Wow everyone you are all so kind and supportive here. What a wonderful group :) funny there is 2 Dawn's here as I don't see many with the same name in digiland. I am glad to here u were able to get the medication u needed. Corniela my babies would cry at the same time evening when they were small and it was very challenging. I would sometimes have to give them a bath late at night to calm them. So sorry u r having to deal with that challenge.

Clara I am in Bellingham Washington visiting my dh family for the holiday. This is a 2.5 hr drive from Tacoma. I have not heard of the town you r going to.

I hope u all have a wonderful day. It is sunny and warm here today which is rare lol. I will be running after my two little ones while the dh is playing golf:)

Holy Moly!! Aren't you guys a talkative bunch today. A nice full post and I haven't even joined in yet. Wow!! So today I finally got Ethan back to his day camp. He is feeling much better. Although my feathers got all ruffled when I dropped him off because of the lovely barista lady. I have a seperate post for that rant...Bikini Baristas

So last night we had some friends over for dinner. I usually have my small group on Wednesdays but one of the girls was going on vacation so we cancelled it. So instead we had dinner. It was a lot of fun. We ate salmon, drank wine, talked and talked. It was great. Speaking of my small group...

Cornelia - in answer to your question about church and church groups I had a reply to that along with Sally. One thing I noticed different in the US compared to Europe is that in the US there are a lot less Catholic Churches here in proportion to the population. Not to say that Catholics do not have bible study groups and what not...but a lot of the different denominational churches use small groups as a major part of their teachings along with the weekly services. So even though there are definately other denominations besides catholocism in Europe, it is the main church in Europe, where in the US it isn't the predominant church...so the whole dynamic of religion, especially Christian religions is just a little bit different. Plus like Sally said the whole "Freedom of Religion" aspect of the US has changed how religion is perceived and treated here. I have also noticed that the scrapping community has a higher percentage of spiritual people among us(this is not any kind of proven thing, I just see it more here than in my everyday life). I know that was wordy and I hope I got my point across...Sally feel free to reword what I am trying to say because I have a feeling you know what I am trying to say and you are better at making your point than my rambly self. Lol!!

So...4th of July plans. I am going to have a busy busy weekend. I have tomorrow off. Whoohoo!! Not that it matters since I have only worked 2 days this week. Wouldn't it be nice to collect a paycheck and not actually work? How cool would that be? Back to plans...Tomorrow we are going to Emerald Downs, which is a horse racing track. The racing is fun, but then at the end they have an awesome fireworks display. Last eyar Addie was horrified by the fireworks, and she freaked out. So we'll see how she does this year. Also...everyone...be careful of the sparklers that have the paper at the end. Last year Addie had one of those and the paper flew off the end and onto her face leaving her with a nice pink birn spot for several months. So, if you use those rip the paper at the end off. Once again...back to my plans...Then after the races we will head up to my parents for the night. then the next day we will head out to a friend's property and play at their lake and let off fireworks. It should be a lot of fun. I'm excited. It should be a lot of fun.

So, onto a more serious note. I got an e-mail from my sister this morning because she she has started dwelling on the fact that I do not have her listed as the guardian of my children in case of a horrific accident leaving my kids parentless. We have chosen my brother (we have a long family history and we are not actually related) instead. This really upsets my sister since she knows this and I don't know how to address it. If any of you have a situation anything like this can you PM me and help me figure out how to discuss this delicately with her. I hate her feeling hurt, but I stand by my decision, ya know??

Well...I think I shall get on to some personals. I'll put them in a seperate post though. Love you guys!! Have a fantastic 4th of July!!

Bellingham should be lots of fun. I don't go there very often but I always love it when I do, it isn't too big but big enough to have plenty going on. Monroe is East of Everett on the way to Stevens Pass, if that makes sense. I was going to say if you weren't going too far you should look into the races at Emerald Downs. They are always so much fun. Oh, random question I just thought of...my dh and a friend of ours were debating yesterday if there was an rei garage sale this weekend. Know anything about this??

Clara u sound busy! Yes I think I know now where Monroe is. I have been to the Emerald downs a while ago for my 10 yr high school reunion. Sounds like fun to go there for the fourth. We r going to have a BBQ I am not sure about the fireworks yet.

Okay...personals...I had to write everything down today. I usually just do some scrolling, but not today. So....

