Happy Thursday!!!Yes, it really is Thursday

So yeah, I had a weird day yesterday. Cait ended up throwing up several more times before school yesterday, so I had to keep her home. One good thing about Gary being disabled is that he was able to stay with her, while I went out cleaning. She threw up while I was gone- I had her all set up on the sofa with a bucket. Would you believe he didn't even think to clean up the bag? Remember how we were saying that dads sleep through everything?? Well, he was awake!
She slept and watched tv on and off all afternoon, just too tired to do much else. She slept downstairs so I could hear her if she needed me, but I don't know if she is goign to be able to go to school today. She was running a fever at bedtime. Poor kid.

Anyway, I was kind of bored yesterday-it felt like i had done nothing. Then I strated to think about it. I cleaned up several puke buckets, cleaned someone else's house, did laundry and dishes and kept Caitlyn company while she was sick. My BFF lent me her book, Handle with Care by Jodie Picoult. Its autographed so I am am really "handling it with care." Then, I played on FB (Mafia wars, time killer, gah!) plus I did a bit of ACDSee work. Did some errands.... Emailed Scott's teachers- again...
I guess it was a pretty full day.

I am not working at MIL's today :( So instead I thought I would try to work on some stuff for my F-W biz. I think I am goign to try to update the website and look into my very dusty and unused Etsy shop.
And get this- my horror-scope!
Setting goals at work isn't enough; you must make your move today in order to put your good intentions into motion. The fire-starting Aries New Moon falls in your 10th House of Career, so it would be a shame to waste this powerful moment of initiation without taking direct action. Don't worry about how much you accomplish or how far along your path you actually travel. It's taking the first step

Good deal- I have the planets on my side LOLOLOL!!!

Be back for personals!

Well I have to say I managed to have a pretty uneventful day yesterday! I got a phone call from my mother at about 4 to tell me it was a girls night since the guys had tickets to see the hockey game...You know what erks me...That they didn't even ASK if we wanted to go...is there some rule book out there that says girls can't like hockey? Anyway...sorry about the rant...The hubby would have heard it but he didn't home till AFTER I had gone to bed, and I don't see him in the mornings usually! So I went home and played with my little girl on the computer a bit (which she beat me! and to think I grew up on computers, go figure!) Then I spent some time converting one of my scrapbook pages to a size that would fit my mother's computer desktop. Which Reminds me I need to send her the link so she can get it on her machine at work! :) Other than that we did home made casadia and vegged out...couldn't walk it was raining! But I get to do Yoga today so I'll try and make up for yesterdays miss today! The Big guy(baby) went to the doctor yesterday..and too funny..he is doing fine but you know those charts with the lines showing the percentiles of average and above average babies...yep well...Jordan lands not on the 97th% (the highest line) but like the 105% line! HELLO!! I think I'm gonna start calling him the HULK!

Oh the O's have been busy!! Isn't life grand!

Chris girl I still get my days mixed up since I've been back to work! I thought today was FRIDAY! Bummer huh! And ohhh I hope Cait feels better soon! Totally random story but you know I used to be one of those people that HATED throwing up until I met my neighbor. She had some kind of surgery that makes it so she physically CAN'T throw up. It would suffacate her! Can you even imagine?? I know it kinda sucks but at least once it is out you usually start up the hill to recovery! Oh and girl GET THAT REMOTE START INSTALLED! It is heaven! It was probably the only bell and whistle I really don't think I could live without anymore! At least I know my little girl would have my head if we didn't have it!:)
P.S. I did sign up for the Healthy O's!

Linda: nothing spells romance like shopping for toilets!!! ROTF!!!!

Dawn: I sure hope the migraine goes away! I got them a lot through my pregnancies so I can feel your pain!

Yam: Enjoy your visit with your Mom! Can't they be great! I got lucky and mine lives 5 houses away so we see each other and family A LOT!

Tali: Oh what a fun sounding hospital! And yep I'm sure the nurses would love seeing the boys!

Clara: Hope you enjoy your trip to the Coast! Take lots of pics and scrap them! I'd love to see it! I've never been to Oregon!

Sally: I so have to ask...how was the french toast?? And could he have been any sweeter!!!

Lia: Congrats on the Gallery Standouts! and Yippie that Apple took the blame!

