CHEERY O
Such great news yesterday!! Woo hooo!!! Nope, it has nothing to do with AI.... I couldn't even tell you the names of the people on it. But just in case you didn't see yet-
Baby Chase Has Arrived!

The pics that Gena posted are so sweet!
Joslyn, if you read this, we are all so thrilled for you and your family!

Sandra- sounhds like you had an awesome day at the zoo! I love zoos- the proper, natural habitat kind of course. Can't be a tree hugger, and like the caged varieties, ya know. Its all in the "Greenie Hippie Handbook."
It is too bad b/c there is a zoo not far from me- 30 minutes that I have totally boycotted. We were there on a field trip when I was teaching, and the conditions were deplorable. Broke my heart. I refuse to go back.
But I am so happy that you had fun and the weather help out. Did you see any llamas? I am missing our O-llama, Sara.

That is really really cool about the student led conferences. IMHO- what a great way to make the kid truly accountable!
I might have to pass this thought over to Cait's teacher as food for thought. And woo for Will!!!! High fives dude!!!!

LindaW- those bouncy things are fun- the kids just went to a b-day party at a place with them. I don't think it was open to the public at all- just parties. But yeah, they are fun. You sound like my mom, she would do just about anything just to spend a few minutes w/ my kids. me too, but I think the g-kids come first Hahah!
I'd come and help you with your yard work if I could any day. I love any excuse to be in the dirt. I love weeding and planting. It sucks that my back pays for it so badly. And i get all freaky about the ticks. Gah, I had one just crawling on me the other day and I flipped!

hi Dawn! Sorry but I had to tell the truth on the date. Besides, if you pretneded it was Thurs, that means today would be Fri and tomorrow would be Sat. Then you wouldn't go to work, you'd get in trouble with your boss, and it would be all my fault.

ME- Haven't seen you in a while, but your ryhme made me smile. :p

Tali- hugs hon- here it to less stressful, calmer weeks and days ahead for you. I hope that your mom is feeling better every day too.

Gena! Thank you for the update!!!

LOLOLOL CLara- OMG you have me LMBO at the visual of you pushing me around in the shopping cart! I am a good bargain shopper - when I have the time and incentive (lack of $$ does that to you LOLOL) But when I don't I just don't shop :)
Thanks for thinking of me and my medical crap- Since we have state Medicaid, the hospitals themselves wouldn't be able to go over and above what we get from that unless we were admitted. That is what we were told when Gary coudln't get his insulin supplies-- go to ER. As if that would work- *eye roll* Sure, admit him to the hospital to give him insuin that he could do for himself at home if you just got him the supplies ! Agh!

Oh, and as long as I made it up on this soapbox, I might as well say how I went to get my new contact lenses, but the brand I wear isn't considered "medically necessary." Buhahahahaha!!

How did everything go with the Today show? Thinking of your sis.

Sally- oooh have fun camping! We haven't been since Gary got sick, but we love camping. Hope that you are feeling cheerier today.

Ona- Happy Thurs Eve/Friday am! ITA- that sounds like my kind of zoo- I woudl love to come down and garden for you too :)

*waving to Cora and Kelly and everyone else who stops on by!*

xoxoxoxoxo

good morning... I've got my coffee brewing and we're about to get a dandy of storm... it looks like night outside right now... ugh... glad I wasn't planning on going anywhere, but it'll mean the kids don't get to play outside at school today...

I'm sooo tired... the zoo was fun, but it'll take me 3 days to recover... I'm sore from all the walking (well my back is stiff), but we had so much fun... it was a nice day though...

Chris - the zoo was fun, but the cages were a little empty... sometimes only one per cage... which means they're bored out of their skulls with no companions... I highly recommend a trip to D.C. to see the National Zoo... AWESOME place to visit and it's FREE! You of course have to buy food/drinks/souvenirs - but there is no admission to the National Zoo or any of the museums!

hope everyone has a great day!

Okay...about 30 minutes before the Today show story on Poca. I am so praying for a somewhat truthful story. I'll let you know how it turns out in a bit. My foot is tapping. I am so anxious about it. I am so hoping i won't be here ranting in an hour. Aaaaaaah!!

morning kiddos!! I'm in full tilt this morning...I have to pack the car, pack the ice chests (get ice and batteries), put the bike rack on the truck with bikes, scrap a quick LO for my LOAD challenge, figure out how to do the same thing tomorrow in the camp, listen and critique the last 6 tracks of our newest Hearthstone CD, finish the artwork for the CD, get that artwork to my friend so he can get it to the company who is printing the CD this weekend, pack my clothes, make sure that 4 children do their school, and last but not least, make sure the house looks stunning for when Mr Gorgeous stops by on his way down to the campsite from the airport tomorrow noon!!

*whew* I gotta go!! Love you all!!!!!

