Happy birthday to my teenager! Damn, I am too young (hahahahah) to have a teenage kid!
Nah, I am so proud of him. he's agreat kid. Drives me insane some days, but the best son I could ever dream of.
I woke him up this morning, and said Happy B-day and he says Happy Day You Became a Mom. Love him!

We aren't able to do all that much this year- Gary is taking him and two of his freinds to see the new Terminator Movie tonight. He asked for home made pizzas for dinner. We did get him one gift which I know he is going to love. (shhh.... Its the wii Metallica Guitar hero.... he has been drooling over it for a long time...)
I think his dad is gonna want to play too :p

We are also going to my mom's PA lake house and we'll celebrate with my parents there.

Not that I watch AI- but I hear it was a huge show....

Linda W - thanks for joining my mafia - your DD too :)
Oh my-- how scary about your dh and his lungs. What can they do for that??? Gary gets depressed a lot too, with Lyme, we all do. It is part of the disease as well as part of the treatment/recovery/BS involved. It is so hard to stand back and watch the person you love suffer. I hope that working outside gets him a bit of a break from it. I know I do- yardwork is my "oxygen"

Hey Dawn- are you running late (like me) today too? Hope you are feeling better. I don't know about where you live but the pollen is sky high here in NJ- its killing me! I want to tear my eyeballs out!

ME- a cruise... oh so lucky!!!! My BFF is going to a Disney vaca/cruise tomorrow for 12 days. And I am cleaning her house for her while she is gone. What is wrong with that picture?

Clara- one more day b4 your long weekend! yay for you!
Good luck withthe new job- i am no good in interviews either. Luckily most of me "real" jobs have been word of mouth, or I was offered it. *fingers crossed everything goes perfect* It sounds like a great opportunity for you.

Sally- uh oh! That Mack truck is back- I'd better watch out, make sure it doesn't hit me. Oh wait, ithas! LOL

Kelly- woot for a pedi!!!

Hi Cora!

Ona- I am so glad you are safe and sound watching the rain, This is good tho, right? Hasn't AU been in a really bad drought? You are way too funny about having your laptop on US time hahaah! Love it!

Sandra- oh no, poor Will! Hope he is feeling better. I hope that the new med dosages work good for him too.
As for the excema- pure shea butter is really good for that. You might be able to get it at a health food store. If not, let me know and I can either get some for you or get you the name of the supplier I use (if you are interested.) It is very healing.

Sara- *schools out for ever!* yay for you!!!
I bet this means we'll be seeing lots more of you!! woo hooo!
And thanks for the suggestion re: Castle. We'll give that a shot too.

We forgive you Dawn LOL!! You can do double personals today to make it up to us :) JK!

Hope everyone has an awesome day!

good morning! I got Will off to school without too much trouble... getting that child to concentrate and behave before he's had his meds is a NIGHTMARE! I sent his teacher a note today, so hopefully she'll be watching him at lunch, and I let her know his meds changed... I'll know how he's doing by the notes I get home as his teacher usually writes a daily note about how he did for the day in his planner... she does this for all the kids' parents...

I hate waiting for test results... Gabe has thyroid problems and they run on my side of the family as well... speaking of which, my dad's sister-in-law (Aunt Liz) has been diagnosed with the uncurable form of thyroid cancer :( she has a trach because it was creating problems with her breathing, and they've done surgery and removed as much of the thyroid as they can... they put in a g-tube this week so she can be fed through her stomach as the feeding tube down her nose was keeping her throat too irritated for them to start radiation... the last estimate I was given was a year, but it depends on how well she responds to treatment... lots of stress in our life right now...

Chris - I'll have to look into the shea butter... we have a whole foods store across town, so I'll have to do a search to see if there are any closer... if not I'll let you know! He was fine this morning and ate breakfast so hopefully he'll have a good day!

Hope everyone has a great day! I gotta get crackin' on this shutterfly book for Will's teacher of our trip to the zoo!

