Whatta day(s)
Is there any way to help someone who never seems to get a break, one bad thing after the other?
Poor Sam</3 She and Pup have been here the last couple of days, he goes everywhere with her since he got so sick (cancer). Yesterday, he was really sick, vomiting, and then was barely moving for a few hours. She called the vet, made the appt, and she and Scott brought him over to her mom's so the rest of the family could say goodbye. And what did that adorable little bugger do? Jumped out of the car, played with Sam's mom's dog, and ate some of a hamburger. So she canceled the appt and came back here and we all loved on him some more. Unfortunately in the middle of the night, he started throwing up again.
I keep saying how sorry I am to her, for all of it. When I was saying goodbye to him yesterday, she told me he was going to see Daniel. (Her younger brother was killed in a car crash in 2021). I can't do *anything* to help her, only give her hugs. It's not enough. I know that Scott is very supportive of her, and Cait is working from home for part of the day so she will be there for Sam and Puppa.
And to top it all off her family is placing her grandma into hospice this week.
No plans today, My back is still a little stiff and sore and with everything going on, it's going to be a laying low kind of day.
Any good thoughts for Sam and Puppa and her family are very appreciated.
xoxo

My entire family, from my parents when I was a teen, to DH, and to my kids, all know to leave me alone until I have inhaled at least 1 cup.

Gentle hugs for her! There were a few muddy spots on the hike yesterday, but really not too bad, its pretty well covered with lots of beautiful trees along most of the trail. Take care of your back today, enjoy laying low and perhaps you can catch up on a good book or something nice like that!
or whatever suits your fancy!! Have a great day everyone!
After all those years of having the house to myself during the day while D went to work, I can't stand to have noise all the time. I need to distance myself from it for a good part of the day. My 3rd floor foyer office space is perfect for me, the dogs love the open floor plan for play time and napping while I scrap and watch videos. Be careful today, take care of your back.