Good morning. The Today Show is out of the way so I can move on with my day. It was not nearly as bad as it could be, still a lot of half truths but better than the local media. I just want to the case to go away so the little girl can move on with her life and all the social workers can put their energy into ALL of their caseload, instead of just one case.

I only have one provider today so i have decided it is a good day for a Gilmore Girls marathon since I've never really watched it before. Yay!! I need some silly girl TV time. Well, I want to get to it so I'm going to cut it short. can you believe it?? Me cutting it short?? LOL!!

Chris - That is too bad that the hospital can't help you out. It sounded like a good idea. I thought the grocery store plan sounded great too. :)

Sandra - Enjoy the storm. I love the occasional nasty thunderstorm. I know the rain is getting a bit old, but you can make some coffee for you, hot chocolate for the kids and snuggle.

Sally - It is official...I think you are a secret superhero!! There is no way I could get all of that done and herd 4 kids into doing what they are supposed to do. Have a blast on your camping trip.

To everyone else, have a great Thursday. Only one more day left until the weekend. yay!!

Hello ladies!

Hope everyone is having a great day. It is overcast and sort of on and off again rainy here (wow such a change huh? so sick of rain!) Im freaking today because my hard drive has been making a rotten awful humming sound I mean literally it sounds like my hair dryer...its been doing it for a few days, my brother came to check it out a few nites ago but of course it wasnt making the noise while he was here...now its much worse. Thought it was just the fan but....now not so sure. So hopefully he is going to stop by tonite and check it again. UGH! SO ive spent a lot of my day backing up more stuff, and burning a bunch of newer photos to DVDs. ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...anybody watching the Grey's Finale tonite???? I love greys, cant wait! and on that note...Sally- I was sooooo ready to cry last night!! Our boy Danny deserved to stay!!!!! He is FAB!!!! LOVE his bluesy sound!!! I know some people (CLARA!!) LOVE Adam but I am not into him....so that was sad!!!!! anyway back to RL....lol So not much else going on here.....Hope everyone has a FAB thursday!

Chris - You are so funny. I swear everyday I read your post I laugh, you have such a great "take it as it comes" uplifting attitude, I love it! :-)

Clara - Seriously you have never watched Gilmore Girls??? O M G that is one of my most FAV shows ever! I have seen every single episode. That show is set in a ficticious (sp?) town in CT near where I live...so funny. LOVE it! Im sure you'll get a kick out of it too! All i can say about that show is wish my mom had been that cool!!! lol! and...glad the show wasnt too bad this morning.....

Sally - you are so fun! Hope you guys have a great time! did you get all of your stuff done?? Can i have some of your energy?????

Sandra - Glad the zoo was fun, stormy here today too...yuck!

Good afternoon ladies!! It has been a wearing day...I kept two of my little ones today (2 1/2 yo and 9 mos) and they were both a little cranky!! Their mommy had a little bug...so I let her rest....Jumping was fun yesterday....we all came home and took a good nap!! My life is pretty much the same most of the time...so if I ramble about my grandkids too much...tell me to HUSH IT UP!! Guess I better jump off and get all the mess that was left behind...

Clara...glad you have some of this behind you...and......

Kelly...it's okay she hasn't seen the Gilmore Girls before...neither have I!!! keep meaning to rent some seasons and watch...but just never get around to it!! We are GMG deprived!!! LOL!!

Chris...oh you gotta know those grand babies come first!! My girls tell me all the time that I just forgot them since they started having children!! You know..they don't seem to realize that the more I do for their kiddos, the more I am doing for them!! Let's see today it was one daugher was sick and I went a picked up the kids and watched them all day, and the other daughter calls from work and says she forgot to give her son icecream money today, so I ran to the preschool and took him a dollar so he could get icecream today!! Hmmmm...........

Ona....SERIOUSLY.......7 grandchildren????? NO WAY!! I would have never guessed!! You look VERY young!!

Sandra...glad the zoo went well...I was there as a school trip in Jr High...I fondly remember it...I keep telling my DH we need to plan a trip to DC and see everything there again...We only live about 5 hours away...but we are always heading South!

Sally....You need a cape and mask! Don't know how you manage all of that in a week..never mind in one day!!!! You are my HERO!! Hope you have fun camping...we haven't been camping in few years!!

Have a good evening (or morning!)

I think a trip to the icecream shop is in our future tonight!!

It's 4:30 pm, and I am just getting here. AAUGH. Very busy day -- taught a class all day, but it was a good one. I had this dorky thought today - I'd love to get a hotel room all to myself and just scrap one weekend undisturbed! LOL. Anyone want to join me. Seriously, I haven't done a page since last week. Maybe tonight ...

Chris -- hope you had a great day!

Sandra - sounds like the zoo was a hit.

Clara - thinking of your sister and little Poca!

Sally (and Cora) - enjoy camping!

Kelly - I am anxiously awaiting Grey's tonight - don't know if I will stay up for it all or watch on tivo tomorrow night, but I am so impressed with myself that I have finally caught up with it for the finale. Crossing my fingers for your poor hard drive.