Cornelia - don't you worry about asking any questions, whether about religion or an American phrase. Don't misunderstand Sally, religion is spoken about here. We all love that there are so many different people with different beliefs. We just don't discuss the particulars about our beliefs, generally but stuff comes up and it isn't a big deal. This is a safe zone and everybody is awesome about respecting boundries. If you ever aren't sure about something and want to ask something specific a good answer is to just send somebody a Private Message (PM). Just use your judgement. It was interesting around election time because we had lots of different ideas about who our president was and we were able to discuss it somewhat we are just careful not to attack each other.

Cornelia - That is great that Amelie is sleeping good. One thing you are going to find id that the one thing that is always consistant with babies is that they are not always consistant. When they are teething, growing, not feeling well or whatever, their schedules start changing. That is horrible that someone would make a comment like that at your speed scrap. that is completely inappropriate. POst your LO here in the gallery so we can give you some love on it. Make sure to give us the link so it doesn't get lost. I've seen some of your LOs and you are a gorgeous scrapper. Not every LO gets to be ideal, especially in things like challenges and speed scraps. The great thing about both of those is that it takes us out of our element so that we grow as scrappers. I know some of my favorite LOs are ones that I thought were going to come out bad. So I say :p

Brace face...I mean Chris- lol!! I love that you have braces. For one, Ijust know it is making you look lots younger. And for 2 it is something that in the long run is going to make you feel better. It may not make your body feel better when you are in pain, but you'll look in the mirror and know that you have an amazing smile and that you put the work in to get it that way (although your smile rocks already). I totally agree with you about healthcare. I have seen both sides of healthcare...privatized insurance and socialized healthcare. There has to be a middle ground. When I had Ethan in Italy there was no question that I was going to have him in an American facility. The care was just better, but the medicine is also viewed differently. It is hard to explain in a quickish post...but I do wish there was a way to get everybody good healthcare but give people some of the options of privatized medicine. The costs of medical care in the US is unreal. there was doctor in Italy that worked with my husband. He was a family practice doc and he made about the same as my husband did as an E-4, which is not a lot of money, especially compared to American standards. It is so weird. I will definately try some airborne for Ethan. I never think about stuff like that.

Tali - your poor head. Atleast you know how to get through your days. I don't think I'd be able to leave my bed...and to be a temporary single parent for this weekend makes you a rock star. That is too bad that you dh has to be so busy. I hope you guys find something great to do.

Dawn - I have never seen or heard of a bunny throwing a tantrum. That is hilarious. I really wish me and my DH could seperate out our money. I just don't know how we would make it work. Money is always a sore subject for us...it has its ups and downs, but it always comes up. I'm glad he got your prescription filled. I need to take my pills...I've been pretty bad lately too. I just keep forgetting to grab them.

LindaW - Where are you going on vaca?? Although we have lots of little trips planned until then, I don't get my big one until next February/March when we go on a cruise. I am quite excited about that. About 240 days to go!!

@createwing: no problem, nearly everybody is writing my name in the wrong way, but that doesnt really matter

@clara: I know what you mean, was only asking, coz never was talking with so many different people talking about there life, and its really interesting to get all those things known.

lol here is my layout from the speedscrap, its since yesterday evning in the gallery.

wow its so silent here, Amelie was crying in her bed over an hour, I think she fell asleep, have to go and take a look, maybe will be back later

Hugs everybody

LindaP - congrats on your debut yesterday. I hope it went well. I checked it out and you have some awesome stuff. What does nddids stand for?? School schedules sound like a pain in the butt. I never realized how much work went into them. I hope the rain goes away for you guys.

LindaP/Chris - So, I saw that you guys were both readers of My Sister's Keeper. That was the first and only Jodi Piccoult book I ever read. It was way too heart wrenching for me. I'm interested to see how the movie comes out though. How do you guys manage to read all those sad books?? I have to stick with happy stuff.

Sara - whoohoo on Ben not wetting his bed. I did not have such good luck with Addie last night. She was so sure she needed to get to bed in panties but wet the bed. She did not want to switch but I think she is liking being a "big girl" and being told that so often. She is still having lots of accidents, well not a lot, just one a day, but she is on her way. Sunday morning she got out of bed and I told her she didn't get anymore diapers. She was not happy but she's been pretty good about it since then. Yay for potty training. Keep us updated on his progress. Sounds like him and Addie are in similar spots.

