errrgh! I am freaking out a bit. This "break" is not turning out as a break at all! We had really bad snow and ice yesterday, I am working today and tomorrow, more snow on Saturday and NY Eve is Monday. I have no idea when I am going to go food shopping! Do I even *want* to go food shopping??? Of course not but I don't think my family will enjoy living on crackers for the next week.... grumble grumble.

I could go on Sunday but b/c I don't do well with people and crowds, I might not make it out of there alive.
Looks like I might have to get up and out early on Sat before the storms hits and people realize that they are down to their last 25 rolls of toilet paper. :D

I know-- First World Problems- when to go food shopping.... :fish:

Not much to say at all besides my usual complaints about food, money, and cold weather!

I hope that all of you have a wonderful day, and enjoy whatever you get do!

Gary takes and has taken a variety of the meds usually prescribed for chemo patients. They all had varying levels of success and failure to help, so if she doesn't find one that helps, make sure the drs keep trying different ones.

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning ladies!! Another slow day in the OR. No case for a little bit and only one is a maybe then I'll head downstairs to the main x-ray and just take regular pics. Because this is a military hospital the flow of patients reflects what is going on throughout the base. Right now most of the 82nd (The big group airborne group here) is all on block leave. Meaning that everyone takes time off at the same time during selected days and so most of the base is on vacation. The ones that didn't travel sure don't want to see the doctor while they are here and the rest are all gone. Usually on my way to work from the coffee stand I have to dodge people who are running on the street but this week has been like a ghost town. It is very odd considering this is the most populated Army base.

I'm still feeling like crap and decided to start taking some antibiotics. I am pretty darn sure I have a sinus infection and have some ammoxicillin I never took. I gotta get healthy before the baby comes. I am soooooooooo excited to see my sister's baby. She is so darn cute. She's half Peruvian so she has this huge mop of dark hair that pokes out everywhere. Plus she's all chunky, has chubby cheeks and dimples. I just can't wait to get my hands on her.

Chris - I know what you mean about going out into the public to shop. It's horrible. Derek was giving me crap about ditching them to do the Christmas shopping and I just looked at him like he was crazy and asked if he planned on doing the shopping. He quit complaining real quick after that. Good luck fighting the crowds...and honestly...I would totally feed my family crackers instead of going to the store.

Everyone else that stops in here today...have a great day!! Hugs!!

Chris, my method for going grocery shopping on a weekend (which i try NEVER to do) is to go during the Steeler's game. this town is SO idiotic when it comes to loving that team, and the store is like a ghost town because everyone is at home watching the team lose. i laughed out loud at your "last 25 rolls of toilet paper" comment. honestly. 6" of snow and everyone thinks they're going to STARVE to death. :mmph: we've got the same mess here. happily i don't have to go anywhere.

Clara, feel better! the baby sounds absolutely SQUEEEEEEzable!

today? i have no idea. i made a page this morning, and now my eyes are burning. so the computer and i must part company. i guess i'll do some ironing. always a good way to fill up empty time!! :der:

do something nice for yourself. you deserve it.

Oh my gosh- that was a spew alert- if you want to teach someone to drive in Ohio- go out on the roads when the Ohio State Michigan game is on- you feel like you are in a Twilight zone episode. Today slept in till 7am, plan to hang in the basement and clean up my craft room! I have so much stuff to go through. I am thinking I may have floor by the end of the weekend! I am drinking my coffee from the new mug my sister got me- so cool- we saw them in a gift shop when I was there in the summer- I am right handed, but always keep my mug on the left side, so she bought me a left handed one! The one I linked to is the color she got me. Gotta love her. Okay, off to eat breakfast and put my work clothes on. I better bring down the timer and my water bottle when I return. (I moved my laptop to the basement with the silhouette- I think I may use it to make my one little word for 2013 into a sign- still need to pick the word though.

good am - love the week after Christmas it is the week of the World Jrs Hockey championship. These are kids 17-19 and it is fun to see them playing for their countries. They are playing in Russia and so the games are on early in the morning and I like that as I am an early riser. Got more of my 2012 pages printed. My husband woke up sick - he thanks an ear infection poor baby!

Chris we had snow that quickly turned to rain and washed all the snow away - not much ice. You are just that much further north so you got the ice. One thing nice about having my son still at home is that he likes to grocery shop. I send him out. He does a great job!

Jen congrats on new baby! he is adorable!

Phylis hope your zigzag lines are not too bad today

Clara hope you feel better

Laura have fun with the new toy!

Terry hope you got your golf in

Have a great day!

Morning "O" friends! Was MIA yesterday, but had a great Christmas dinner at the In-laws and ate way too much, as I am sure all of us did! Drive to the Lake was horrid!! Sudden Snow Storm hit and wow the roads were bad!! Youngest SIL had the worst of it coming over the Malahat, cars in the ditch everywhere!! She sat in traffic for a couple of hours while they moved cars out of the way and off the road so others with 4wheel drive could get on with their commute. Good thing she has a 4wheel drive jeep! Then of course it rained all night and now all the snow is gone.

Chris - Sure hope you make it to the store before the big crowds hit! I have to do some shopping tomorrow too uggh!

Clara - Hope the antibiotics do the trick for your sinus infection! Must make for a long day when it is so slow for you at work! Hope you had a fun Christmas and that you get to hold that sweet baby soon!

Phylis - So happy that you had a great Christmas! How wonderful that you did not have to deal with Drama this year! We were happy to see the SIL that lost her husband to cancer come and join us for dinner this year, but it was very depressing to have to hear her talk about everything that her and her hubby used to do at Christmas, I understand that she misses him very much, but everything we did she mentioned a memory of him with, she is the drama queen of the family anyway, but really why make yourself sad???

Linda S - :bolt: was that you that just flew past??

Laurie - Have fun in your basement with your new christmas gifts! Your mug looks great and I am putting that silhouette on my wish list!! Green with envy!!

Nancy - You should have been with us for Christmas night, hubby and nephew stayed up to watch Canada win their first game in the World Jrs. the game did not start until 1:30 am uggh. I was fast asleep and warm in bed!

Well off to work, my last full day until the New Year, I have to work a short little four hr shift on the 31st . Hope that everyone has a great day and you do something that you love today!

taking a break from cleaning my craft room if you follow me on facebook, you will see what a big mess it is- remember I moved everything from my son's room to the basement without sorting- yikes that is my project for this weekend. Think I will paint some of the cupboards as well, so MMG can hang them in my craft room for me!

Got a text from my sis, she's feeling better. But she had more radiation today + chemo tomorrow. She's getting meds. I'm so impressed with her. She's always been "the weakest" of us kids, and she's so strong and brave through this! It's amazing!!!

I'm sorting my digiscrap supplies. Been doing it for 2 days now, and it will take ages. I haven't done it in a long while, and have files from other stores and designers I've been CTing for. Now I need to sort through things and see what I have. I'm sorting more in categories than stores and designers. Gee, I have stuff I had forgotten about. I was so happy when I found I had one of Nina's things - you know the turtle doodles. I had forgotten I had them. I have so much supplies, I could scrap the rest of my life and never get out of new things to use LOL

I've said to myself, I'm not allowed to install my new printer and PSE 11 until I'm done with this sorting and backuping. I need to have something to look forward to, or I'd never be done with this LOL But gee ... my eyes are getting tired! :)

I hear you Eva- only I am sorting real life crafting supplies and boxes of papers that should have been sorted long ago- periodically playing with my new toy!
