Aaahhhhhh! :):):) I have coffee this morning and I am a happy girl! We went to the lab yesterday and were so excited that there was a Dunkin Donuts on the way home! That was double-good because it was snowing and I was frozen!
Where is spring, my East Coast friends???

LindaP hey girl! Hope things slow down for you and YMG and that you can enjoy the long weekend. Do you get any days off next week too? We have spring break, so today is the last day until April 20!!

Sara- insomnia is the pits! Sorry that you are going through it too. I feel so bad complaining to Gary how tired I am -- he is *still* not sleeping....only 2-3 hours a night. Sat. he got a full 8 hrs and was thrilled- thought it was over, but nope.
Stupid question, but can you explain your avatar? Who is Valerie?

((((hugs Linda)))) woo hoo!!! 3 days! I challenge you to 4!
How are all of the kids doing?

ME- your basket for Christian sounds cute!! Scott had a puzzle like that when he was probably C's age LOL he loved it!

Joslyn- LOL at Kalin! If Jesus likes chocolate then, he must be good:D

Sandra- hope you got all of your housework done, my dirty kitchen floors are still calling to me. But I worked yesterday and again today- so I don't have it in me to deal with my own house heh. xoxoxo

Dawn, if there is bar hopping inthe Ooo's, I'm in! I read what you and Clara were saying, and I hope that Clara's advice helps. Thinking good thoughts!

Merkee- Whew! Good to hear your back is better- but def. don't push yourself. I don't know if this is medically true, but I heard that once you pull a muscle in your back it never gets back to 100%. Seems that way for me. Give your kitty kisses!

jen, IMO Book 2 was the hardest to get through-- the beginning was slow for me. But once it picked up, I couldn't put it down, then plowed my way through 3 and 4! I think you'll feel the same.
Thanks for drinking coffee for me! LOL

Tali- LOL-- I'd drink coffee black if I had too!Scott left his mug inthe car one morning, so I drank it rather than waste it. he likes his light and sweet.(ew!) But I downed it anyway! I must be a caffiene fiend!
Glad that you had fun in Vegas-- but I am kinda with you- it has no appeal to me. never been there, no desire- give me a beach any day! (Cozumel- we miss you!)

LOL Sally- Scott has asked me so many times to homeschool him, Cait too- and I say that we'd kill each other first! Thanks for the spring pic!! Good to see it is getting nice somewhere.

Lia- congrats on winning!!

Clara- man, you are so busy! Good for you getting all of that stuff done in the house. You ready for the boys to come home? bet you miss them but liked the peace at the same time :D

kelly- what a great b-day present- dinner *and* a camera! I have a Canon Rebel xti that I love. I also have a Canon EOS 35 mm so it wasnice to be able to use my old lenses. But I have heard great things about the Nikon too. Have fun!!

OK my loves, gotta run!

ToT
My temptation would be to sit in front of the computer all day, and alternating with finishing up Book 4 of HP! (not like I don't know what is goign to happen, but it is still excited to read!)

Good morning ladies! I think we have a bit of spring here...not as much as I want but better than yours Chris. Since you have real coffee, I'll send virtual sunshine this morning.

Sally, I love the roses! Thanks for sharing. The fighting is the worst! But it does make me appreciate when they are playing well together. ;-)

Kelly, a D40! You go girl! I have had a Nikon D70 for several years and I love it. And I still don't know half of what I should with it!

I'm running late in getting ready so need to cut this short. But I'm on a roll and wanted to keep it up. Maybe I'll check in tonight!

Have a good day all...it's Thursday!

Yay, last school day of the week for me, then we have Friday and Monday off or Easter Break! I'm really ready to hold the couch down tomorow morning and drown in coffee :)

For Easter it will just be Mr. Wonderful and I and three of the four girls. Jenna will spend the holiday at Stanford. I have family in the area that she will be with. It will be a little quiet here, which I'm ready for!

Things will slow down after Joe and I get back from DC. Until then we'll just all hold on tight! I do LOVE my job! I always tell the kids that I love it most days! There is never a dull moment and always something going on! I really get to know my kids as I generally have them in class for all four years of their high school careers. I get to go on cool trips with them and take them places they would otherwise not get to go. It's cool to provide opportunities for kids and help them to open doors.

We finally made the decision yesterday, we are moving to block scheduling for next school year. I have mixed feelings, but am glad that someone finally made up their collective minds!

