The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Its Thursday and I am hoping for a better day- it is going to be a great one, right?? Right!!!

Yesterday didn't start out so good and it definitely didn't get any better. I got a phone call at 8:30am from Scott's school- he was talking during a Fire drill and wouldn't stop when a teacher asked him too. So he ended up w/ detention. Already. Ugh.

My mouth is still really painful from my retainers. Between my teeth hurting and my gums being all cut up, I swear, they are worse than braces right now!

Then I get home from food shopping where I was walking in circles b/c I kept forgetting stuff on my list, rush to put everything away, and grab a quick sandwich for lunch. Get my stuff and head out for my bone scan.
15 minutes later, Gary calls me to tell me to come back home. The drs office called to say that the test wouldn't be covered by my insurance if I had it done in their office. Lovely! All I could say was he called my just in time. It takes about 15 minutes to get out of my town to the highway, and then it would have been a PITA to have to turn around.

I ended up cutting across town to get over to Scott's school to pick up his herbs from the school nurse. She was very nice and understanding. She also agreed that it is crazy that he could be allowed to take and Rx like Xanax, but not herbs. But a state law is a law...

Then I hit the library to look for a new book to read. I got The Boyelyn Inheritance- I am really liking her books... so it is good to read and escape back into the 1500's in Englad for a bit :)
Makes me happy I am not married to Henry VIII!!!

Today I am supposed to be working at MIL's- she needs yard word finished up before they go away next week, but depending on the weather forecast channel it might rain (or not.) So I am not sure what the heck I am doing today LOL

Temptation on Thurs-
Take some pain meds and go back to bed with my book and be thankful my head is attached to my body even if I say that i wish it wasn't buhhahahahah!!!

Personals:

Ona- I love how you are spreading O-Love everywhere! Jackie is mrstoa? I love her lo's!!

Linda S- hey there!! Hope that today is more relaxing than the others.

Linda W- you are just rocking along with your organizing- I am sooo impressed with ya!!!!
This baby must be a first baby? Not being put down? Yeah... that is not good. But I know that you will take awesome care of him.
How was lunch with your g-babies??

Andrea- just be careful with your stomach, ok? I try not to be bossy but I worry about my O-Fam. I am really good to hea that you are going to get some counseling. I stuff everything down too and mine comes out in my eating disorder. Even if you don't feel stressed, I am sure that talking the stresses out will be helpful.
ITA with your points about meds being herbs first- and if you go back into Traditional Chinese Medicine, you have 1000's of years of history and "evidence" and safety records LOL
Hope you found some rain coats!

Lori- yay for the coffee filters!!

ME!!!!!! How are you hon???? How was the trrip??? Pictures yet???

Clara- wooooot! Keep it up girl!! Get walking and get healthy and strong!!!

Kathryn - welcome to the Daily ooo's!! Don't you sometimes wish you could just put a sign on your forehead that says No I am *not* Superwoman! Good for you for getting healthy too.

Dawn, welcome back!!!!!

Sally- On no- so sorry about the AC and even sorrier abotu Coz (but maybe we can still think about next year??) Wish you lived closer, I would love to sit onthe sofa and have some bon-bons with you and all of my O-Fam!!!

Gotta get Scott off to school...yay. rah.
*sighs as she wonders what it will be like today*

Think positive!! Gotta think positive!!

Hugs my friends~~~~

Hey all :)

It's the very end of Thursday night here, and I'm just about off to sleep, but I thought I'd just pop in and say I hope you all have a lovely day!

Good morning Chris! I hope that Scott has a better day today. Because I know that's got to so hard on you. And I hope that it's a nice sunny fall day today so that you can enjoy the yard work.

Good night Kathryn! :-)

ME, sounds like Chicago was fun. And isn't it wonderful that Christian has so much love from his grandparents that you don't need to worry when you are gone!

Sally, I'm so sorry about the AC! And I'm really sorry that I won't get to meet you in Cozumel! I realized last night that it was only 4 weeks and we would be there! That's what is getting me through the days! :-)

Everyone else, have a very good day! See you tonight!

morning girlies!! big day today for me...getting ready for this last stamping workshop. And cleaning and also trying to figure out what we can afford and what we can't...it's gonna be a new day!! :)

I'm gonna start promoting my Gratitude Journal that I'm starting soon. I hope to post a quote everyday on my BLOG for 40 days and encourage everyone to create an art page based on gratitude everyday. My friend, Megan (where are you, girlie!???? LOL!) and I are challenging ourselves to do this...This is the best way to get my mind aligned with what we are up against financially, spiritually, and physically!! So I hope you are hearing a little voice saying, "i need to do that with Sally, too!!" because the more, definitely the merrier! :)

Chris, whoa...sounds like your day was nuts, but i love how you still found the good things in it!! I see hope in your post, babe!! i LOVE that...you know i do!! :) have a great day, babe!!

