happy December 1!
Honestly, I am not sure how I feel about that. heh. Part of me is excited for the holiday season, part of me is scared to death.

I am feeling a bit better today, definitely more grounded if nothing else. There is absolutely no point in freaking out over what i can't control. Or at least, the freaking out should be limited rather than ongoing. Everyone deserves some good freak out/cranky/pity party time. So that is where I am at, another day, no day but today.....

I love Rent. *sighs* My BFF emailed me with the details this morning. we are taking our girls to see the Off-Broadway show in January, as C-mas gifts. I can't wait. i think that soundtrack is going to be my music of the day for when I am cleaning today.

So here I am blabbering away-- that is way more like me than the "quieter" version you saw the last couple of days. It is a sure sign I am feeling better!

I am going to post this now, because I have a job to do.... Post the December Web Inspiration Challenge! I'll be back for personal and to share links to the new challenges.

Morning Chris- glad cheery you is on your way back. I went to bed early and woke up with a head ache- today I am running a bazillion errands- if my headache goes away- otherwise- just grocery shopping, the bank and hair cut and highlight.

Fran- did you hear about the time off? My fingers and toes are all crossed that you get the time that you need. Hope that your days are getting better too.

Debbie- I love Rudolph! My brother texted me the other night, he was watching with his new son. Rudolph was one of our faves as kids and the two of us were texting random quotes back and forth that night.
Joke snow? That sounds like my kind of snow, if I have to deal with any snow at all. Sadly, my Joke Snow seems to be a foot of it in October LOL

maureen- did you walk yesterday? Good for you! I always gain over the holidays too. I just can't seem to help it.:hungry:
How is YMG feeling today?

Phyllis- i think that quote as well as the one from rent (No day but today) are just soo true, you really don't ever know and you have to "live this moment as the last."

Did you mention a road trip and coffee? I am in!!

trudy-- oh my-- how horrible for your DD, 6 peers in one year? Tragic

Sandra- I was inthe attic yesterday and got rid of three bags of garbage. Not that it made a dent, but better than nothing right? Gook luck with your purging!

Morning Everyone!

December 1 brings lots of activity to the O. Thank you Chris and all the Cheery-O's and designers. I have to tell you when I first came to the O and Anna mentioned Cheery-O's in an email to me I thought it was a cute little English term she used to refer to someone............then I figured it out! (I'm slow sometimes.)

Lots of running errands and working the other side of my computer today. We have an online business and I need to catch up on some orders.

Chris- enjoy listening to Rent and what a fun adventure to go see the production.

Laurie- Hope you feel better and the headache subsides so you can get your errands done and feel well.

Off to check out all the happenings at the O this month.

Back for a few... have to get in the shower, and ready for work but I am not babysitting my neighbor's son this morning so that gives me a little extra time.

Donna- Isn't Cheery-O such a cute name for us? It just fits so perfectly. But we can be british-type Cheerios too. Can we hire a sexy british man to talk to us in that totally sexy accent? Any of YMG's want the job???

(I know-- its we Americans with the accents... )

Phyllis- I about lost it when I realized that there are only *three* weekends before C-mas. I am not even half way done shopping, my printer is running out of ink- which means all of the photos I am printing have to wait. I have 4 gift baskets on order, plus I have to clean my own house before I decorate. Not even getting into the holiday baking!!!!!!!!!

G'day peeps. (Just adding a bit of Oz to the mix)

I had a nice sleepy morning, not getting up til 7am! So much for my idea of going to the mall for mall walking. While doing the am meditation, Dick came down to say that the antibiotics WERE affecting his bowels. Why don't they listen...I had yoghurt for him yesterday, but oh no... Methinks we women have this kind of conversation at least once a week, don't we. Sigh. Anyhow, he sees the cardiologist today and I'll do my walking video then. Cold outside now!

Today, a haircut. Get some more NYC pages done, and start planning bases for our Rhine cruise. I'm going to go with a not-me color, blue. Blue silver and white! That'll be a big change for me. I am so not a blue person.

Christmas planning? well, I don't bake. I learned the hard way in the first 5 years of our marriage that I could easily be a sweet tooth. I still have the pounds to show for those years. Cards? we stopped that early on. Very few of our friends send cards anymore. I suspect it's a lot less important as one ages. Gifts? we don't give each other stuff cause we pretty much have what we want, definitely what we need! It became policy in both our families that once a child had children, the child no longer got Christmas presents. The 3 local grands like gift cards and the other one in AZ gets a magazine subscription.

Our Christmas is pretty simple usually. I came to understand that in Dick's first marriage, it was all about MORE. He revolted. He's come back to a center and even was surprised that I wasn't putting up the big tree this year. I told him if we ever stay home for a full December I will.

Just hopping in real quick to say hi. Still feeling like crap. Will definitely be looking into those garlic pills. I skipped volunteering today since I'm feeling so lovely. I am pretty sure my cheeks are going to explode. I just took some advil though so hopefully it takes down some of the swelling in my face.

To feel better...I think I'll hang out and do some 12 Days of Christmas stuff. Got some photos to take. Did you guys see the Photo Challenge? It will be fun.

Okay, off to go feel sorry for myself while watching kiddie shows with Addie until it is time for school.

I am running late. as usual! Nothing productive for me today I am without a vehicle as DH is using mine since his truck died on the way home the other day and had to have it towed home. Thought it was a fuel filter, turns out it's the fuel pump. $$$

Just popping in real quick on my break......I got up late this morning, well every morning this week...it's just too cold to get up early....hee hee....anyway work is still hectic and Chris, no I haven't been approved for my time off yet.....I'm sure i"ll need to send a reminder.

Mom (mother in law) has been in the hospital since Thanksgiving and may get released Saturday. So I'm not sure how much time I can spend on my computer.