Chris - the dunkin donuts on the way home from fasting lab work sounds like a sign from God! Hope it warms up there!

LindaS - hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Thursday to all!

Happy Thursday morning Os! The birds are singin', the sun is shinin', it's cool but pleasant here. We're supposed to get some rain but that's good!

Chris-LOL at the caffeine! I'm the same way about my Pepsi, gotta have it, I just couldn't do the no-caffeine rule my headache doc gave me. It didn't help anyway. And what I wouldn't give for a Dunkin' Donuts, mmmmm, it's been years! Oh, and Spring is here with me :) , sorry, I'll try to fan some your way.

LindaP-sounds like a lovely weekend you have coming up! Block scheduling worked out pretty good for my kids, I think it was harder on the teachers.
Hope the transition goes smoothly :).

LindaS-alrighty, I expect to see you everyday now, LOL! Hope you have a wonderful day today, enjoy the little bit of Spring you have!

HelloooooO to everyone who stops in later, hope you have a great day!

good morning! I'm having a little breakfast right now... I had coffee at 5 a.m. this morning because I woke up at and couldn't go back to sleep... so I got up and watched the 2 episodes of As the World Turns... then I got Will up and ready for school... I was going to start cleaning on my kitchen this morning but got the shakes... I normally don't eat this early, but I did get up 2 hours earlier than usual...

Chris - I did not I was lazy yesterday... actually one of my heels got really rough and split and could barely walk... I love to be barefoot and didn't want to put shoes on in the house, so I didn't do any work... today, I can't put it off any longer... I've got my shoes on and am going to get started after I'm done eating!

hi LindaP, Dawn and Linda!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning ladies! I'm on day 2 of a migraine. I'm not happy about it, but at least it didn't hit while we were in Vegas. Although ... I would have been able to lie down in the dark and take care of myself if we were still there. Now I'm taking care of 3 crazy children that don't quite get it. ;)

Last night we went grocery shopping and got the twinks a haircut. Their curls were out of control!

Tomorrow night is SIL's wedding reception. I am pretty excited. Ella has a really, really cute dress and the boys have cute outfits as well. Can't wait to get some photos of the kids dancing, especially Jacob. That kid is a dancing machine. He dances to commercials, dances in the car, his chair, everywhere. Cutest thing ever.

I need to clean the house today, and this is gonna suck with a migraine. Eric's cousin Ben is probably staying at our house Saturday night so I need to make it look decent. He lives in Milwaukee and we don't get to see him often enough.

Chris - mmmm Dunkin Donuts! Fabulous. When you do hear the results of all your labs? I bought a gigantic container of creamer last night so I am hitting the coffee hard this morning. ;)

LindaS - Have a fantastic Thursday!!!

LindaP - Hanging on the couch for a few days sounds like heaven to me. I hope you have a wonderful Easter with your girls!

Dawn - Have a great day girl!! It is over freezing here already so I'm anticipating a nice day. Yesterday we got to 57!! Beautiful.

Sandra - Oooh girl, I hope you can get some rest today! 5 am is way early. My head is killing me and I'm planning on laying down when the boys nap. We'll see if that happens. I hate wearing shoes as well. I am a constant foot filer and lotioner - I probably put lotion on my feet 5 times a day, as well as before bed. My mom makes lotions and makes me a special foot balm. That stuff heals any cracks!!

Hi ladies, Happy Thursday. It's my last day of work this week so I am feeling good! :) Not a whole lot of scrapping going on in my world, but I've been on a knitting kick these days. Working on some socks. It am enjoying relaxing and watching tv and just knitting most nights this week.

Chris - hope the snow melts soon and it works up for you.

Hi Sandra, Linda and Dawn!

Tali - hoping for some quiet for you andthe migraine passes.

Linda - when are you going to be in DC? If the weather ever warms up around here, it's a great time to sightsee around here. If you need any suggestions about the area, let me know. You will have a fun visit!

Kelly - I got a Nikon D40 at the end of the summer. Go for it! It's fabulous, and it even tricks people into thinking I am a good photographer. LOL. It's so fast and the color is awesome. :)

Love to you all!!

morning girlies!!

i'm getting up to go to my post-op dental appt this morning. it should be a quickie! then i'll run some much needed errands including going to Verizon and having my old phone turned on with my current # since I've lost my cell phone for three weeks. My whole fam is sooo sick of me not having a cell phone! especially mr gorgeous who is a text king and misses texting me while he's in CA...so alas, i'll go and use this old phone...at least it's pink! heehee!! I love fun colors for my cell phones!! Hopefully the kids will do their school while i'm gone.