Sally - Yay!! I am so glad that ymg is back home with you. That is great that it was such a short trip this time. I'll need to check out your LO. That is funny about the family pics. Quinn has a little six pack, huh? I was like that at his age. Now I have one of those keg stomachs. lol!!

Sandra - Have a blast on your trip. Where are you going? Drive safe and all that. When do you start working again??

Okay ladies...I think I got everyone. I hope you all have a fantastic 4th!!

you wont believe it what happend, i was sitting in the living room in front of my notebook surfing arround, but everywhere was that strange smell, if something would burn, my first thought was my notebook is burning, but the house next to our house is burning, I woke Amelie up, everywhere was smoke and it smelled horrible, then we left the house.
now its not much better, but Amelie got angry because we woke her up so we went back home, now she is laying beside me, and beside the open window to get some fresh air.

Hey everyone! wow!! there is like 5 pages of posts!!! It's Friday morning here and I am at work and it has taken me ages to get through all the posts this morning.!!! Its a beautiful day here but with a very strong and gusty southerly wind blowing........not good for the sinuses at all!!! Nothing planned for the weekend but I do hope to get some work done in my neglected garden!! The main garden is away from the house, around the shed where we first lived when we moved out to this property, so I don't get down there much, only when I am doing the laundry. DH calls it the jungle so I had best get down and do some pruning before he takes it into his head to do some himself!! then I would be left with a barren piece of ground!!! lol!!

Well there is no way I can do all the personals, that would take me forever and I have a teleconference in about 30mins! So to EVERYONE, LindaW, Dawn &Davey, Cornelia, Clara, Chris, Sara, LindaP, Sandra (congrat on the job!), Tali, Dawn, Kayleigh (hi there), Kelly (where are u?? :)) and anyone else I may have missed.... have a fabulous Friday tomorrow and a wonderful 4th of July to those that celebrate it. Love to all and have a nice night!! xoxox

Wowzers!!! There is alot of chatting going on today!! could you imagine if we were all in the same room together??!! :D:D

I will have to wait on the personals too...not enough time tonight...I have to run back out and pick up a few things...We have a lot on the "to do" list tomorrow. The least of which is cleaning and washing....I am one of those people who has to have the house in perfect order before I go out of town, so it won't be a mess when I get home....LOL...don't know why, I am not sooo uptight like that any other time...and as soon as you bring everything in from the car...INSTANT MESS!! I really have mellowed out about the house since the grandbabies came along...I was bad when my kids were little...constantly running around cleaning up after them...putting everything in it's absolute place...I have learned the hard way, that those things are just not as important...I am a bit of a clean freak (the dirt) but the MESS just doesn't bother me as much!!

Clara...we are going to TN...we are taking Cameran with us...DOLLYWOOD!! LOL...Leaving the Blue Ridge Mountains to go to the Smokey Mountains!!

To all my O family (((HUGS))) and good night!! or Morning Cornelia and Ona!!

Just when we think we have the schedule working well we find another conflict and have to make a change, or find something we thought another had changed and discover that the error is still there and here we are putting kids in classes that don't exist.

oooh, Linda! If I were still in school I don't think I would complain much at being put in a class that doesn't exist LOL. Wonder what kind of grade I could get ?!

Hiya, Ona!!! How are you? Funny, we're having some kind of strong winds here, too, in Ky. DH and I rode the bike to meet my grandparents this evening and I felt like I'd been tossed around in a cyclone by the time I got there LOL.

Hope you and yours have a lovely weekend!

mwwaaauuuh!! You're such a doll :). Too funny 'doing our drugs' hehehe.

He [davy] is something else, that's for sure, who'd have thunk rabbits would have personality? haha

Have a great evening/weekend/holiday, Sally!

Money is always a sore subject for us...it has its ups and downs, but it always comes up. I'm glad he got your prescription filled. I need to take my pills...I've been pretty bad lately too. Separate $$ has been a lifesaver for us, marital saver rather, LOL. I'm a spender , he's a saver(unless it's for his $#%^@@ bike haha). He wanted me to acct for every last penny. We still argue some but not near as bad. After this issue is resolved I'm going to be much more careful. If/when I ever get this bloomin' car paid for it will be sooooo wonderful, seriously, what the heck was I thinking (wasn't apparently) haha.

