Happy Thursday!
Is everyone surviving their week and crazy weather so far?
I am of to work today at MIL's. I am looking forward to getting out of the house and back to a somewhat normal routine.

It took me 3 hours of shoveling/scraping to get my car sort of able to be out of the driveway, and i had both kids helping me too. my poor back and shoulders! Bet i'll be really buff by the end of this winter LOL

Linda S, how was your trip to work?

Hi Nana!! Thanks for letting Phil know what the right answer was. LOL

Meg- feel better (again and again and again!)

Clara- Great news about Ethan's dr and appt. Glad that you liked him and that he seems very much willing to work with him, not just throw meds at him.

Trudy- How was YMG's birthday?

There you are Laurie! I am so used to you posting right behind me, it feels weird to see you down here. :)

Kayleigh- so good to hear that you are getting into the swing of things and with motherhood! ITA w/ Clara- it took Scott''s cord over 3 weeks to fall off. In fact - I brought him in to the ped b/c i thought it was infected and that's when she saw he wasn't breathing right and we were sent to the hospital for his heart. cait's fell off within days. Go figure! LOL

ToT:
I want to buy a hot tub and soak for a really long time. (Then I am going to get a plane ticket to somewhere hot!)

Good morning Chris!!

I am up too early this morning and I am freezing!! Thank goodness the heating people are coming today. Yesterday our house was like a sauna. Ugh!!!!! The upstairs was seriously 90 degrees. Now it is 60 degrees downstairs. They should be here in an hour. Okay...my toes are freezing so this is super short.

Chris - yay for buffness...pooey on the reason!!! Screw the day and lets just watch some chick flix and drink hot cocoa and eat something cheesy!! :D

All of these kids just LOOOOOOVVEEE their PawPaw!!!

Be back later girls!!

I'm back- the town 30 min away got their power restored and I have net-Mr Gorgeous is home and working from home. I have done my exercise and need to eat breakfast. The sun is shining and we have wonderful hoar frost- maybe I will go take pictures first! later my friends- I missed you all

Morning Ladies... Well my MG and I had a wonderful dinner last night!! He actually got home at his regular time Yay!! We went to Mr. Mike's a great Steak place here in town and I actually was able to eat my steak!! My splints are really working and although I had to cut it up very small, it was nice and tender and juicy! Yummmmm, its been a very long time since I enjoyed a good steak. Gary was very happy to be out for his birthday and away from all the craziness at work, they had a cake for him at work too so he has had his share of sweets! I bought him an impact wrench for a gift, he has been wanting one for a long time, so he can easily remove his winter tires on the truck.

Laurie - I can't wait to see your hoar frost pictures!! We don't get much of that here, but used to have beautiful hoar frost in Saskatchewan! Nice that your hubby can work from home and stay warm and safe!!

Nana Linda - Aww poor little girl!! hope you get her back to bed so she can wake up in a better mood! Then you can have some good Nana time with her! Have a great day my friend!

Clara - Brrrr, hope that those heat guys fix you up sweetie!! And I'm with you lets forget the day and watch chick flicks and eat bad stuff!! Or do I go to work?? Decision, Decisions!!:decision:.

Chris - Sounds like you are really getting a workout with that shovel!! You will be buff!! Now you will get more excercise cleaning at your MIL's, hope the day goes well for you! I will pray for the snow gods to leave you alone for awhile.

Work this afternoon for 6hrs, then again tomorrow, then I am off for the next 5 days yay for crazy schedules!! (It will probably change)! Talk to you all later

So last night Mario let me sleep (AGAIN he really needs to stop doing that! lol) and he got up with Kaylyn through out the night. Down side is this is the 3rd night in a row and he hasn't been catching up on his sleep enough during the day so he was like the living dead when I woke up. I made him go to sleep, he looked like he was going to fall over!! Kaylyn has been an ANGEL this morning!! She got a little cranky because apparently my baby is turning into a chunky little thing and I didn't feed her quite enough, then I walked around in a circle in the living room for 5 minutes holding her and talking to her and boom! she was out like a light!! Lucky me =] hehehe. So now I have 1 sleeping baby, 1 sleeping husband and 3 sleeping dogs, oh what will I do with the quiet??

We haven't really got much as far as storms are concerned, we got a lot of rain day before yesterday and it has been unbelievably cold but no snow or anything (thank god!)

---

Chris - I wanna be buff! Maybe I should come shovel your driveway.... & Mario's son's cord fell off 2 days after he got home from the hospital! So I was like ugh I want it off now lol

Clara - Ick! We all now how you hate early mornings! ;-) I'm glad they are gonna get that fixed for you though. Froze toes are not good.

Nana - Oh fussy girls, sounds familiar! Hopefully she'll wake up and cheer up a bit =]

Laurie - Stay warm!!

Trudy - Glad you had a fun date night! I wonder how long it'll be before I get one of those =]

Chris -- You go girl!!! You'll be wonder woman before winter is even over!!!

Clara -- Grrrr at all these heater issues!!!!!!!! I'd be super de duper upset if that were me.

Kristy -- Hooray for the kids going back to school!!!!