I love that I don't have to be to work before 9! =) Amazing how much of a difference that one hour (or so, since I like to be to work early) can make.

Chris - Happy birthday to your boy! Hope that you guy shave a great day!

Sandra - We teacher love moms like you that are so dedicated to their children. I know that it's hard, but the fact that you give him his medicine at home is wonderful. It's said, but you'd be amazed at how many parents don't care about how their children do at school these days.

Well...I better shower and get moving. I'll check back in later today after my meeting. Have a good day ladies!

Happy Thursday O-licious family! I hope everyone is doing ok today!
I am sooooo glad I have a 4 day weekend, it's gonna be a busy one but at least it won't be at work LOL.

Chris-happy birthday to your son! Sounds like a fun time for him! LOL at you cleaning house for your friend while she's on a relaxing cruise!!! What a great friend you are :).

Sandra-I hope Will's starting to feel better and that his med change goes off without a hitch. So sorry about your Aunt Liz, I'll be praying for her.

Clara-I'm soooo tickled for you about the job!!! No more wicked woman provider :), I'll be thinking good thoughts for you getting the job! I hate interviews too, I feel that is where I'm headed unless DH will let me stay at home...if it weren't for the doggone car payment I wouldn't anymore...at least not where I am.

LindaW-did your DH have to stay on blood thinners? Pulmonary embolisms are soooo scary! I feel for you on the yardwork, not my fave thing!!
I had a blood clot in my leg when I was 19 due to taking birth control pills...I had to stay in the hosp for 10 days because where it was there was so much chance for it to travel to a vital organ, it really sucked because they wouldn't let me get up at all so it was catheter & bedpans UGH. Not a fun vacay, my DS was just a few wks old at the time and I missed him so bad.

Kelly-enjoy your pedi! That sounds awesome!

Sara-WOOHOO! Now perhaps you can play more with all of us :).

ME-enjoy your cruise and take lots of pics!!

Hi Sally!! Hi Cora!! (aren't you glad Madame Lambert didn't win?!)

Ona-Hiya! Hope you aren't drowning!!

Chris-yes, I'm running late now, LOL. But no worries. Yesterday's work day was not a good one, well, I take that back...it wasn't bad as far as the work aspect but I had some issues with a co-worker who said she needed to leave a "little" early and asked me to take her calls for the doc she works with. My doc and I, and Cindy, were terribly busy yesterday our last pt didn't leave until 4:45, Cindy leaves at 4:30 and I still had lots of calls and things to do. Well, the co-worker left at 2:30!! That's more than a "little" early. Plus, she had a man scheduled at 3:40 to come for an earwash and didn't bother to tell me OR the front desk. The front desk wasn't aware I was taking her calls and SHE should've told them. She also left tons of 'tasks' in her box that needed taken care of. Sad thing is I will probably be the one 'talked' to because the man with the earwash sat in the lobby for an hour before anyone found out co-worker was gone....I'm not going to take it though, I was pretty ticked off that the guy was mad at ME...well, co-workers doc is off on Wed and I had no reason to check his schedule and SHE should've stayed or rescheduled the guy knowing I was working with pts. GRRrrrrrr....sorry, I didn't mean to spill all that and now I've raised my BP and started a headache. Good news is my doc is off today and Cindy is off too so today should be pretty easy...unless I get pulled somewhere else or fired when I tell off co-worker! hehehehehe

Oh my, yep, I'm running way late now!

Love you all and see ya later!

Popping in for a minute. Life is just crazy and I am ready for it to slow down. We have something going on every single day and it is just a lot to handle right now. Ella has been in a bit of a funk - adjusting to being home instead of at preschool.

Jacob's thumb is doing better. Of course the little poop got his bandage off yesterday morning so I had to haul all 3 kids to the doc to get it redone. The doc said it looks good, and I'm happy that his finger is pink again instead of purple. I was worried he would lose the tip. It is gross to see that he has no fingernail, but, he has such a high pain tolerance so I'm happy about that. Now, if I can just keep a bandage on it and keep it dry and clean! Not easy.

