wow 2 sites full of posts, congratulations now I need also to open oscraps 3 times

I have a question, can someone tell me why are so many americans so religios, going into groups and churches and such things, we german dont do that very often, mostly the older people, I mean really old people, 70 years and higher

@Andrea: its so funny to read, english with your german words included, like that you remembered them. whats up with your knödel? did they taste like you ate them in germany? :) MC Donalds - oh yes we have a real high standard, every week they have controls for their food, everything has to be fresh, not older than 5 minutes and such things. hmm not sure if germany sells Apfelschorle, I know that austria is doing it, but he can do it on his own only take apple juice and mix it up with mineral water, thats all
but I hate such things with mineral water in it, cant drink it, the same with coke. how long is it ago, you were here in germany, coz you remember so many things.

@snappy: hmm why Im a beaver, had to look up in the dictionary, but I think this is an american phrase and I dont know it, can someone explain it pls, coz im not a beaver :D

@all: Its nearly 9am and Amelie is still sleeping, but I think only for half an hour, then she will wake up like everyday. Yesterday evening I hosted my speedscrap like every wednesday, but some of the ladies made me a little bit angry. most of them are beginners in scraping and one oft those beginners told me, my layout would be nice, but my pictures are so boring, I should work them (mean recolor, or alter or anything). Next time im thinking of, that I scrap my layout, give it to them and tell them, do it this way. lol  much much easier for me, and I will have more time for crying Amelie in the evenings.
sry for being a nuisance, but I needed to tell that anybody, and you are my o family, lol:D

wish everybody a nice morning, Im looking through the other posts and then going off to pack our suitcases and search for my webcam, to bring it to my mom, so that she can see Amelie everyday and not like now, only every month

Hugs Cornelia

Good morning Cornelia and the ooo's!

I am so sorry to hear that Amelie keeps crying. I had both of my kids like that. Cried non-stop. Scott had colic and Caitlyn had relux. They never slept for more than a half hour at a time and they screamed almost constantly. I had my tubes tied a year after I had Caitlyn- there was no way I can do that again!

But the good thing is that they grew out of it and are fab kids (and good sleepers!)
Have a happy and safe trip!

Yesterday was another one of my insane and wacky days. I had one of those mornigns where everything went wacky- like i dropped the bag of cat litter on my way to the garbage, the sunroof on my car is leaking and had huge puddles in the front, so I couldn't take my car to the orthodontist appt.
I get to the ortho, and we decide that the invisalign trays are not going to work any more on my teeth, and I need to go into metal braces. As much as I look completely ridiculous, I didn't go through a year of braces (the second time- once as a teen, now as an adult) only to still have crooked teeth!
So the ortho tells me to come back in an hour and a half to put them on. So I go to clean for an hour, back to the ortho, then bcak to finish cleaning.

My cleaning client is the sweetest lady, but is like me- can't remeber anything if it isn't written down. So she forgot I was coming and didn't get to pick up before hand (she is like Sally- cleans for the cleaner LOL) and didn't put the dog away. The dog is a sweetie, but *hates* the vaccuum. That makes it really hard to clean around him.
Then he needed to go outside and didn't want to come back in. I grabbed a cookie, and called him but I didn't know what the "word" was- So I am calling, Oswald, Cookie! Treat! Biscuit! hahahah!

I'll tell ya, by the time I got home I was wrecked.

Today will be a better day! (except for the pouring rain, the wet car and that I have to work...)
:D:D:D

Good Morning Cornelia!!

First things...."Busy Beaver" is a VERY NICE compliment!! It's a saying we use when someone has been working so hard!! Like you did on your site yesterday!! We love you Cornelia!! Only compliments coming from anyone here!!!:p:p

Personals:

Cornelia- hope that your weather cools off!

Dawn- oh no-- effexor is not good to come off of like that. BTDT with the SSRI/benzo's. Try calling the manufacturer and explain the situation and see if they can send you some to tide youover. If not, sometimes our pharmacy will "loan" us out a few pills until we can get the Rx covered. You cannot be feeling good at all... are you getting the zaps?