Joslyn: Don't the hiccups just feel soooo funny!!

Kelly: It is nuts keeping track of everyone isn't it!! It is like our very own little Cheery-O Soaps!! hahahaha!! ooohhh I feel ya on the grocery bill! My Hubby went with me the last time and gripped...I ignored it...we spent about 800 for food (for the month for 7 people). Then he goes and has his little dinner party for his co-workers, which HE went shopping for. The SINGLE dinner he planned for 7 that night cost the boy 250 bukaroos!! I about SHOT him for giving me GRIEF! And Girl I sooo printed out that info on the Artichokes...We will give it a shot I know my mother would be game to try them with me! :) Thanks! and I know...I have been editing what we have taken and I'll get several up tonight! At least that was my plan. So they are coming SWEAR!!

Clara: Girl the Steroids are WEARING ME OUT!!! They have made me snappy, I see stars all the time and I have a He.. of a headache that I just can't shake! Oh well...5 more days to go! Count down!!!!

EVERYONE: If Any of you would like to try the tea without making it just shoot me a pm with address and I could package some up and ship it to you if you'd like...it is just a powder so I don't think it would have any problems...Just a thought.

I know that you are all just horribly jealous that Mr. Wonderful is SUCH a romantic! lol He is funny and very entertaining, romantic is not what I'd call him at all! But we have fun!
I'm way behind today....... I'm blaming Mr. Wonderful:)
I have guest speakers coming from the land grant college up the road. That will free up a little time for me to finish plopping my grades in. They are due at the end of the day and I need to finish. Woud not want to stand in the way of one of the little darlings getting their report cards! :)
Have a great day everyone!

Well the boys' appointment went really well. :) They have officially been cleared - and they don't need to go back to see the neonatologists anymore. :) They are official NICU graduates! Yay! They were happy to see that we had taken the initiative to get them some speech therapy. That is the only area they are behind in. The rest they are at their adjusted or gestational age (either 18 or 20 months). So, I'm happy. The hospital is really pretty amazing. I just hope we never have to go back. ;) We didn't get a chance to visit my nurses, which was a big letdown for me. :( We ran out of time and had to get diapers and other stuff at Target and had to get back to Beresford to get Ella from daycare in time.

Battling headache day 3. No migraines, just headaches, so I'm thankful for that. We watched Reign Over Me last night. Sad, and thought-provoking.

Chris - Poor Cait! I'm glad she is feeling better now. How do you like the book? I haven't read that one yet. I'm in the middle of "The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb. I need one to take on the plane. I'm so sorry about the PICC line!!

Linda - Good luck finishing up grades!! We remodeled our downstairs last winter, and put in a bathroom. We had a great time picking out toilets and tubs and all that. :) I think it's fun. So, I totally get that. Plus ... who can turn down a remodeled bathroom!!!!! :D MMMMM Chevy's. Man does it get better? Their mango margs are truly amazing. We ate there a few weeks ago, and I stuffed my face as usual. that is one place I always overeat. :) Can't help it!

Kristen - Sorry about the hockey game! I love hockey. it's one of the few sports I like to watch in person.

Hi all, thought it was time I popped in again. I've just been busy with life and design stuff and taxes and animals and kids and extended family, not to mention that the flu hit our house too after everything else. This has been an absolutely crazy year.

Our cat had surgery yesterday for an infection from a cat bite on her hip. I have no idea how or when she got the bite, but it swelled up huge. Thankfully, we had the funds and could do it. She is sleeping at the moment. I had to lock her in our bathroom last night because she has this drainage thing...but she is free today and boy is she mad at me for locking her up. lol

Today is my 21st anniversary and I did have plans for a really nice dinner out at Claim Jumpers, but I think instead, we are having pizza in. lol I need to recover from yesterday. It was an emotional day at the vet.

Hiya Chris, Quirky (Kristen?), Petey, Tali and anyone else that pops in.

Have a great day all. I've missed you.

Hi gals! Not really feeling great today I only ended up getting 4 hours sleep last night, both Kalin and I got Sadie's bug from the begining of the week and were up coughing and congested. We are taking it easy on the couch the rest of the afternoon with Sleeping Beauty :) and a big fort.

Hi ladies!