Have a wonderful weekend, Clara!

Soooo, on my agenda for tomorrow...supposed to get my hair done :(, don't see that happening right now haha. Dang priorities anyway! 2 more wks of gray/brown roots for me.

I'm tearing apart mine and Davy's room. We've got a spider or some kind of biting buggy problem. It's not fleas, he nor Sassy have 'em. Whatever it is leaves kinda big bumps and OMGosh they itch like crazy. I already took down my curtains (15 yr old curtains LOL) and threw them away, no hope for 'em. Took my bed apart and washed everything. Tomorrow I'm going to clean off my paper-scrapping/rubberstamping table, and my printer table where all of my cardstock is. I've been piling stuff on top of stuff and it looks horrible! Now that Davy can get up on the tables it's time to organize, pretty soon everything will have bunny bites out of it LOL.

I'm going to go through the closet and just do a major clean-out/up and redo. I need to get my paper scrap stuff together and get rid of it (I've been saying that for 2 yrs, so much of the stuff is new). After all of that is done I plan to rip up the carpet and put down some kind of tiles, paint the walls (sometime in the next month or so). I think I'll paint them bright, happy colors but who knows, I'll probably chicken out and go neutral, haha. Hopefully, I can rabbit proof a little better and finally get the cords to the computer and tv fixed where Davy can't chew them anymore.

Then after cleaning up the junk, I'm going to do a bug bomb in this room. Me and the Davester will have to move into the living room for tomorrow night. Then I can wash walls and vacuum.

That's my Friday plan so far. Fun, fun. No telling what all I will 'find' that I have forgotten I had, that's what always takes so long for me. I start looking at stuff and time flies by and I don't get anything done! hahaha

Anyhow.....enough 'bout that :). What's everyone else doing tomorrow?

Good gravy. I can't believe we hit six pages of posts in the daily's today! Holey Moley.

Couple of notes:
Dawn (& Clara): My aunt lives in Bellingham. It sounds like a nice place.
Other Dawn - You make me smile. =)
Clara - They do sound like they are in similar places. I fully expected to wake up in the middle of the night and have to change sheets and underwear...but it didn't happen last night. =) Woo-hoo!
Linda - I have to see both of those movies as well. And I have a long list of "to reads" though 99.9% of it is kid stuff for school. I do have a Jodie Picoult book that is sitting in my basket and has been sitting there for a year. And I'm going to have to add the Gurnsey one on too. Do you use Good Reads? I'm on there and sort of update my list every now and again. It's also embedded on my Facebook.

Ummmmm - I'm such a space, I can't even remember what all I just read...too many pages worth!

I'm going to go update my "to read" list on Facebook and maybe try to get my music page done before the deadline! (I don't think I missed it yet....) Have a good evening everyone!!

I'm back with the personal answers..
Doing it with quotes, It's easier for me to remember
Amelie is now sleeping more than 2 hours, completly strange, was looking several times at her, if everything is okay, but she is still breathing and sleeping, so went out of the room quiet.
Maybe she is also taken by the hot weather. Over here Fenna is sleeping more than normal. Just because of the damn weather. I hope it will get beter, less hot, soon!!

Dawn I do that too, try to scrape by on "my money" rather than asking Mr. Wonderful. Not sure why I do that............
Lucky me, I keep the household money in my wallet  Most of the time hubby is asking me if he needs money.. I always tell him not to ask..just take it! Thats what I do as well if I have no money,, first check out his wallet:cool:

So....who has GREAT plans for the 4th?? We don't...We are leaving on Monday for our Vaca...only going for 4 days...but I am happy to get away!!
4th of july is nothing special in the netherlands. But I'm going to the hairdresser! YAY I LOVE going there..

Off to read the rest.. You've been busy posting today allready!

@sally: lol yes Amelie, I wanted to call here Amalia, this was my first thought, now I think this name would sound a little bit old, and michael wanted to call her Emily, so we decided to put both names together and call her Amelie, crazy I know :D but it was a very short desicion, took us only 5 minutes for finding a great name for our darling
Nice decision ;) I like her name as well! I like Amelie more than Amalia.
The dutch prince..you know, the one that will be king when queen Beatrix will retire. ( Don't know how to say that nicely) his first daughters name is Amalia. She will be the next queen, after her daddy retires
We are all waiting for our Queen to retire actually
