The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
*small sigh of relief* I have to be honest even though my awake time is still full of stress, I am sleeping a bit better at night. When I wake up (totally normal for me), I am not going into full-blown anxiety. I can usually get myself relaxed enough to fall back asleep within a half hour or so and it is only happening 2-3 times a night. What a difference, I need that! Even this morning, I have been up since a little before 5 but was able to snuggle with W until 6, a much nicer way to start my day.

I never made it back for personals, another day out from under me. Gary hasn't been feeling well for the last several weeks and that takes a huge toll on me physically and mentally. The kids have a tough time with it too and I know that it always stirs up stuff from their childhoods. No one likes walking around on eggshells and I think we all have a touch of PTSD from it. A "touch." hahahaha!!!! Can't even try to describe it that way with a straight face. ;)
For those of you who are newer, before Gary was diagnosed with Lyme he was experiencing severe mental disorders due to his severely inflamed brain. The more that Drs tried to treat him with psych meds, the worse they become. It was terrifying watching him devolve. When he starts to show signs of that happening again, even slightly, it scares that you-know-what out of the rest of us.
Gary started a new abx regimen a few weeks ago and it is possible/likely that it is stirring stuff up. His recent tick bite was also probably contaminated with Bartonella which is what caused much of his mental issues the first time around.

Good times, man... good times...

My good "news" from yesterday was that I made banana bread and I had so many bananas in my freezer that I made a double batch. We have a doz. muffins, a loaf pan, and an 8x8 pan. Correction: We *had." There are 6 muffins already eaten and I am going to have some for my breakfast :hungry:
That took up the majority of my day once I got back from the grocery store. When I walked into the Shop From Home Pickup area, I literally laughed out loud. Every darn cart lined up had a pack of TP in it. haha! I said to the person helping me-- "Looks like everyone is stocking up on TP again." She laughed too, Yup!! I was happy that I got an extra pack last week, just in case. I couldn't get the brand we like best but thin TP is better than no TP!

Not much else happened here yesterday and not much happening today. I have to tidy my office a bit. I finished one scrappage yesterday but I still have so many more to work on for Christopher's album. I have until April to do it but I scrap more and more slowly it seems.

Wishing everyone a happy day!

Betty Jo- Aside from dust mites and all of her contact allergies, she is slightly allergic to cats and dogs. We knew that she was allergic to some cats, since our one cat, Heather, would make her it so itchy. None of the others did and now we don't have any cats. The allergist suggested that maybe she not let the dogs sleep on her bed and she laughed. She doesn't get any reaction from these dogs and Whisky- the one that usually is on her bed- barely sheds.
I am glad that you were able to get all of the errands done before the rain hit. Can I ask where you live?

Rae- It has been *wonderful* seeing your photos on FB. My goodness, you are so talented. I looked up Montelukast (it is Singulair is the US) and she hasn't had any luck with any antihistamine. She is taking Zyrtec and Allegra every day and they aren't doing anything for the hives anymore. They do a bit, I should say, but once she is in a full breakout, it doesn't seem to make much of a dent in the mass hive.
I am so glad that Jen had an easier time with the IV for Noel. TFS the photo of him too!

Cheryl- question for you too, as long as I am being nosy with Betty Jo. :D Your FB name in CherylIndesigns NY- did you live in NY at one time too? I live on the NY/NJ border.
I am so jealous of people how don't have carpeting. I cleaned a bunch of houses that had Pergo and I wanted that so much when we redid our house 15 years ago. But my house is a converted bungalow/lake house from the 1950s and every floor is at a slightly different level from the next area that was added on. The original house was just my kitchen/bath/and two small BRs. They added on the main BR, another bathroom, the LR, and the extra bump-out area of our kitchen. We added the second level so it is a mess. It was much easier and cheaper to throw carpet over it all than leveling out the floors. Your house is going to be amazing, are you still on track to be in by the end of the month?
I am so sorry that you have been in a funk. It has been such a difficult year and no end in sight. Are you feeling any better today? Hugs!!!!!!