LOL Nana Linda!!!! I have an immune disorder, so that's why I get sick so often, my immune system spends so much time attacking itself that it doesn't defend me against real stuff. They don't know which autoimmune disease I have, but nonetheless they can't treat it. My aunt has the same issue -- an undiagnosable autoimmune disease -- but a different one. I'm feeling much better today so I don't need your gun :)

Laurie -- hooray for being connected again!!! Hopefully it doesn't shut down again, we'll miss you too much!!!!

Trudy -- PTL!!!!!!!! I'm SO UNBELIEVABLY EXCITED FOR YOU! I can't believe how quickly those splints are working!!!!

Well ladies... my head is killing me a bit this morning... because we had a few margaritas last night... first I had one at happy hour (NEW52 for us has become a new place for happy hour each week lol)... then we got some bad news and then some really great news.... so we bought a bottle of tequila and some bottles of mix at Costco and went home to celebrate!

The bad news....
Jeff's getting moved to graveyard.
The good news....
He's being promoted!!!!

Well, it's interim, so no pay raise for at least 90 days... and pending if they hire him or someone else for the spot. Basically they had an unexpected opening, and Jeff was the guy everyone wanted to become the new Lt. So, we'll know within 60 days if he gets the job permanently, but we're not even sure if he wants to keep the promotion... it may be too much for him with us living over 40 miles away. If it does work out, we'll probably be moving closer... which means above the smog line!!! our allergies wont be as bad!!!!

Ok... well... I better get moving and get ready to go into work... to do those three damn appraisals I missed yesterday. My replacement was also sick, so I still have to do them today.

Cross posting with Kayleigh!!!!

Awww he's such a sweetie for letting you sleep like that!!! Are you finally healing up? I remember it took my cousin in law awhile to heal from that, she was still sore a month later... and colace helps!

Hi ladies!!! Been a long time, but I am slowly trying to dig myself out of the hole I was in :) ! Just wanted to do a flyby and say hi!! ((hugs)) Hope everyone is well!

KAT!!!!!!! I've missed you. Do you need help digging yourself out of that hole? I'm working my out of mine. Fortunately my hole doesn't affect my time in the O's it just doesn't get me out of my house much, or my pajamas, or off the computer, or cleaning or doing anything truly productive. LOL!!!

The heating guys are here...they were very late. Ugh!!! Hopefully they figured out the heating issue upstairs. There may be a fan relay that is not working so the heat doesn't turn off, explaining the 90 degree heat up there. Now to figure out the heat downstairs and why there isn't any. It sounds like they are outside working on that right now on the side of my house. I wish it would actually be working. My toes are so cold and I even have warm fuzzy socks on. WE do have a fireplace but I don't want to use it. It doesn't have any kind of air pump...it is totally clean and my kids sit in it (they are weird) and they last people that lived here caught the house on fire so that makes me leery of using it.

So...a minute of randomness...do any of you have kids that watch Dora? Let me tell you if it is playing downstairs and you are upstairs the sounds you can hear upstairs are soooooooo annoying. Just so you all know. I just thought I'd share that with you. All you can hear is the annoying higher pitched sounds. Ugh!! Really annoying when your husband is letting you sleep in on the weekend.

Chris - what do you know about kids and melatonin? Ethan was supposedly up all night last night and between that and him about to start taking amphetamines I'd like to see about him maybe taking melatonin. I'll do some of my own research too but thought I'd ask what you knew about it too.

Kristy - Yay for sleep ins but I know what you mean about having the kids back on their regular schedule.

Nana - Maybe Miss S could use some snuggling. Addie was feisty this morning too. I got her to snuggle for about 20 minutes without any tv or anything and it rested her just enough to get the yuck out of system. She came down the stairs, handed me the remotes and said "turn on the tv." I was like, excuse me, what?? Good morning and give me some kisses and of course she would have none of that. So she got no tv for a bit and so we just laid on the couch for awhile while she pouted but she rested a little longer since apparently she wasn't ready to get out of bed yet. Well give your little princess some smooches from us.

Laurie - Yay for internet and YMG being home for the day. I want to see those pics because I don't know what a hoar frost is.

Trudy - Wow!! Steak!! I'll bet that was amazing. How awesome to finally be able to eat real food sometimes now. I'm so not a soup person and the soups I do like are the creamy fattening ones. I'd eat a lot of potato soups and have to figure out some way to eat some types of seafood chowders or bisques that were not too chunky and I'd get nice and round. I'm glad YMG had a nice bday.

Kayleigh - I am so glad your DH is taking such good care of you. I only got a couple of days right after I got out of the hospital. But those days were amazing. How fun that your baby is all chunky. That is the only time in a persons life when chunky is cute and you can have all those little fat rolls and it is adorable. I love it. She's probably about to grow a little bit and next thing you know she'll be skinny and you'll be wondering what happened to all the rolls. I hope you enjoyed your few minutes of quiet.

Meg - Yay for margaritas and your reasons to need them. I know it has been a long time coming. Hopefully the raise will come and he'll enjoy the job.

Hi ladies!!! Been a long time, but I am slowly trying to dig myself out of the hole I was in :) ! Just wanted to do a flyby and say hi!! ((hugs)) Hope everyone is well!
