ye gads!!!!! I forgot how dark it is at 5 am. It is the middle of the night still. :shock:
Today my kids go off to school, and after the day we had here yesterday, I am not sad at all. Tired heck yeah. Sad, not even a sliver! OK, so maybe a sliver... I am going to miss the "Behaving Kids" not the monsters in my house yesterday.
How sad is it that both kids got grounded by 11am on their last day of summer?
To top it all off, Gary's car wouldn't start and my computer is all messed up. All of my external drive letters went wonky and nothing is being recognized. Argh! I had planned on scrapping/working all afternoon, but after 3 hours of trying to reset my ehds, I gave up just in time to start dinner.
I was able to get my 'scrap" ehd named right, because that has to be for ACDSee to "see" it or it won't open. But nothing else is right. :(

I am off to the bus at 6:40 with Scott, 8 am for Cait, then off to work at my MIL"s. I have to make sure I leave there by 2 so I can get back to the bus for Cait at 3. Normally, I would just let her walk home with my friend, but not on the first day.

Linda W- OMG- I saw that Sharon is coming home today??? Is it a "state" thing, or did she request to leave early? In NJ (only place I know about) a vag birth is 48 hour hospital stay and a C is 4 days. Hope she is feeling as best as she can.

Linda S- I hear ya on the cruddy morning schedule- summer is so much nicer for that!

ROTF Dawn and Davy! Love it- a Davy PSA!!! I *love* the idea of a bunny-room! (Of course I would) so if it helps, you can DH that I said you should go for it ;)

Yeah what is up with the allergy season??? So bad here in NJ too!

Lori , you get Mom Points from me, to voluntarily take DS to CEC! Last time I went was a little over a year ago and I was herxing ( reaction from Lyme disease) and I was so sick... I could not wait to get out of there!LOL

Hugs Kat!!!!!!! I was so nervous for Scott when he went to kdg too. Caitlyn OTOH, was so ready to go when it was her turn, I didn't think twice about it. I hope all of the allergy stuff goes better thanlast year!

Joslyn- yay for conehead kids! Thank goodness it doesn't take to long for them to un-smoosh :D

Andrea- so happy that school is working out for you! Yikes about your ds! Scary!!!

Clara- hope that kidney infection gets better- did you get your meds for it??
And ok- skydiving. How about this- you can take them skydiving, while I stay home with a bottle on Xanax! Buahahaha!!!

Gotta run- time to get Scott to the bus stop!

Well...things may go back a bit of normal today....

Yes...Chris...Sharon is coming home this evening! Usually with a second C-section, if you are doing well...and feel like it...they let you go home. She was doing really well yesterday. Her DH came up before I left to get Cameran, he couldn't stand it...LOL!!! I had her walking up and down the hall and eating well....pushing like a mother does.....all the while...I am slobbering all over the little one!!!

Ok...so I am having some computer time and COFFEE!! OMG!!!! my first cup of coffee since 5 am Tuesday!! I am dying!!!!!!!! There just wasn't time!! I need to straighten my house today...it threw up from the inside over the last few days!!! I am thinking a certain 5 yo had a bit to do with this!!! Tomorrow is some serious cleaning!!!!!

Ok girls...don't think I am nuts....BUT.....................I am taking another baby to keep!!! I figured if I was keeping one...might as well keep two...and I could use the money....I start keeping him Sept 28th. I have been "going back to work" every since just before Sharon got pregnant with Cameran...BUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! 4 grandkids later................

If it's too much, I will help her find someone else. But I think it will be fine...Traci is a little bummed...she thinks I won't be keeping Jesse or Jaiden if she needs me....my babies always come first though!!

Okay...I need to catch up on all the dailies so I can come back and love you guys!!

Good morning ladies!! I woke up with Addie this morning so I have some time before my alarm goes off and thought I'd come visit. Last night was interesting. I hate taking pain pills. They make me sick and of course feel funny and I don't like it. But the pain was enough that I took some pain pills anyway. I was really nervous I wouldn't get what I needed to done last night but I just kept moving and even went to bed early. I got my abx yesterday and the doctor was really nice and gave me some kind of sulfa antibiotic, which usually I hate because they make my mouth taste funny, but this weekend I love because I'm going to the Gorge. Going to the Gorge is synonymous with drinking and abx usually mean no drinking but I got the go ahead from the doctor with a comment about not overdoing it. BUT I have to keep drinking water water water. My back is feeling much better today. If I drink lots of water and keep taking the abx, hopefully I'll be better by the time we leave tonight.

