Getting closer to the weekend ladies- how is everyone holding out? I am thinking about going to my mom's lake house in PA this weekend. She tossed the idea out to me the other day and I said I'd think about it. Its the one weekend that I have with no plans until- jeez- probably after the holidays. I mentioned it to the kids, and Scott really wants to go. I think it might be good to get away for a day or two. I can always tell when I need a break from my house and MMG when everything he does starts to get under my skin. I get aggravated when he breathes or chews too loud-- then I know: ya need a break Chris!!

Other than that, I am hoping for a quiet-ish day. I am working this morning (yay!) and Cait is home sick. She started throwing up last night and looks terrible. Tomorrow she is going to miss at least half day of school. She has her scoliosis dr appt in the morning. Its at an inner-city clinic and even though we have an appt- we'll be there for hours. And... its not in a nice neighborhood, so I have all of my fingers and toes crossed that Gary can come with us. So between worrying about her missing so much school and being in a yucky place tomorrow, I think I have enough 'worry" for the day. hahah!!

I feel bad too- she is missing her first meeting for TREP$. She has participated in TREP$ twice so far, so I know she is at least familiar with it. But this year she is going to sell photographs that she has taken, so it will be different than when she sold her "Caitlyn Cuddlers."

I guess I am blabbering away..... I'll stop now. :tape:

have a fab day!!

Morning Chris & all - busy work week- again- guess that is not new anymore. I am going in today for several hours as we have a vendor from snug seat bringing in products that his company sells through suppliers, like walkers and medical strollers to show me, and about 5 or 6 of my families. Some of them are interested in a special walker (kids over 2 not yet walking on there own) and they may get to try it out- great for them not to have to go to the city an hour away. First time for many of them and I believe this must be very difficult for them and they feel comfortable at our clinic.
I was going to trade this time for time off next fri pm, but somehow that seems to be turned into a half day off that starts at 320- ummmm that is not a half day and will not allow me to get to my function 3.5 hours away that starts at 730 in Indy. So we shall see what my boss says. I just found her email about the time I was getting (after it was approved by the person who handles time off for half day off) and sent her my reply. If I don't get to leave at noon- I'm working all day and missing my event. It is tough because the problem is the boss wants the same day off and asked that we compromise and both take a half day off- I agreed if my half day was morning. So after all that fun on my day off, I am going to get my hair cut, buy groceries spend my kohls bucks, RELAX & have dance practice!!

Novel done!

I have been so bad with personals, I am going to try and catch up today :)

Phyllis- oh yuck! Sorry about sending you computer illness. You might want to back away from your monitor. I don't want to send you stomach bug illness from Cait, which is worse.
I think.
itunes updates are the pits! Everytime (OK, not every time but a lot of the time) it screws things up even worse than before.

OT: Tee-hee- my doggie is having dreams and she is making these cute little popping/barking sounds- it sounds like she is yipping under water.

Back to P: hope that your computer got straightened out. I wonder if your kitchen told your computer to stop working so it could get itself polyurethaned?

Trudy- how nice that you got to send so much time catching up with your sister. I know it sounds corny, but family bonds can really soothe the soul. That is how I feel when I meet my BFF for coffee, all of those lose ends just smooth out, and get stronger. Add in some scrap time, and it sounds like a perfect night. We have been cold and rainy the last day or so in NJ too. ick!!

Sally! You are like Spinal Tap. Up to 11 :pound:
It is awesome that you met my mom too- itsn't she the best? You need to come back to NJ again soon.

Maureen- oh no! That must have been hard to work for a boss who didn't have a computer-clue. LOL Hope that you were able to catch up on your 365.

Clara- glad that you were able to fins everything you needed for Addie. What's going on with the dr???? Just run-of-the-mill not feeling good??

Hugs to everyone!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies. I'm gonna hop in here real quick and then I have to start getting ready for "work." I have the car this week...Derek did not take it again. I don't know what his deal is lately but he's kinda started living by the asking for forgiveness policy and it is starting to get a little out of control. I know I can be a pain too but he's just really being a butt. Ugh!! Yesterday is was that he opened up one of two bottles of this Irish Cream stuff I bought a while ago. I had hoped to have it for special occasions but now it is mostly gone because he "thought" it was just irish cream...it seems to not even crossed his mind to ask if I had a plan for it or anything. He wants, he takes. It's getting a bit old. Always something these days.

But work should be nice. Hopefully I can just work on my own and ask questions if I don't know something. I wish I knew where my x-ray positioning book was at. It is in one of the boxes by my desk. Oh well.

Chris - I hope it all comes together for you to find your way to PA. I know going there relaxes you. I think it is cool that Scott always wants to go too. A break from DH is always kinda nice.

Laurie - What a pain about the days off. I hope they get it worked out so that it actually works for you. Good luck.

Good Morning Ladies!

Found out yesterday that my Company is going to have a dress-up/potluck for Halloween next Friday.....uuuuurrrrrrrr.....so I went out looking for a costume yesterday. Spent my lunch break going to a "Thrift" store to see if I find something for a homemade costume. Saw a wedding dress I would have loved to have to fix up a costume for becoming a fairy princess, but not for $180. Then I went to the Halloween store and saw a few Vampire, witch costume again for the money didn't know if it would look too cheap or not so didn't buy a thing.....I may go back and get the simple black shift and witches hat and focus on makeup to make the character develop....I really wanted to be a fairy so I could do the sparkly eyes and scrollwork/butterfly design.....

Anywhoo I'm running out of time and need to make a decision.

Fran- i am on my way out the door but I wanted topost super quick. I am going to be a faery for a costume party next week, i think you might be able to get most pof what you need at the dollar store if you have one nearby.