Anyway, what else. My mom has been so sick, but is finally mending. She had a severe sinus infection and pneumonia, and was bedridden for about 12 days but is now able to get up and about. She also had to go back to work but is only able to groom 4 dogs each day before she gets tired.

Our weather is back to being cooler again. I think it is going to be 70 today. I'm cool with that!

Sandra - if the shea butter doesn't work - I really, really recommend emu oil. It is spendy but it works like magic on our boys. Not only does it work on eczema but on cuts and scrapes too. For some reason Jacob got kinda dry, cracky toes and I put the oil on those with socks and cleared it up like magic. My mom gets it for me online - she orders a lot and makes soap with it. Keep us updated on your aunt.

Dawn - I hope you weren't too late this morning. ;) I hope things go ok at work today, let us know how things go with that stupid coworker!

Chris - Happy Birthday to your teenager! Can you believe it! :) He is going to die for the gift you got him!! Oh - for my eyes - I am just confused right now. The specialist I went to told me I had an "early, possible case of keratoconus at most." So I'm confused. I'm glad he sees it that way, very glad. But I don't understand what my other eye doc sees that makes him diagnose me with it for sure. Very confusing. Not sure what to do know.

Sara - Hey! :) Hope you have a good meeting!

Good morning!!

So, allergies are in full effect today! I woke up with a headache, which sucked but reminded me I haven't had one in a while. It is starting to get better though and hopefully will go away completely once I get to work and take my meds. I always take my pills at work.

So, today is Thursday, which means no evil provider. Amazingly, she hasn't been too bad lately. I had a patient yesterday that had a pelvic fracture and i didn't want to complete the x-rays once i saw the fracture because i just don't have the equipment in my clinic to do what i needed to do for a broken pelvis. So she came down and looked at it, at my request, and didn't make the pt get the additional x-rays. There are easier ways to get it if you are at the hospital with our fancy apparatus there. She was so nice about it. We had to send the pt to the ER so that they could evaluate if she needed immediate surgery or what not. But nonetheless...she's not in today and I'm off tomorrow. Whoohoo!!

Is everyone ready for their 3-4 day weekends?? I know I am. Time off is the best. I really can't wait until I start working at the hospital because they get all sorts of holidays off...president's day, mlk, veteran's day...10 all together...plus vacation and sick time. It will be so great. I need to call the guy today. I left him a message on his cell phone the other day and he hasn't gotten back to me yet so I'll call him at work instead.

So, how about AI?? I was really glad that Kris won. Listening to him he knows exactly what type of musician he is and I know exactly what kind of CD he will put out and i know I'll love it. I loved Adam but I got a little bored of him. He was awesome with Kiss though and if that is the direction he goes he'll be awesome. He is definately a performer and he deserved to win as much as Kris but Kris is more public friendly I think. I never expected him to win though and hoped he would get an album out and be awesome without the win. So, I'm happy for him. This was an awesome group this year. Oh...did anyone think that duet with Steve Martin was awful?? Steve Martin was great on the bango but the singing???? Not good. Cindy Lauper and Allison was awesome though.

So today will be a day filled with Gilmore Girls and scrapbooking. Whoohoo!! I have a challenge to do and I think I just want to do some scrapping, although not sure what yet. I have started a file of to-do stuff, so anytime I need to scrap I just hop over there and find something. So, I think that may be what i do today. we'll see. I have a half done layout so I may just finish that and call it good.

So...some personals....

Chris - you have such a sweet boy. What teenager would think to say anything about you becoming a mom on their birthday. I know I never would have. Amazing kid you have there. I think Ethan is going to be kinda like that as he gets older, but we'll see. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Enjoy your time at the lake house. Thanks for the good thoughts about the job.

