CHEERY O
gOod morning!
I had a really good day yesterday. Nice for a change LOL
I spent about 2 hours in the yard cleaning up sticks and acorns, and found plants growing under leaves. That is just awesome. Gary looked out the window, saw me sitting on the ground just scooping up handfuls of acorns. He asked if I was having fun- I think I looked like I was 10 years old;)

Then dinner- yum- looove corned beef and cabbage. I make it in my crock pot and the house smells delsish all day!

Laurie-- WTG on eating healthy. I am getting pretty disgusted with my weight. But I can't seem to stop eating lately. Crazy....

Linda S- oooh you weather sounds like mine!!! But no more snow for you- hope it doesn't happen.

Linda W- look at your green posting- too cute!
DMV was actually quite good-very unusual for NJ. I couldn't renew online- registration you can, license no- I had to bring my photo ID, birth/marriage certificates, SS card, proof of address, first born son hahah... Seriously it is this 6 point system, where you have to bring certain docs from different categories.
But they did let me keep my photo- so I look 37, instead of 41 :)

AndreaNyx- how have you been feeling? Did you get in to physio yet? How awesome that you are having a great time with your parents. I guess they live far?

ack- gotta get Scott moving. Why does a 13 yo boy need a 30 minute shower and 20 minutes to do his hair???

Morning all - have to remember to change the clock in this room- thought I was doing good on not spending too much time here and then- oops- an hour later than I thought. Oh well, it is my day off. Lots to do and the promise of sunshine- oh yea- grilled dinner tonight

chris- I was eating everything in sight and decided it was time to make some changes- so I'm slowly working at getting healthier- the sunny days have helped. Maybe I will promise myself more goodies from the O for pounds lost!

AndreaNYX- good luck with PT today & enjoy the parent visit

Hi ladies!!!

Better get a move on...I have been lurking and not typing...

It's going to be 70 degrees here today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!!!!! Me and my babies are out of this house today...walking is on the agenda!!

My house does not feel that warm at the moment...our gas went out in the night....gotta get that taken care of...we have no hot water either

Hope they can fix it today..quick!!

I do have a space heater, so running that right now to warm it up for the babies...but should be able to cut that off quickly...

Okay...better run...I will check back later!!

oooooh boy! Back for a few- got scott off to school - he was in such a good mood *fingers crossed it lasts*
He found a garter snake and asked to keep it as a pet- he is so happy. I am not thrilled with having a snake in the house, but it is in the basement. he and Gary made a cage for it, and he is excited about something. That is worth any possibility of having it get loose and crawl on me unexpectedly LOL

Got my laundry put away/prepped for taking the next load to MIL's, scooped all the litter boxes, and am working on the icky doggie doody lawn. That is the worst part of melting snow! Eww! TMI!
I am going to get Cait to the bus then I am off to work.

Clara- That neighbor situation is so wacky. Just be careful, K? Keep your eyes and ears open. I love and adore how you want to help them, but please make sure that you and your family are safe too.

Laurie-- I had signed up for sparks people a while ago- maybe you are the inspiration I need to get back on it!

oh Kat! What a crazy day- I say to use the liquid energy to help you get more organized hahah! Great news about Nick (not that I am surprised with you as his mama!!)

AndreaNyx- Good luck today!

And I see everyone is in posting while I have been running around

xoxoxo to everyone- sounds like the weather is doing good for all of us!!!

chris- yeah for scott - ick for the snake, but I hear you on using it as a tool to help him see the bright side of life! Right now I am enjoying getting more sparkpoints- need 500 to buy a "dance lesson" I'm hoping by the end of next week. I need to do this for me- that is truly my goal- looking good well, that too- when i look in the mirror I am always surprised, because in my mind I am thinner- ...

Hi everyone, it just dawned on me that I haven't really said publicly, here, what is going on with me or why I've been MIA. Sorry about that. I've been dealing with a very ill father since December.

We just this month finally got an accurate diagnosis for my father of Crohn's disease. We originally thought it was Diverticulitis. He is also suffering from an altered mental state which we can't address until the Crohn's is under control because a lot of his medications also affect the mental state. :( So we are on a rollercoaster ride but hopefully things will smooth out soon. He is starting a new treatment next week that supposedly is very effective in managing his disease. I pray it works.

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and let you know that I am still around but just don't have the time or energy to play these days. I miss everyone and peek in here once in a while just to see what you are up to. ;)

Hugs & Love,

Good morning ladies!!