Kat, I hope your Friday is wonderful when you get back up in a few hours!! hugs!!

Linda, ohhhh you will SOOOOO love it down there!! Wave to me when you are waiting for the connection in Houston! :) hugs to you!!!

Good morning my lovely Os!! It feels so weird (and nice) for me to be here in the morning LOL.

Chris-I hope you get your teeth lined out, no pun intended LOL. It sux to go through all the hassle and pain of braces to then do the same with the retainers, ugh. I so feel for you dealing with Scott and school, I'm praying for you and your family about that and Gary's disability. I'm so sorry you have so much to deal with. I hope today is easier than the rest of the wk has been! I have soooo done that in the grocery, walking in circles...I hate that...actually I just hate going to the grocery LOL.

Sally-that stinks about the a/c and Cozumel :(...I'm totally down for having a bon-bon and margarita party in the chat room though for us non-Coz-goers. I am glad you will be able to get your a/c fixed though. Our central unit has been down since 2002, ugh...dh and I are not in agreement that it is necessary LOL, so we are using window units for now. Doesn't really make Dawn a happy camper with my hot flashes and trying to get ready for work in the mornings with this yucky humidity LOL.
How's the schooling going so far? Are you learning as much as the kiddos, I think that would be the fun part of homeschooling, no matter how much you teach there's surely going to be something new to learn :).

Clara-woohoo on getting healthier!!! How's the rest of your new-life plan going? Budgeting and such? And what about church with your responsibilities, how's that all going? I know I've gotta get to walking, Disney about killed me, I was literally dragging myself at the end and I'm still so sore. Of course the heat didn't help haha.

Kathryn-hi, welcome to the dailies!!!! I loooove your designs! LOL on the superwoman, I think it's just a given and expected of women.

Andrea-(((hugs))) take care of yourself!!! I totally missed out on your health woes, but ulcers?! Do you have H.pylori or is something else causing your ulcers, like stress perhaps, I can't imagine why you'd have stress. I'll be praying doubly hard for you.

MaryEllen-hope to see you coming back often, we've missed you :).

Lori :::waves:::

LindaS-hellooOO, hope you have a great day!

LindaW-Sounds like you will have your hands full with the new chunky monkey :). I'm sure you will have him used to the routine in no time, though!

Alrighty...I've gotta get the vacuum out and do some scrapping...not necessarily in that order...I've also gotta go to the grocery, ugh. I'll be back later! Love and hugs to my O-fam :).

Morning!!
So we allowed the boys to eat breakfast at school for the first time today and once again I was annoyed. There was a long line and what struck me as odd is that the kids are not allowed to talk from the instant they enter the cafeteria till they leave. To me that is weird. When I was in school lunch/breakfast was fun. They had no talking signs on every table and several monitors walking around saying, "No Talking!" and making kids who talked leave even if they had not finished breakfast. Then in the line they were shouting "Come On, Hurry Up!".
I just dont know how long I can send my kids there. :( Maybe I am just sensitive.

Ok I am so glad the O gives me a place to gripe. Let me get on to personals.

Chris- u are always the busiest woman. Whats up with schools and not talking. Mine keep cutting up with thier talking too. Ihope u get a chance to curl up with ur book. I am hoping to finish mine this morning. I need to turn off the PC.

Hi Kat!!

Hi Linda I hope ur day is lovely!!

Sally-the gratitude prompts sound nice. remind us so i can check it out. i dont think i would get a bunch of pages done but would love some blog inspiration. I also may have homeschooling questions one day. I dont think I like public school. With my sons being ID i think they need to get out of the house but I dont know if I can trust others to do a good job with mine.

Have a great day Dawn!! I hope u have plenty of scrap time!!

Hey ladies, it's a really wet and rainy day here! Yuck ... but so glad that tomorrow is Friday, and so glad that FRINGE will be back tonight.

Chris - did take lots of pics in Chicago, almost all of buildings and art. I don't think I am in a single one. Hope to post some tonight! .

Hi Kathryn and Linda!!

