CHEERY O
gooooooOOOOOd morning to my O-Fam (cue Robin Williams a la Good Morning Vietnam)

Did that wake y'all up? Hope so. If I am awake, then everyone should be awake. Nah, just kidding.... if you can stay in a warn snuggly bed, than I am all for it!
(I might be very jealous, but its ok)

Laurie- how are you feeling today? Glad to hear that you felt better as you went through your day. In case you missed it, I always recommend garlic pills for colds/viruses. When I feel a cold coming on, I dose up on garlic and feel better in no time. Or if i do get a cold, its never as bad as a full-blown one. My friend is going through a similar sick/absence issue with her son at school. They don't want the kids in school when they are sick, but stay home too many days, and you lose credit for the course.
My brother's old employer had a great system. They didn't count days, they counted incidents. So if you had strep and needed 5 days to get better, that would only count as one incident. That way the person wouldn't feel obligated to go in sick, spread more germs, and make the entire office sick.
I don't know what is better- my health plan doesn't have a deductible, but it has caps on everything. So my "Diagnostic" cap is $500- well, one test can cost way more than that!

Uh-oh... don't get me started on health insurance LOL

Petra- hahaha! Thats funny about a trailer sale. No worries from me- I don't/can't wear VS- but if you have some Fruit of the Loom or Hanes her Way.... that might get me going :p

Clara- yummy beer bread! That sounds so weird and confusing about the uniform stuff. Thanks for the good advice- i am going to try my best not to worry! hugs!!

Meg- hugs to you too- this time of year stinks for lots of people I guess. So much pressure and stress!
Have fun withthe Kinex- sounds like fun!

ME- thank you for making me feel better about my own C-mas shopping. I am somewhat don't with non-family but I have next to nothing for my kids yet.
I am doing a lot at Amazon this weekend, I think!

Hi Linda S and Nana Linda- hope you are both doing awesome and feeling better.

Off to get the kids to the bus, then the Lyme dr for gary and I, then the mall to do some shopping and then home, then Cait's chorus concert....

xoxo

Morning- slept in till nearly 7- feel much better- I'll have to think about the garlic pills- wonder how they would interact with the fish oil ones- ewww- Today I am making some Christmas Cards, and heading out to the post office. Lots more to do too, but those are tops on my list!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Driving by and waving hello. Feeling very cranky today - can't pinpoint why. Oh, yes, maybe it was the dog jumping on us at 3 am to say hey, take me outside, and not being able to fall back asleep. AAAAH!!! I can tell it's going to be one of those days ... sigh.

Be back later in hopefully an improved mood.

Best morning ever!!!! We got a rebate from Allstate. So today I go to pay bills since it's pay day and realize I have not received my monthly bill from Allstate. So I call them up and he says that we are payed through March 2011!!! Said the system made some mistakes on a good number of policies. WOOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

I get to finally go Christmas shopping today! I can't wait! I also have to go get my emissions tested. blah.

I think I bit off a little more than I can chew with making all these homemade gifts. Besides scarfs for dh, dd, 2ds', I am planning on making glove pets http://www.marthastewart.com/article/glove-animals. Also we are making gifts for teachers, and I had the idea of making something for my co-leader in cub scouts. Plus I wanted to make some jewelry for our Gala this Saturday, but I don't think that's going to happen. I had ideas for a ton of other hand made items for the kids, but I need to take a chill pill and stop coming up with ideas! On top of that I still need to finish this album. I already have 50 ages. I figured a book of $40 pages will suffice, so I need to narrow down. I think I said that already though. I have my Christmas cards made, but I still need to type up a letter. Or maybe what I'll do is do a letter on my blog and provide a link on the back of my photo card. That will save tons of ink! I have over 50 people in my family alone, not counting DH's family, or friends across the whole of the US!

Well off to scrap a couple pages and then go shopping!!!!!!!! Can you tell I LOVE Christmas shopping. Will be doing some shopping on Etsy too. Dd is getting an American Girl doll from favorite aunt, so I will buy her some outfits. They have so many cute ones!

Okay...cue the drumroll...I am on here in the morning. I woke up super early for me...before the kids. No kids coming in to wake me up. Addie is still sleeping. Wow!! I'm letting her. So, I'll chat while Ethan is feeding his webkins and then I'll go make some breakfast. So, my mom is out of town and so I wrote her a big email about my fight with my sister and she finally got back to me today. She's in Mexico and they don't have wifi at her resort. I still haven't talked to my sister and she's calling Derek like I asked to talk to the kids. I just don't want to deal with her and our fight was about something unrelated so what I was mad about didn't even come up but I just don't even want to talk to her. Ugh!!

I introduced Ethan to a Christmas classic last night. I made him watch Miracle on 34th Street with me. It was so fun and even better...I always forget I have the B&W version. But he watched it and loved it. I kept explaining things as it went to make sure he didn't miss anything. He enjoyed it. It was fun.

Alrighty...some personals:

Chris: Thanks for the wake up call. It totally woke me up. I hope you have a fantastic day. Get your music on your ipod and keep the red hat away. Hugs!!