I hope everyone had a great St. Paddy's Day. I picked Addie up and she had green streaks in her hair. The girl who was watching her used kool-aid to do it. It was fun. Addie thought it was great. Poor Derek had to miss it and do a stupid over night Army duty and babysit the barracks. Why grown adults need a babysitter is beyond me, but that's how it works. I went next door and ate some corned beef, cabbage and some green ice cream since our Irish feast has been rescheduled for tomorrow night. Then I brought the kids home put them to bed amazingly easy and did some scrapping. It was nice. I stayed up a little bit late (I reset the timers to stay up a little later than usual). It was fun.

Tonight is piano night so busy busy. But it will be okay. I am hoping for a calm weekend, but we have a lot to do around the house. Everything is painted and now we have pretty clean carpets. Now it is time for everything to go back on the walls and where it goes. It will be time consuming say the least. Our biggest problem is staying on task or even getting on task. Wish us luck.

Chris - Don't you worry about me. I have the neighbor situation in check. As soon as I knew what had happened next door I immediately found alternate care for Addie, before I even addressed the situation. Then when I was talking to my neighbor's sister I was telling her my first answer if there is ever an issue with the daughter is to call the police. Zero hesitation. I don't care who I piss off or upset. If my family is in danger you better believe I will do what I think is necessary to protect them. End of story. I explained that to my neighbor too. She was really hurt that I immediately found an alternate place for Addie to be and said she just made a mistake. I just explained to her that I love her, and completely understand but I have to protect my family first. So, don't you worry about me. I care very much for people and will go above and beyond for them but I also know when to reel in and say this is not okay and I can't let this fly. I love you, but that just was not okay. I don't get walked on by very many people. My family can get away with a lot attitude wise but not in their actions. Thanks for worrying about me. It means a lot to me.

Chris - that is kinda cool about the snake. It would be cooler if it were a soft cuddly rabbit or something, but like you said you cut your losses and are happy that he's happy. Just make sure to check that cage before you go to bed at night. Ick!!

Laurie - yummy grilled dinner. A grilled salmon sounds excellent. That's what I want today. I wish it were fishing season, only for the salmon though. Actually fishing season isn't so bad. It is duck season I hate. But Derek could go gactch us a fish and put it on the grill for dinner and that would be awesome. Soon, soon. Awesome job at motivating to be healthy.

LindaW - wasn't it snowing there just a couple of weeks ago? Wow! Quite the climate change. Good thing it is warm out since you have no heat. What a pain to have to deal with that.

Merkee - Sending you lots of prayer and good thoughts. I hope everything gets figured out quickly and you get your dad back in a way that you remember him soon.

Okay ladies. I'm outta here!

men can I just say sometimes they are so- well men (yeah that would be my mr. gorgeous) why is it they expect you to listen to what they say, but can't/won't listen when you try to talk to them and basketball is on- not even his team. Anyways I'll tell you guys - I entered 8 photos in a contest at work- the contest will raise funds for Rhetts syndrome- so it was worth the $ 4 entry fee for each photo- lets see 3 beach landscapes, 2 flowers and 3 kids- yup that is 8. A photographer will judge in each category and if I twist my co-workers arms they might help me win the popular vote- costs 50 cents to vote. But the most exciting part was that the lady working on this asked me if I was a member of the local camera club and gave me the info- I've tried before to find out about it, but never made it to a meeting. Guess I will try for next month.

We will listen Laurie. That is so cool about the photo contest! I wish we could vote for you. I hope your photos rock the contest. What a great compliment being asked if you were part of the club. That is very cool. Keep us posted.

And I agree...boys are dumb. (I can't bring myself to call them men when they are being dumb)

Laurie...what a neat idea! Can't wait to hear how it turns out..and so neat that you have the info on the camera club!

Merkee, I'm glad that they have the diagnosis. Praying that they can get it under control quickly and move on to the mental state. ((hugs)) for being a good daughter

Chris, I would hate having a snake in my house. But, if it would help with the situation...I know we would have the silly snake! ((hugs)) for being a good mom

Beautiful day here too Laurie. So Brian's fixing cheeseburgers on the grill. I'm soooo excited!

Linda W....I hope you got the gas fixed.

Clara...are you back to reality after the cruise? Sounds like you had a good night last night. Congrats on getting scrapping time!