I know this is a political hot button, but I *hate* that health care is something that only some people can afford. Or like in my case, I need to be so far below the poverty line to even qualify for enough assistance (which I hate having to do as well!). I don't agree that health insurance/pharma should be putting profits over people.
/end rant

Sandra- Congrats hon!!!!! I thrilled for you!!!
Biting is so tough in day care. I hope that they can do something to solve this quickly. As for the bites itself, if M is up on his shots, esp tetanus, he shoudl be fine. I got bit a few times while I was teaching, one time really badly. I needed a tetanus shot booster for that one!
I love your wish- I'd love a money tree too!

Clara- how is Ethan? You might have updated us, but I haven't gotten that far down- lots of posts yesterday! Hope he is better. Have you tried Airborne for him? That seems to help.
You crack me up- saying ow w/ every shot! I hope that the allergy shots get you feeling better quickly!

Hi Sally! Glad you had another fun CC day- and yay YMG is home!!

Jacqueline- Happy canada day! Oh yeah, I am a chatter box here LOL Good to have you with us!

LindaW- ITA! You guys are my therapy!! I should be paying you for listening to me babble and rant!

Clara! LOLOL! Crazy- that sure descibes us all!!!

Linda W-- doesn't it stink that a good vac is so expensive? But the woman I used to clean with swore by her Kenmore!
The kids get full dental on our Medicaid plan, and at first Gary and I didn't. That was when I made $1000/month. when my salary got cut to $500/mo we then qualified as Plan A which gets us his diabetes supplies and dental too. So yes, you have to be *poor* to get any decent coverage. And yes, the dentist I have to go to is about 45 minutes away.

Dawn-- hey girl- so good to see you here!! Not a problem for small posts- I am here (and clara LOL) to keep the chatting to a small roar LOL

Andrea- woot for feeling good!! LOL @ Donna Reed! I am so glad that you have "Army Wives" support. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to do all of this on your own. ((((hugs!))))

Hi Davy-luv!

Sara- I *hate* when that happens!!!
ITA with what you said to Dawn.

LindaP- so proud of you! I know you could do it! I'll have to check out your blog!

Tali (((((((((((hugs)))))))) I so hear ya on not being able to function :( Sendinglove your way!
pls feel better!!

And now that I spent way too long on the computer, goot get off to work!

xoxoxox

Tali---((((((hugs))))) and wishes for no bright lights. I totally empathize with you. I saw you mention chiropractor...careful with that. Not only for possible injury but they tend to just keep you coming back for the $$. not like the old days when you could just go to one of the good ole docs for a quick 'adjustment'. A really, good, hour long massage really helped me this last time, I had her concentrate on my neck and shoulders mostly then came home for a nice warm shower and bed. Course, this is what worked for me that time and unfortunately there's no fail-proof treatment :( I know how it is when you get desperate with these things, I don't even want to mention the thoughts I've had.

I just want you feeling better! xoxoxoxo

Sara, Chris-yes ma'am(s), I do know better, LOL. Got my refill yesterday :), courtesy of DH. I knew if I left the bottles on the counter long enough he'd get the point ;).
Hopefully this next month will start to get better financially for me, things aren't usually so tight. Really irks me that DH has the money but I'm too stubborn and don't want to fight so I won't ask him haha. thank you for caring :).

Hello Ladies:D

So....who has GREAT plans for the 4th?? We don't...We are leaving on Monday for our Vaca...only going for 4 days...but I am happy to get away!!

I just seem to be having a hard time here with this post...so I am just going to say that I hope you all have a fabulous day!! and I am going!!:D

Cornelia-and you're an early bird that gets up with the chickens LOL! Sorry, I forget the language thing sometimes, you have to overlook me :). I hope Amelie has a better day with the crying :(. I remember how frustrating that is, and don't miss it at all (my kids are 23 and almost 25 now). I hope you have a great day!

Chris-hope today is not so crazy for you! Heck, as young as you look you probably can pass for a teen with braces now! Ugh, sorry that it's raining. Have a great day!

LindaW-hellooooO my friend :), how are you today?

I hope everyone has a great day! I'm headed out. I just put Davy back in his cage and he threw a temper tantrum, took his food bowl off it's shelf and threw it down to the bottom of the cage spewing rabbit food everywhere. He always does that when he's 'mad' LOL. I just loooove him :).