I am so excited for this weekend. We have tix to see DMB Saturday and Sunday and we have awesome camping. The Gorge is in the Eastern Washington desert but right on the Columbia River. (yes Washington has desert on the east side of the mountains). It is gorgeous there. Well, they have a campground connected to the amphitheater but it is just farm land so you just camp on dry grass all weekend and there are so many people. So last year we found a new campground up the road. they provide a shuttle to the concert, have soft grass, outlets for rv's, some activity areas (volleyball type of stuff), a coffee shop and food. I am so excited to be camping there and to be going. Plus the group we have going is awesome. It is going to be a great weekend. Plus my kids are totally excited. They love DMB. AND now this is amazing...I am not taking my computer. AAAAAAAHHHHH!! So Chris, you are going to have to chat it up enough for the rest of us. I'll be back on Monday. Whoohoo!!!

Chris - that stinks that your kids picked the last day of summer to show their monstrous side. It is so much nicer when they let it out just a little bit at a time. Hopefully it is out of their system and they'll be good at school. So, about skydiving...LOL!! I think you should grab that bottle of xanax and jump out of a plane with it, with your kids. :) I hope you get your computer issues resolved. I hate it when that type of stuff happens.

LindaW - You are a brave lady watching other people's kids. I couldn't do it. My mom likes to say that my kids are lucky I like them. I am just not that great with kids. Mine I do just fine with, but other people's not so much. I'm glad that Sharon is doing so well. I understand the rush to get out of thehospital. I rushed out with Addie although after the fact I wished I hadn't. I ended up with a roommate and couldn't imagine having two crying babies through the night so I went home around midnight then had to come back the next day for the 2 day check and stuff. Then I was tired and had a major meltdown because dh was tired and was being a brat over silliness. But Sharon has been in for two days so she won't have to go back again. Yay!! I am so glad she is doing well and that she has a mamma that pushes her to get healthy as quick as her body will let her.

Alright guys. The alarm is going off so I have to go and get ready for work so that I can rush home and we can get headed over the pass. Whoohoo!!
 
Morning girlies!! Sorry I've been so quiet around here! sorta!! LOL!! I'm trying to get things together for school starting next week, but keep getting sidetracked with other stuff I wanna do!! or need to do!!

So today we are going to deliver a bunch of stuff around the city...like sunday school material and stamp orders and stuff...so that's my day...ohhh and I have a vocal lesson. I have to find music for that...hmmmmmm...better do that pretty quickly!! yikes!! My vocal teacher wants me to sing "Feeling Good"...the one that Michael Buble sings..."It's a new dawn, it's a new day..." that one!! So I gotta find the chord chart or music or something!! :)

Chris, I LOVE your attitude today!! Really!! It cracks me up!!!!! Sorry about your day yesterday...today can only be sooo much better, right?? Here with ya, babe!! {{{{{hugs}}}}}

LindaS, Hope your day is equally as fun and crazy as ours!! heehee!!! I'm trying to work out Cozumel...I really am...got the first green light last night when I found out that Mr Gorgeous can actually take off Friday and Monday, so now to scrape up some cash to pay Sal to stay with you all!!! :) heehee!!! hugs to you, too, hun!

LindaW, ohhhh you are so wonderful!! I love that you said that if it doesn't work out with the other baby, you will help them find someone else!! How wonderful for those parents to know their baby will be in such good hands!! :)

I love the sound of DMB (loved him on Because of Wynn Dixie) just hate his politics...but I can tell you that!! :) you will sooooo have a blast!! It sounds soooo granola and fun!! Oh gosh. I'm all worried. I just dropped Atha off at school, but while we were waiting we were standing in an anthill, and ants stung all over her little feet. She was crying and stating that she believed that ants should go to "another world, not ours!" Sweet how she thought they could go on living, just not here! But anyway, I'm worried because my husband is allergic to all manner of stinging insect, as well as aspirin and gee whiz everything else. Except nuts. LOL But I told the teacher, and explained that I'd be right by the phone if she needed me. No call yet. Poor baby.