So, it's thursday, and i still need to get my house together for the weekend...i'm getting restless and want to move everything around. I thrive on change, so moving stuff around would really pacify me. luckily, it wouldn't bother mr gorgeous at all if he came home from CA with a "new look" to the house...unless I spent loads of money...which if you don't have it, you don't spend it, right??? so i'll be good!!! and I'll move the furniture around! LOL!!! for free!!! yay!!!

sandra, have a great day finishing up your house, hun!! :) it always feels so much better to be in a clean house...i wish it didn't take work to get there!! LOL!!

tali, so sorry about your migraine. how fun about jakers dancing all the time. enjoy the party tomorrow!! yay!!

dawn, i'm sooo glad you are enjoying a little bit of spring there...i was starting to feel a bit guilty for being the only one! heehee!! and btw, i meant to tell you that i know EXACTLY how you feel about family sickness and stuff...my dad had a heartattack at 38, and i had some big time soul searching and reconciliation with God about my 38th year! When i turned 39, i was sooooooo "relieved"...but honestly, we are our own persons. and God has a great plan for our lives...not to follow our family in curses of sickness!! (okay...hope that wasn't too cerebral, deep or spiritual for this morning...) just sayin'...i've been there!! {{{hugs}}}

ohhh lindaP, enjoy your quiet Easter!! And your DC trip...cora can give youhints on what to see!! LOL!! and how wonderful it is to love your job...i love mine, too, as long as children aren't yelling at the top of their lungs at each other!! LOL!!!

linda, love the roll you are on here!! your springy, cheeryness is infectious!! love you, hun!! and aren't those kiddos gorgeous when they get along????

chris, darling!! there is nothing better than a dunkin donuts when you need it!! :) when you figure out how to get over the insomnia, let me know...i'm dealing with it big time here, too!! maybe it's that exercise thing again...hmmmmm..LOL!!

for my TOT:
i may not come home for a while after my dental appt!! heeheee...okay...i will miss my cutie pies, so i will, but the thought is still there!!! LOL!!!

love you ALL!! have a beautiful day!

Mary Ellen - We'll fly in May 6th and leave on the 10th. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Capitol on C street. Looks like it will be convenient to lots of things. The student that is going with me is really excited and has a long list of things he wants to see. We'll see who has more stamina, the 14 year old or the old lady!

Sally - I was actually born in DC and have been there several times. There are still things I have not seen! We've got a long list, we'll see how far we get. Depends a lot on how much time we'll be spending in structured activities and meetings.

Hello! Hello!

Today has been an interesting day to say the least. I took Addie to the doctor because she has just been sick for too many days now to not see the doctor. On the way there I got pulled over. The cop took my stuff and then brought it back soon and didn't give me a ticket. he hurried off to someplace else with his sirens on. Close call. So we went to the doctor and Addie had a double ear infection. I got her dropped off at daycare and went to fill the prescriptions then head home for a little bit to take care of some more stuff. As I got in the car to head home I knew I needed my inhaler so I was trying to hurry up and get home...wouldn't you know it but I got pulled over AGAIN!!! by the same cop. What are the odds? So this time I did get a ticket. What stinks is that they were both the common cop sitting places and I was just distracted and not paying attention today. Of course the ticket says I was pulled over twice for speeding. Not going to look good.

I am missing my boys although Ethan think we should live up there. He had a conversation with my hubby yesterday that went something like this:
Ethan: Daddy, I think we should come up here every spring break.
Derek: Oh really. That would be fun.
Ethan: But I want to come up here in the summer too.
Derek: Well, I don't know about that.
Ethan: I think maybe we should just move up here.
Derek: Well, I don't think your mommy would like that very much.
Ethan: Well we can split in half then. Mommy and Addie can stay at home and we can move up her

Crazy kid, thinking he can live without his momma. He better miss me. It has been interesting without them. The house has been quiet, I have gotten a lot done but it just seems off. I can't wait for them to come home. Only two more days. I guess Ethan has just been tearing up the mountain up there being his usual dare devil self. I called Derek last night and his brother answered the phone saying that Derek was finishing getting a jump in the driveway together and how bad he was going to crash. Low and behold he crashed. I don't think boys ever learn their limits. Crazy buys!! Never grow up!!

