes. I just know that after this belt testing Ethan can do one more and then he needs to slow down a little bit. I don't need a 9 year old black belt. That is just too much. So, we'll start skipping testing dates eventually. But he can do them until he gets his green belt for now.

I'm getting excited for Thanksgiving. I am looking for some recipes for augratin potatoes to make in the crock pot. then, because I don't like pumpkin pie I am making a pumpkin ice cream roll. I trying to decide between vanilla ice cream or pumpkin ice cream. Decisions decisions. LOL!

Well, I am starving and need to do some grocery shopping at lunch so I'd better go. I'll be back in a bit for some personals.

yay! Chris!! WONDERFUL news!! no doubt a great burden has been lifted off your shoulders!! here's a big {hug} now get out there and on with your life!!! :)

I am at work so can't stay for very long, just wanted to wish everyone best of wishes for a great Thanksgiving and totally jealous of you all getting holidays!! :) Have fun!! I will think of you while I am slaving away at work!! LOL!! :)

Oh Chris, I'm so happy for you!!! This is wonderful news!!! Big hugs and my best thoughts and prayers for you and your family. No doubt this is going to be a special Thanksgiving for you all!!! Love!!!

Girls, I'll come to wish you a great Thanksgiving on Thursday. Meanwhile, enjoy and have fun shopping, cooking, planning and getting all ready for the big day! I've never celebrated Thanksgiving, but I do understand very well how much that means for you! I'll be thinking of you! :D

Chris - Whoohoo!! I am sooooooooooo excited for your good news. I knew it would be but hearing it officially is awesome. I am so glad you are smart about it. A friend of mine is being really stupid about it. She felt a lump but her hubby cancelled their insurance. So she is planning on going to see a plastic surgeoun to get a reduction but if they don't find it no biopsy or anything will get done and she's okay with that But she doesn't care. It just makes me mad that someone can be that stubburn and just plain dumb. Benign cysts run in the family and it is very probably what it is but still, you don't mess with that stuff. Not to mention if it is something and she gets plastic surgery, her plastic surgery will end up getting all messed up in the end, but that will be what she gets for being vain I guess. I just hate that it could even come to that. Thank you for being responsible and non-ignorant about your health. It means so much to those who care about you. Sending you giant huge squeezy hugs, as only I can give. Love ya girl!!

LindaS - Strawberry butter? what is that all about? I don't know anything about all these butters. Yummy.

LindaW - Happy camera day. I hope your camera rocks!! I am sure you will know by the end of the weekend whether or not you love it or not. And like you said if you don't it will be all good. I am super excited for you. Yay!! I hope you get your grocery shopping done. I got all of mine done at lunch today except for ice cream. We do prime rib and my mom usually cooks it on the grill but she made a comment to my sister that she didn't want to this year so we were brainstorming and thought that maybe we should make au gratin potatoes in the crock pot, so that is the plan. I bought all the stuff today. Then I don't like pumpkin pie so I bought stuff to make a pumpkin cake ice cream roll. mmmmm...

Jaime - so jealous that you are on vacation already and doing some of it kidless. That is awesome. Enjoy your pajama day. Do you get one of those days tomorrow also? Well, enjoy it.

Sally - you in a fast mode? Nooo!! Never!!! LOL!! I can't imagine you in anything but once you get yourself out of bed. Now get yourself well lady. I am a horrible pill taker too. But I am getting much better about my daily pills. I've gotten less crazy and my headaches have gone away. Plus I get my shots twice a week on top of that. I'm becoming a shot rock star. I think I could give them to myself if I had to...well, except I couldn't get the angle to give them in my tricep. Besides that I totally could. I do everything else for the shot. Anyway...get better...take your meds lady!!!

Leslie - just pop in and say hi. I am the queen of writing lots and saying nothing. LOL!! I could write paragraphs and not say anything at all. You don't have to say anything but we'd love to hear from you. I hope things are going well for you.

Ona - I think you should take Thanksgiving off. I am making you an honorary American so you can celebrate our holiday to give thanks. Besides, why should you have to be American to give thanks. So, take the day off, cook up some meat and celebrate.

Tomorrow is Friday!! Whoohoo!!!! I am so excited for a long weekend.

Soco - you too. Thanksgiving is easy. You just have to be thankful. Thanksgiving is really as easy as that. Those of us with a Christian belief system also believe it to be a day to give thanks to God. It is just such a wonderful holiday. No gifts, no big party, just food, family, and quality time. I love it.