Well, I'm going to fold some laundry, and get in my class participation at school. We have to post two substantive posts for four days each week in order to get points for participation. See how my experience in forums has equipped me for school? ;-)

Oh, I will have a blast. I'm with you...I LOVE his music but am not a big fan of his politics. He was awesome in Wynn Dixie. He's been in a couple other things too. I do like his green earth stuff though. I guess for his concerts they bring out all sorts of extra recycling containers adn stuff. It always amazes me how much stuff gets thrown away at those concerts. When you leave and look at the grass it is just covered in cans, food containers and whatever. It is horrible. So, I do like that but he is very polar opposite of me and you politically. I think he would be interesting to have a conversation/discussion with though.

Poor Atha!! That is pretty cute what she said. I say that too, sorta...I wish for people to fall off the Earth. I don't want to hurt them I just want them to go away and not hurt people. I could wish them to move somewhere else, but then they would hurt people I don't know, not just the people I do. Anyway, I saw that and it made me laugh that I think the same way as a preschooler.
 
So she's totally fine. Atha. The bites went away completely, we didn't even have to get out the benadryl.

Linda W, you are just the best Nana ever! I wish you were in our neighborhood! ;-)

Clara - I know you will have fun. I'm not a giant fan, but I've known some in my day, and I know how you all feel about your Dave. Sounds awesome! Oh, and yeah. I'm just completely grossed out by all the garbage at those things. So hopefully they'll pull out all the stops to make it green.

Sally - wow! I hope your vocal cords are feeling limber! That's a tough one! It always sounds like you are having so much fun, "Feeling Good" shouldn't be that much of a stretch, eh?

Chris - hope you didn't run yourself ragged today! That's kind of weird to start school on a Thursday. I wonder why they did that!
 
Sorry so quiet....so drained after yesterday I am totally needing some time to recharge :)

It actually went perfectly until I ran into a glitch with a nurse who wasn't involved from the beginning...but it eventually got back on track. Just drains me...kwim? They are all very caring and trying to protect Nick so I can't really complain. The parents...I think were shellshocked about a lot of other things so I think this is the least of their concerns which is GOOD FOR ME *LOL*

Kat...I am so happy that things went well for you at school!! I missed a lot the days I was "birthing"...but I think I have caught up!! You had it rough the last few days!! (((HUGS)))....and now rest your sweet head and be in a calm place!! so how does Nick like school?? Cameran is loving it!!

HellooOO my lovely Ofam! Got in late tonight...had a hair appt at 5 and the silly girl forgot to write me in her book...so she had to squeeze me in between 2 others for cut and color! haha...but it was worth it :). Now I'm looking all fresh for my Disney trip! Leaving not this Saturday but next yeeehaw! The only thing I'm worried about is little Davy :(

Chris-hope things get fixed with your ehds! Glad your kids are back in school, hope that gives you a little bit of a chance to rest. That stinks about the getting grounded their last day of freedom!!

LindaW-LOL about the coffee! I'm that way about Pepsi :). and more LOL about the extra baby, I have no doubt you can handle it, I feel like you are just one of the rare souls that are just the nurturing, mothering type :). You are just meant to care for children!

Clara-hope you feel better for your fun weekend, I imagine you will though with the abx and lots of water :). Have a blast!!!

Andrea-I'm so glad that Atha did not have problems from the ants, those can be bad depending on the type. ugh! Soooo adorable what she said...that would be a cute page to scrap for a memory :).

Sally-I would imagine you'd nail it if you sing "Feeling Good", with your positive attitude and sunny smile how could you not?! :) It's kind of one of those times if you are up there having fun and it shows it would be impossible for anyone not to enjoy what they are seeing/listening to :). knock 'em dead girl...um...well YKWIM ;)

And with that...it's time to lock Davy away in a deep dark hole...j/k...like I would even dream of that LOL...s-he sleeps at the foot of my bed...well rather...sits in there and glares at me all night ;).

LOL...Dawn...I will have DH put on his "EARS" in the morning before he goes to work!!! Love him in the brown uniform...he would be just precious if we added some bunny ears!!
