Ola!!Happy Cinqo de Mayo. Yes, just one more reason for us American's to have a party and get drunk.

Its also my nephew's b-day. So happy b-day Dyl!

My shoulders are so sore today. Nope, nit b/c of Lyme.. I decided to make these cool coffee can lanterns for Mother's Day. I needed to do 4 of them. I found patterns online and started out punching holes inthe can with hammer and nails. That got really tiring, so Gary set me up with a power d rill. I mixed it up -- some drilled holes, some punched. But wow- 4 cans was too much! Took me about 5 hours. Today i have to get some paint and attach the wire handles.
If they don't come out amazing, I am going to cry!

Working at MIL's today- she has some perennials for me to put in the ground. wheeeeeee!

Chris sounds really neat- did you fill them with water and freeze them before you punched the holes? I did that with some little tin decorative watering cans to make votive holders - once- wonder where they are.

Lots to do today- last of the paperwork- yeah I brought some home, hair, dentist, groceries- and mow lawn before I go!!
 
Chris.........I am happy you are feeling better and not so cranky....I know that warm weather does help....although here...we dropped back down yesterday to the 50's and we had close to freezing last night!! AACCKK!!!
Those cans sound cool!!!! TAKE SOME PICS!!!! will they be lighted somehow??? I bet they come out FABULOUS!!!!!

Laurie....Got laugh about the cleaning house for the guests who are sitting for you....I would do the same....I get paranoid about it...I would clean out all of my closets because I would fear they would look in them all!! HAHA!!! Hope you got it all done and that you can relax for your trip!!!

Sally...sounds like you and K are having an absolute blast!!! YAY!!! maybe some pictures would be in order for us!!! How did she like the TEXAS exhibit??

Kristy...YIKES a tick!!!! You know we pulled one off of Mike back in November!!!!!! UNBELIEVABEL the life these things take on now....seems they live almost year round!!! Hope there won't be anymore!!! they scare me!!!

Clara....sorry you had such a frustrating morning sweetie!!! ((((HUGS))))) The nap sounds good though (even if it did take a LONG to time to get Addie down YIKES) I think this thing with the feet falling asleep and such is common with the headache stuff...when Sharon is on her migraine meds it happens to her too!!! We had to checked out over and over again and never found anything!! We probably won't be at the beach this year BOOOO!!! We are going to Dollywood with the boys and if we do go the beach it will just be Mike and I, but I think we are saving for a cruise in the spring.....that is the plan right now!!! We should figure out a time to meet in Greensboro though!!! :nod:

Meg.....Hope the hubby doesn't get in your way too much!!! I know if mine were home all the time he would!!! He pretty much only works 4 days a week now.....so he is definately under foot one day a week....I know he won't hold out from retiring for much longer...then I am in trouble!!!! HAHA!!!! Sorry you had to find out about your grandma on FB!!! That would piss me off too!!!! Hope she is okay!!!!

Nana- I won't clean that much, but I need to get the blow up bed out and set up- for my son- he won't sleep in our bed- it freaks him out.

I have a beach vacation- hilton head- so how close am I to my O fam?

Well, it is a beautiful day here although a bit cold. Lots to do today again. Tomorrow is the house inspection with the property management company and my in-laws get in. So, just trying to get ready for both things. I also have to go in for those immunizations today but have to wait for Derek to get home with the car. He declared it too cold this morning to ride the motorcycle...the big baby.

So, any of you guys watch Idol? I must say these last 5 are pretty good although James Durbin is definitely my favorite. Scottie is from near where I live I guess. We like him too, along with Lauren. A girl we know from when we lived in Italy comes over with her husband because they don't have cable and watch it with us. It is pretty cool to see her again after all this time. She was one of the in charge types at the clinic my husband was at there and then she got stationed here met her husband, got out of the Army and stayed. I love how small the world becomes because of the Army. LOL!!

Well, I have a pile of laundry to get started on, so I'd better get to it. Of course I'll run through my personals first...

Chris - those coffee can latterns sound cool. Today is my MIL's bday. Maybe I should make some for her for the camper. Hmmmm... Take some pics or post us up with a link to a pattern. :) Enjoy your planting. Want to come plant for me? Or do some weeding? I hate working outside. I'd sit on t he porch and talk to you while you did it though. Heehee!!

Laurie - You'll be driving by me on our way to Hilton Head...and I'll be driving by you next week on my way to Michigan. I hope you don't get too stressed getting ready. Once you leave make sure you actually leave it all at home and have a blast.

Linda - Booooooo about the beach!!! But yay about the cruise. I love cruises. We are going to skip a cruise next year to go to a resort instead. I am so excited about that. I'm not sure where we are going yet but we are thinking maybe Jamaica or the Dominican. Where are you thinking about cruising to and what line? We always cruise on Carnival. It is less expensive a less fancy schmancy but just as fun. I do have a 5 day pass for a resort at Myrtle...I think we should invite all the East coast O girls. I should see if I can get it over Labor Day weekend. If not I can still get it pretty inexpensively another time. It isn't right on the water but they are really nice. But you are right about Greensboro regardless. We need to work that out for sure, or come up with a plan with Laurie, Chris and Kat to meet up somewhere for an East coast girls weekend. How fun would that be?? I think we need to plan something like that. We could find a central place that isn't more than 5ish hours for anyone I think...maybe. My brain is working now. Hahaha!!!

I am going to finish my:washing: today so I don't have to think about it over the weekend!!!! I want to get some more deep cleaning done this weekend as I haven't gotten too much this week....Yesterday I picked Cameran and Jesse up from school and we went to get Cameran's new glasses....his broke...again!!!! WOW that happens a lot!!! Sharon got the maintenance agreement on them....only $25 to replace them. GOOD MOVE!!!

Then I took them to Chic-fil-a to get a "snack"...hahaha...that was an expensive snack!!! $20!!!! Then Savannah wouldn't eat hers...so the boys devoured it!!!! then they got to play on the playground for about an hour. At least they got out of the house!!!! It was wet and cool outside!!

I am off now....have a wonderful day everyone!!
 
HI Clara.....we were cross posting!!! we are looking at Norwegian...but will probably go with Carnival...like you said it less expensive....but Norwegian is not too far off and goes to some different places....and YES I would love an O weekend!!! Maybe one day we will get that worked out!!!!!!!
I don't watch Idol this year....not sure why...it just has fit into the TV schedule I guess!!!! But cool you get to watch with your friends you knew in Italy!!! Such small world!!!!

Morning "O" Ladies, my goodness there has been a lot of talking in here already this morning! It's :rain: here today, so it won't be so bad to be at work again today. These full shifts are really getting me down and I am so tired at night that I fall asleep on the couch every night after dinner. I have to stop that!!! It's such a bad habit, but I don't seem to have any trouble sleeping at night?? I must really be tired!! It is so nice to look out my back window and see my flowers all starting to bloom! The tulips are out and today my yellow Rhododendron has opened up. I will have to get a photo! The bleeding heart is in bloom and the Azalea's are almost ready to bloom too, I love spring!!!

I am sorry that I do not have time for personals this morning :sorry: but I will try tonight. I have to get ready for work :brushteeth:, dry my hair and get makeup on yet. Oh yea and have some breakfast too. So better :bolt: Love all of you!! :wave:

so now that i have posted a happy comment time for a sad one
today would have been my tanky boys 8th birthday...my German Shepard....he died back in august i've had him since the day he was born and even watched him be born....i misses my baby!!!!
