hellloOOOO!!
Cold, cold, cold this morning! I am wearing my base layer long-sleeve shirt, a short-sleeve t-shirt, and my long-sleeve t-shirt for work today. I know I am being silly and stubborn, but I psychologically cannot wear my winter puffer jacket. OTOH, I am charging up my hand warmers just in case. And shoot, where did I put my gloves and hats?
It really shouldn't be that cold today, and the sun will be nice once it comes out. But you know, me, drama queen!
I can say that I had a (semi) productive day yesterday! Woo-hoo!
My friend's house is clean. I haven't been there for four weeks because I skipped when I was down the shore. It's satisfying to see a big difference from when I get there to when I leave. While I was there, Scott called and invited us to dinner at his house, well, heck yeah! I was planning on making roasted acorn squash soup for dinner, and I needed the seeds for the Friday field trip. I ended up roasting the squash and garlic and dehydrating all of the seeds, so those parts are done. It was warm enough to do some light yard cleanup- I collected the last of the morning glory seeds and took down the vines. I put away some of the garden/patio things. I had thought I was going to take down the hummingbird feeder since I haven't seen any of those little guys in weeks. But when I reached up, two yellowjackets were drinking from it. I can leave it up for them a little longer.
The field trip today should be an easy one for me. It is a program I haven't done before. Everyone else working today has, so I'm more of a helper. That is cool because I still have no clue what I am doing tomorrow. It is the Field Trip for my JW Pod and I have two plans written. The one that I *want* to do is the Pumpkin Chunkin but want to make sure that they are ok with it. I have the entire focus of the day based on the scientific method, not Halloween, so it should be fine. But I also need to have someone to help me with the trebuchet. I can't move it or set it up. The counterweights we used last year were ~75 lbs. (I haven't done any programs this year and I am trying to remember everything from last year. Yeah, I know-- good luck with that, Faery!)
Plus, as long as no one has food allergies, I want to make pumpkin bread with them.
*fingers crossed that I find out early today because I have to buy the ingredients*
Wishing all of you the best day ever!