Although the year Addie was born it was a pretty miserable holiday for me. I was so glad my family did everything because I was a mess. I felt horrible. It was 3 days after she was born, my milk had just come in, and boy did it come in. I hurt, I had cramps and was just miserable. But my family cleaned my house, took care of me, let me sleep whenever I needed to, helped me take care of the kids and we all still had a pretty good time.

Sorry I did not make it back to love you guys!! It has been a mad house here!! Ayden cried ALL DAY LONG!!! I had to take him screaming in the car to pick up Cameran...Oh my nerves are bit frazzled!! but I felt so bad for him...there was no comforting him...he would not take a nap...a big part of his problem, I think...and he just couldn't be satisfied!!!! And my camera did come today...so I was a bit preoccupied with this, when I could be...YOU ARE LUCKY I AM ON HERE NOW!!! hehehehe!!

I have book to read!!! to figure this think out!!! and Clara you are right...I should know in a few days...so I will get back to you on this!! I think I will figure this one out, then go "put my hands" on some others to compare...then I will know FOR SURE!!!

One quick comment...Chris.........I AM SUPER HAPPY FOR YOU SWEETIE!!! I JUST KNEW IN MY HEART IT WOULD BE THIS WAY!!! ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

Chris I'm so happy for you! YAY! You deserve some happiness!

Clara- Hooray for good days, for whatever reason! I love Thanksgiving. I don't like pumpkin pie, either. Pumpkin roll sounds good. Maybe chocolate chip pumpkin muffins.

We're doing Thanksgiving with the neighborhood. Several of us are having a kind of open house dinner hop thing. I'm doing home made rolls and a big green bean casserole made with Top Chef cream of mushroom soup. Atha and I are also going to make some chocolate mint truffle cookies- a huge batch- and mail half of them to Vince. He'll love getting something home made, even if it's not super fresh.

Hi everybody! It's been a few days for me!~ Also, apparently I'm doing this kind of "stream of consciousness" with some personals on top. Oh well! Hee hee! It's been a good couple of days. We're getting everything set up for Gen to start Special Ed on Monday. I really think it's gonna be good for her. I did have to get used to her being referred to as "disabled," I think I mentioned that before. But cha can't go to Special Ed if you aren't disabled. *Sigh* I mean, I don't know why the word bugged me so much, it's just a word. Genny is Genny.

Also, we FINALLY got our referral to get her to the developmental pediatrician, which we've been trying to do for 1 1/2 years now. Her appointment is on the 10th. I keep hoping that we'll end up with a "Mystery Diagnosis" scenario where they say, "Aha, it's her alskdjf hormone, give her these pills once a day and she'll be just fine!"

Sally- I've noticed that my sinuses are pressurized as well. Finally am almost over the chest rattles, and now I can't smell. Here's hoping it's over for all of us before Thanksgiving so we can all smell and taste our yummy vittles!

Linda W- you make me afraid for my hard drive. I have about 2/3 of it on various discs here and there, but nothing from.. ah, the past 8 months or so? is backed up. Yikes. I'm glad you got yours backed up!

Oooh I haven't even looked at page 2!

Clara, when's Addie's birthday? Gen's is the 28th. Know what's funny about the 28th? It is also my evil Ex-Fiance's birthday. So when they scheduled Gen's c-section for that day, I said, "Fine, I'm taking back November 28th!" LOL.

Thanksgiving is my favorite favorite favorite holiday because I think thankfulness is SO important! If we can always hold on to some reasons to be thankful, even if it's just for the sun coming up again, then there is always hope that there will be TWO things to be thankful for tomorrow, kwim? Plus, I love to feed my family.

OHHHH OH! I forgot, we decided to give my old Toyota Echo to my son, Quinn, so it looks like he will be visiting us around Christmas! YIPPEEE!!! I just love my son, he's my best friend in the world. I know my husband is supposed to be, but.. well. Quinn and I have almost 20 years together now. He's such a mamma's boy, we talk every day on the phone, Facebook, what have you. Anyway, I'm psyched to be able to see him.

LindaW- Sorry for your noisy day! Poor crying fella! What camera did you get, you lucky lady? Someday I'll get a DSLR... someday.

LindaS- Strawberry butter sounds delish. Slop some on over here, yummy!

Okay, I'm going to have a beer! Hee hee! And I think I'll play some mindless match three game. After getting the girls in bed, of course. They used to watch one video before going to sleep, but the tv in their room broke, and we can't really afford a new one, so we've been READING at night instead. Imagine! I ordered some of Marguerite Henry's books used from Amazon to read to them.. did anybody besides me go through a horse phase and read Misty of Chincoteague?

Okay, the girls want to be tickled! Bye bye!
