Hellooooo and how are you all doing today? I am doing pretty ok ATM, but check back in with me in a few hours. Gary is coming food shopping with me.
I know!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
It should be *very* -- interesting, to say the least. To make things even more "fun" he needs to get on a low-cholesterol diet. The dr called the other day with his blood work-- cholesterol levels were well into the 300's. I asked if the good chol. was ok, but I guess at that level, even the best of the good chol. isn't going to make a difference.
So yeah. Now he wants to give up eating beef and pork (ok, I can work with that) but also chicken and dairy and any processed foods.
Now, in theory I am 100% behind that-- except for the chicken since he has to get some protein because he has lost so much muscle mass over the last few years. But OMG-- how they heck am I supposed to incorporate that into dinners that everyone will eat? And be able to afford it? bah humbug!!!!!!:frusty:
And the good/bad news is that my friend that I clean for today asked if I can come next week instead. Good news cuz I am really not up to cleaning and vacuuming yet, bad news-- no money. But I am so happy to work with him, he lives two houses down from us and is a great guy. He just had part of his kidney removed due to cancer but the outlook is very, very good. His onc. feels that he was able to get everything out. Whew!!!!
And our friend that lives between our houses broke her ribs last week. Its like our street has some medical cloud over it. Its all crazy. But I keep on looking forward, no other way.
So besides food shopping, I think I am going to try and scrap a bit. Yesterday Gary and I watched like 4-5 hours of tv, stuff we had recorded, and my brain was mush!
Guess that is about it for me.
Temptation on Thursday
