Happy Thursday!! I am only going to be able to say hi and open the thread. My baby-girl Catzilla is all over me. And now her evil brother Floyd (Hurricane Floyd) wants in on the action.

Do you think that they get their names from their personalities or do we give them their personalities based on their nicknames? Maybe I need to start calling them "Gentle Kitty" or "Sweet Boy." or "She who leaves me alone when I am Typing."

xoxo!!!!!

LOL Chris. I am dropping in for a short visit this morning. I've been up since 3 working (like in the job that I get paid to do "work"). Not sure that the coffee will really get me through the day but I hope so. Tonight, our foreign exchange student from 4 years ago, is coming for supper. Can't wait to see her. Back with personals in a minute.

Did everyone get their cleaning done from yesterday? And their exercise? (I didn't do either...hanging my head in shame.)

Chris did the caterer call you back? Hope so.

And Maureen, you must give me an update on what you are doing at the prison. Sounds interesting.

Eva, sounds like you and DH need some TLC.

Yvon, did you get the lasagna done?

Clara...glad to be around more. And boy do I get the clothes situation. I swear, Sydney changes clothes constantly. Shaun on the other hand mainly just changes into pajamas. :) Sorry that Ethan is having such a hard time.

Check you all out later!

MOrning all - I slept in till 7- but need to get moving- my day off is an official errand day- and just to make myself accountable it goes like this- treadmill, laundry, dog to vets, return home, back to town, get gas, haircut, groceries, goodwill drop off, somewhere in the day, mop, vacuum & make dinner- easier to just go to work- oh and put out more bait because someone got cold and entered my house and is now doing acrobatics in my living room wall- a sledge hammer might do- but then I would have to fix the wall!

I'm SIck......see there is a reason I don't do well with walking outside when it's cold outside....I have either a head cold or sinus issues......my head feels like it's twice it's size that comes with a splitting headache as well as a soar throat......

Not sick enough to stay home from work, will take some tylenol to get the headache under control, then off to work I go......

Have a great day my O Family.

Yikes do I dare come in here today?? Everyone is feeling poorly! I had all those wonderful symptoms over Christmas and chased my grandkids around the house trying to wipe their runny noses too. Off to work I go so just a short visit, but love to start my day right here at the "O"!! Hope everyone feels better soon!!

Chris - Perhaps you should call your kitty "Sir types a lot"?? LOL it is cute that they want to be with you while you are on the computer! Anything for attention right? I am lucky I guess that my cat can't jump up on anything anymore his arthritis is too bad. Poor kitty!!!

LindaS - Up since three???? Yikes I would be dead by noon if I did that! :faint: How great that you get to see your foreign exchange student again, hope you don't sleep through the visit!!

Phylis - Hope your new mattress is everything you dreamed it would be!!

Fran - Those darn sinus headaches are the worst!! Hope you feel better soon!!

Laurie - Staying at work might have been less work!! Hope you get it all accomplished! What kind of critter is crawling in your walls?? :scared:

Donna - Hope your day is a great one!!

Well gotta run but hope to be back here this afternoon!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies!! So, I have this plan for 2012 to be more responsible. Things like going to bed on time. I keep going to bed on time but I just cannot sleep which in turn means I don't get up early because I feel like death when I don't sleep and basically...it is just not working out how I'd like. The kids both finally went to bed at a decent hour last night thanks to benedryl and sleepy time tea. Hopefully tonight the kids will go to bed on their own...cuz I am out of benedryl. The sleepy time tea helps...I hope. I did set my alarm this morning so that I wouldn't sleep all morning. The biggest issue has been that Addie has been sleeping all morning too and since I generally wake up when she wakes up that has caused some issues. So finally she got up earlier today and maybe we'll get on a good schedule. I just have to be diligent and even though there are set backs keep my goals in mind.

Chris - I think you are right about cat names. We named our cat Sarsaparilla...Sassy. And Sassy she is...often times we call her some not very nice names. She bites and scratches and attacks but on the other hand she is funny and does snuggle when she thinks you are sleeping, and snuggles with the kids more often than that. She's just such a little B the rest of the time.

Linda - 3AM?? I would be useless by now. That is no good. I hope the coffee gets you through. That is so great that you get to see H. I'm glad you guys can visit and have a good time now. I know it was rough for a bit while she was there. I'm with Chris...4 years really?? That is unreal to me. I can't believe I have known you guys here for that long. Wow!!

Phyllis - That is no good about your cold. I hope it passes quickly. With those bad coughing colds the military is really good about giving cough syrup with codeine. It isn't enough to make you loopy...just enough to calm your cough. I hope your new bed is so comfortable that not even a cough can keep you from sleep. Hugs!!

Laurie - WOW!! Your day makes me dizzy. There is absolutely no way I could get all of that done in my house. You and Sally I think have extra long days with the things you can accomplish. Have fun on your whirlwind day. :)

Fran - You poor thing. I hate working when I feel like crap. Sending you good healing thoughts. I hope you can get to bed early and sleep off the sick tonight.