Sandra - I'll keep my fingers crossed that Will's meds work great with the new dosing. I know how big the difference is without meds. That is so great that you communicate so well with his teachers. Not a lot of parents do that. I'll keep his test results in my prayers.

Sara - Yay for school being out!! Welcome back to our little imaginary world. You've been missed. I hope you got to sleep in a little.

Dawn - Don't you just hate dealing with other people who don't do their job? I know a lot of people like that and there is no repercussion for it at the hospital I work for, which is why I am perfectly happy at the clinic. I know there are lazy people at this new hospital but the way it is set up you don't get stuck covering somebody else's butt, which is nice. I'm happy about that. How is your job going?? Did you ever get your talking to about who knows what?? I hope whatever it was wasn't a big deal.

Well, ladies, I have 4 minutes to get the dishes done before I leave so I am off. Have a great day everyone and I hope you have some beautiful sunshine. I sent Ethan to school in flip-flops but I wasn't sure if he was allowed to wear them so he has shoes and socks in his bag. he wanted to wear flip flops so badly. He's so funny.

Tali - I missed you. i am so glad that Jake is doing better. Of course he got the bandage off. That is what those crazy little kids do. Mine are the same way. yay for your mom feeling better. Enjoy your cooler weather.

morning...or afternoon (or evening for some of you!)...

I'm really happy today...just happy...I'm getting my hair done today, hopefully with more layers and my streaks back in. Cora is getting some pink (or purple, not sure which) streaks in her hair today...the kids love that we let them do whatever they want with their hair. It's gonna grow out anyway. I've got enough battles!! LOL!!!

Last night we ran through the whole three sets of music that we are performing on Saturday at our benefit concert and it went well!! I just love these guys I jam with! There's nothing better than a girl with four guys on a stage!! heehee!! *sigh* Maybe I can be the next American OLD Idol!! LOL!!!! they need to do that show...Geriatric Idol!! yay!!! LOL!!!

okay...off to get a quick shower and breakfast before I run to my friend's to get my hair done! :)

love you all!! I'll come back and do personals...I've been remiss lately!! but you guys love me, i know you do!! :)

Hey there! Meeting wasn't bad, but I'm sad everyone had to run off and no one had time to go to lunch. So I'm going to go shopping. =) I need pants that fit since the healthy O's have pushed me to almost being down 20 lbs. =)

Tali - I'm sorry about the finger and the business and the funk etc. Hopefully the weekend will help things settle down a bit.

Dawn - That just stinks about the co-worker. It may take a while, but those types of things usually come back to bite the person. Hopefully, it will fall on her eventually instead of you.

Clara - Hope you enjoy Gilmore Girls and scrapbooking! And I was saying that last night's performances were incredible, except for the bizarre Steve Martin duet. The singing was bad and how weird was it that it was Steve Martin? Maybe if they had had good singers it wouldn't have been that bad, but those two were terrible...especially Meggan (that was her name right?). Oh and Janice Dickinson was crazy too. I would to have loved to been there though.

Sally - we will need pics! Have fun with the hair!

Off to get lunch and go shopping. =) TTYAL

HI ladies,

Sara - enjoy shopping! 20 lbs, what an accomplishment, girl!!

Hi Sally!

Clara - gilmore girls and scrapping, what a perfect day. I am totally ready for the long weekend.

Tali - hope life slows down for you!

Dawn - a four day weekend! you lucky lady. i am looking forward to the cruise, but we still have a few more weeks to go.

Hiya Chris and Sandra!

Love to you all. Hoping to scrap tonight. DH is going to a baseball game. What is wrong with this picture? Bermuda and now a baseball game?? Not to worry, I scheduled a massage for myself with my Mother's Day giftcard for Sat!!

