*fingers are crossed tight* It is 7 am and the phone hasn't rang yet. Looks like the kids will have school. A delayed opening, but who cares?? My heart breaks for all of the people in the area still w/o power, I just can't imagine.
I was reading a news article on a new Climate Study that is predicting that more extreme storms- hurricane, blizzards and so on, are going to become the norm. My IL's wanted to buy us a new sofa for Christmas. I am thinking that we should scrap the sofa and ask for a generator instead. being 100% electric, I wasn't even able to heat a can of soup or boil water, let alone flush a toilet. A generator might be a smarter option. Of course MMG is not going to agree, until we have a comfy sofa to sit on in the cold and dark and no power.
Off to work today for MIL, yay! I am looking fwd to getting out of the house. I invited my mom up for lunch yesterday but then the kids ended up being home, soo the 4 of us went out together. It wasn't as quiet and calming as I had hoped, but it makes my mom so happy (and me too!) to see my kids laughing together.
xoxo!!