Donna - Have a fantastic day!!

I hope anyone else who stops in has a fabulous day.

Trudy - We missed each other. I hope you have a great day at work and am glad you are feeling better now. Of course it is after the holidays and your family is no longer there to enjoy un-sick Grandma. That's how it seems to go, right? Hugs!!

shhhhhh, I am going to type vewwy quietly. Catzilla is doing something upstairs- sounds like she is playing racquetball!- so maybe she won't realize I am on the computer LOL

Phyllis- feel better- sending you virtual tea and chicken soup. Oh a new mattress sounds fab!!!

Fran- tea and chicken soup for you too.

And both of you, don't forget to take garlic pills.

Hi Donna and Laurie- hope you both have super great days.

The one caterer didn't call me back, but that one-- I am not surprised. it was for the Brownstone, which is where my brother had his wedding, but apparently I am not a "Real" Housewife of NJ (Yes, *that* Brownstone)... so yeah.... no call from them.
The one in town called me back last night, but since we needed the food for Sunday, my brother called a place that he uses down by him. We ordered Penna a la Vodka, Stuffed Flounder, Green Beans Almondine. We also are having Shrimp Cocktail and an imported cheese and flat breads platter, Italian bread, a lemon cake and I broke out the chocolate fountain to get ready to dip bananas, apples, pineapple and graham crackers. I am even using my china, you know, that stuff that has been packed away in a cabinet since I had kids!! And a tablecloth....
wow.......... My mom is gonna love it!!!
I am one of those "throw the chips in a metal bowl if I am feeling fancy" kind of hostess, whereas my mother. is. NOT.

LOL LOL

Going back to yesterday.........

Linda- are you reveling n the "political quiet" now? What did your nephew make of it all? (Sorry I called him niece in the other post:oops: )
That is so awesome of the kids to want to go back. High five to being a great mom!!!!

Phyllis- do you have regular heat or just the stove? Hope you have both! Its dang cold still, but its supposed to warm up to 50 by Sat here. And ITA-- I'll take the cold over snow any day. Of course, I'll take 90* over 30* too.

yvon- that sounds like a lovely tribute to your grandmother.
How was your lasagne?

Maureen- that sounds like a neat magazine.

Trudy- hugs sweetie, I can't imagine how quiet it must be. When do all of the kids come back out to visit?

Eva- feel better! Hope YMG feels better too.

Clara!!! I would never think you abandoned us. Hope that the kids are good today for you. Caitlyn slept through her alarm this morning. I woke her upa nd all, and then she fele back asleep. Thankfully Scott woke her up 20 mins before we had to leave, but all I heard was "I need more time!! I have to go to school late! They can't see me w/o make-up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Better get going, and do my housework. Off to "workclean" after luch.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!

 OOOOOO!!! my bed came! it's like the Princess and the Pea!! it's about 10" taller than my previous mattress, i swear. i laughed and told the delivery guys that i was going to need a ladder to get into it. one of them told me that the trick was taking a flying leap at it when i wanted to go to bed. (he also said that the delivery guys called the set i picked out "The Beast.") i honestly can't wait until tonight. i will be MAJORLY disappointed if i have a bad night's sleep tonight.

:hurt:

I'm raving furious! Thank goodness it's at my stupid self!
I spent over 2 hours on a layout fot the colour challenge and PE froze
I lost all my work!

And NO I didn't save it that's why I am ranting....

DH went to see is there was something behind my bedside table and tipped it whereupon both drawers fell out grrrrrrr books, papers, medicines, pen...
Good thing this happened before my disaster.

And please, don't send virus ( cold ) thru the forum. Feel for those suffering.
Dear brother home from hospital with a cold.
I haven't been to see him but DH went (he claims since he's a pre-war model German he's immune to such trivialities)
He delivered a huge box of Ferro Rochers to brother which sister-in-law immediately grabbed and opened. Dieter did mention, aren't you diabetic, Shirley? She's deaf too :)

So now I'm sitting down next to Fritzie and wondering if I should try again to scrap. Nah, will stay on IPad and check out galleries.
Maybe Dieter will bring chicken wings home from the pub?

Phylis, what type of mattress did you buy? I'm dreaming of buying a tempurpedic (?) one. It doesn't matter which side/back I sleep on I wake up half dozen times hurting in some area. Ah, the joys of life eh?

Tomorrow WILL be a brighter and more productive day

Lotsa hugs - nice warm ones

Jacqueline, that is the most frustrating thing that can happen during digi-scrapping! I can talk about that to! LOL
I force myself to upload the thing I'm busy with a few times during digi-scrapping. Works well for me now :)

We have had such bad weather here in the NL yesterday. I saw on the news that the north of the NL people had to be evacuated because of the water!?

And do you guys know that dutch guy, Joran van der Sloot? He was arrested for the dissapearance of Natalee Holloway. And in 2010 he murdered Stephany Flores?
I've read in the news that his trial starts today.
