I am so happy right now. I got a little bit of Oscraps good news, and the snow that was predicted didn't happen so no delayed opening for school.
:D

I have my coffee, my O-fam and my morning is rolling along smoothly. *happy sigh*

Yvon- my glasses broke yeasterday too. The screw feel out of the earpiece and i could not get it back in. Thankfully I had ordered them through zenni.com and all I had to do was reorder that pair-- $16 and they'll be at my door in a week.
You are a baaaaad neopet mommy LOL

Eva- your day sounded the perfect blend of family and food :)

Donna- I love learning, if I could keep going to school forever, I would be thrilled. i think that is why I love reading so much.
Its also great that your mom loves to read too. I saw some research that "Brain games" can really help keep the brain active and is helpful in early Alz patients too.

Oh Phyllis :( Sorry to hear that the drama sucks
This is for you:

I sent it to caitlyn who loves llamas and is having teen-girl drama. But it is appropriate for all.

kristy- keep up the amazing work on exercising! Nope, you don't want to starve yourself. Not only will you feel like crap, it slows your metabolism down.

Yvon- Scott can't get into a 4 yr school because his grades stink. Well, it is more than that. When he got really sick in middle school, it affected his course load, and his standardized testing, which put him into a lot of remedial classes in 9th grade. he dislikes school- a lot-- even though he is brilliant, so he does as little as possible so he can still pass. For ex. his take on homework is that he works for 7 hours in school, he shouldn't have to do more when he gets home. So he tests well, be every zero grade on homework pulls his grades down.
And for years, my whole focus was trying to get both kids somewhat healthy, and school ended up sliding badly. bad mama for me.

I wanted to post that before I lost the whole thing ;)

Clara- I swear, some day i am going to be hearing about this new amazing sensation, Addie Paddie :) She is too cute. Did you survive the busy night?

Trudy- the worst is that all of the drs in the kids health plan are 45-mins to an hour away. Makes for a lot of driving and sitting and waiting.
Hope your day was great!

Maureen, it sounds as as if you could try help your DD til you were blue in the face and she wouldn't want any of it anyway. I hope that she gets the help she needs somehow. but the wonderful news is about her DD. That must make a huge weight fall off your shoulders. Stay strong. Hugs~~~

LindaS!!!!!!!! *I am happy dancing all over the O today*
See??

Hi J!!!

Yvon- feel better!!

hugs to all!!

lOve the O!
morning - day off slept in until 530- coffee, gallery strolling, soon to get my day planned- errand & haircut day, then home again to enjoy the day- I bought these itty bitty LED lights at the store last week, the can be put in water and not short out- the store had them in a bowl with fake greenery and a giant frog on top, I am thinking on a grey background with object of desire in them so they look like bright lights in the background- we shall see how my photography goes in the afternoon light! Have great days everyone!

Good morning ladies! I am happy dancing to Chris. And I love that llama! Must remember to show Sydney tonight. We LOVE the Llama, Llama books even though they are not difficult enough for her. She will love this poster.

Laurie, I am so envious of that day off. But mine are coming...only 6 more work days. Yay! And I have never heard of LED lights that could go in water...can't wait to see pics.

Maureen. i guess the good news is the custody news. i also hope the courts handle things quickly. the rest is heartache. some day we're going to have coffee and talk.

Chris, thank you SO much from the DramaLLama. she should be living at my house. (llamas always look like they're smiling.) i wish there was a DramaMoose, too. i love looking at moose. they make me laugh. and schools. hmmm. i was NEVER so glad as when both my kids were completely out of all kind of school. i was sick of them all, from their high schools to Notre Dame. ALL of them.

Laurie, i am dying to see the lights! i WANT some. one of my friends (Applechick here at the O) has fairy lights up all year, and that sounds like something i would enjoy. enjoy your day off.

Linda, i don't know what's happening with the Cheery-O thing, but it souds like a GOOD thing, so good wishes re: anything happy that happened to you!

gonna vacuum, take a shower, then maybe hit the mall. although, is there anything WORSE than a mall at this time of year? looking at spring clothes when it's 28 degrees and snow on the ground.?

Terrific Thursday to you all. and some sunshine, too.

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies!!

I'm gonna be real quick here. Today I have a sick little boy. He woke up with a tummy bug. Then my husband in all his glory decided it was too cold to ride his motorcycle 5 minutes away and has left me here w/o a car. I don't want to walk Addie to school when Ethan is home sick. This motorcycle thing is infuriating me. After riding his motorcycle for a year he said when we move he could handle riding it for 5 minutes...but now all of sudden he is being a giant baby about it and it makes me mad. 5 minutes. He ca't be cold for 5 minutes. Geesh!! It takes the car that long to really heat up. Such a brat. Well, since he is only 5 minutes away he can take a break in his day to drop off and pick up addie from school.

So we've been having issues with Ethan's meds. He crashes every night, gets headaches and won't eat. I don't like his doctor (hard to change with referrals and stuff) and he was an ass when we went in. He gets annoyed if you don't read his mind apparently. Ugh!! But in general the meds are really working for Ethan. He's a smart kid and loves school. I can always tell when he doesn't take his meds on his hoework. He will get an entire section wrong because he didn't read the directions. LOL!! But we got to go out to Cracker Barrel for dinner because he brought home an A report card. We did have to explain the importance of easy classes though. He messes around in Art, PE and music. So we had to explain how when he gets older those are his buffer grades for the hard classes. He hasn't learned about averages yet so it took a little bit but I think he got it.

Chris - I'm right there with you. Addie has that star quality...plus she's a little performer. Did you see her dancing at the hockey game on FB!! LOL! It was funny.

Laurie - be sure to show us your light project when it is done. I hope you have a good stylist that makes you feel all pretty when you are done. I hate getting my haircut and leaving with wet hair or without any care to how my hair works out.

Linda - loving the new bling!! I'm happy dancing too.

Phyllis - is there a good time to hit the mall? I go there as seldom as possible. I am dreading the day when the kids want to drag me there on my weekends. Blech!!

Kristy - I h ope your work day isn't too bad. I really wish I could work. Unless I switch career paths there is nothing for me to do. :(

Katherine - Yay on a scrapbook room. That is awesome. I'm sure you'll love having it back.

Trudy - have a good day at work and good luck with the treadmill.

Okay ladies...took way longer than I had planned. I'd better get. Hugs!!

Phylis . . . It is going to be way beyond nice! Seriously! I've missed being able to go into MY space, close the door and lock everything out! Not that I have to lock anything out mind out. It's just nice being able to do that once in a while. Know what I mean?

Trudy . . . I'm going back and forth between Water Lily Pond (olive-y green) and Geneva Swan Gray (deep beige-ish olive-y green). Need to make up my mind. I'm buying it tomorrow.

I hope your little one gets to feeling better, Clara. I hate it when the littles get sick. Especially with the belly stuff.

Now, I'm off to do a little scrapbooking. Hope the rest of you have a beautiful day.