Laurie - pills would be better than blending it all up into a smoothie, right? LOL!! Get yourself better!! Soon!! I have to finish my Cmas cards too. I made Ethan put them all in envelopes yesterday so I just have to write a letter and then I can send it out. Yay!! I think I'll handwrite addresses this year. We'll see.

ME - Well, you can have one coffee a day, so start with that and drink a lot of water today. I hope it turns out to be an okay day. hugs!!

Alrighty. Off for now. Maybe i'll be back later. Love you all!!

Katrina - cross posting. lol!! I try and keep my homemade gifts pretty simple. As far as the home made gifts keep it to the same things for everyone outside your family. It is far too much work making everyone different things. I really prefer calendars for my family as gifts because I only need 12 LOs. I usually just take 12 LOs I have made throughout the year and then resize it to fit the calendar measurements. Sometimes I have to move some of the elements and stuff but it is much easier than starting from scratch it it will represent our year. Then I make an album in January or February when Winkflash has an awesome book sale and give that out for mother's day/grandparent's day and but in everything I made from the year before. I don't try and keep up and just make what I make. You will never keep up. It is exhausting so I just pull from my archives if I don't have anything from what is recent when I have new kits or want to scrap. You just started in the digiscrap world. You can't catch up on years of photos or even a year of photos without making yourself crazy. But then again I used to try and get everything and then when I would do pages I would try and fit like 20 pictures on a page and hardly journal. Now I will only use a couple of pics and journal a lot much more often. It is so crazy how much my scrapping has changed from the day I started until today. Anyway, don't make yourself crazy. Your family has no idea what you were planning, so if you don't do it the only person who would know is you. And if you do something smaller like a calendar instead of a book, nobody will be disappointed. My family will not allow me to not give them calendars now. I think they appreciate them more than my books. They go through the books when I give them to them but the calendars I know they look at everyday and they request them every single year. I am hopeful that the CD Calendars will go over this year rather than the full sized. good luck finding a balance.

mmm, I think this is my fist posting to the Daily Ooo's :0)

I finally finished my daughter's Paris album and placed the order last night.

I made it mainly with Oscraps collab kit "Parisian Holiday" and really wanted to post it here to share with all of you. BUT Inkubooks only share options are though email (where you would have to register at their sight and download the silverlight softwear) or through social network sites like facebook.

Although I am a facebook hold out, I briefly considered setting up and account just so I could share the album. BUT to do so my album would have to be completely public (don't want that with names and photos in the book) OR everyone who wants to see the book would have to send me a friend request....in addition the widget is so small, you miss a lot of details and cant read any of the journaling any way.

This is my first time ordering from Inkubook. But they had a really great get a free copy of your first book deal, and considering I made big 11x11 108 page book and needed two copies, it saved me a lot of money.

However, between the extremely limited share and album cover options, I doubt I will use them again. Still I cant wait to see the book, I have never ordered a big one before, so I am pretty excited.

Creatively Obsessed: What is your name? Thanks for the website! I can now save myself a ton! I only have 2 books to print out myself so this is perfect!

Top of the mornin to you all :yo: It's a very :rain: morning, but I am up early and getting my Christmas Cards out in the mail today if it kills me!!!

Yesterday was a write off as we spent most of the day travelling to see my specialist about my jaw, 1 hr appt. visit with my hubby's sister and husband and then out to supper. We were so glad to get home, have a glass of wine, watch the news then off to bed.

Update on my jaw situation - It turns out that I have TMD (temporomandibular disorder) because of dislocating my jaw, the muscles have become so tight and fatiqued around my joint that they cause me a lot of pain and I have to make them stop clenching. I know that they do clench through the day and most of the night while I sleep, because I wake up everyday with a stiff jaw and my muscles are very tight! So in order to correct this problem, I have to wear a splint, which is like an appliance that I have to wear in mouth all of the time, except when I eat and it teaches my reflexors to relax. The doctor explained it all to me very well, but I might not have gotten it all right?? Dr.David Donaldson was a hoot!! Great doctor with a wonderful sense of humor and just a fun guy to be around. He has mumerous titles behind his name and is very well educated, but a very down to earth guy! I am sure if you google him you would be very impressed!!
Anyway... I go back to him on the 20th to get my splint and hopefully will only have to have a few more visits after that. Thank god for our wonderful health care as it is 80 to 90% covered and our cost will minimal!

When I hear of your horror stories about the health coverage in the states it always makes me shudder and wonder why you fight universal health care so much??? Everyone deserves good health care weather they are rich or poor. Opps time to step off of my high horse and shut up!

Anyway that's my story of my jaw problems and now its time to get busy and get my annual christmas letter done and get those cards in the mail. I hope to be back here later for personals. To all of you who are feeling down in the dumps today, I hope your day improves!! Hi to you all and you know I love you guys!!

Katrina, I am Michele.