I saw ina halloween store amy brown faery costumes, but I won't/cant spend that kind of moiney I am wearing a pair of blk leggings and a set of my dd's kooky knee huigh socks. a peasant blouse -- can't think of right word, but like a swingy style shirt- You can get wings in the kids section of the dollar store and if you want you can add gliter/featyherds etc to dress them up. also- in girls hair section, there usually have flowery or ribbony hai
r pnytail holders (Catzilla!! Go away!)

anyway- you could do a cheap easy costume that way.

gotta go1

it's going to be in the 40s all day here today. i'm not READY for this!!!! this is when the rain gradually changes to snow, and then...it's winter.

Chris, the lake house sounds great. wish i had some place to escape to occasionally. i usually use the laundry room for that purpose. when all my family was still at home,l i used to repair to the laundry room (i.e. basement...)to be furious and throw in a load of laundry or to cry and iron some dress shirts. it's the one place where no spouse or kids EVER followed me.

my wireless crap is still driving me nuts. i'm just going to have to accept the fact that wireless here is NEVER going to be good.

Frani, i can't imagine having to get a costume together. though, in my case, the choice might be easy. witch. definitely.

Clara. you hubby sounds just like a...MAN. my method for dealing with that sort of behavior is: put post it notes on everything you have a plan for. or HIDE the stuff. usually i do the second one. my husband has been known to actually pick up and use stuff WITH A POST-IT NOTE RIGHT ON IT!!!!

will she finally put the last coat of polyurethane on her kitchen window today?? who knows.

Hi all...Settleing back into a routine here. I done wore my eyeballs out with the two software installs yesterday. Ok, the redo of the first was my own fault for trying to delete something that shouldn't have been deleted. Live and learn. Now somehow I think my wireless mouse died. My old wired one only scrolls in one direction! DH wants me to get the trackpad but I do like my wireless mouse... Nor do I want to go out and actually have to buy one.

Today I hope to get my hair cut. I'm blessed to have thick hair but darn it can get heavy even when it's short. Way better than having lots of scalp showing! It's also time to do some cooking this am. Gonna make Dick some chili mac for lunch or maybe just dinner for him. I have a meatloaf defrosting and may make that into a Shepherds' Pie. More beef than I feel like but I may go out tonight so ... I alsoneed to make a potluck dish for Saturday night and think I may do a Buffalo Wings Dip or maybe just make a big Shepherds Pie. Still thinking.

Barefoot toes are a bit chilly this am but that's a nice change! back later for personals.

Morning ladies... Well I spent far too much time on the computer last night, and becauxe I have this horrible habit of clenching my jaw when I am on it my jaw is very sore today:hurt: As some of you know I went through all that horrible stuff with my jaw and having to have a splint on it , I really don't want to go through all that again. I have to remember to wear my splint while I am on my computer YUCK!! Anywayyyy... off to work this morning and so far the rain has not started yet, but I am sure it is on its way, temps warmed up during the night (what does that mean??).

Chris - Poor Cait, sounds like the flu bug is back in action!! Hope she feels better soon! I think that going to the Lake House is just what you need!! When the men in our lives start to drive us crazy, its great to get away from it all!!

Laurie - Sure hope that you get things straightened out with your time off... it sucks when the boss wants to ruin your day!! Have a great day at work today!

Clara - MEN!!! Why do they always think that they can do what ever they want?? LOL hmmmm, sometimes we are like that too!! But it would be nice if just sometimes they would at least listen to us when we tell them something!! Perhaps the post it note thing will work, or you could send him to stay with Chris's hubby while you all go to the Lake House and get away from them for a while LOL.

Frani - Hope you find what you need for your costume... I vote for the fairy costume, I think you would look cute as a fairy!!

Phylis - You said the "S" word... say it isn't so!! Not yet, it's too early for :smow: Guess you better get your window finished before the white stuff starts coming down.
Sorry your wireless is not working well. Did you get to check out the link I sent to you for your pictures? Hope your day is great!!

Sally - I was looking on your blog and drooling over all of your beautiful things!! What a talent you are my friend! I have to tell my sister about you, she is a quilter also and does nice work, she would love your site! I finally got a blog going, but it is very sad, only one follower and I am not a great blogger yet, perhaps with time I will get better.

Off to the shower and then to work, have a great day everyone

Chris - I do hope you get to the lake house. I'm wondering what part of PA you mean. It sure it good to have a break from the day to day routine. I do know what you mean about breathing wrong! I know when I get that way too. blush. What is TREP$? Be safe on your Dr. visit with Cait!! Feel yourself surroundeded by the white light of love.

Laurie - it's great that those families can come in and look at the products esp with families like theirs. That's a support in itself. Managing time off with others is hard. I was really lucky to only work with one other person (at two different jobs) over a 20 yr period. Nice agreeable people too!

Clara - Men! can't live with em and can't shoot em. Well we can shoot them but…jail time isn't much fun either. I hope you find your book! ( Hide the good stuff…!!)

Frani - Good luck with the costume! what did we ever do before Dollar Stores? Dick is a regular customer for reading glasses. I swear he breaks one pair a month.

Phylis - Being in a bad wireless zone is a bummer. I think my husband would move! Yes, you WILL put the last coat of poly on your window today! Much later and it will be TOO cold! btw it's easy for me to say that…I'm not doing it! LOL

Trudy - I know what you mean about bad habits while on the computer. I realized I had a sore jaw after dental surgery because I rest my jaw on my left hand while reading etc etc on the computer. Once I kept my hand down…the pain went away! Hope your jaw relaxes today.