I swear if I don't get these lesson plans done tonight I'm going to beat myself over my head with my laptop. There are good ones and bad ones, so it's not that they are all horrible, but 47 is still a lot to read. On the plus side, we are dividing up the next two assignments so that I don't have to read 47 of anything again. On the down side, it stinkin snowed today. It didn't stick at all and now the sun is shining. But my act of defiance in wearing sandals and capris today to work didn't really pay off. har har

Chris - I totally have a crush on a guy that helps me with books for my library. It's bad. =) He was in Sioux Falls yesterday and today. In another lifetime..... I hope you get some answers on your PICC line and I hope Caitlyn feels better. And don't knock yourself...you do a ton of work everyday!!

Kristen - Wow...he's a big boy. That's great though! Sounds healthy and strong.

Oh Miss Linda - I think that spring is just several months of being behind for teachers. I'm soo behind too. (And yet, here I sit on the O instead of grading...)

Tali - I'm so glad the boys are doing sooo well. I hope your headache goes away.

Merkee - I hope your cat is doing o.k. Good to see you here!

Clara - Have fun!

Jos - Hope you are feeling better. I'm sure you are getting to the point where you are ready to be back to "yourself". =)

O.k. Dinner is ready. I will probably check back later after the lesson plans get to me. =)

always chatty at the O!!
Yay!! I got the computer all set up and can drop in and say hi. The drive down here was a lot longer than it should have been. It was a stressful morning. We had Ethan's conference at school first which went well by not so darling husband doesn't pay attention and was in the shower at the time we were supposed to be leaving. I was so mad he thought the conference was a half hour later than it was because he doesn't pay attention. Then he made a few comments about stuff not being done when he didn't even pack his own stuff until the very last minute. I was not thrilled. But now we are here and chilling out. The place we are staying at is awesome. It is a Worldmark Resort with two bedrooms and a kittchen. We brought food so we don't have to go out. It is awesome. So right now life is good.

Chris - I am so glad Cait is feeling better. Kids with the tummy stuff is always so sad and pitiful. You did have a busy day yesterday but when our mental list doesn't get touched it feels like we did nothing. Crazy how that works. That really sucks about the insurance declining the PICC. I hope it gets worked out because it is necessary.

Kristen - steroids suck...try and be thankful it isn't permanent. I can't even imagine what that would be like. It sucks for a few days and then you are all done and hopefully feeling better than before.

LindaP - report card time, huh? That was always my LEAST favorite time of year. I would hide mine and then get in all sorts of trouble. Oooops. Good luck getting those done.

Random thought...I found out recently that all the pool I grew up in (I was a springboard diver in jh and hs) are probably going to be closed because of budget cuts. It is absolutely heart breaking because I spent so much time there growing up. I understand why it is potentially necessary but it just sucks!!

Tali - Yay for the boys!! Like I tell my patients when I spend time chatting with them...it was great to meet you but please don't come back. I'm glad they don't have to come back and have been given a clean bill of health.

Merkee - Holey crazy life!! I hope things slow down soon. the sucks about your cat. We had a cat that got a bite like that but he didn't need surgery or anything. I hope the kitty is all better,

Joslyn - your family just can't catch a break with the illnesses can they?? Get better. I'm glad you have been able to rest today.

Sara - 47 plans? Wow!! that would be a bit overwhelming. I think I would be playing on the computer too. Good luck getting that finished.

To anyone else...big hugs and I'll share a huge bowl of salt water taffy with everyone. I'll have to tell you all an interesting saltwater taffy story later. have a great day.

Hi gals,

just a little note from me right now. Davy went to the vet, he does have an upper respiratory infection, without doing the expensive cultures there's no way of knowing what kind but if it's the bad kind there's nothing to be done anyway. The vet is treating him like it is the treatable kind and hoping for the best so he has a 50/50 chance. He's kind of listless tonight and feels very warm around the ears. He still eats good and drinks a lot which is good. I am so attached to him, it sounds crazy after only a few days but I'm really torn up about this. The vet said to keep him away from anyone with a weakened immune system and away from other animals so he is very contagious right now. On a good note he looooves his antibiotic LOL. He's very cuddly tonight, usually he wants to run around.

I'll try to do personals if I can, I have had so much to do tonight it's not even funny.
Love you guys!
