Halfway through December, ladies! How is everyone doing?

My mom and I did a lot of shopping yesterday, I got a lot done (I think). But if nothing else, we had a nice time together. she has a lot bottled up in her with stuff that has gone on with my brother's IL's and baby shower crap. She needs to get that out, for my brother's sake. if she slips and says something to him, it is only going to hurt him at this point. But she is so mad at his IL's for treating him so badly and he has no idea....grrr- it makes me furious too, but I have to think about how this affects him- no good comes of it.

i should know tomorrow after I put the baskets all together how much more I need to do. I also better get wrapping stuff, now that i have tape!

It's still super-cold here too which makes the pain flare up, but I am off to work at MIL's today, that is always nice. she is almost always in a super positive upbeat mood, although last week- whoa! Bad day for her. She kept apologizing to me as she was venting. Heck, i am the last person you need to apologize for venting hahah!

Tonight is Cait's band concert- Hopefully she will be a bit more enthused that she was at her Choir concert last week. Hopefully Gary will feel up to going, he was feeling really sick yesterday.

I think that is it for me- hope that everyone stays warm and safe in this crazy weather!

I have 2 minutes before I have to go, but let me see if I can get some personals done....

Laurie- how was your day off? oh derrr... you had work yesterday.. is today your day off?
(This is what happens when I read/post too quickly!)

Nana - how did you appts go? I had a weird dream last night that I needed another mammo, had it done and needed another biopsy. Hope yours went better than my dream one. LOL

ME- that is one of my peeves too- I can't think of sweaters and boots in Sept! And bathing suits in april.... I couldn't believe how picked over everything was at Kohls yesterday. Balloon man sounds like fun!

oops- 4 minutes later.... be back in a bit... (I hope!)

morning chris- may day off- but errand running and cleaning and need to call the florist- someone sent us something and neither mr gorgeous or I have a clue- that will be a bright spot in my busy day!

Just popping in for a quick one this morning! We have a dusting of snow but that's all...and I don't think that it will get really bad today so that puts me in a good mood! We finally got the tree last night and it's up in the living room. Probably won't have time to decorate it until tomorrow night. Shaun has basketball practice tonight and Sydney has a gymnastics assessment. Still don't have a single gift purchased. But have a week so plenty of time...right? Work is sooo busy right now! Have 10 open positions to fill...so it seems that we don't do anything but interview during the day...which means all of the work needs to be done during the evening. Ok...enough of my whining. Just wanted to stop in and give you all ((hugs)) and I'll be around more this weekend!

Good morning, girlies. They are calling for 1-3 inches of snow here later this afternoon. I am hoping for the 1 inch, and that's it. haha. I am not a snow lover. I am only working 1/2 day as I am going to C's school for his Christmas Pageant. The Pre-K is singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. It should be so cute. His teachers said they have been practicing the song all week, but they are probably all going to look like deer in headlights once they get on the stage since they have never done it with the whole school and parents there.

I did some holiday baking last night - candy bark for his teachers. Michael's had these really cute Chinese carry out containers with Christmas themes. Totally adorable way to package the goodies. Love them!

Linda - all day interviewing. Ugh! That is exhausting, but on the other hand, that is great that you have job openings since so many are unemployed and looking for unemployment. That's okay you still haven't bought gifts yet. There's always online shopping at Amazon!

Laurie - ooh, a surprise from the florist! What a great gift. Let us know what you get.

Chris - enjoy the band concert.

Love to you all!

Just popping in to say a quick hello and I am out the door to work...did not even get two minutes to be here yesterday. They asked me to work extra shifts for Christmas rush so no time for anything fun :pout: Will be here later today for personals... love you guys!

Up super early (for me) to take my MIL to work. Not at all looking forward to today.

Riley threw up three times (that we know of) yesterday & has been even more clingier than usual. She didn't rip snort around at all last night, no playing what so ever. I'm going to keep her with me as much as possible today, really hoping I don't have to drive across town to meet with clients who aren't at all ready to meet with me.