Love you all and hope to see you this evening....after dinner with grandparents. xoxoxoxo

Happy Thursday Lovely O's! Yesterday was busy and long! 8-5 at school working on schedules! Just when we think we have the schedule working well we find another conflict and have to make a change, or find something we thought another had changed and discover that the error is still there and here we are putting kids in classes that don't exist. So - those kids will have to be re-done. We are getting close we started with seniors and are now working through the freshmen!
Today is mowing day, looks like rain here Friday, Saturday and Sunday:( Hopefully it won't mess up Fourth of July plans! Unsure what our plans are, our neighbors - with more money than the almighty (they have their own windmill for electricity!)- are "hiring" a fireworks professional to do their show! We may go there or just sit on our deck and watch from home:) My bet is that we'll stay home and work on the house. We are getting close to being done with the remodel, but there's still a lot to do.
Well, I'm off to get on the ellyptical climber for a while before the grass dries enough to mow. Have a wonderful day O's!

Cornelia - I'm so jealous of your impending vacation. I would love to go back to Austria sometime!
So sorry to hear that people were rude to you during your speed scrap! I love speed scraps, I'll have to check out your schedule and try to make the next one.

Chris - so funny - your story about the dog:) You crack me up! How long will you have to wear the braces? Hopefully it won't be too long the second time around!

Oh Dawn! a massage would be wonderful! I count my lucky stars that I've never had bad headaches. I feel so horrible for those of you that do!

Dawn I do that too, try to scrape by on "my money" rather than asking Mr. Wonderful. Not sure why I do that............

hmmmmmm a rabbit with a temper.......... It appears that there is never a dull moment at your house since Davy moved in!

Jeepers ladies! It's only 8 a.m. here and you've got two pages already!! Normally, I only have Chris and maybe LindaW to respond to by now. =)

First thing....Ben slept all night in underwear and didn't have an accident!!!! Yay!!!!!!

Ok....Corneila - I'm so sorry you little girl keeps crying so much. That's rough. I also sympathize with you on your scrap page. I once got a comment on a layout here that basically said my cropping on my page was not good. It's amazing how that hurts when you are being creative.

Chris - I'm sorry your day was wonky yesterday. Hopefully today will be better. Braces stink I know, but think how good you'll feel when they are off again. =) (Focusing on the bright spot for you.)

Dawn - Good girl. I'm glad you got your medicine. Have a good day and I hope that Davy doesn't cause you too much grief today. =)

LindaW - After my experience last night with my posts, it's a good idea to not write a big long post and then lose it.....twice. =) Have a good day.

Linda P - I hate scheduling...it's a PITA. How are your Macs? I <3 my Mac. I hope you have fun mowing and I hope it doesn't rain. I haven't listened to the forecast for here in a couple of days. But it was supposed to be rainy Saturday night.

I am having lunch with friends later, but I'm trying to decide what to do in the mean time, I have a variety of things I could/should do and several books that are calling my name. I love summer. =)

Sara - I completely kwym about scheduling!
What's on your reading list? I read My Sister's Keeper a few weeks ago and just finished a smut novel by Kathleed Woodiwiss. My plan is to re-read Harry Potter six before uly 15th when the movie comes out. I need to go see Angels and Demons - LOVED that book! I've also got the Boelyn (sp)Inheritance waiting for me.

good to now that busy beaver is a compliment thanks, like that word, sounds cute ;)

im little bit tired now, coz had 3 hours no internet, coz my comp was stupid, so Im not sure if i can remember all I have been reading, but I will try

about the speedscrap, Im hosting it in a german forum, so there would be language problems Im sure, but if it would like more people to join in I can do one at oscraps for you all but then at the weekend, coz of the time difference.

Amelie is now sleeping more than 2 hours, completly strange, was looking several times at her, if everything is okay, but she is still breathing and sleeping, so went out of the room quiet.

lol I had so much time, and what was I doing, looking arround lol, instead of packing my suitcases,

Morning, girlies!!