Dawn - want to come and do my vacuuming and grocery shopping too? We are in serious need of a trip to the grocery store here - empty fridge in my house.

Lori - no talking at school breakfast?! that is certainly weird, imo - shouldn't that be a fun time to spend with their friends since they shouldn't be social during classtime? Sorry!

Okay, gotta jet. Love to you all.

Lori - I definitely agree, their meals should be some fun and time to relax after working in class.

Mary Ellen - I am glad about that too - I love that all the shows are returning - my faves are all back!

Okay guys!! It is official. Walking every morning is a must do. I had a planned no walking day today. I had to stay up late to wait for Ethan to get home from the Miley concert (more about that in a minute). So, I decided sleep was more important than walking and set my clock accordingly and today I have been grumpy. Fortunately not towards anybody, just kinda blah!! It could actually be because I had to talk to the insurance company today and I realized last night that MY camera was missing. Now, although I leave my car unlocked and leave stuff in it that I shouldn't...I never ever ever leave my camera in the car. that is my camera, my baby. Derek tried to use it to take a pic the other day of his big fish (there was no card in it, ooops) then stuck it in his car, and well, you all know what happened to the stuff in my car. So, my beautiful, well taken care of Nikon is probably being sold to a pawn shop at this very moment. So sad. But this could mean I can get a new one that comes with an extra lens, except...here's the not so fun part. I thought I had a $250 deductible but I have 3 deductibles, 2 at $500 for the cars and then my homeowners is $1K. It was $250 so I don't know what happened and I am not happy about it. Then the insurance lady kept finding the lowest prices and would quote them, which would be fine except that she'd quote them even if they had none in stock. Getting something cheaper is great, but only if I can actually get it. Ugh!! I just want to get the check so that I can get a new camera. I can't get over those deductibles. I'm going to have to do an insurance overhaul after all this and maybe make a bit of a stink about it during all this. So, my whole point is that tomorrow I am getting my butt out of bed and walking. Dang it!!!

Okay, so the Miley concert. My sister took Ethan to the concert as his birthday present. They met up with a friend of mine's kids and hung out a little bit and then went and found their seats. my sister said Ethan was the best date. Everyone was standing up so he'd stand up for a couple of songs then sit down for a song. When they'd sit down he'd put his arm on her or around her or something like that. He was so excited when he got home. he wanted to buy something at the concert but the T-shirts were all girly so ended up with a poster and a book. He thought he was just the coolest kid ever. Of course when he woke up this morning he was definately NOT the coolest kid ever. Poor kid. I decided to write to the teacher and let her know he might be a tad bit grumpy, but once he was up I think he was okay. I have to admit, I was a bit jealous my sis got to take him to the concert. I do like Miley Cyrus, but I can only imagine how much fun it would have been to see him loving being there. I mean he's been to concerts before (what's Dave Matthews without the kids?) but this was a concert all about him and who he liked. He wasn't forced to go, ya know?? Although we definately don't have to force him to see Dave, Addie either. They both love him as much as I do. Have you guys heard that Kenny/Dave song? I just heard it yesterday. It is pretty good. I like it.

Well, I'm going to play along with Sally and get my post count up...

Chris - I think Ethan is going to be that same kid who gets in trouble for talking during the fire drill. He always lost points last year for talking. He's so much like me sometimes. YOu sound just like me at the grocery store. I can never get out of the grocery store without circling it at least twice. On Tuesday I circled the stupid store 4-5 times because I couldn't find the soup aisle. It was next to the juice? Who set that up?? I hope your teeth feel better. Advil helps.

Kathryn - thanks for stopping in and wishing us a good day. What part of the world do you live in??

Sally - Gratitude journal?? But then I can't whine and pout anymore!! Are you doing it in November again or sooner than that? I actually think I might participate in the journaling part of it. Are you going to have everyone do it on their blogs again? Or are you going to do it in the forums and scrap galleries? It would be kinda fun to do it in the forums...good luck tonight at your last SU demo. That stinks it is your last one. I hope you make a bunch of money and send lots of ladies home knowing how to do new stuff. Does this mean you will spend more time doing digi stuff and less on paper? Or just that you'll end up spending more money on paper?? Have fun tonight!!