Just browsed the gallery. So much talent in there! Some absolutely beautiful photography as well! So my oldest has strep. He has to miss his 2 day field trip to a local nature center. Plus DH called in sick. He NEVER does this. He's just burnt out. So the 2 of them have been hangin out all day playing the PS3. What an awesome day for ds! Tonight pizza and movie (Iron Man 2). Had ds make a tshirt iron on for his sister. They sure do know each other well!It turned out super cute. has a fairy and says "do you believe in....Faeries" He even picked out this super cute headband with a huge pink bow on it for her. They are each making 1 gift and buying the second. I have 3 children so they each have to do 2 gifts. They always do a gift for each other. They love it.

We got a card in the mail from my grandmother from Heifer international. Instead of buying us our yearly ornaments she made a donation toward a water buffalo. The kids just thought it such an awesome gift. Wow I just felt so proud at that moment. Just one of those "AHhhhhhh" moments! She also sent us some money to go on a family outing. The kids all agreed on seeing the various Smithsonians during Christmas break.

So I need to get DH 1 more gift. Was going to go today, but it started snowing. I'll wait till that clears up. I have plenty of time. Just running to a local store.

I made up my first ever photo cards and turns out didn't print enough. So I'll make a few hybrid cards for the rest. Also dh wanted me to make an extra photo book now for his mom as well. That'll end up being a little late, but no big deal. Finished the scarf for dh, halfway done with dd. Now oldest ds wants me to teach him to crochet! Aw. He learned to chain the first row rather quickly! He really likes it! Funny boy.
ok well that's my boopk for today. Off to get some cookie recipes finally to make a list for dh to go get along with the pizzas. This weekend will be cookie making!!! Woo hoo!!!!

Hello!! My house is soooooo cold. If it is hot, it is too hot, if it is cold, it is too cold. I cannot find a good place. Ugh!! So, I have fouind that humid climates get really cold when it is cold. Absolutely bone chilling cold. Ugh!! I had to wear real shoes and not flip flops so that I didn't get frost bite. I almost cried. :( I'm trying so hard to get everything together for Christmas. eeeek!! It is getting so close. I am cutting out tags for my mixes and hopefully I can get everything mailed out this weekend. Fingers crossed. Lots of things got me thrown off this week. I am going to get it together. Do you think if I say that enough times it will happen? I did get an amazing package last night though...3 cheers for Chris!! If you ever want to order her products you should. I am never bummed about it. So, I am pretty sure that was a big bunch of rambling. Off to personals so that I can get back to Cmas stuff...

Chris - I'll bet you and your mom have a lot of stuff to vent about. It must be hard to keep that bottled up and keep from slipping. I was talking to a friend of mine who had gone through a MC and she was telling me about how her FIL and told her DH how hard it was for him that he had lost his grandson and all I could think was how inappropriate that was. I mean, he may have felt that way but they were dealing with enough grief, they didn't need that guilt too. Good for you guys dealing with that stuff amongst yourselves and working so hard to not make life any harder for your brother even if it is harder for you. Hugs for you and your mom. I hope your pain is tolerable...Scott's too.

Laurie - I hope you got a fun gift. Enjoy your day off.

LindaS - Interviewing all day? eeek!! Good luck. I hope you make lots of unemployed people happy this holiday season and pick some good people.

ME - have fun at the pageant. How cute. I miss that part with HSing. Those containers sound adorable.

Trudy - Hey girl. I hope you don't get too overworked. Hugs!!

Meg - Hi!! I already talked to you today...so...hi!!

Katrina - Sounds so cool about the gifts. I hope your boys get healthy. Matt needs to not work so much. I'm so glad Derek isn't working so much for the first time in a long time but I sure miss the money, especially this time a year. Glad Cmas shopping is almost done for you.

Alright ladies. peace out!!

well- the gift from the florist was for my husband- from another woman- true enough- but she is a vet that his growers are now using so it was a thank you- I watered it- yeah guess it didn't need water as it pour out all over the table- down the table- through the leaves onto the carpet - NBD- old carpet! did my errands, now to make dinner- my husband will either be late or stay in a hotel - so I get to scrap tonight- going to do more layouts with Maya's newest kit- so glad she is here at the O!! Also- candy alert- my grocery store now has easter candy displays throughout the store- thought about buying cadbury eggs and putting them in the stockings so my kids would think I was crazy!!