Been feeling poorly since yesterday afternoon. Beginning to think that it might have been some ham lunch meat going bad. Had it for lunch yesterday and by later afternoon the poor tummy was letting me know it wasn't feeling right. Took me awhile to figure out what it might have been. Tossed the ham package away this AM. Tummy is still tender so guess this will be a do nothing day... as it aches when I move around - get up or down from sitting. Had bouts like this when we lived in Cairo, Egypt so know it might take a few day before it is all out of my system.

Got some good news... DD#2 and hubby have moved to MO and their furniture will be delivered to their rental house today. That was a day earlier than expected but they were able to be there for it.

No personals today... going back to bed and hope I will feel better tomorrow.

Morning ladies... I was MIA yesterday! Our hike was a bit further away so we had to leave earlier than usual. It was a great hike, it was chilly so I had to use my hand warmers. The views were amazing and we stopped at one of the view points to have a few moments of silence to remember our fallen Vets. One of the members read the Poem "In Flanders Field. It was very touching! A few of us brought photos of our Dad's/relatives who were in the War. I know my Dad would have loved the hike! We ate our lunch once we got to the top of the Mountain with another great view! DH went to his parents to help out with raking the leaves and had lunch with them. They were very grateful to have the help and to have a nice visit with their son! Today it is gloomy and grey and the rain is starting to fall now. I hope to get some things accomplished today that I have not been able to do for the past few days. I need to get a parcel out to Isaac and Sadie also. I got all the kids some nice Advent Calendars and sent Mason and Hunter theirs a while ago, so I better get this one out soon! God knows how long it will take to deliver to them :mmph: I ordered a few things for myself from the States and it has been over a month and I am still waiting.

Chris - I am so sorry that you are going to have to rip out all of the carpeting in Cait's room. Carpet really is the worst for dust mites!! Opps sorry the phone is ringing I will get back here shortly!

Ok I am back... Continuing with Chris, my Gary and I decided that for a Christmas gift to each other we would finally get new carpeting on the stairs and his Den. As much as I would love to replace it all with Hardwood, it just is not in our budget to do that  So I am happy to have the new carpet on the stairs for sure! The woman is coming today to measure the den and get us a quote on what it will cost us. We already picked out the carpet that we want and I think it will look great on both the stairs and the Den. I had to be able to coordinate the colours with the furniture and the drapery as I really don't want or need to change those LOL. Anyway the woman will be here shortly so I have to hurry this along!

Kay - Oh dear I am sorry that you are feeling poorly today! Sure hope that all it is, is your tummy telling you something was not good with the food you prepared!! It will take a day or two for it pass, so please take care of yourself!! Glad to hear that your DD#2 have moved and are getting their belongings delivered early!!

Ok I better get a move on and get my bed made before the doorbell rings! Have a great day everyone!

Hello all. Thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Chris, thanks for your good wishes. I guess I'm a little better. I'm just fighting this mess we have to live with just like everybody else, I guess. Thanks for asking, sweetie. I hope you are feeling better, too.

LOL - my FB name. I've thrown a lot of people off with that. I've used Cherylndesigns for my message boards for years and it started out with being my "watermark". I deleted my FB account after having it since 2008. Recently, I was asked to be on a DT but I had to go back on FB in order to be on it. I swore I'd never go back - never say never. But I digress - when I went back on a year later, they wouldn't let me use Cherylndesigns. Go figure. So they suggested adding NY to the end (the first two letters of my last name). I kind of liked it, so I chose that one. It keeps everybody confused. BWAHAHA No, I haven't ever lived in NY. I've had several people think I was from there, or had moved there.

Yep, we'd better start stocking up on TP again. I also heard that the truckers were going on strike/or are already. That's cool! Don't know who all it involves, or why.

I'm so sorry to read about Gary's PTSD! I knew he had Lymes, but didn't know it was that bad. PTSD is really bad and I know that when you see it coming on, you must all get leery. Sending hugs.

Kay, I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. We all need a big get-together, don't we? I vote for a Zoom Cocktail Party. I've never done that, but my sister has done it once a week during the whole shut down. Anyway, feel better, Sweetie. Sending you hugs, too.

Trudy, the memorial for Veteran's Day must have been lovely and very moving. I love that poem. I did a Standing O for a LO in our gallery that had that poem on it. Sending you hugs, too.