Today is going to be wonderful!! I've just decided that!!! I really need to get myself together...So, hopefully I can tear myself away from the computer long enough to start making and list and then doing it!! :)

So i posted my "patriotic" pic in the Spotlight thread...I know it's gonna make all of you totally LAUGH!! but when I created this challenge, i kept thinking of this picture!! I will do another, too, so I'm using my camera again this week!! actually I did a photo shoot with my kids yesterday that turned out great!! the lighting was perfect, but I didn't think about the fact that it was right after country club and Quentin, although in his swiming suit, hadn't put his shirt back on. So after seeing the last episode of Raising the Bar, I probably won't post the ones that are of him posing with his 'six-pack" - yup, gymnast with abs! LOL!!

OKAY, all you readers out there!! I just joined a Book Club on a Homeschooling Site and we are reading that book I was telling Sara about called Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society. It is sooo fabulous! An easy read and very entertaining and engaging!! You would all love it!! :)

Anybody read the classic The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton? I just got it (cause B&N had a buy two, get one free sale - cora and i are always sucked in by that!! LOL) and wonder if it's okay??? LOL!!

off for personals...

Cornelia! hugs to you and to little Amelie (I love her name!!). To answer your first question, Americans are definitely a mixed bunch as far as religion/politics and all. But for the most part, our country was founded on Judeo/Christian principles. The first people in our country were pilgrims who left Europe because of religious persecution. Now, the tenets of our government basically say that we have the freedom to pursue any religion that we want. So people do just that. At the risk of ruffling feathers (another american saying meaning "irritating people"), I think less and less people are taking advantage of this freedom (ie, going to church). But it is encouraging to hear you say that! Even if it is just an observation of yours! :) Everyone here knows that I am a Christian and have very strong beliefs and I'm willing to chat with you about it at anytime! :) An open forum can get pretty hairy when politics and religion are talked about, so feel free to PM me at any time with any question or comment you have! :) {{{hugs}}} glad you got to enjoy some time while Amelie slept today! :)

Chris, so sorry about your client not cleaning up first!!! ahahahah...my maids cringe when they see me frantically doing dishes when they arrive!! :) and the braces!!! WOW!! enjoy those straight teeth, hun!! :) I can't even begin to talk about teeth, really...it's too, uh, painful!! LOL!! have a great day, hun! :)

Dawn!!!!!!!!! goodness, we may need to start a meds accountability group to make sure we are all doing our drugs!! (ohhh that sounds terrible!!) I love your story about Davy throwing a tantrum!! sounds like my kids at one point! LOL!!!! have a great day, babe!!

LindaP, ohhhhhh and I thought I was busy!! omgosh, girlie!! You win!! :) Send some of that rain down here, please, so we can play with fireworks here, too!! :) HUGS!!!

Sara, ohhhh you need to plop down and read, read, read!!! :) Enjoy your lunch and CONGRATS to Ben!!! He's growing up...and if I didn't tell you before, you will not have a child in college in diapers!! (i just realized this the other day...it was liberating! LOL) love ya!!!

just wanted to pop in quickly to say hello! we're leaving in about 15 mins... I'll post when I get back on Sunday!

@sally: lol yes Amelie, I wanted to call here Amalia, this was my first thought, now I think this name would sound a little bit old, and michael wanted to call her Emily, so we decided to put both names together and call her Amelie, crazy I know :D but it was a very short desicion, took us only 5 minutes for finding a great name for our darling

oh and I dont want to talk here about religion and politics, sry, dont want any quarrels  was only a question that came to my mind

because of your picture when I saw it, my first thought was, this is what tv tells us about america, so your pic is so great for this challenge:D

@Sandra: wish you a nice weekend, hugs

@sally again: wow what a great blog, I linked you, amazing your hybrid projects love them, would be glad to join such a stamping night sounds so great, never have done that before, but I live too far away:mad:

Good morning ladies (well, it's morning here in South Dakota, anyway). My migraine feels a tad better today, so I'm going to take advantage of it. But, probably won't be taking the kids outside. I'll wait until Eric is home and he can take them out. I need 4 pairs of sunglasses to make the sunlight manageable. ;)

I am wishing I had some 4th of July plans, but, this is one of the busiest weekends for Eric's job (he manages a state park here, so it is FULL with campers already!) so he works very long hours (10 am to 2 am) and just isn't home at all. But, I may load up the kids myself and take them to see some fireworks.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day. :)