After much research, I found Inkubooks get a free copy of your first book free to be the best deal for me. They do have a couple other promotions going on right now. So depending on what you need you may check those out.

The software is very easy to use and the upload time was very good. Just to let you know in advance, for the big 11x11 book you have to size your pages to 11.2x11.2. Their program does not have a resize option, so you would need to adjust the size before uploading the layouts.

Trudy, I am an american and I don't understand why so many fight the universal health care either. :0)

Wooo!!! So glad to see you here Michelle!!!! How are things going with your son?

Quick flyby for me right now... My cold is just getting worse! This is ridiculous!!! I know I said I'd go to the doctor if I wasn't better by now... But I'm going to wait until Monday. The doctor I like only works half the week and spends the other half biking or shopping at REI.

It's our "Monday" today so Jeff is going to be super grumpy.

Bad news... I had to postpone my shop reopening because xcart and I got into a fight and it wouldn't let me put things in, so I couldn't get things to the shop's QC team. They have a set release day for everyone, so that's what keeps pushing me back.

Ok, I'm back, found where I misplaced my laptop!!

Has anyone else ever subscribed to PhotoJojo?? I absolutely love them and have been subscribed to their newsletter for several years now. Check out their Christmas photos idea!!!

Now time for personals:

Petra -- lol, I have so many VS gift cards from my wedding still! I haven't bothered to use them because their bras never last... the underwire always comes out after a few washes!! And I even use a special bra bag when I wash them, and hang dry. I've had better luck with bras from target!!

Chris -- Are you doing better today? Sounds like it!!!!

Laurie -- feel better! Lol, fish and garlic... your breath might start smelling like thai food or something!!!

ME -- Awwwwwwwww!!!!!! I know how that goes, my hubby wakes me up when he goes to bed on our weekends because he thinks I'm just so darn cute when he tries to talk to me at 3am! Feel better, get yourself a cupcake today :)

Katrina -- Wooohooo!!! Have fun Christmas shopping!!! AAA did the same with us, they keep sending us bills but when we go online to pay the system stops us and says that we're paid in full until the new year.

Michelle -- Congrats on finishing the book!! When did you start? Was it back in October?

Trudy -- Boo to the ugly diagnosis, but hooray that it's getting taken care of and you like your doctor!!! I'm so glad the splint isn't a big ugly thing you'll have to wear on the outside!!!!

Did I miss anyone?? I think I'm going to go make my late breakfast now and do some stretches... no work out today, I pushed myself too hard yesterday. I was going to get Molly's diet plan & fitness journal templates last night, but I found her freebie & that's perfect for me.

Meg,

I had actually completed a good deal of the book. Then lost it when my computer crashed. Despite having two back ups. (How is it that no matter how careful I am, I still manage to loose stuff every time the computer messes up?) Any way. I tried and tried to restarte the book in September, but my mojo was gone. It was the October challenges here at OScraps that helped me through my scrappers block. So thanks to all the wonderful challenge hosts here at Oscraps!!

Thanks also for thinking of me. My son is doing well. Since he started the bi-polar medication, he has had only one bad episode and that was on a day he forgot to take the medication.

I know how computer mess ups go! Ever since I switched to mac I haven't lost anything, there was one close call, but the apple store revived my macbook!

LOL LINDA!!!! THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!
Oh, and I misplaced my laptop because I didn't even touch it yesterday -- too busy -- and it wasn't in it's normal place(s) when I got up. Turns out I left it by the printer after printing out some stuff!!

Ugh -- this morning was a nightmare!!!!!!!!!! Long story short, a guy who I do not trust AT ALL was at the org I volunteer for this morning. Well, his FIL (who works there) asked him to come in to teach the staff how to use WordPress... without asking me first, the one person who is IN CHARGE OF THE WEBSITE. I was beyond mad because this guy doesn't know anything, and destroys the org website every time they let him near it. Sure enough, even though they promised me he would only be showing them how to make posts and pages, he made the website crash. He was doing UPDATES to the plugins I have installed WITHOUT BACKING IT UP! Ugh! The reason I left those plugins un-updated was because the updates were buggy still!!!!!!!!!

So, Jeff got super upset, and declared that if they don't agree to give me supreme rule of the website and everyone else wont have access to anything but submitting their stuff to post... I need to cut ties with the org. Problem is, Jeff's ENTIRE family is intertwined with the org -- his uncle founded it -- so I would be causing mega drama if I left because of this. It's one thing after another, and they cause me NOTHING but stress. When my MIL gets home (she's their accountant!!!) I'm going to ask her what I should do. Ughhhhhh.

i've been strolling galleries...ugh just can't get it together guess i just have too much on my mind...got a class on saturday...8 freakin hours...yay...then my girls bday party sunday....wisdom teeth coming out monday....

Oh Meg!!!! Poor you, its always something isn't it?? I sure hope you can get things straightened out soon and get some peace in your life!!

Nana Linda thanks for the good laugh!! It's been one of those days where my headache won't leave me and nothing goes the way you plan. Oh well tomorrow is another day!

Have a great night everyone!