Linda - can I come with you to the ice cream shop?? LOL. We went and got ice cream last night with my little guy - he and I shared although he demanded his own spoon. He's nearly 3, and he didn't really want to share with his mom.

Love to you all.

Good morning girls!! ha! ha! just to throw you off track!!

Another glorious day here in Grafton, NSW!!! Its Friday morning here and I am at work but all I can think of is what I am going to scrap over the weekend. I bought the new kit from Natasha NASt and I can't it out of my mind!!! Keep thinking of all the photos I want to scrap with it!!!

I just love those coffee colours!! I am not a big coffee drinker, prefer tea, but normally have a coffee at work when I get here at 8.00am. Back in a previous life when I used to quilt my sister and I would go buying material and she would always have a laugh at me 'cause I would go straight to the coffee browns, mocha and milk coffee colours! LOL! The material all sits happily in my craft room where I scrap, waiting for me to come back to them! LOL! I think I am just HOARDER!!! :)

Chris - I can relate to your tree hugging concepts!! we live on 80 acres and hubby has gradually cleared the bush from around our house to make it less hazardous during the fire season but I just HATE seeing him cut anything down! he reckons he can only now do his 'pruning' when I am work so I don't continually stand in front of his excavator in front of a tree and shake my head!! :)
Sandra - hope the storm wasn't too bad........I don't particularly like them!
Sally - you are a super hero! I was tired just reading what you had to do!!
Clara - Hope you enjoyed your TV time! I haven't watched that series either so you have to tell me what it was like.
Kelly - that doesn't sound too good about the hard drive, glad to hear you were backing everything up.........what was the outcome?
LindaW - thanks so much for the compliment! my cheque back to you is in the mail as well!! I think I enjoy my grandchildren more than I did my own kid cause I now don't have to worry about getting housework done, getting them to all the places they need to be etc etc...........I can just BE and play with them and talk to them, cuddle them and then hand them back!! I LOVE it!!!!
ME - I have done what you said you would like to do! I travel a lot with my job and occassionally I am away over a weekend so I have had the ENTIRE weekend to scrap in and yes! it is HEAVEN! and to have room service and the bed and everything done for you.......well, there are just no words to describe it!!!!! :)

Hello to anyone else that swings by but I think I might be the last? You all will be heading off to sleepy-byes so goodnight everyone!!

BTW Dawn - hope you ended up having a good day!! bye xx

Evening Ofamily! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thursday :).
Not too bad here, I had to work in our peds office 2 days this week which kind of stinks LOL, I am scared of little kids since mine are grown. Maybe when/if I have grandbabies I won't feel that way but for now....eeeek :).
Luckily, I didn't have to deal with anyone under 11, there are 2 other girls there who did. I can't stand giving shots to little ones.

The meeting with my boss didn't happen yet so at least until next Tuesday I guess it won't be so bad. I'm hoping everything will go ok. If not, I found several openings in my area on craigslist and already sent my resume. One of which is 24-32 hrs per wk and pays more than I get now and still has benefits which is cool. Where I work you don't get benefits if you work less than 36 hrs. I'm really wanting parttime hrs so maybe something good will come out of all this.

Personals to follow!

Chris-how was your day? I'm LOL at your post about zoos and tree hugging :).

Sandra-hope your soreness wears off quickly, that is the only thing I don't like about zoos, other than the cages (I prefer a natural type environment as well, Chris *G*), all that walking! I know, I should consider it a wonderful form of exercise, but at my weight right now, I get to huffing and puffing and all. I'm tickled you had a good time!

Sally-I hope you and the fam have an awesome time camping! Can't wait to see all the photos I know you will take :). Watch out for uggy buggies and snakes!

Clara-I'm glad that the show wasn't too bad. Hope you got lots of tv watched and had a nice day!

Kelly-uh oh, sounds like your HD is dying, huh?! Glad you had warning and were able to back up!

LindaW-you ramble all you want about your grandkids! I looooove hearing all about everyone's days and families :).

Ona-thanks so much for thinking of me, you're soooo sweet! You're cracking me up about hoarding...I am a big time hoarder. In fact, I just listed my paper scrap stuff on craigslist, I have soooo much stuff taking up room it's not even funny. Before that it was rubberstamps, cross stitch stuff, woodwork stuff, quilting stuff.....LOL. I'm not getting rid of my stamp supply though, I love those. Now I am hoarding digi stuff ;).

Mary Ellen-that sounds like an awesome idea! Maybe rent one of those scrapping cabins or something and all get together?! That would be soooo cool! Maybe we could do that one day :).

Everyone-I sure do love you all, you make each day brighter for me :).

((((((HUGS))))))

*sneaking in* Hi! School's almost out. College class grades are turned in...whew!... Once I get my house under control, I'll be back with a vengeance!!