Dawn - I am so glad that you arrived home safely and that you had so much fun on your trip. Things are going pretty good. DH is helping out with all of the changes in our house fairly well. He has a few problems with stacking clothes and using the debit card, but I am trying to remember that change like this doesn't happen overnight and the fact that he's trying is great since I was the one who decided enough was enough, not him. We paid off our car, which is sooooo unbelievably exciting. I've never owned a car that I bought new before. Of course dh is tired of it and thinks he needs something new, but that is so not happening. The church stuff is going awesome. It is a little weird calling people to do stuff but I am slowly getting used to it. I have decided that for anything long term I am going to be the first to do it. That way I can meet the people and know what i am doing this for. Last night I took a meal to a couple that got married about a year ago and a couple of months ago found out that he has a rare form of cancer. They have 4 kids between the two of them and his prognosis is not good at all. So, I take them some food and see first hand what is going on, then everytime I make a phone call to help them I can picture them and their situation and that makes helping much easier. This is going to be a very heartbreaking job sometimes I think. But things are all starting to fall into place and I feel good, although I have been a bit cranky for a couple of weeks. The walking definately is helping me feel good. Can you take Davy for bunny walks? Or is that too much for the little girl?? It is totally worth waking up the half hour earlier. Do it!!

Lori - That is crazy about the no talking while eating thing. It was like that at basic training when I went, but not when I was in school. That is social time. If you talk and don't have time to eat that was always your own problem. I can't believe that. It sounds like maybe you just want to get them back at home and home school them. If that is what you want to do, go for it. I wish I had the drive to do it. I would love to be able to spend days with my kids and watch them grow and learn, I just can't. I know that about myself. I love working and being in the medical field, not more than my kids but in many ways it makes me better for my kids. Isn't it crazy how all of us function so differently to provide a working household?? Good luck figuring out what you want to do with your children's futures. I know you will do what you feel is best for them.

ME - no pics of yourself?? Really? Okay, who am I? I have almost no pics of myself. That is so awesome that you got ot go on a little trip with your hubby. I went to San Fran with mine ladt year and it was awesome. We had no plans, and just did whatever we felt like on the day. It was awesome to just have a break from our life and do something different for a few days. I'm glad you got to have that. I'm glad to see you back here. Keep stopping by.

Ona- I love how you are spreading O-Love everywhere! Jackie is mrstoa? I love her lo's!!

Hey Chris!! NO, wrong Jackie. Jacqueline is mrstoa and she resides in Canada! LOL! Long way to go for a haircut, not that I wouldn't mind if I wasn't paying for the airfare!!! LOL!

My friend/hairdresser is Jackie aka jackiemaree and this is the link to her gallery:

https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=21647&sl=j

Jackie is not only new to digiscrapping but also fairly new to computing in general so we have to do some more work on organising her stash so she knows what she actually uses on an LO!! but we will get there!!! Jackie is a real sweetie and fairly quiet but she is very passionate about scrapping.

Sorry to hear the rest of your day yesterday didn't work out for you Chris!! Hopefully today was better and ITA with you about the staying in bed and reading that book!! I read those books and they are fantastic and LOL! I would've have liked to have been married to him either!!!! :)

I'm so happy things are going well for you with the budgeting, and household stuff! That's heartbreaking about the couple :(. I can totally relate about the crankiness, I am almost always cranky, I try to hide it with humor haha.

Bunny walks, not really, we have a German shepherd outside. I do have a treadmill though :), it's just a matter of actually using it LOL.

Have a great night! (((Hugs)))

OMGosh, Clara, that's horrible about your camera! I hope it works out so that it doesn't cost too much to replace it!

Hi Ona! We had an awesome time and actually DH and Davy got on quite well, they've actually bonded LOL. How are things going for you? I know you are starting to have longer days and looking towards Summer, right? And here we are heading into Fall and shorter days :(. You have sure been brightening up the gallery with love and gorgeousness!

(((hugs)))

Welcome back Dawn! I don't think that I could live without central air. Oh I suppose I could...but I'm glad that I don't have to.

I'm picturing Sally's house right now...full of laughing, happy ladies. Hope it was a great time tonight Sally!

Clara, what a great approach to go to the people's house first. That would definitely help with the other calls. My kids have never been to a concert...but I'm thinking that they are about old enough...so maybe I'll get to go again!

I am totally pumped about Coz...the mental countdown is on each morning now! Some guy at work was asking if I'd ever been. When I said no, he told me to keep an eye on the kids because the lines are so long clearing customs. That caused me to laugh. He forgets that I cleared customs with my kids to get them through immigration on their arrival in the U.S. I think we'll be good to go! And I really, really hope Cyn is feeling better by then.

I'm off to try to scrap one layout! Quickly...before bedtime!