Sally - I'll bet after the hair appointment you will be one hot mama!! That is very cool that you let your kids do what they want with their hair. My mom fought that for a long time but finally gave up and let me do my thing with my hair. My hair is almost natural for the first time since I was 16. Good luck with your concert and if you make it to the top 12 or 13 of geriatric Idol I will totally vote for you. I'd stay up all night dialing your number 300 times so that you'd win.

Sara - I thought Steve Martin was cool but the guys voice wasn't twangy enough and Megan just sounded strange. I like her voice but that song was just mean to make her sing. I missed Janice Dickinson which is fine because I don't like her at all and think she's crazy. I get annoyed just thinking about her. yay for the weightloss!!! Enjoy your new clothes.

ME - Enjoy your massage. I am sooooooo jealous. I need one badly.

I forgot ...

Kelly, we'll be gone through the 14th! If your dates change, let me know. It would be so fun to meet up.

Good evening O friends!! all I can say is I am soooo very tired!! Love when my DH is off...but geeeeeezz...exhausting...we actually did not go to my Mom's house today (no worries...not backing out on her...going tomorrow)...DH wanted to go to the country to the farm he hunts on to get his tree stands down...700 acre farm....I love to go with him (NOT HUNGTING) when I can because it is so beautiful!! I took a lot of pics today....we did A LOT of walking...and tramped around in the woods. Speaking of the woods...you gotta hear this local news story....there is a "stalking deer" in a rural area that is about an hour from here. Three different people have been out pleasure walking and this deer has followed them and then attacked them!!! They think he may have rabies...they are trying to hunt him now but not too sure how they will know if they have the right deer. Well..that's all for me...I took a 2 hour nap when I got home...and I am still tired...going to bed early tonight!!

Chris...you are welcome on joining the Mafia...DD says add her DH (Geoffrey)...they are obessed...they have a couple of friends that are way obesses...they will add you too if you want (they will add EVERYONE)..very serious about their mafia!! LOL. and HAPPY B-DAY to your teen! oh boy...it's all just beginning now...but he sounds like a doll for saying such a sweet thing to you!

Sandra...I feel for you with your son...they diagnose my younger daughter with ADHD when she was little and it was a true battle...as time went on, I figured out that was not her problem...turns out...she is bipolar..did not find out until she was 18 though...cause the docs would not listen to me!! Sounds like the meds work for him though...never did for her. And I battled the eczema for years...finally in my early twenties they put me on allergy shots for three years...cleared up and never came back!! might want to talk to the doc about that.

Dawn...DH had to be on the blood thinners for a year...he's been off for 5 months now...so far so good....and yes the PE is very scary...but OMG how did you get clots at such a young age!!?? how aweful to be away from your infant baby! DH was in the hospital for a week and I convinced them to let him come home and I gave him the shots in the stomach and MADE him stay on the couch or in the bed! and REALLY crappy about your co-worker...this is why I am glad I don't work anymore...my short fuse would have told her right off!!

Clara...sorry about your allergies...besides getting rid of my eczema..the allergy shots got rid of my allergies too...well most of it! wonder shots!! Hope you enjoyed your Gilmore Girls and scrapping today!!

Sally....yeah getting your hair done....I ALWAYS FEEL GOOD WHEN I GET MY HAIR DONE!!! Makes me feel like I look so much better! And I will vote for you if you go on "GI"!!!! ROFL!!!! You are so funny!!!

Tali...glad your son is doing better!

ME....I wish I could go get a massage!! well I actually can...I have a Gift Cert. from last mothers day that I haven't used yet....yes....I know...my Counselor says I need to do more things for myself....I am terrible about "self indulgence" I always feel like I am SINNING when I do things for me!!

Ona....should we send you boat? take pics and show us newly formed lake around your house!! Better yet...I will tell DH that a friend needs to be rescued and we will see it ourselves...would love excuse to come down!!!

Well that's it for me....going to relax and go to bed...and so happy Kris won last night....so happy!!:o

Happy Thursday evening!!