Ethan starts school next week. Thankfully he is only in 1st grade. They have the WASL next week. It os our standardized testing but it has screwed up a lot of schools. A lot of schools have started teaching to the test instead of their curriculum and they have WASL prep classes and stuff like that. It is horrible. I agree with stardardized testing, but as a way to measure learning. I don't get it. Hopefully it will be phased out by the time Ethan is old enough to take them.

Tomorrow will be a bit crazy. I have to work at the hospital tomorrow. I need to get to bed early tonight and get lots of sleep. It will be nice though. Although you probably won't hear much from me. You guys will just have to miss me. :) lol

Well, I hope everyone is doing great. I'm going to post personals seperately. Have a great day.

ToT - To go home and sleep until tomorrow!!

Chris - Dunkin Donuts sounds awesome. I remember when I was little and they had the window where you could watch the donuts being made. then we'd go home and watch the Smurfs. Those were the days. I hope you get some sunshine soon.

Linda - Yay for 4 days in a row. We've missed you.

LindaP - Your job does sound so cool. Enjoy holding down the couch. It might be ahard job but if it needs to be done then by all means you are the woman for the job. I hope you do get to actually relax. I know how best laid plans go.

Dawn - I know what you mean about the rain. I love the sun and rain all mixed together. If not for the rain things would not get green and bloom all around us.

Sandra - That stinks that you woke up so early but at least you got to chill out and do your own thing for a little bit. I hope you heel gets better soon. Your poor foot.

ME - Knitting? I have no idea how to knit. I can barely crochet. I don't have the patience for it. It takes way too long to see my end result. that is awesome that you can do it though. I hope it is relaxing.

Tali - your poor head. Maybe we should amputate. Haha!! That's what I say to my dh all the time. He doesn't really find it as funny as I do. I love the term twinks. It cracks me up and I love it. Anyway, I hope your head feels better soon.

Sally - Isn't rearranging your house so much fun? It is like having a new house. It is awesome. We have some major redoing to do in ours but I can't lift the stuff myself. We need to do it soon though or at least I'd like to.

Hi Kristen and Lia!! I'll have to check out your blog Lia.

Oh...one last thing. Have any of you guys been skydiving? I think I am going to go in June and I am scared to death of it but I want to go...I think.

I know it's late and most people won't read this. But I did read all your personals tonight. =) I just had a sort of crummy day. busy, people being mad....blech. I'm on my second margarita since I don't have school tomorrow. So that's a bonus.

Chris - I know that you will read this. =) Hope you are warm. It was nice earlier this week here, but it got really cold and sort of rainy today. So that was a bummer. Valerie would be Valerie Bertinelli...http://www.jennycraig.com/successstories/blog/valerie I thought...I have a picture of myself in a bikini from about 15 years ago. I need to make that a little inspiration. And if I couldn't find that picture, I was going to Photoshop myself onto Valerie's picture. hee hee That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

O.k. well...i'm off to go try and read or do something fun. Check in with all tomorrow!

Clara-you poor thing! Pulled over twice by the same cop!! Sounds like my kind of luck. I bet you will be soooo happy to have the guys home :)
Skydiving is on my list of things to do in my lifetime, preferably sooner rather than later, but nope, haven't been yet. I've been thinking about going this year actually :). If you beat me to it let me know how it is! I'd like to have photos of my experience.

Sara-yummy margaritas and I'm green with envy at you for not having to work. I do and even though I took an Ambien I am still up 2 hrs later, ugh. LOL. I hope you have a wonderful long weekend!

Hi Lia, Kristin, LindaP!!!

Sally-You are so right, I pray about this all the time. I know I'm not done here until He says so and I'm good with that, I just can't seem to shake the nervousness. It'll blow over, I already feel better :).

Tali-I hope your head gets to feeling better (((hugs))). Take it easy with all the cleaning if it's still bothering you when you get up in the morning!

Sandra-I hear you on the rough, cracked heels. I haven't had them as bad as you but oh my don't we torture our poor feet? Sounds like it is time for you to have some spa time! Get those babies healed up then go get a nice pedicure at a good place that'll pamper you really well. Not one of those $20.00 places, but one that will massage your calves and feet....mmmm. You deserve a little pampering :).

ooooh my....bed is calling me back ;). Love you all! TTYL!