Well, today wasn't too bad...I stayed busy and the day flew by. I worried all day about the 'talking to' which still hasn't happened. I guess the evil boss lady will wait until my evaluation which was due on 05/10. I haven't had a good eval since she took over as my boss. She just really doesn't like me, really, I'm not just paranoid LOL.

So, the co-worker from yesterday, I think she got talked to, but we got a memo from EBL (evil boss lady) about how we should always check even when a provider is off to see if anyone is added to their schedule. I just think that is stupid, I mean, the doc is off, there shouldn't be a schedule. But, I don't make the rules . So that's as far as the whole thing went.

Clara-I'm so glad that the evil provider is being decent! Maybe she got a 'talking to' of her own? I bet you aren't the only one who's had run-ins with her. I can't wait to find out about your possible new job! BTW, I looove the color of your hair in your avi, and it's natural? awesome! I'm never satisfied with my color, mine is naturally medium-dark brown and I've been coloring it since I was 19 or so. I drive my stylist nuts I bet cause everytime I go in I want something different, LOL, so every 5-6 wks I get a change. Tomorrow I go to get it done and I think I'm gonna do a color close to Kristin Stewart I love her red. But who knows between now and then I may change my mind .

Sally-you rock as a mom! My mom didn't let me do much of anything with my hair, she liked it long and natural. When I got married one of the first things I did was get my hair cut, LOL...and I started coloring it not toooo long after, she hated it! I can't wait to see your new hair, be sure to post pics! And yes, I'd def vote for you as a Geriatric Idol, LOL.

ME-I totally goofed, I thought you were leaving for your cruise already! oooh, a massage! Enjoy it!! you deserve it!

Tali-I'm so glad that Jake's thumb is not bothering him too terribly, toooo funny about the bandage, LOL, that's a boy for you!

Sara-WTG on the 20#!!!!!! Did you do some before and after pics? that would be an awesome layout :).

Oh yea, and Clara-thanks for asking about my job :). You're a doll! And yes, people that don't do their jobs drive me batty and there are plenty of them where I work! I hope your allergies settle down :(, it sure is that time of yr!

Sandra-how's the book coming? I hope you post your layouts! I need to get in the gallery and do some love-leaving so I hope to see some of yours :). I hope Will's still feeling better and his med adjustment starts helping him! Be sure and keep us posted on your Aunt Liz!

Hi Ona! Hi Chris! Chris-I hope you got to relax some today!

Kelly-how's the piggies lookin? What color did ya get? Ya know, I've never had a pedi?! I used to have acrylic fingernails but never had my tootsies pampered...I think I might do that one day :).

Jos-if you read this, how's Chase sleepin? I hope you are getting plenty of rest....well, I know that's next to impossible with kids, but I hope you're recovering and get back to posting soon :).

Everyone-Have a wonderful evening, I looooove you all!!!

Hi Linda W!!! I was wondering where you were :).

oh my!! a rabid deer! that's scary! be careful!! Rabies is a scary thing...we have lots of bats around here and I worry alot about them and the coons and possums. My dog, Jacy, got bit by a coon not too long ago and it scared the heck outta me. Turned out ok, thank goodness and DH 'got rid' of the coon but I'm making darned sure she doesn't miss another shot. I get mine at a pet pharmacy and give them myself.

As for the blood clot I had, I can't take hormones...found out the hard way when I tried birth control pills. Let me tell ya, menopause is not fun without hormones, but then again I'm not good about taking meds anyway...I barely remember to take my daily migraine med.

I see that your DD is bipolar? Mine is too with some other problems, it was hard getting her diagnosed because she up and quit her job a few yrs ago and ran off. Thankfully we ended up getting her home for good but it's been a tough road with suicide attempts. She's on disability and I don't imagine she will ever be able to work again the way I have to remind her to even take a bath. It's such a sad and still misunderstood disorder.

Anyway, enough about that :). Watch out for that mean Bambi!!!
xoxoxoxo
